Regular Season Week 16
My birthday weekend was amazing! I went 12-4 on my picks (beating all of the NFL Insiders) and the Giants actually won with Eli Manning starting! It was a birthday miracle. Now we are into week 16 which brings zero Thursday night games, three Saturday games, a bunch of Sunday games, and one Monday night game. All of Saturday’s games are on the NFL Network. If you don’t have that channel and you would like to watch the game, you could go to a bar or restaurant that has the games or a quick Google search will show you how to watch the game not so legally. All that said GO BILLS!
Here is the recap for week fifteen.
Jets @ Ravens 21-42
The Ravens did indeed win this game and Lamar Jackson broke Michael Vick’s single season QB rushing record. Vick’s record was through 16 games and Jackson took over the record in just 13 games. The talking heads are saying that Lamar already is the MVP of the season.
Patriots @ Bengals 34-13The Bengals led this game for a short period of time and it was the best time of the game, in my opinion. The Patriots must have reviewed the recordings from the previous week and soon corrected whatever it was they were doing wrong to “win” the game.
Buccaneers @ Lions 38-17Jamis Winston went off against the Lions, and the Lions continued to be the pathetic team they’ve been all season.
Buccaneers @ Lions 38-17Jamis Winston went off against the Lions, and the Lions continued to be the pathetic team they’ve been all season.
Bears @ Packers 13-21The Packers were able to pull off this win even though they didn’t look super stellar. That seems to be the case for them throughout the season. But, they do sit at 11-3 after this win so they must be doing something right.
Texans @ Titans 24-21I shouldn’t have been so shocked that the Texans won this game, but I was. I thought that the Titans had the better team. I also thought that the 49ers would beat the Falcons, what do I know?
Dolphins @ NY Giants 20-36I’m not crying, you’re crying. That’s how I felt at the end of this game when Eli Manning got a standing ovation as he walked off the field. Even though he had 3 interceptions he still lead his team to victory with two touchdown passes. It may very well be his last home game in a Giants uniform, and for that this win was bittersweet. His overall record is now 117-117.
Broncos @ Chiefs 3-23This was the snow bowl game of the season so far. The Broncos, who rely heavily on their run game, were not able to run in the snow and their passing game wasn’t that much better. The Chiefs, on the other hand, didn’t seem to have as much of a problem with Patrick Mahomes throwing for 2 touchdown passes and 340 yards on the day.
Eagles @ Redskins 37-27I really thought that the Redskins were going to pull off a win, but with less than a minute to play in the game the Eagles, led by Carson Wentz, marched down the field and scored a touchdown. They then gave the ball back with 26 seconds left in the game, Dwayne Haskins fumbled the ball, the Eagles defense recovered it, and ran it in for another touchdown. Ouch.
Seahawks @ Panthers 30-24Seattle bounced back from the prior week’s loss to beat the less than mediocre Panthers. The Panthers put up a fight in the last quarter by scoring 2 touchdowns but they needed another in order to win the game.
Jaguars @ Raiders 20-16I picked the Raiders to win this game because, “I think the Jags are done for the season.” Apparently I was wrong. Gardner Minshew had 2 touchdown passes in the last 5 minutes of the game to put the Jags over the Raiders. Better late than never I guess is the Jags motto.
Browns @ Cardinals 24-38I’m a little embarrassed that before this season started I picked the Browns to go to the Super Bowl. This time they got blown out by a 3-9-1 team… The Browns have a lot of problems and it seems that none of them are going to be resolved unless they let head coach Freddy Kitchens go.
Vikings @ Chargers 39-10The Chargers had 7 turnovers in this game. Shocking? No. The Vikings rolled the Chargers in this embarrassing game. Having 3 Chargers players on my fantasy team, I’m sure glad the season is over.
Texans @ Titans 24-21I shouldn’t have been so shocked that the Texans won this game, but I was. I thought that the Titans had the better team. I also thought that the 49ers would beat the Falcons, what do I know?

Rams @ Cowboys 21-44Speaking of rolling a team… The Cowboys probably had the best game of their season against the Rams. It started out a little rough for Dak Prescott when he called the coin toss and the ref didn’t hear him clearly and gave the decision to the Rams. But that was the toughest part of the game for the Cowboys.
Falcons @ 49ers 29-22This game came down to the last play of the game. The 49ers thought they had won the game after the defense had stopped a touchdown go ahead score just short of the goal line. Time had expired and 49ers started walking off the field with a win. But then, after further review it showed that Julio Jones had crossed the goal line and it was in fact, a touchdown. It’s safe to say that everyone was stunned to see that the Falcons beat the 49ers.
Bills @ Steelers 17-10The Bills have secured a spot in the playoffs with this win over the Steelers. There was no score going into the second quarter of this game. The Bills defense held the Steelers to only a field goal heading into half time. The Bills then shut out the Steelers in the fourth quarter while scoring 10 points to secure the win.

Colts @ Saints 7-34Drew Brees first broke, then set the all-time touchdown passing record in this rout over the Colts. Brees had four touchdown passes in this game alone. He also had a damn near perfect QB passer rating.
WEEK 16
Saturday, December 21st
Texans (9-5) @ Buccaneers (7-7) [1pm NFLN]The Texans can clinch the AFC South title with a win over the Bucs today. The Bucs have already been eliminated from the post season so they are going to try to play the spoiler card today. I’m going to pick the Texans to win this game.
Bills (10-4) @ Patriots (11-3) [4:30pm NFLN]I want the Bills to win this game, I will be rooting for the Bills as well. The Patriots have only lost one home game in the past two seasons. I will be shocked, amazed, and happy if they lose to the Bills today. I’m picking the Pats to win this game, and hope I’m wrong. GO BILLS!
Rams (8-6) @ 49ers (11-3) [8:15pm NFLN]Both teams are coming off losses and I think it’ll be the 49ers who bounce back for the win.
Sunday, December 22nd
Ravens (12-2) @ Browns (6-8) [1pm CBS]I’m picking the Ravens to win.
Jaguars (5-9) @ Falcons (5-9) [1pm FOX]Both teams have already been eliminated from the postseason. This game is just for pride. I’m picking the Falcons for the win.
Saints (8-6) @ Titans (8-6) [1pm FOX]The Titans have not been eliminated yet and a win could improve their chances… That being said, I’m picking the Saints to win this game.
Panthers (5-9) @ Colts (6-7) [1pm FOX]These teams have also been eliminated from the post season already. I’m picking the Colts to win, only because they are the home team.
Bengals (1-13) @ Dolphins (3-11) [1pm CBS] This is another game with no playoff implications. Heck, if you combine these two team’s records they only have 4 wins… I’m picking the Dolphins to win this game but if the Bengals win I wouldn’t be surprised.
Steelers (8-6) @ Jets (5-9) [1pm CBS]Le’Veon Bell will be playing against his former team, which will make this game a little bit more interesting. I’d love to see the Jets win this game, and I’ll be rooting for them too, but I’m picking the Steelers to win this game.
NY Giants (3-11) @ Redskins (3-11) [1pm FOX]This is a division rival with no playoff implications. At this point these teams are only playing for pride. I was hoping that the Giants would start Eli one more time in hopes that he could end his career with a winning record but it’s been said that Danny Jones will be starting this game. If Eli was starting this game I would pick the Giants for the win. Obviously I’ll be rooting for the Gmen, and I guess, because they won last week, I’ll pick them to win again this week.
Lions (3-10-1) @ Broncos (5-8) [4:05pm CBS]No playoff implications in this game. I’m picking the Broncos for the win.
Raiders (6-8) @ Chargers (5-9) [4:05pm CBS]The Raiders have not been eliminated yet, shockingly. Not so surprising, the Chargers have. The Raiders have only one road win this season, but they need this win to stay “alive”. I’m going to pick the Raiders to win but I wouldn’t be surprised if I was wrong.
Cowboys (7-7) @ Eagles (7-7) [4:25pm FOX] I’m picking the Cowboys for the win, though I’d love for this game to end in a tie.
Cardinals (4-9-1) @ Seahawks (11-3) [4:25pm FOX]I’m picking the Seahawks to win this game, they are now playing for a first round bye and home field advantage.
Chiefs (10-4) @ Bears (7-7) [8:20pm NBC]The Bears have been eliminated from the playoffs and I’m sure they are going to try to upset the Chiefs. I’m still going to pick the Chiefs to win this game.
Monday, December 23rd
Packers (11-3) @ Vikings (10-4) [8:15pm ESPN]This is another division rival. The Packers have already clinched, the Vikings have not. The Vikings need this win more. I don’t think they are going to get it. I’m picking the Packers to win this game.
