Regular Season Week 17

It seems like it’s been weeks since I last posted. It’s been 8 days. I hope you are all having a wonderful, healthy, holiday season! This is the last week of the regular season, and the last time this season I’ll get to see the NY Giants play. Tear.

In other news, Marshawn Lynch has once again signed with the Seahawks, and I believe he will play for them today.

Week 17 also brings a lot of craziness with some teams still trying to get into the playoffs while other teams resting their players so they will be 100% for the playoffs. It’s going to make picking games this week a little challenging. Speaking of picks, I went 13-3 last week.

Here is the recap for week sixteen.

Texans @ Buccaneers 23-20The Texans clinched the AFC South title with this win over the Bucs. This was an UGLY game to watch. I think there were 7 turnovers in the first half, 4 in the first quarter… The Bucs made it a close game but the Texans still came out on top.

Bills @ Patriots 17-24This was a really close game where once again the Pats came out on top winning the AFC East.

Rams @ 49ers 31-34The 49ers won this game, and in doing so, eliminated the Rams’ chance at the post season.

Ravens @ Browns 31-15With this Ravens win over the Browns the road to the Super Bowl will go through Baltimore. The Ravens also earned home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Jaguars @ Falcons 12-24The Falcons have looked pretty good these last few games, but it was too little to late to make the postseason, or have a winning record…

Saints @ Titans 38-28The Titans were no match for the Saints. Drew Brees had 3 touchdown passes and Alvin Kamara had to rushing touchdowns. If he had played like that earlier in the season I might have made it further in the fantasy playoffs, I’m not bitter. Even with this loss, the Titans still have not been eliminated from the postseason.

Panthers @ Colts 6-38The Panthers played more like kittens against this Colts team. I’m sure Pathers fans are just glad that the season is almost over for them.

Bengals @ Dolphins 35-38 OTThis game was ridiculous. The Dolphins had this game all sealed up until the fourth quarter when the Bengals scored 23 points, taking the lead. The Dolphins then tied the game sending it into overtime. It was there that the Bengals fell apart and the Dolphins kicked a field goal to win the game.

Steelers @ Jets10-16Le’Veon Bell seemed to love playing against his former team and dealing them a loss so close to the postseason. The Jets only let the Steelers score any points in the second quarter. Go J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS

NY Giants @ Redskins 41-35 OTDanny Jones had 5 touchdowns in this win over the Redskins. Of course, in true Giants fashion, they blew a big lead and it took overtime to win this game. But, the important thing is, they actually got the win.

Lions @ Broncos 17-27Playing for nothing but pride the Broncos ran all over the Lions.

Raiders @ Chargers 24-17The Raiders keep their playoff hopes alive with this win over the Chargers. The Chargers on the other hand have no hope of the playoffs this season. Derek Carr lead the Raiders to another win, and shockingly the Chargers had many turnovers to help them lose the game.

Cowboys @ Eagles 9-17I was actually surprised that the Eagles won this game. With this win over the Cowboys the Eagles hold off the Cowboys from taking the NFC East title.

Cardinals @ Seahawks 27-13I was shocked to see the Cardinals beat the Seahawks being that Seattle was playing for a first round bye. I guess you could say the Seahawks are pretty banged up if they lost to the Cardinals.

Chiefs @ Bears 26-3The Chiefs are not known for the defense, and the Bears are, but the Chiefs defense held the Bears to only a field goal in their win over Chicago. I knew the Chiefs would win but I didn’t think it would be so one sided.

Packers @ Vikings 23-10This game started out with me thinking that the Vikings just might win this game. Aaron Rodgers threw an interception early in the game which set the Vikings up with a score. But then Aaron Jones’ run game came alive and the Packers sealed the win and clinched the NFC North.

WEEK 17
Sunday, December 29th

Jets (6-9) @ Bills (10-5) [1pm CBS]The Jets are out and the Bills have already clinched the playoffs. The Bills will probably rest some of their starters. I’m still picking the Bills to win this home game but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Jets got the win.

Browns (6-9) @ Bengals (1-14) [1pm FOX]These teams are just playing for pride. I’m picking the Browns to win this game. Again, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bengals got the win.

Packers (11-3) @ Lions (3-11-1) [1pm FOX] The Packers can clinch a first round bye with a win over the Lions and if the 49ers lose to Seattle the Packers could also have home-field advantage through the post season. I’m picking the Packers to win this game.

Chargers (5-10) @ Chiefs (11-4) [1pm CBS]The Chiefs clinched the playoffs and the AFC West title a long time ago, now the fans will also be interested in the Pats Dolphins games. If the Chiefs beat the Chargers (and I’m picking them to do so) and the Dolphins somehow beat the Pats (which is not likely) The Chiefs would get a first round bye and a divisional game at home. With all that being said I’m picking the Chiefs for the win and nothing else.

Bears (7-8) @ Vikings (10-4) [1pm FOX]The Vikings are in the playoffs but still need this win over the Bears, more for confidence than anything else. I’m picking the Vikings to win this game.

Dolphins (4-11) @ Patriots (12-3) [1pm FOX]With a win over the Dolphins the Patriots secure a first round bye. I’m picking the Pats to win this game but I am so hoping that I am wrong.

Falcons (6-9) @ Buccaneers (7-8) [1pm FOX]Both teams have been eliminated from the playoffs but the winner of this game would take the second spot in the NFC South. With the way the Bucs played last week and the way the Falcons have played recently, I’m going to pick the Falcons to win this game. Fun fact: Joe Burrow, LSU quarterback had as many touchdowns (8) in the playoff win against Oklahoma as Matt Ryan has had all season…

Saints (12-3) @ Panthers (5-10) [1pm FOX] The Saints are already NFC South champs and cannot finish any lower than the third seed. New Orleans could get a first-round bye with a win, combined with a failure to win by either the Packers, who visit Detroit, or 49ers, who visit Seattle in what also will decide the NFC West champ. With all that being said I am picking the Saints to win this game.

Redskins (3-12) @ Cowboys (7-8) [4:25pm FOX]The Cowboys can make the playoffs with a win and an Eagles loss. I’d love to see the Redskins beat the Cowboys and the Eagles to lose to the Giants. That way the Cowboys wouldn’t get into the playoffs and the Eagles wouldn’t have a winning record going into the playoffs. I don’t think either will happen though. I am picking the Cowboys to win this game and rooting for the Redskins.

Raiders (7-8) @ Broncos (6-9) [4:25pm CBS]To reach the playoffs, the Raiders need to beat the Broncos and get lots of help: losses by the Titans and Steelers, a win by the Colts and a least a win by the Patriots, Bears, Chargers or Lions. I’m picking the Raiders to win but wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t. Also, I think their playoff hopes end today.

Cardinals (5-9-1) @ Rams (8-7) [4:25pm FOX]Both teams are out of the post season and this will be their last game until next year. I’m picking the Rams to win this game.

Eagles (8-7) @ NY Giants (4-11) [4:25pm FOX]The Eagles have beaten the Giants in the last 10 out of 11 games however Zack Ertz isn’t playing for the Eagles today and the rest of the Eagles are pretty beaten up. The Eagles are playing for the post season and the Giants are playing for spoilers. I’m rooting for the Giants, obviously, and I’m picking the Eagles to win but I am so hoping that I am wrong. GO GMEN!!!!

Colts (7-8) @ Jaguars (5-10) [4:25pm CBS] This will be the last game of the season for both of these teams. I’m picking the Colts to win this game.

Steelers (8-7) @ Ravens (13-2) [4:25pm CBS]The Ravens are sitting all of their starters. RG3 will be the quarterback for the Ravens. The Steelers are beat up but playing for the postseason. I am still picking the Ravens to win this game.

Titans (8-7) @ Texans (10-5) [4:25pm CBS]The Titans can stay alive with a win over the Texans. The Texans are sitting Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins. I’m picking the Titans to win this game.

49ers (12-3) @ Seahawks (11-4) [8:20pm NBC]Marshawn Lynch is returning to the Seahawks for this last game of the regular season. I think that the Seahawks might just win this game with beast mode’s help. I’m picking the Seahawks for the win.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Eric!

Regular Season Week 16

My birthday weekend was amazing! I went 12-4 on my picks (beating all of the NFL Insiders) and the Giants actually won with Eli Manning starting! It was a birthday miracle. Now we are into week 16 which brings zero Thursday night games, three Saturday games, a bunch of Sunday games, and one Monday night game. All of Saturday’s games are on the NFL Network. If you don’t have that channel and you would like to watch the game, you could go to a bar or restaurant that has the games or a quick Google search will show you how to watch the game not so legally. All that said GO BILLS!

Here is the recap for week fifteen.

Jets @ Ravens 21-42
The Ravens did indeed win this game and Lamar Jackson broke Michael Vick’s single season QB rushing record. Vick’s record was through 16 games and Jackson took over the record in just 13 games. The talking heads are saying that Lamar already is the MVP of the season.

Patriots @ Bengals 34-13The Bengals led this game for a short period of time and it was the best time of the game, in my opinion. The Patriots must have reviewed the recordings from the previous week and soon corrected whatever it was they were doing wrong to “win” the game.

Buccaneers @ Lions 38-17Jamis Winston went off against the Lions, and the Lions continued to be the pathetic team they’ve been all season.

Bears @ Packers 13-21The Packers were able to pull off this win even though they didn’t look super stellar. That seems to be the case for them throughout the season. But, they do sit at 11-3 after this win so they must be doing something right.

Texans @ Titans 24-21I shouldn’t have been so shocked that the Texans won this game, but I was. I thought that the Titans had the better team. I also thought that the 49ers would beat the Falcons, what do I know?

Dolphins @ NY Giants 20-36I’m not crying, you’re crying. That’s how I felt at the end of this game when Eli Manning got a standing ovation as he walked off the field. Even though he had 3 interceptions he still lead his team to victory with two touchdown passes. It may very well be his last home game in a Giants uniform, and for that this win was bittersweet. His overall record is now 117-117.

Broncos @ Chiefs 3-23This was the snow bowl game of the season so far. The Broncos, who rely heavily on their run game, were not able to run in the snow and their passing game wasn’t that much better. The Chiefs, on the other hand, didn’t seem to have as much of a problem with Patrick Mahomes throwing for 2 touchdown passes and 340 yards on the day.

Eagles @ Redskins 37-27I really thought that the Redskins were going to pull off a win, but with less than a minute to play in the game the Eagles, led by Carson Wentz, marched down the field and scored a touchdown. They then gave the ball back with 26 seconds left in the game, Dwayne Haskins fumbled the ball, the Eagles defense recovered it, and ran it in for another touchdown. Ouch.

Seahawks @ Panthers 30-24Seattle bounced back from the prior week’s loss to beat the less than mediocre Panthers. The Panthers put up a fight in the last quarter by scoring 2 touchdowns but they needed another in order to win the game.

Jaguars @ Raiders 20-16I picked the Raiders to win this game because, “I think the Jags are done for the season.” Apparently I was wrong. Gardner Minshew had 2 touchdown passes in the last 5 minutes of the game to put the Jags over the Raiders. Better late than never I guess is the Jags motto.

Browns @ Cardinals 24-38I’m a little embarrassed that before this season started I picked the Browns to go to the Super Bowl. This time they got blown out by a 3-9-1 team… The Browns have a lot of problems and it seems that none of them are going to be resolved unless they let head coach Freddy Kitchens go.

Vikings @ Chargers 39-10The Chargers had 7 turnovers in this game. Shocking? No. The Vikings rolled the Chargers in this embarrassing game. Having 3 Chargers players on my fantasy team, I’m sure glad the season is over.

Rams @ Cowboys 21-44Speaking of rolling a team… The Cowboys probably had the best game of their season against the Rams. It started out a little rough for Dak Prescott when he called the coin toss and the ref didn’t hear him clearly and gave the decision to the Rams. But that was the toughest part of the game for the Cowboys.

Falcons @ 49ers 29-22This game came down to the last play of the game. The 49ers thought they had won the game after the defense had stopped a touchdown go ahead score just short of the goal line. Time had expired and 49ers started walking off the field with a win. But then, after further review it showed that Julio Jones had crossed the goal line and it was in fact, a touchdown. It’s safe to say that everyone was stunned to see that the Falcons beat the 49ers.

Bills @ Steelers 17-10The Bills have secured a spot in the playoffs with this win over the Steelers. There was no score going into the second quarter of this game. The Bills defense held the Steelers to only a field goal heading into half time. The Bills then shut out the Steelers in the fourth quarter while scoring 10 points to secure the win.

Colts @ Saints 7-34Drew Brees first broke, then set the all-time touchdown passing record in this rout over the Colts. Brees had four touchdown passes in this game alone. He also had a damn near perfect QB passer rating.

WEEK 16
Saturday, December 21st

Texans (9-5) @ Buccaneers (7-7) [1pm NFLN]The Texans can clinch the AFC South title with a win over the Bucs today. The Bucs have already been eliminated from the post season so they are going to try to play the spoiler card today. I’m going to pick the Texans to win this game.

Bills (10-4) @ Patriots (11-3) [4:30pm NFLN]I want the Bills to win this game, I will be rooting for the Bills as well. The Patriots have only lost one home game in the past two seasons. I will be shocked, amazed, and happy if they lose to the Bills today. I’m picking the Pats to win this game, and hope I’m wrong. GO BILLS!

Rams (8-6) @ 49ers (11-3) [8:15pm NFLN]Both teams are coming off losses and I think it’ll be the 49ers who bounce back for the win.

Sunday, December 22nd
Ravens (12-2) @ Browns (6-8) [1pm CBS]I’m picking the Ravens to win.

Jaguars (5-9) @ Falcons (5-9) [1pm FOX]Both teams have already been eliminated from the postseason. This game is just for pride. I’m picking the Falcons for the win.

Saints (8-6) @ Titans (8-6) [1pm FOX]The Titans have not been eliminated yet and a win could improve their chances… That being said, I’m picking the Saints to win this game.

Panthers (5-9) @ Colts (6-7) [1pm FOX]These teams have also been eliminated from the post season already. I’m picking the Colts to win, only because they are the home team.

Bengals (1-13) @ Dolphins (3-11) [1pm CBS] This is another game with no playoff implications. Heck, if you combine these two team’s records they only have 4 wins… I’m picking the Dolphins to win this game but if the Bengals win I wouldn’t be surprised.

Steelers (8-6) @ Jets (5-9) [1pm CBS]Le’Veon Bell will be playing against his former team, which will make this game a little bit more interesting. I’d love to see the Jets win this game, and I’ll be rooting for them too, but I’m picking the Steelers to win this game.

NY Giants (3-11) @ Redskins (3-11) [1pm FOX]This is a division rival with no playoff implications. At this point these teams are only playing for pride. I was hoping that the Giants would start Eli one more time in hopes that he could end his career with a winning record but it’s been said that Danny Jones will be starting this game. If Eli was starting this game I would pick the Giants for the win. Obviously I’ll be rooting for the Gmen, and I guess, because they won last week, I’ll pick them to win again this week.

Lions (3-10-1) @ Broncos (5-8) [4:05pm CBS]No playoff implications in this game. I’m picking the Broncos for the win.

Raiders (6-8) @ Chargers (5-9) [4:05pm CBS]The Raiders have not been eliminated yet, shockingly. Not so surprising, the Chargers have. The Raiders have only one road win this season, but they need this win to stay “alive”. I’m going to pick the Raiders to win but I wouldn’t be surprised if I was wrong.

Cowboys (7-7) @ Eagles (7-7) [4:25pm FOX] I’m picking the Cowboys for the win, though I’d love for this game to end in a tie.

Cardinals (4-9-1) @ Seahawks (11-3) [4:25pm FOX]I’m picking the Seahawks to win this game, they are now playing for a first round bye and home field advantage.

Chiefs (10-4) @ Bears (7-7) [8:20pm NBC]The Bears have been eliminated from the playoffs and I’m sure they are going to try to upset the Chiefs. I’m still going to pick the Chiefs to win this game.

Monday, December 23rd
Packers (11-3) @ Vikings (10-4) [8:15pm ESPN]This is another division rival. The Packers have already clinched, the Vikings have not. The Vikings need this win more. I don’t think they are going to get it. I’m picking the Packers to win this game.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Week 15 '19 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
December 12, 2019
Regular Season Week 15

Week 15 is my birthday week!!!! This year my birthday just so happens to fall on Friday the 13th! In other news, I got a promotion at work which comes with a schedule change so I now have weekends off! More football watching, just in time for playoffs! Playoffs?! Playoffs?! Playoffs?!?! Let’s get through the regular season first.

I went 10-6 on my picks last week and am 132-76 overall.

Here is the recap for week fourteen.

Cowboys @ Bears 24-31The Bears made Cowboy fans and Jerry Jones weep. It was pretty amazing. Even though I didn’t get this pick correct I was glad to see the Cowboys lose. The first quarter didn’t start so well for the Bears and it looked like the Cowboys were going to thrash Chicago. But then Mitchell Trubisky threw three touchdown passes and ran for one during the next three quarters. Game over.

Panthers @ Falcons 20-40The Panthers problems are only getting bigger after firing head coach Ron Riviara. The Falcons had their way with the kitty cats as Atlanta trampled all over Carolina.

Ravens @ Bills 24-17Even though the Bills lost this game they were able to contain the Ravens more than other teams. Lamar Jackson still had three touchdown passes for the Ravens because he’s pretty much unstoppable.

Bengals @ Browns 19-27The Bengals are looking better, by their standards, with Andy Dalton back but the Browns are just a better team, and that’s not saying much.

Redskins @ Packers 15-20Aaron Rodgers was supposed to have an explosive game against the Redskins. Instead, it was a run heavy game where the Packers only squeaked out a win by less than a touchdown. I was disappointed.

Lions @ Vikings 7-20It was the Vikings defense that was the star of this game. Minnesota had 5 sacks on the Lions which made it easier for Cousins to drive down the field and get some points on the board.

49ers @ Saints 48-4694 points were scored between these two teams. That’s just crazy. It was back and forth all game and just when I thought the Saints had won it, George Kittle dragged three defenders down the field to put the 49ers into field goal range. The field goal was good and the 49ers came out with a win.

Dolphins @ Jets 21-22This game also came down to a field goal and the Jets came out on top in this too close for comfort win against the Dolphins.

Colts @ Buccaneers 35-38Jameis Winston threw for a butt ton of yards (456) and had 4 touchdowns in this win over the Colts. The Colts came very close but petered out and had no points in the fourth quarter.

Broncos @ Texans 38-24If you’d ask me who the starting quarterback for the Broncos was I wouldn’t be able to tell you. His name is Drew Lock and he led the Broncos to their 5th win of the season with three touchdowns over the struggling Texans.

Chargers @ Jaguars 45-10I think that when the Chargers head coach put in Tyrod Taylor at the end of the game last week instead of the Philip Rivers he made a serious point, you’re replaceable. Rivers showed his coach and the rest of the team that he’s still got it and had the best game of the season. The Chargers routed the Jags. I mean, just look at that final score.

Titans @ Raiders 42-21Ryan Tannehill is on fire with the Titans. They have won four straight now with this big win over the Raiders.

Chiefs @ Patriots 23-16This game was very exciting to watch, especially if you aren’t a big fan of the Pats. The Patriots haven’t lost a home game in years and the Chiefs changed that. The Patriots probably should have won this game but there was an obvious blown call where they called the Pats runner out of bounds on his way to scoring, and he wasn’t. Because Bill Belichek had already used one red flag challenge, and got it wrong, he had no more challenges and the play was not reviewed. In other news, the Patriots were caught, again, videoing play calls from the Bengals, which are their opponent in next week’s match up.

Steelers @ Cardinals 23-17The Steelers won this game by shutting down the Cardinals offense and scoring two more field goals than Arizona.

Seahawks @ Rams 12-28The Seahawks forgot to show up for this game. It was tough to watch. I guess the Rams have figured out how to win again.

NY Giants @ Eagles 17-23 OTEli Manning got the start and was truly amazing in the first half. He had two passing touchdowns and zero interceptions. Unfortunately, the defense didn’t help him out in the second half and for some reason Shumer stopped calling Saquon Barkley running plays. It was so frustrating to watch. The game did go into overtime but the Giants defense was non existent. tear

WEEK 14

Thursday, December 12th

Jets (5-8) @ Ravens (11-2) [8:20pm FOX, NFLN]I’m pretty sure the Ravens are going to win this game.

Sunday, December 15th

Patriots (10-3) @ Bengals (1-12) [1pm CBS]The Patriots will win this game but will there be any implications for the cheaters?

Buccaneers (6-7) @ Lions (3-9-1) [1pm FOX]I think that the Bucs are going to win this game. That’s who I am picking, sorry Dean.

Bears (7-6) @ Packers (10-3) [1pm FOX]I’m picking the Packers to win this game only because they are playing at home. It would not surprise me at all if they let the Bears win though.

Texans (8-5) @ Titans (8-5) [1pm CBS]I’m picking the Titans to win this game. It will be a fun division rival game for sure.

Dolphins (3-10) @ NY Giants (2-11) [1pm CBS] Eli is going to start this game too! I’m picking the Giants for the win for the last time this season. Please, don’t let me down boys. GO GMEN!!!!

Broncos (5-8) @ Chiefs (9-4) [1pm CBS]I’m picking the Chiefs to win this game. Pat Mahomes has a bruised hand but I don’t think that is going to slow him down too much.

Eagles (6-7) @ Redskins (3-10) [1pm FOX]I would love to see the Redskins win this game. I am rooting for them but picking the Eagles for the win.

Seahawks (10-3) @ Panthers (5-8) [1pm FOX]I’m picking the Seahawks to win this game. Both teams are coming off humiliating losses but I think that Seattle still has the upper hand.

Jaguars (4-9) @ Raiders (6-7) [4:05pm CBS]I’m picking the Raiders for the win. I think the Jags are done for the season.

Browns (6-7) @ Cardinals (3-9-1) [4:05pm CBS]I’m picking the Browns to win this game but it would not surprise me at all if the Cardinals finally got another win.

Vikings (9-4) @ Chargers (5-8) [4:05pm CBS]I’m picking the Vikings to win this game, I don’t think that the Chargers can have to wins in a row.

Rams (8-5) @ Cowboys (6-7) [4:25pm FOX] I’m picking the Cowboys to win this game but I’m rooting for and hoping the Rams win.

Falcons (4-9) @ 49ers (11-2) [4:25pm CBS]I’m picking the 49ers to win this game.

Bills (9-4) @ Steelers (8-5) [8:20pm NBC]I’m picking the Bills to win this game. I usually never pick against the Steelers and usually never pick the Bills to win so we’ll see how this goes for me.

Monday, December 16th
Colts (6-7) @ Saints (10-3) [8:15pm ESPN]I’m picking the Saints to win this game.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Week 14 '19 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
December 5, 2019
Regular Season Week 14

Well, I made it to the first round of the playoffs then turned around and scored my lowest total points of the season and was eliminated… I guess now, for the rest of the season I’ll just be able to enjoy the game without any of the stress. The Giants have also been eliminated from the postseason after their loss against the Packers. So, really, no stress…

I hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving, and now its on to the crazy holidays in December, and if you are lucky your team actually made it to the Fantasy playoffs and have a chance of winning the whole thing.

I went 8-8 on my picks last week and am 122-70 overall.

Here is the recap for week thirteen.

Bears @ Lions 24-20The Lions backup to the backup quarterback, David Blough, started this game. We all thought, oh man, there is no chance for this to be a good game. Then, the backup to the backup threw a bomb and the Lions scored a touchdown on their opening drive. At that point I became a bandwagon Lions fan for the day to see what else this guy could do.

Bills @ Cowboys 26-15I’m actually super surprised that the Bills won this game. They didn’t start off well at all, but as soon as we sat down for Thanksgiving dinner the Bills made a comeback for the history books.

Saints @ Falcons 26-18This was a revenge game for the Saints. Drew Brees was supposed to throw 6 touchdown passes. Even though the Saints won the game they sure as hell didn’t have 6 touchdown passes and I lost in the fantasy playoffs.

Jets @ Bengals 6-22The Bengals won their first game of the season and I called it!!!!!!!! Woot Woot! It’s the little things in life. It was the first time in 350 days since their last win…

Titans @ Colts 31-17At this point I shouldn’t be surprised that the Colts lost, but I am, I still think they are better than they actually are.

Eagles @ Dolphins 31-37The Eagles lost to the Dolphins…. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Packers @ NY Giants 31-13The weather outside was frightful. And the Giants were not delightful. I wished I had somewhere to go (like to my parent’s house for thanksgiving take two). But, because of the snow, snow, snow. We had to stay home and watch the Giants lose and decorate our Christmas tree.

Browns @ Steelers 13-20I would have liked the Browns to win this game but honestly I’m not surprised they lost.

Redskins @ Panthers 29-21The Panthers lost this game to the Redskins and then they lost their head coach Ron Riviara to firing…

Buccaneers @ Jaguars 28-11The Bucs were able to shut the Jags down, so much so, that they had to sit Nick Foles and put back in Gardner Minshew. Minshew tried to rally but the damage had already been done.

49ers @ Ravens 17-20I just knew the Ravens would win this game. I don’t know why everyone was so shocked.

Rams @ Cardinals 34-7The Rams did indeed win this game. The Cardinals struggled and the Rams looked like the team they were last year.

Chargers @ Broncos 20-23Stupid Chargers, stupid Philip Rivers, stupid Keenen Allen, stupid Hunter Henry. Did I mention, because of these yahoos I didn’t win the first round in fantasy playoffs.

Raiders @ Chiefs 9-40I would say the Chiefs annihilated the Raiders. Also, Coach Gruden looked like an eighty year old man bundled up in his Raiders garb.

Patriots @ Texans 22-28The Texans really did a good job stopping the Patriots until the 4th quarter when they decided to just pad Brady’s numbers… and kick me out of the playoffs.

Vikings @ Seahawks 30-37Tyler Lockett, my saving grace… 3 targets, 0 receptions, no points. The Seahawks win but my season is over.

Ok I’m done complaining. There’s always next season…

WEEK 14
Thursday, December 5th

Cowboys (6-6) @ Bears (6-6) [8:20pm FOX, NFLN]I’d love to see the Bears win this game, but I don’t think the Cowboys will lose this week. I’m picking the Cowboys to win, but I hope I’m wrong.

Sunday, December 8th
Panthers (5-7) @ Falcons (3-9) [1pm FOX]The Panthers fired their head coach and Cam Newton is going to have foot surgery, yet I find myself picking the Panthers to win this game.

Ravens (10-2) @ Bills (9-3) [1pm CBS]I’m picking the Ravens to win this game.

Bengals (1-11) @ Browns (5-7) [1pm CBS]Now that the Bengals have won a game I think they are done for the season. I’m picking the Browns to win this game.

Redskins (3-9) @ Packers (9-3) [1pm FOX]I’m picking the Packers to win this game.

Lions (3-8-1) @ Vikings (8-4) [1pm FOX] I’m picking the Vikings to win this game.

49ers (10-2) @ Saints (10-2) [1pm FOX]This should be a good game. I think that the 49ers are going to win this game and that’s who I’m picking.

Dolphins (3-9) @ Jets (4-8) [1pm CBS]I’d like to pick the Jets to win this game but the Dolphins did just beat the Eagles… So, I’m going to pick the Jets to win this game, but only because it’s supposed to be cold and miserable in NY.

Colts (6-6) @ Buccaneers (5-7) [1pm CBS]The Colts have lost their luster and the Bucs are looking good as of late. I’m picking the Bucs to win this game.

Broncos (4-8) @ Texans (8-4) [1pm CBS]I’m picking the Texans to win this game. It’s going to be weird to just watch football without any fantasy implications.

Chargers (4-8) @ Jaguars (4-8) [4:05pm FOX]I’m picking the Jags to win only because the Chargers have let me down for the last time.

Titans (7-5) @ Raiders (6-6) [4:25pm CBS] I’m picking the Titans to win because the downward spiral that the Raiders are on doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.

Chiefs (8-4) @ Patriots (10-2) [4:25pm CBS]I’m picking the Patriots to win but you better believe I’ll be rooting for the Chiefs.

Steelers (7-5) @ Cardinals (3-8-1) [4:25pm CBS] I’m picking the Steelers to win this game.

Seahawks (10-2) @ Rams (7-5) [8:20pm NBC]I’m picking the Seahawks to win this game.

Monday, December 9th
NY Giants (2-10) @ Eagles (5-7) [8:15pm ESPN]Eli just might start this game!!!!! I will most definitely wear my #10 jersey and most likely cry, knowing this will probably be Manning’s last game as a Giant. That is all… I’m picking the Eagles to win. Go GMEN!!!!

The Shenoa Report

Regular Season Week 13

Happy Thanksgiving!!!! I hope you get to spend time with the ones you love! Get this, the Browns and Jets are 6-0 this month. What in the world is going on?!

I am headed to the playoffs in my fantasy league. I won last week bringing my record to 6-6. I just slipped into the playoffs. Hopefully I’ll win this week. I play the same person that I beat last week. Fingers crossed. I went 10-4 on my picks last week and am 114-62 overall.

Here is the recap for week twelve.

Colts @ Texans 17-20I had picked the Colts to win this game… I was wrong. But, secretly I was happy because I had Will Fuller on my fantasy team and he helped me win this week!

Buccaneers @ Falcons 35-22The Falcons couldn’t maintain their winning streak as the Bucs brought them back down to reality, and losing.

Broncos @ Bills 3-20The Bills dominated this game on offense and defense. Josh Allen had two touchdown passes and the Bills defense had four sacks on Brandon Allen.

NY Giants @ Bears 14-19We watched this game with our Bears fan friend again this year. This time the Bears came out on top. The series between Kyle and I is tied at 1-1. Next year will be the deciding game and I’m sure that no matter who wins next year we’ll push it to the best of 5. Anyway, neither team looked very good and I’ve come to accept the terribleness of the Giants this year.

Steelers @ Bengals 16-10The Steelers ended up benching quarterback Mason Rudolph mid game and put in Delvin Hodges hoping he would screw up less. He did and the Steelers kept the Bengals winless for another week.

Dolphins @ Browns 24-41The Browns didn’t seem to miss their suspended players as they ran all over the Dolphins. Baker Mayfield threw two touchdown passes to Jarvis Landry and one to OBJ (his last touchdown was in week 2). Nick Chubb also had a decent game.

Panthers @ Saints 31-34This game was a shootout. The game came down to the kickers on both teams. The Panthers had a chance to take the lead at the end of the game but the 43 yard field goal was missed. The Saints then marched down the field and Wil Lutz made the game winning field goal to end the game.

Raiders @ Jets 3-34I don’t know what happened. The Jets have won 3 games this month and embarrassed the Raiders. I guess Sam Darnald has overcome his fear of seeing ghosts on the field.

Seahawks @ Eagles 17-9Seattle beat Philly with their run heavy game. Rashaad Penny ran for 129 yards (a carrier best), including a 58-yard touchdown to help put the Seahawks over the Eagles.

Lions @ Redskins 16-19The Redskins got their second win of the season and Dwayne Haskins got his first win as a starting quarterback. Instead of watching the ending of the game Haskins was taking a selfie. Not his best moment. Turnovers have happened in victory formation; can you imagine if that had taken place? Maybe wait until the game is actually over until you celebrate with a selfie.

Jaguars @ Titans 20-42Get this, the Titans scored four touchdowns over six offensive plays in the third quarter, to annihilate the Jags. I guess you could say that the Titans had a really good third quarter, or the Jags a really bad one.

Cowboys @ Patriots 9-13Well the Cowboys didn’t win but they also didn’t let Brady throw multiple touchdowns, which helped me in fantasy.

Packers @ 49ers 8-37This was a very one sided game. I’m glad I didn’t start Aaron Rodgers.

Ravens @ Rams 45-6Lamar Jackson had another five touchdown game in the win over the Rams. The Rams now know how their opponents felt last season when they did the same thing.

WEEK 13
Thursday, November 28th

Bears (5-6) @ Lions (3-7-1) 12:30pm FOX]With Matthew Stafford still sidelined for a broken back, I don’t think there is any way for the Lions to beat the Bears. Also, it’s kind of a Thanksgiving tradition for the Lions to lose the Thanksgiving game. I’m picking the Bears to win.

Bills (8-3) @ Cowboys (6-5) [4:30pm CBS]We’ll be rooting for the Bills today but I wouldn’t be surprised if they lost this game. I’m picking the Cowboys for the win.

Saints (9-2) @ Falcons (3-8) [8:20pm NBC]The Falcons shocked the Saints when they played them earlier this season. I don’t think they will beat New Orleans twice. I’m picking the Saints for the win and I’m hoping for a huge Brees / Kamara game.

Sunday, December 1st

Jets (4-7) @ Bengals (0-11) [1pm CBS]Dare I say the Jets win their 4th in a row? Or do the Bengals get their first win of the season? The Bengals have called on Andy Dalton to come back and be their starting quarterback. I think I’m going to pick the Bengals to get their first win of the season! Good luck Andy!

Titans (6-5) @ Colts (6-5) [1pm CBS]This should be a pretty good game. It’s a division rival and I think that the Colts will win this game.

Eagles (5-6) @ Dolphins (2-9) [1pm FOX]I’m picking the Eagles to win this game.

Packers (8-3) @ NY Giants (2-9) [1pm FOX]I’m picking the Packers to win this game. Go Gmen…

Browns (5-6) @ Steelers (6-5) [1pm FOX]It’s been 17 days since the helmet game. Myles Garrett will not be a part of this game due to the indefinite suspension. Larry Ogunjobi will suit up for the Browns. Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey will not be a part of this game due to suspension. Mason Rudolph will not play due to his benching and maybe a little bit because they’re scared of some backlash. JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Conner also may not play due to injury. I’m picking the Browns to win this rematch. I’m starting the Browns defense as well as Nick Chubb so I really hope they have a spectacular game!

Redskins (2-9) @ Panthers (5-6) [1pm CBS]I’m picking the Panthers to win this game.

Buccaneers (4-7) @ Jaguars (4-7) [1pm FOX]I really hope that the Bucs can shut down Leonard Forenette, as my opponent has him and I really need to win to stay in the playoffs. I’m picking the Jags to win this game.

49ers (10-1) @ Ravens (9-2) [1pm FOX]I’m picking the Ravens to win this game.

Rams (6-5) @ Cardinals (3-7-1) [4:05pm FOX] I’m picking the Rams to win this game. But I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they let the Cards win.

Chargers (4-7) @ Broncos (3-8) [4:25pm CBS]I’m picking the Chargers to win this game. Please, Phillip Rivers, throw the ball to your guys, especially Keenen Allen and Hunter Henry.

Raiders (6-5) @ Chiefs (7-4) [4:25pm CBS] I’m picking the Chiefs to win this game.

Patriots (10-1) @ Texans (7-4) [8:20pm NBC]I really need the Texans to win this game and intercept a lot of Brady’s throws. I’m picking the Pats to win but hoping I’m wrong.

Monday, December 2nd
Vikings (8-3) @ Seahawks (9-2) [8:15pm ESPN]I’m picking the Seahawks to win this game and hoping Tyler Lockett has a really, really, really good game.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Week 12 '19 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
November 24, 2019
Regular Season Week 12

Sorry for the delay in the report. Sometimes life gets in the way.

I did MUCH better in my picks this week at 11-3 and the Giants didn’t lose (they were on their bye)! I lost by 5 points in fantasy, and I don’t want to talk about it.

Collin Kapernick held a public workout to show the NFL that he still has it and wants to play. So far, no teams have reached out to him with an offer.

Here is the recap for week eleven.

Steelers @ Browns 7-21I started the Browns defense so I was pretty excited about the final score. Though the last 6 seconds of the game were the most memorable. Thursday Night games are usually forgettable, not this one. A ridiculous fight broke out after Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph tried to rip off the helmet of Browns defender Myles Garrett. Rudolph did not succeed and Garrett showed him how to. Garrett proceeded to successfully rip off Rudolph’s helmet and started to walk away. Rudolph then charged at Garrett, mouthing off most likely, so Garrett turned around and swung at Rudolph connecting his helmet with Rudolph’s head. At that point Steelers guard David DeCastro threw Garrett to the ground as Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey punched and kicked Garrett in the head. At that point it looked like an ugly street fight you would see in a movie. Browns Larry Ogunjobi, didn’t like what was happening and pushed Rudolph to the ground again. Rudolph, unable to keep his mouth shut, called him a Bitch.

A lot of fines and suspensions were handed out. Myles Garrett: indefinite suspension, Maurkice Pouncey: 3-game suspension (brought down to 2), Larry Ogunjobi: 1-game suspension, Mason Rudolph: $50,000 fine (lame), Steelers and Browns: $250,000 fine each.

Cowboys @ Lions 35-27The Lions managed to hold Zeke Elliott in check but without Matt Stafford they couldn’t beat the Cowboys. Dak Prescott attacked the Lions through the air throwing for 444 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Jaguars @ Colts 13-33Nick Foles was back for the Jags but he couldn’t help them win the game. The Jacoby Brissett led Colts were a force to be reckoned with. Brissett threw one touchdown pass, ran for another, and continued to scramble and help move the chains to beat the Jags.

Bills @ Dolphins 37-20The Bills came alive against the Dolphins. Josh Allen had 3 touchdown passes and ran for another as the Dolphins winning streak came to an end.

Broncos @ Vikings 23-27No Vikings team in history has ever come back from a 20 point deficit at halftime to win a game; that changed with this game. The Vikings were losing 20-0 at halftime and clawed their way back scoring a touchdown on each of their four drives in the second half.

Saints @ Buccaneers 34-17Drew Brees had 3 touchdown passes in this win over the Buccaneers, maybe if he had had 4 touchdowns I would have won in fantasy…

Jets @ Redskins 34-17Dwayne Haskins wasn’t enough for the Redskins to win this game. Even though Sam Darnold threw an ugly interception he was able to actually bounce back this time and lead the Jets to victory.

Texans @ Ravens 7-41The Ravens defense halted the Texans run game and passing game. It wasn’t a good day if you were a Houston fan, but a really good day if you were a Ravens fan.

Falcons @ Panthers 29-3The Falcons have decided to actually start playing late in the season. It was like a switch flipped in week 10 and it hasn’t been turned off yet. I was rather shocked to see that the Falcons were able to contain Christian McCaffrey let alone win against this division rival.

Cardinals @ 49ers 26-36The Cardinals actually lead for the first half of this game. Jimmy G decided that wasn’t cool and threw 4 touchdown passes to rally against the Cards and win the game.

Bengals @ Raiders 10-17Poor Bengals. In other news, who would have thought the Raiders would be 6-4 after the way they started the season?

Patriots @ Eagles 17-10This game wasn’t pretty, no one looked really good. In fact it was Julian Edelman, not Tom Brady, that saved the day by throwing a touchdown pass to put the Pats in the lead and ultimately win the game.

Bears @ Rams 7-17The Rams have stopped their losing streak with this win over the Bears. In other news the Bears decided to bench starting quarterback Mitch Trubisky late in the game. This didn’t help anything for the Bears.

Chiefs @ Chargers 24-17I had picked the Chiefs to win this game, and I was right, but I really needed Keenen Allen or Hunter Henry to score a touchdown on the final drive for the Chargers. That didn’t happen. Instead, Phillip Rivers threw his FOURTH interception. I lost in fantasy and the Chargers lost the game.

WEEK 12
Thursday, November 21st

Colts (6-4) @ Texans (6-4) [8:20pm FOX/NFLN]I had picked the Colts to win this game… I was wrong.

Sunday, November 24th

Buccaneers (3-7) @ Falcons (3-7) [1pm FOX]The Falcons have won 2 in a row. I think they will make it 3 in a row.

Broncos (3-7) @ Bills (7-3) [1pm CBS]I’m picking the Bills to win this game, but I need Phillip Lindsay to have a monster of a game.

NY Giants (2-8) @ Bears (4-6) [1pm FOX]Last year when the Giants played the Bears we watched the game with a Bears fan. The Giants had no chance in hell to win that game, and then they did! Today we are going to watch this game with that same Bears fan. I picked the Bears to win last year and I am going to pick the Bears to win again today. My fantasy opponent has Saquan Barkley in their starting lineup. Therefore, I will also be rooting against Barkley. I’ll be rooting for every other Giants player today. Go GMEN!!!!

Steelers (5-5) @ Bengals (0-10) [1pm CBS]The Steelers are missing JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Conner due to injury and Maurkice Pouncey for suspension. If the Bengals were to win a game this season, this would probably be their best chance. With all that being said, I’m picking the Steelers to win this game.

Dolphins (2-8) @ Browns (4-6) [1pm FOX]Speaking of suspensions, The Browns defense will have two less players due to the brawl that broke out at the end of last week’s game. Myles Garrett and Larry Ogunjobi will not be playing for the Browns. I have decided to keep the Browns defense on my starting lineup in fantasy. I’m hoping because the Browns are playing the Dolphins that my defense will still do well. Also, I have Nick Chubb so he has to have a good game as well. I’m picking the Browns to win this game.

Panthers (5-5) @ Saints (8-2) [1pm CBS]This is the second time this season these two teams met. Last time the Panthers won, stunning pretty much everyone. I picked the Saints to win this game last time and I’m picking them to win again today.

Raiders (6-4) @ Jets (3-7) [1pm CBS]I’m picking the Raiders to win this game.

Seahawks (8-2) @ Eagles (5-5) [1pm FOX]Seattle hasn’t lost a game yet this season on the road, the Eagles have lost two at home. The Seahawks are coming off their bye. I am going to pick the Seahawks to win this game.

Lions (3-6-1) @ Redskins (1-9) [1pm FOX] I think I’m going to pick the Lions to win this game.

Jaguars (4-6) @ Titans (5-5) [4:05pm CBS]I’m going with the Titans to win this game. My opponent has Leonard Fournette, so Titans defense, please shut him down.

Cowboys (6-4) @ Patriots (9-1) [4:25pm FOX] I’d like this game to end 100-0 in favor of the Cowboys since my opponent has Tom Brady and the Pats defense. As much as it pains me, I’ll be rooting for the Cowboys, but I expect that the Pats will win this game.

Packers (8-2) @ 49ers (9-1) [8:20pm NBC]I think that the 49ers are going to win this game, and that’s why I am not starting Aaron Rodgers.

Monday, November 25th

Ravens (8-2) @ Rams (6-4) [8:15pm ESPN]I’m picking the Ravens to win this game.

BYE: Chiefs, Vikings, Cardinals, Chargers

The Shenoa Report

Regular Season Week 11

I said last week that there is usually one week in the football season that everything seems to go sideways. I dubbed that week “Any given Sunday.” The quote goes, “On any given Sunday, any given team can win or lose.” Week ten was even worse than week 9 for my picks… I went 4-9 on my picks this week, OUCH, the Giants lost to the JETS, and I didn’t win in fantasy, thanks New Orleans and Tyler Lockett… The 49ers also got their first loss of the season in week 10 and the Bengals are still the only team that hasn’t won a game.
Things I’m looking forward to in week 11: possibly, hopefully, a fantasy win? The Giants not losing because they are on their bye week! Doing way better on my picks…

Here is the recap for week ten.

Chargers @ Raiders 24-26
This was a really good and evenly matched game. I’m glad I picked the Raiders to win, it was one of the only picks I got right.

Lions @ Bears 13-20
I picked the Lions before I knew that Matt Stafford would be out of the game with a broken back. Had I had that info before I made my pick I would’ve picked the Bears to win. They did indeed win and Mitch Trubisky didn’t look terrible. He had 3 touchdowns in this game and the Bears finally got a win.

Ravens @ Bengals 49-13
Lamar Jackson is a beast. He can run, he can throw, he can spin out of the grasp of defenders. He’s the real deal. The Bengals didn’t have a chance against the Ravens.

Bills @ Browns 16-19
This is why I shouldn’t pick the Bills to win… They of course blew it and the Browns got their first home win of the season.

Chiefs @ Titans 32-35
How’s this for a headline, Ryan Tannehill and the Titans out scored Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs… Any given Sunday…

Falcons @ Saints 26-9
This game left me speechless… Of course I started Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara, and Jared Cook on my fantasy team. I knew I was Saints heavy, but they were playing the Falcons; the 1-7 Atlanta Falcons. They were supposed to have a monster of a day. Any given Sunday… No one on the Saints had a touchdown, and Kamara only had 24 rushing yards… shake my head…

NY Giants @ Jets 27-34
The Giants found a way to lose again… Danny Jones had 4 touchdowns in this loss, and he was sitting on my bench in fantasy. AHHHHHHHH. In other news Sam Darnold isn’t seeing ghosts on the field anymore, because the Giants gave him his confidence back. We’re so nice. (angry face)

Cardinals @ Buccaneers 27-30
The Bucs also got their first home win of the season stunning the Cardinals and the rest of the football world. Any given Sunday.

Dolphins @ Colts 16-12
Technically, the Dolphins, with this win, are having a better month than the Patriots. They have now won two in a row, surprising pretty much everyone. The Patriots lost to the Ravens in week 9 and had their bye week in week 10, but still. Weren’t the Dolphins supposed to be throwing this season for the first pick of the draft? Apparently, Ryan Fitzpatrick still has some magic left. In defense of the Colts, they were without their starting quarterback, Jacoby Brissett, and with Brian Hoyer under center it just wasn’t enough to get the win.

Panthers @ Packers 16-24
This game came down to a goal line stand, in the snow, with Christian McCaffrey (who is a beast of a running back, also the best in the league) against the Packers defense. My opponent had McCaffrey so I was glad he didn’t get that last touchdown, but it wasn’t enough for me to pull off the win. The Saints had already ruined my day.

Rams @ Steelers 12-17
The Rams are in a severe Super Bowl Hangover. They are definitely not the team they were last year. Their losing streak continued after the Steelers defense shut down any impressiveness the Rams had left.

Vikings @ Cowboys 28-24
They said Kirk Cousins isn’t good in prime time. They said he can’t beat teams with a winning record. They said he crumbles under pressure. They were wrong. Maybe they should have said that about Zeke Elliot, he only had 47 yards. It was a good game to watch and I always like seeing the Cowboys lose. AND I got this pick right. Woot!

Seahawks @ 49ers 27-24 OT
The 49ers fell to the Seahawks, recording their first loss in an overtime battle. If it didn’t have fantasy implications I might have actually enjoyed this game. I just needed Tyler Lockett to have a touchdown or two and instead he left the game early due to a leg injury. It was a good game and it kept me up past midnight. Now, no one is perfect in the NFL this season.

WEEK 11

Thursday, November 14th

Steelers (5-4) @ Browns (3-6) [8:20pm FOX/NFLN]
The Browns won their first home game last week. The Steelers are on a 5 game winning streak. I’m going to pick the Steelers to win. In other news, I have to find another defense in fantasy, the Browns aren’t cutting it at all.

Sunday, November 17th

Cowboys (5-4) @ Lions (3-5-1) [1pm FOX]
Without Matt Stafford, the Lions don’t have a chance. I’m picking the Cowboys to win this game.

Jaguars (4-5) @ Colts (5-4) [1pm CBS]
Nick Foles will be back under center for the Jags. Jacoby Brissett will also be back under center for the Colts after missing two weeks. This should be a pretty evenly matched game but I think if the Colts can stay healthy they will come out on top. I’m picking the Colts for the win.

Bills (6-3) @ Dolphins (2-7) [1pm CBS]
I don’t think that Dolphins can win three in a row. I’m picking the Bills to win this game.

Broncos (3-6) @ Vikings (7-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Vikings to win this game.

Saints (7-2) @ Buccaneers (3-6) [1pm FOX]
Well, because my other two quarterbacks are on a bye this week I have to play Drew Brees. I just hope he has a much better week than he did last week. I’m picking the Saints to win this game.

Jets (2-7) @ Redskins (1-8) [1pm FOX]
Dwayne Haskins is starting for the Redskins. I think they just might get their second win of the season, first win at home. The Jets haven’t won a game on the road yet this season. I’m picking the Redskins for the win.

Texans (6-3) @ Ravens (7-2) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Ravens to win this game.

Falcons (2-7) @ Panthers (5-4) [1pm FOX]
This is a divisional rivalry and I am picking the Panthers to win.

Cardinals (3-6-1) @ 49ers (8-1) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m picking the 49ers to win this game.

Bengals (0-9) @ Raiders (5-4) [4:25pm CBS]
I think the Bengals are going to be 0-10 at the end of this game. Raiders for the win.

Patriots (8-1) @ Eagles (5-4) [4:25pm CBS]
It’s a Super Bowl LII repeat. This time I think the Patriots get the win.

Bears (4-5) @ Rams (5-4) [8:20pm NBC]
I’m picking the Rams for the win, I’m not sure why. A blind squirrel gets a nut every once in awhile.

Monday, November 18th

Chiefs (6-4) @ Chargers (4-6) [8:15pm ESPN]
The Chiefs have got to get a win. The Chargers are playing better football but I think the Chiefs still win this game.

BYE: Packers, Giants (thank God), Seahawks, Titans

The Shenoa Report Week 10 '19 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
November 7, 2019
Regular Season Week 10

There is usually one week in the football season that everything seems to go sideways. I dub that week “Any given Sunday.” The quote goes, “On any given Sunday, any given team can win or lose.” Because of this wonkiness I went 7-7 on my picks this week. Though I did win in fantasy, I am now 5-4. The 49ers are the only undefeated team left going into week 10 and the Bengals are the only team that hasn’t won a game, though they were on their bye this past week so they didn’t lose for the first time this season either.

Here is the recap for week nine.

49ers @ Cardinals 28-25
The 49ers are now the only team to stay perfect through week 9 even though they didn’t score any points in the 4th quarter. Quarterback Jimmy G had 4 touchdowns in this win over the Cardinals. The Cardinals didn’t go down without a fight and clawed their way back into the game in the fourth quarter only to lose by a field goal.

Texans @ Jaguars 26-3I was wrong. I thought the Jags would have the edge being that they are the only team in the NFL to play the London game for the 7th time, while the Texans were making their first trip. Jacksonville looked so bad, on offense and defense, that they made the Texans look really good and shine in their first win across the pond.

Redskins @ Bills 9-24The Bills did indeed bounce back against the Redskins as rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins got his first career start and loss for Washington. The Bills, surprisingly, have only 2 losses this season. Bills fans are just waiting for the bottom to drop out, while the Redskins are just glad that the Nationals won the World Series to take the pressure off them.

Vikings @ Chiefs 23-26It has been said, and still seems true, that when the pressure is on Kirk Cousins folds. Cousins had a lousy day against the Chiefs defense, that has miraculously gotten much better. Matt Moore had a great day for the Chiefs with a lot of help from Tyreek Hill. This game also came down to a field goal as time expired on the clock. Harrison Butker’s kick split the uprights giving the Chiefs 3 more points and the win.

Jets @ Dolphins 18-26This was supposed to be the game that Sam Darnald got his groove back. This was also the game that the Dolphins could actually get their first win of the season. The final score shows you that Darnald did not get his groove back as the Dolphins finally got a win. One of the commentators made a funny joke about Ryan Fitzpatrick, saying that every game he plays in is like a revenge game because he’s played for practically every team. This was indeed a revenge game for Fitzpatrick, and revenge was had. He threw 3 touchdowns against his old defense.

Bears @ Eagles 14-22The Eagles are getting healthier, for the most part, and coming together at the right time. The Bears, on the other hand, continue to struggle and, therefore, lose.

Colts @ Steelers 24-26The Colts fell apart after Jacoby Brissett left the game in the second quarter with a knee injury. Brian Hoyer took over for Brissett and was doing okay until he threw a pick six giving Pittsburgh the lead. Vinatieri had a chance late in the fourth to put the Colts back on top and possibly even win the game until he missed a 43 yard field goal.

Titans @ Panthers 20-30Christian McCaffrey had 3 touchdowns in the Panthers win over the Titans. Tennessee just couldn’t stop McCaffrey or anyone else on the Panthers team. In other Panther news Cameron Newton was placed on IR ending his 2019 season.

Lions @ Raiders 24-31The Lions have lost some really close games this season. Several times they’ve come so close only to lose in the final minutes. The Raiders have really come together as a team after the preseason Hard Knocks and diva AB ridiculousness. Derek Carr had two touchdowns to put the Raiders over the Lions.

Buccaneers @ Seahawks 34-40 OTThis game shouldn’t have been neck in neck the entire time, but it was. Russell Wilson had 5 touchdowns in this win while Tyler Lockett was another shining star for the Seahawks and my fantasy team with 13 receptions, 152 yards and 2 touchdowns. He gave me 41 points and was solely responsible for my win this week.

Browns @ Broncos 19-24The Broncos offense finally came alive as the Browns troubles worsened. Will head coach Freddy Kitchens make it to next season?

Packers @ Chargers 11-26This was definitely one of the “any given Sunday” games. What in the world? I still can’t believe that the Packers lost to the 3-5 Chargers… It’s like the Packers defense forgot how to stop the run. Melvin Gordon scored two touchdowns against them. Chargers kicker, Michael Badgley, was clutch for me in fantasy as he had 4 field goals as well as extra points. A-aron, on the other hand was a big disappointment.

Patriots @ Ravens 20-37Woot Woot Ravens! Way to knock off the Pats. This was a good game to watch. Lamar Jackson was literally unstoppable against the Pats defense, which is really saying something. Baltimore’s defense didn’t let the Pats score in the first or fourth quarter of the game. It was magical.

Cowboys @ NY Giants 37-18I really don’t want to talk about this game. The first half was good. The end.

WEEK 10

Thursday, November 7th

Chargers (4-5) @ Raiders (4-4) [8:20pm FOX/NFLN]This should be a really good and evenly matched game. I am only picking the Raiders to win because they are the home team.

Sunday, November 10th

Lions (3-4-1) @ Bears (3-5) [1pm CBS]I really think that the Lions are going to win this game. I don’t know why. I just have a feeling.

Ravens (6-2) @ Bengals (0-8) [1pm CBS]I don’t think that the Bengals are going to win this game. I’m picking the Ravens for the win.

Bills (6-2) @ Browns (2-6) [1pm CBS]I’m picking the Bills to win this game. Pretty soon Bud Lite is going to have to give away free beer again for a Browns win. Kareem Hunt is slated to play for the Browns after serving an 8 game suspension. I’m not sure if this will help the team or add to the disarray.

Chiefs (6-3) @ Titans (4-5) [1pm CBS]I’m picking the Chiefs to win this game. Patrick Mahomes is supposed to play.

Falcons (1-7) @ Saints (7-1) [1pm FOX]I’m picking the Saints to win this game, Brees is supposed to be back as well.

NY Giants (2-7) @ Jets (1-7) [1pm FOX]The heck if I know. Against my better judgement I’m going to pick the Giants to win but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they messed it up.

Cardinals (3-5-1) @ Buccaneers (2-6) [1pm FOX]The Bucs haven’t won at home yet this season. I don’t think they are going to win this game either. I am picking the Cardinals to win.

Dolphins (1-7) @ Colts (5-3) [4:05pm CBS]Now that the Dolphins have won a game I think they won’t play as hard. I’m picking the Colts to win this game.

Panthers (5-3) @ Packers (7-2) [4:25pm FOX] I’m picking the Packers to bounce back and win this game over the Panthers.

Rams (5-3) @ Steelers (4-4) [4:25pm FOX]I’m picking the Rams to beat the Steelers.

Vikings (6-3) @ Cowboys (5-3) [8:20pm NBC] I’m picking the Vikings to bounce back and beat the Cowboys.

Monday, November 11th

Seahawks (7-2) @ 49ers (8-0) [8:15pm ESPN]This is going to be a great game. I think that the 49ers are going to stay perfect and win this game as well.

The Shenoa Report Week 9 '19 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 31, 2019
Regular Season Week 9

Happy Halloween! As you know, Halloween brings candy and with candy brings player parallels. Looking at my fantasy football roster I’m going to have to associate Aaron with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, because that’s the best candy in the history of candy. Tom Brady would have to be black licorice, because unless you’re a Patriots fan, nobody likes him, yet they still make that dumb stupid candy and it still sells. Erik Ebron would have to be Butter Fingers, because … yeah. And DeSean Jackson would be candy corn because you just can’t seem to get rid of him.

In non football news, the Nationals have won the World Series and Stephen Curry is out for a couple of months with a broken hand for the Warriors.

I went 14-1 on my picks this week! I don’t really want to discuss fantasy or the Giants. The Patriots and 49ers are still the only undefeated teams left going into week 9 and the Bengals and Dolphins still haven’t gotten a win.

Here is the recap for week eight.

Redskins @ Vikings 9-19
Kirk Cousins was victorious against his former team even though he didn’t throw a single touchdown. Dalvin Cook was the only guy who had a touchdown in this game.

Seahawks @ Falcons 27-20
The Seahawks bounced back and got the win in Atlanta, while the Falcons continued their downward spiral.

Eagles @ Bills 31-13
I knew this would be a trap game for the Bills! Sorry Bills fans, sit down, be humble.

Chargers @ Bears 17-16
This is the only game I picked incorrectly. And the Bears really should have won, except Chicago’s kicker missed a field goal as time expired. The Bears are suffering again this season from the curse of the kicker.

NY Giants @ Lions 26-31
I knew the Giants would blow it this week, but what made it worse was my opponent in fantasy had Matt Stafford as his quarterback… Stafford thew 3 touchdown passes. Danny Jones had 4 touchdown passes, but he was on my bench…

Buccaneers @ Titans 23-27
The Titans have won two in a row after coming back to beat the Bucs. It helped that Jamis Winston threw 2 interceptions.

Broncos @ Colts 13-15
Adam Vinatieri has been struggling a lot this season, but he was clutch when he made the game winning 51 yard field goal with 22 seconds left in the game.

Bengals @ Rams 10-24
This game was held in London. It was a long trip across the pond and back again, especially for the Bengals. They are still winless as the Rams beat up on them. After going 0-8 Cincinnati benched Andy Dalton, on his birthday!

Cardinals @ Saints 9-31
Drew Brees was back under center and passed for 373 yards and 3 touchdowns in his return after thumb surgery. I’m sure Saints fans are glad he is back, and throwing touchdowns.

Jets @ Jaguars 15-29
Sam Darnold was definitely still rattled, throwing three more interceptions this game. This was good news for me, as I started the Jacksonville defense in fantasy.

Panthers @ 49ers 13-51
This game was embarrassing for the Panthers. The 49ers, on the other hand, remain unbeaten and seem to be better than Rice A Roni, the San Francisco treat! Ding! Ding!

Browns @ Patriots 13-27
The Browns are not the team that I thought they would be this season. Bill Belichick racked up his 300th career coaching win.

Raiders @ Texans 24-27
This was a close game and even though the Texans got the win it came at a costly price. J.J. Watt tore his pectoral muscle and will miss the rest of the season.

Packers @ Chiefs 31-24
Patrick Mahomes did not start this game and backup QB Matt Moore tried to lead the Chiefs to victory. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, they were playing Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Aaron Rodgers had 3 touchdown passes and basically dominated the game.

Dolphins @ Steelers 14-27
The Dolphins were up 14-0 in this game and it didn’t look good for the Steelers. Luckily for the Steelers they were playing the Dolphins and Miami couldn’t keep it together to upset Pittsburgh.

WEEK 9
Thursday, October 31st

49ers (7-0) @ Cardinals (3-4-1) [8:20pm FOX/NFLN]
I think that the 49ers will beat the Cardinals and stay perfect through week 9.

Sunday, November 3rd
Texans (5-3) @ Jaguars (4-4) [9:30am NFLN]
This is yet another London game. The Jaguars seem to do well across the pond, 3-3. The Texans have never made the trip and are without J.J. Watt. For the fact that Houston has never been to London before, I’m picking the Jags to win.

Redskins (1-7) @ Bills (5-2) [1pm FOX]
I think the Bills will bounce back and win this game.

Vikings (6-2) @ Chiefs (5-3) [1pm FOX]
The Chiefs have not won a home game yet this season. They may still be without Mahomes. I’m going to pick the Vikings to win this game.

Jets (1-6) @ Dolphins (0-7) [1pm CBS]
I think that the Jets might bounce back but this might just be the game that the Dolphins win. I’m picking the Jets though.

Bears (3-4) @ Eagles (4-4) [1pm FOX]
Until the Bears fix their offense problems, I’m going to have to pick the Eagles for the win.

Colts (5-2) @ Steelers (3-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m going to pick the Colts to get the W.

Titans (4-4) @ Panthers (4-3) [1pm CBS]
After the Panthers got annihilated last week, I’m not sure they can bounce back and win this game. The Titans are coming off two wins in a row. I’m going to pick the Titans to win this game.

Lions (3-3-1) @ Raiders (3-4) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m picking the Raiders to beat the Lions.

Buccaneers (2-5) @ Seahawks (6-2) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m taking the Seahawks in this game.

Browns (2-5) @ Broncos (2-6) [4:25pm CBS]
Both teams only have 2 wins. There is a lot of drama surrounding the Browns. I’m picking the Broncos for the win.

Packers (7-1) @ Chargers (3-5) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking the Packers to win this game.

Patriots (8-0) @ Ravens (5-2) [8:20pm NBC]
I’d love to see the Ravens knock off the Pats, but it’s not likely. I’m picking the Pats for the win.

Monday, November 4th
Cowboys (4-3) @ NY Giants (2-6) [8:15pm ESPN]
I'll be rooting for the Giants and picking the Cowboys for the win, because I’m a realist

BYE: Falcons, Bengals, Rams, Saints

The Shenoa Report Week 8 '19 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 24, 2019
Regular Season Week 8

Week 7 was much better all around, except for the Giants... They were terrible. I went 10-4 on my picks and finally won in fantasy. It helped that I started Aaron Rodgers, who racked up 45 points! I am now 4-3 in my fantasy league, 2nd place in my division and 3rd overall. The Patriots and 49ers are still the only undefeated teams left going into week 7 and the Bengals and Dolphins still haven’t gotten a win.

Here is the recap for week seven.

Chiefs @ Broncos 30-6Patrick Mahomes went out of the game with a displaced knee cap and didn’t return. It was gross. But, even with Mahomes out the Broncos were not able to put pressure on the Chiefs. KC walked all over the Broncos, their defense showed up in a big way. All the experts were saying that Phillip Lindsay was going to have a monsterous game over the Chiefs depleted defense… He put up 4 points for my fantasy team. I thought I was going to have another losing week.

Rams @ Falcons 37-10My fantasy woes continued when I found out that Alvin Kamara would not play for the Saints this week so I frantically drafted Rams RB3 Henderson in a pinch. I figured any points would be better than no points. Henderson gave me another 4 points… It was looking pretty bleak in the fantasy world. As for this game, Jalen Ramsey gave the Rams the defensive boost they were hoping for and the Falcons nightmare continued. Devonta Freeman got ejected from the game after getting into it with Rams Aaron Donald. Matt Ryan left the game early after awkwardly bending his right leg after yet another sack and did not return to the game. Todd Gurley was back from injury for the Rams and was able to get a touchdown, unfortunately for me that touchdown was to the wrong Rams RB.

Dolphins @ Bills 21-31The Bills did not look good at the beginning of this game, and I thought it might be a trap game for them. They actually had to rally from a 5 point deficit to beat the Dolphins. The Dolphins had the lead going into the fourth quarter and then it was like a light switch was flicked and the Bills defense showed up. The Bills scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to beat the Dolphins.

Jaguars @ Bengals 27-17The Jags didn’t need Jalen Ramsey to beat the Bengals, other defenders stepped up. It was Yannick Ngakoue, easy for you to say, who had a pick 6 at the end of the game to seal the win for the Jags.

Vikings @ Lions 42-30
I said that it all depended on which Kirk Cousins showed up for the Vikings. He matched his career high with four touchdown passes as the Vikings beat the Lions. This is why I don’t pick the Lions to win, because when I do, they don’t.

Raiders @ Packers 24-42I’m not gonna lie, I thought about benching Aaron Rodgers and starting Danny Jones in fantasy league because I was sick and tired of Aaron only putting up 8 to 12 points. It’s a good thing I didn’t, because Aaron put up 45 points with 429 throwing yards, 5 passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown and a perfect quarterback rating for the day. Thank you Aaron for putting a W in my win column.

Texans @ Colts 23-30The Colts took the number one spot in the AFC South with this win over the Texans. Colts fans are saying Andrew Luck who? Jacoby Brissett is holding his own as the Colts starting QB, having four touchdowns in this win over the Texans.

Cardinals @ NY Giants 27-21The Giants are stupid. This is a game they should have easily won, so obviously they screwed it up. Since gaining the starting job, Danny Jones has had something like 11 interceptions. They should just put Eli back in the lineup if Danny is going to play like this. It isn’t any fun being a Giants fan this season, and I have said that for too many seasons in a row now. NY made the Cardinals look good, really good, too good. They aren’t that great. Thanks Gmen for ruining another weekend.

49ers @ Redskins 9-0This final score was one of the most shocking. I mean, I knew the 49ers would win but I thought they would have at least four touchdowns in doing so. As it turns out, there were just 3 field goals by Robbie Gould to give the 49ers the win. The game looked almost like it was being played in a fish bowl with all the rain that fell.

Chargers @ Titans 20-23Melvin Gordon may be back for the Chargers but it isn’t the same guy the Chargers fans expected, as he could have scored the game winning touchdown from the goal line with 15 seconds left but instead fumbled the ball and the Chargers lost the game.

Saints @ Bears 36-25Mitchell Trubisky was back for the Bears but their offense still needs a lot of work. When they get both offense and defense on the same page they will be unstoppable. On the other hand, the Saints haven’t lost a game since Teddy Bridgewater started for injured Drew Brees. Alvin Kamara also didn’t play in this game but it didn’t seem to matter much. Saints win.

Ravens @ Seahawks 30-16The struggle was real for the Seahawks on Sunday. They couldn’t stop Lamar Jackson, who I believe has more rushing yards than the total of 8 NFL teams. The Ravens defense also scored on a couple of Seahawks turnovers.

Eagles @ Cowboys 10-37The Cowboys slaughtered the Eagles on offense and defense Sunday night. Ezekiel Elliot ran all over the Eagles defense while Carson Wentz had an interception and two of the three lost fumbles for the Eagles. It was embarrassing, yet as a Giants fan, thrilling to watch.

Patriots @ Jets 33-0Speaking of embarrassing… This game was ugly. Jets quarterback, Sam Darnald, looked lost and overwhelmed. In my opinion they should have pulled him, just to give him a break, and to dampen the nightmares that were sure to come after the game if he was even able to sleep at all that night. Darnold had five turnovers in the Patriots shut out of the Jets.

WEEK 8
Thursday, October 24th

Redskins (1-6) @ Vikings (5-2) [8:20pm FOX/NFLN]I’m picking the Vikings to win this game, though I do wonder how it will feel for the Redskins defense to get pressure on their former QB Kirk Cousins, and vice versa with Case Keenum and the Vikings defense.

Sunday, October 27th
Seahawks (5-2) @ Falcons (1-6) [1pm FOX]After another humiliating loss for the Seahawks last week I think they will bounce back and beat the Falcons.

Eagles (3-4) @ Bills (5-1) [1pm FOX]I think this is going to be a trap game for the Bills. I am picking the Eagles to win.

Chargers (2-5) @ Bears (3-3) [1pm FOX]I think the Bears will get this win even though they are struggling this year, the Chargers are struggling more.

NY Giants (2-5) @ Lions (2-3-1) [1pm FOX]Well, after that awful game last week I’m back to not picking the Giants until they win again… I’m picking the Lions to win this game.

Buccaneers (2-4) @ Titans (3-4) [1pm FOX]I’m taking the Titans for the win.

Broncos (2-5) @ Colts (4-2) [1pm CBS]The Broncos have a good defense, sometimes. I’m taking the Colts in this matchup.

Bengals (0-7) @ Rams (4-3) [1pm CBS]I’m pretty sure that the Bengals are going 0-8. I’m picking the Rams for the win.

Cardinals (3-3-1) @ Saints (6-1) [1pm CBS]Drew Brees might actually play this week. Hopefully Alvin Kamara is back. I’m picking the Saints for the win.

Jets (1-5) @ Jaguars (3-4) [1pm CBS]I’m picking the Jags for the win. I wonder if Sam Darnald is still rattled?

Panthers (4-2) @ 49ers (6-0) [4:05pm FOX]I’m picking the 49ers to win this game.

Browns (2-4) @ Patriots (7-0) [4:25pm CBS] Josh Gordon is out for the season. I almost dropped Mohamed Sanu, but then he was traded to the Pats so I think I’ll keep him on my bench. I’m pretty sure that the Patriots are going to stay perfect another week. I’m picking them to win.

Raiders (3-3) @ Texans (4-3) [4:24pm CBS]I’m picking the Texans to win but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Raiders upset them.

Packers (6-1) @ Chiefs (5-2) [8:20pm NBC] I heard on the radio today that Patrick Mahomes wanted to start this game. I don’t know if it’ll happen. Either way I’m picking the Packers to win this game.

Monday, October 28th
Dolphins (0-6) @ Steelers (2-4) [8:15pm ESPN]I’m picking the Steelers to win this game and for the Dolphins to still be winless.

The Shenoa Report Week 7 '19 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 17, 2019
Regular Season Week 7

This week I’m writing you from the hospital. Don’t worry, everything is ok. Really. I’m sitting with my mom waiting for my dad to get out of surgery. He’s ok too, and right before they wheeled him in he told me I better finish this report so that when he gets home he can share it with his friends. My dad is great, and because of him I am that crazy NY Giants fan. Every Sunday we have our weekly football phone call. When I lived in NC it was those phone calls and this blog that kept us connected.

He’s out of surgery and everything went well. He’ll be able to share the report tonight!

Week 6 was marginally better for me and my picks. I went 9-5 and am 3-3 in my fantasy league. The Patriots and 49ers are still the only undefeated teams left going into week 7 and the Bengals and Dolphins still haven’t gotten a win.

Here is the recap for week six.

NY Giants @ Patriots 14-35
Neither team looked all that great, and that’s saying something. The score was quite close the first few quarters and the Giants actually looked like they had a chance for just a moment... then the fourth quarter came and the bottom fell out.

Panthers @ Buccaneers 37-26
The Bucs looked incredibly bad this game. Jamis Winston had multiple interceptions and fumbles, as the Bucs had 6 turnovers. On the other hand they made the Panthers defense look amazing.

Seahawks @ Browns 32-28
The Browns scored two touchdowns in the first quarter and shocked the Seahawks. Then the Seahawks decided to show up and shocked the Browns by winning the game.

Texans @ Chiefs 31-24
Tyreek Hill is back for the Chiefs and his first touchdown catch was incredible. It looked like he jumped 7 feet in the air over his defenders to secure the ball and run it in for a touchdown. The Chiefs looked unstoppable, until someone fell on Patrick Mahomes’ ankle and he hobbled around for the rest of the game, that they ultimately lost.

Redskins @ Dolphins 17-16
The Redskins seemed to have this game secured until the Dolphins put Fitzmagic into the game because they needed a “spark”. Fitzpatrick lead the team down the field and an extra point would have tied the game and sent it into overtime. The Dolphins coach wanted to win so badly that he called for the 2 point conversion and they didn’t convert. The Dolphins are still without a win this season.

Eagles @ Vikings 20-38
Kirk Cousins had 4 touchdown passes, 3 of which went to Stefon Diggs as the Vikings walked all over the Eagles.

Saints @ Jaguars 13-6
I needed Alvin Kamara and Jared Cook to have a big game for the Saints as well as the Jags putting up big defensive points. Neither happened, this lead to a fantasy loss for me.

Bengals @ Ravens 17-23
The Bengals scored first, but the Ravens scored more often. Another Bengals loss came as no surprise. They too have not gotten a win this season.

49ers @ Rams 20-7
Are the 49ers really this good or are the Rams not the Rams of last season. I think, maybe both. The 49ers defense allowed only one score and their offense is on point with Jimmy Garoppolo under center.

Falcons @ Cardinals 33-34
Kyler Murray has seemed to find his place in the NFL. The rookie quarterback threw for 340 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Falcons came back in a big way, but the Cardinals fought till the end to secure the win.

Titans @ Broncos 0-16
This was the most surprising game for me this week. The Titans aren’t terrible but were shut out in Denver. They even benched Marcus Mariota and put in Ryan Tannehill to see if that would help them score points. It didn’t. The Broncos defense was legit this game.

Cowboys @ Jets 22-24
I got this pick wrong and I am totally ok with it. Everyone, myself included, thought that the Cowboys were amazing winning the first 3 games of the season. As it turns out, they weren’t playing really good teams and have lost the last 3. The Jets got their first win of the season and I’m sure it felt oh so good.

Steelers @ Chargers 24-17
The Steelers, with their third string quarterback, beat the Chargers. Ouch. The Chargers have to get it together. On the fantasy football side, I am glad that Hunter Henry is back for them, and for my team.

Lions @ Packers 22-23
The officiating in the league is horrible. There is talk of full time officials. It needs to happen. The Lions should have won this game. Trey Flowers, who has never in his entire career been called for illegal hands to the face, was flagged not once but twice for this penalty. Trey never touched the guy’s helmet. His hand was on the collar. The two penalties helped advance the ball late in the fourth quarter for the Packers. This allowed the Packers to kick a field goal with 2 seconds left in the game. The Packers made the field goal and “won” the game. Sorry Detroit fans, you were robbed.

WEEK 7

Thursday, October 17th

Chiefs (4-2) @ Broncos (2-4) [8:20pm FOX/NFLN]
The Chiefs have lost two in a row and the Broncos have won two in a row coming into this game. The Chiefs are pretty beat up and don’t have a great defense. The Broncos have a good defense but have been struggling in the air on offense. I think this will be a close game but the Chiefs will squeak out a win.

Sunday, October 20th

Rams (3-3) @ Falcons (1-5) [1pm FOX]
Both teams have been struggling this season, the Falcons seemingly moreso. I’m going to pick the Rams to win. They acquired Jalen Ramsey this week and that should help their defense, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Falcons pulled it off.

Dolphins (0-5) @ Bills (4-1) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bills to win this game. They are fresh off their bye and I don’t think Fitzmagic is enough to give the Dolphins a win.

Jaguars (2-4) @ Bengals (0-6) [1pm CBS]
The Jags no longer have Ramsey but that may help them in the long run. There is no more division in the team having him gone. I’m going to pick the Jags to win this game.

Vikings (4-2) @ Lions (2-2-1) [1pm FOX]
The Lions must be hoppin mad after the way the game went Monday night. This should be a good game. It all depends on which Kirk Cousins shows up for the Vikings. If he has a good game they will win if he doesn’t the Lions will win. I’m going to pick Detroit at home.

Raiders (3-2) @ Packers (5-1) [1pm CBS]
I’m going to take the Packers in this game. Hopefully there will be some receivers to catch Aaron’s passes for lots and lots of touchdowns.

Texans (4-2) @ Colts (3-2) [1pm CBS]
This should be a pretty evenly matched game. I’m picking the Texans to win this one.

Cardinals (2-3-1) @ NY Giants (2-4) [1pm FOX]
Had this game been week 3 I would, without hesitation, pick the Giants… Week 7 seems to be a different story. Kyler Murry is getting better and better every game with the Cardinals and the Giants, once again, are injury ridden. But, the Giants are at home, and Saquan Barkley might just play… I’m picking the Giants for the win.

49ers (5-0) @ Redskins (1-5) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m picking the 49ers to win this game. I don’t think the Redskins have much of a chance.

Chargers (2-4) @ Titans (2-4) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m hoping that the Chargers will bounce back but they haven’t impressed me in the last few games. I think I’m going to pick the Titans to win this game

Saints (5-1) @ Bears (3-2) [4:25pm FOX]
Kamara is questionable for the Saints and that makes me extremely nervous. I hope things change soon, for the better. Even though the Bears have a great defense I’m going to pick the Saints for the win.

Ravens (4-2) @ Seahawks (5-1) [4:25pm FOX].
I’m picking the Seahawks for the win. It’s hard to go against the 12th man.

Eagles (3-3) @ Cowboys (3-3) [8:20pm NBC]
I’d like this game to end in a tie. That’s not very likely though. I guess I’ll pick the Cowboys for the win.

Monday, October 21st

Patriots (6-0) @ Jets (1-4) [8:15pm ESPN]
As much as I’d like the Jets to win, and I’ll be rooting for them for sure, I’m picking the Pats to win this game.

BYE: Browns, Steelers, Buccaneers, Panthers

The Shenoa Report wk 6 '19 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 10, 2019
Regular Season Week 6

Cancer sucks. We have all been personally affected by that horrible word. In the month of October, while watching the NFL you used to see a lot of pink on the uniforms. This was to show support, awareness, and the fight for breast cancer, research, those lost, and survivors. Recently, the NFL decided to include other types of cancer awareness by launching an app to help with early detection. This is called the Crucial Catch. Since 2009, the first year of the NFL's Crucial Catch campaign, the NFL’s work has raised more than $18.5 million for the American Cancer Society. When you buy anything with the Crucial Catch logo on it from the NFL shop proceeds go towards cancer research. The NFL does not retain any profits generated by royalties received due to the sale of Crucial Catch products. All dollars are donated to the American Cancer Society. Cancer sucks. Please, get yourself checked out, early detection saves lives.

Week five was also not a good week for my picks, I went 7-8 again. This is not acceptable. I will do better in week 6. I did get the Thursday night game right though so I’m now 1-4 on Thursday night… I am 3-2 in my fantasy league. The Patriots and 49ers are the only undefeated teams left going into week 6 and the Jets, Bengals, Redskins, and Dolphins still haven’t gotten a win.

Here is the recap for week five.

Rams @ Seahawks 29-30
This game came down to a field goal with 11 seconds left in the game for the Rams to win, and then kicker Greg Zuerlein missed and the Seahawks won the game. And I finally got a Thursday night pick correct.

Cardinals @ Bengals 26-23
The Cardinals finally got their first win of the season. This game also came down to a last minute field goal to win the game and the Cardinals kicker Zane Gonzalez nailed it.

Bills @ Titans 14-7
The Bills overcame injury, with a great defense and got the win over the Titans. I know it surprised me too.

Bears @ Raiders 21-24
I think the Bears missed their flight across the pond. They looked pathetic and made the Raiders look good.

Buccaneers @ Saints 24-31
Teddy Bridgewater is 3-0 as the starting quarterback while Drew Brees is out. I just wish he would hand off more balls to Kamara. The Saints won in an almost too close for comfort fashion.

Jets @ Eagles 6-31
The Eagles defense came out big time over the Jets in this rout on Sunday afternoon. This is one of the picks I actually got right this weekend.

Vikings @ NY Giants 28-10
I knew I shouldn't have picked the Giants to win this game. They looked abysmal and made the Vikings look fantastic. It was hard to watch so, for once, I was glad that I was working and missed the majority of the game.

Ravens @ Steelers 26-23 OT
I went back and forth on this pick and I’m glad I settled with the Ravens. It took overtime for them to win the game, but that did it and that’s all that matters.

Patriots @ Redskins 33-7
The Redskins are now 0-5 and they have fired head coach Jay Gruden because of it. It is definitely not a good time to be a Redskins fan.

Jaguars @ Panthers 27-34
With Jalen Ramsey out with a “back injury” the Jags have struggled on defense, that means my fantasy team has also struggled, but the Panthers were able to pull out a win.

Falcons @ Texans 32-53
The Texans went off against the Falcons. Watson had 5 touchdown passes, 3 of which went to Will Fuller, who had 55 points on my bench in my fantasy league. I lost to my bosses boss… It wasn’t a good week for fantasy but it was a great week if you are a Houston fan.

Broncos @ Chargers 20-13
Melvin Gordon did not help the Chargers and the Broncos got their first win of the season.

Packers @ Cowboys 34-24
The Cowboys have now dropped 2 games in a row. Aaron Rodgers didn’t throw any touchdown passes and that hurt my fantasy team. The Cowboys were down by so much Dak Presscott had to start throwing the ball to catch up, and guess who had Prescott on their fantasy team… my bosses boss.

Colts @ Chiefs 19-13
This was the most shocking loss of the week on my opinion. The Colts completely shut down the Chiefs allowing only one touchdown for the Chiefs usually high scoring offense.

Browns @ 49ers 3-31
I was pretty sour coming into this game knowing that in order to win fantasy Chubb had to score about 40 points, which, based on last week, wasn’t out of the question. Then the 49ers defense showed up and showed up big. You can see the final score… I, for one, am glad week 5 is over.

WEEK 6

Thursday October 10th

NY Giants (2-3) @ Patriots (5-0) [8:20pm FOX/NFLN]
Well, because it’s not the Super Bowl, and Eli isn’t starting, and Saquan Barkley (RB), Evan Engram (TE), Sterling Shepard (WR), Wayne Gallman (RB) are all out with injuries, I’m picking the Patriots to win. It would take a football miracle for the Giants to win. They’ve done it before but let’s be realistic. Go GMEN!

Sunday October 13th

Panthers (3-2) @ Buccaneers (2-3) [9:30am NFLN]
Set your coffee pots and get the pancakes ready for the morning game! The Panthers and Bucs are the next to take a trip across the pond. This game will be held in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Games in London usually go a little wonky with the team least expected to win surprising everyone. Therefore, I’m going to pick the Bucs to win this game.

Seahawks (4-1) @ Browns (2-3) [1pm FOX]
As much as I’d like to see the Browns succeed, ahem Chubb, I’m picking the Seahawks to win. I have the Browns defense and the Jags defense in fantasy. I think I need a new defense.

Texans (3-2) @ Chiefs (4-1) [1pm CBS]
I’d like to think that the Chiefs will bounce back from their humiliating loss over the Colts last week, but the Texans are flying high after their rout over the Falcons. I’m going to pick the Chiefs to win, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Texans upset them at home.

Redskins (0-5) @ Dolphins (0-4) [1pm FOX]
Someone might actually win this game. It’ll probably end in a tie. The Redskins have a new interim coach and the Dolphins are just trying their best. Who will win? I’m picking the Redskins.

Eagles (3-2) @ Vikings (3-2) [1pm FOX]
The way the Vikings handled the Giants last week I think that I’m going to have to pick them this week. The Eagles are 1-1 on the road and the Vikings are 2-0 at home.

Saints (4-1) @ Jaguars (2-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Saints to win this game. Until Jalen Ramsey is back I don’t think the Jags defense can make a difference in the game.

Bengals (0-5) @ Ravens (3-2) [1pm CBS]
I’m predicting that the Bengals will go 0-6.

49ers (4-0) @ Rams (3-2) [4:05pm FOX]
Is this the game that the Rams finally get back on track or do the 49ers stay perfect? It’s a toss up. My heart says go with the Rams. My head says go with the 49ers. I’m going with my head, 49ers for the win.

Falcons (1-4) @ Cardinals (1-3-1) [4:05pm FOX]
The Falcons are 0-4 on the road and the Cardinals have at least tied at home. I’m picking the Cardinals for the win.

Titans (2-3) @ Broncos (1-4) [4:25pm CBS]
The Titans have won 2 on the road while the Broncos have yet to win at home. I’m picking the Titans to win this game.

Cowboys (3-2) @ Jets (0-4) [4:25pm CBS]
The Cowboys have dropped 2 in a row and as much as I would like this streak to continue, I think that they will snap it this game. Even though Sam Darnold is supposed to start for the first time since the beginning of the season for the Jets.

Steelers (1-4) @ Chargers (2-3) [8:20pm NBC]
I’m picking the Chargers for the win. I hope I’m right.

Monday October 14th

Lions (2-1-1) @ Packers (4-1) [8:15pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Packers over the Lions. Sorry Dean!
