Regular Season Week 16

Happy Holidays! I hope you’ve been able to spend time with loved ones whether it be friends, family, or both! I’m in NY with my parents, though it has felt like NC weather, 65 degrees in December, I’ll take it. I went 8-8 on my picks last week, watched another heartbreaking loss presented by the Giants (more on that later), and the Carolina Panthers are still undefeated. I’m sorry I didn’t get this report out on Thursday, I don’t have a good excuse other than I was having more fun with my family. Merry Christmas.

 Lets recap week fifteen.

Buccaneers @ Rams 23-31
This was most likely the Rams last home game in that stadium… so at least they got the win.

Jets @ Cowboys 19-16
Thanks NY with that win the Cowboys will be watching the playoffs from their couches!

Bears @ Vikings 17-38
I mean did you really think the Bears had a chance?

Chiefs @ Ravens 34-14
Poor Ravens fans…

Panthers @ Giants 38-35
Where do I start? I knit an entire scarf during this game. My mom lovingly called it my Giants frustration scarf. The Panthers got a wake up call. I had counted on the Panthers winning this game all along but damnit if the Giants didn’t make it…well exciting to watch and fill the Giants fans with that false hope once again. As a diehard Giants fan I would like to let everyone know that at one point of the game I was screaming at the tv to take OBJ out of the game. I couldn’t believe the refs were not calling penalties on both OBJ and Norman and that they let it escalate to a dangerous level. I was surprised that Tom Coughlan didn’t sit OBJ and I too was dumbfounded that both Beckham and Norman weren’t ejected from the game. I am not saying what OBJ did was ok, because it absolutely was not, BUT I can’t fault him for his passion and love for the game. He’s truly still a kid in the league and it’s going to take a couple of seasons to grow him up, this was evident on the field and sidelines. He will be a leader someday and that’s the kind of leader I want for my team. He already has the passion, love, and talent, now he just needs a good head on his shoulders.  The kid lost his shit and because of it he’s been suspended and will not play in the next game. Regardless, it was still a hell of a game and I’m proud of my Gmen for making that epic comeback … another game we should have won. I’ll leave you with this… 2007: Giants face undefeated Patriots, lose 38-35
2011: Giants face undefeated Packers, lose 38-35
2015: Giants face undefeated Panthers, lose 38-35...
PS There is an 8% chance that the NY Football Giants will make the post season… so you’re telling me there’s a chance.

Bills @ Redskins 25-35
The Bills let their fans down and Giants fans too. Damnit. But, my wise mom put it into perspective for me.  She simply asked when the last time the Bills made the playoffs… 16 seasons ago. Thanks for the perspective Mom. Sorry Bills fans.

Falcons @ Jaguars 23-17
Well the Falcons broke their 6 game losing streak...

Texans @ Colts 16-10
The Texans have taken the AFC South with this win over the Colts.

Titans @ Patriots 16-33
 Blah, blah, blah Patriots win.

Browns @ Seahawks 13-30
We’ll see the Seahawks in the post season as they have clinched a playoff berth with this win.

Packers @ Raiders 30-20
The Packers made it to the post season even before they won this game because the Giants lost… you’re welcome Packers fans.

Bengals @ 49ers 24-14
Not a shocking outcome.

Dolphins @ Chargers 14-30
This may also be the Chargers last game in their stadium; we’ll just have to see who’s moving to LA. What a great win for San Diego.

Broncos @ Steelers 27-34
Basically the Broncos forgot to show up for the second half of this game giving the win to the Steelers… SMH

Cardinals @ Eagles 40-17
Thanks for humiliating Philly Arizona. Well played.

Lions @ Saints 35-27
Just another game for those with no hopes for the playoffs…

I picked the Raiders to win and I was right.

 I’ll take the Lions.

Steelers (9-5) @ Ravens (4-10) [1:00pm CBS]

Rams (6-8) @ Seahawks (9-5) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m picking the Seahawks.

NY Giants (6-8)  @ Vikings (9-5)[8:30pm NBC]
I got an OBJ jersey for Christmas so I’ll wear his jersey Sunday because he won’t be able to. I’m still picking the Giants for the win because they do better when their backs are against the wall.

Monday, December 28th

Bengals (11-3) @ Broncos (10-4) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Broncos for the win!

Regular Season Week 15

THE NY FOOTBALL GIANTS ACTUALLY WON A GAME, it was a birthday miracle!!!!!!!! I went 9-7 on my picks, lost in both fantasy leagues, not even making it to the playoffs, BUT the Giants won, so I’m stoked. The Panthers are still undefeated, clinching a first round bye in the playoffs with their 13th win of the season. There are only 3 weeks left in the regular season (counting this week), the end is near for some.  Week 15 should be exciting, being that there are games on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday!  But before we get to week 15 let’s recap week fourteen.

Vikings @ Cardinals 20-23
Arizona clinched a playoff berth with this win. It seems year after year Arizona just slips through the cracks when it comes to media attention. It’s probably a blessing in disguise.

Bills @ Eagles 20-23
I was very disappointed with the outcome of this game. Apparently the Bills didn’t get the memo that it was my birthday and I needed them to win.

Seahawks @ Ravens 35-6
The Seahawks are looking GOOD, either that or the Ravens are looking really, really BAD.

49ers @ Browns 10-24
Manziel is such a tool. There I said it. But, he got the Browns a win. It’ll be interesting to see what happens the next time he screws up, being that he’s already been punished a handful of times, but because he just gets a slap on the wrist he keeps acting like a jackass. I am truly sorry for all the Browns fans.

Lions @ Rams 14-21
I guess you never know what team you are going to get when you play the Lions. The Rams were lucky enough to get the Lions from early in the season. They snapped a five game losing streak with this win.

Titans @ Jets 8-30
The Titans are in a tight race for first pick in the 2016 draft, the Jets on the other hand actually have great playoff hopes.

Steelers @ Bengals 35-6
The Ginger threw an interception which was bad enough but then he broke his thumb making a tackle to save a pick six. With Andy Dalton out the Bengals playoff hopes are severely diminished. I guess it’s good news for Steelers fans…

Colts @ Jaguars 16-51
Wait, what?!?! Blake Bortles is on the up and coming, I would say, and the Colts are on the down and out… PS Luck is probably out for the rest of the season. Pun intended.

Chargers @ Chiefs 3-10
I thought this would have been a blowout , the Chiefs have now won 7 in a row… not too shabby.

Redskins @ Bears 24-21
The Bears also didn’t get the memo that it was my birthday and I needed them to win. So disappointing…

Falcons @ Panthers 0-38
SHUT OUT!!!!!! And to think some thought this would be a trap game… hahahaha. With this win the Panthers not only clinched the playoffs but also a first round bye.

Saints @ Buccaneers 24-17
The Saints seem to be life ruiners, they aren’t going to make the playoffs by any means, so now they are just trying to upset those who could.

Raiders @ Broncos 15-12
This game was a shocker! Osweiler finally got his first loss for the Broncos and guess what Peyton has start to practice again...

Cowboys @ Packers 7-28
The Packers got my birthday memo. Thanks Green Bay, I enjoyed watching this game while decorating our Christmas tree.

Patriots @ Texans 27-6
Surprise, surprise the Patriots clinch a playoff spot with this win.

Giants @ Dolphins 31-24
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eli had the best game of his career having as many touchdowns as incompletions, 4. Odell Beckham Jr. had two touchdowns as well as unbelievable catches. He actually used two hands to catch a ball this game.  We are still in a three-way-tie for first place in the NFC East, and that’s the best we can expect, I suppose. Thanks for the late birthday present Gmen.

WEEK 15

Thursday December 17th

Buccaneers (6-7) @ Rams (5-8) [8:25pm NFLN]
I’m taking the Bucs.

Saturday December 19th

Jets (8-5) @ Cowboys (4-9) [8:25pm NFLN]
I’m picking the Jets. YAY FOR SATURDAY FOOTBALL!

Sunday December 20th

Bears (5-8) @ Vikings (8-5) [1:00pm FOX]
 I’m picking the Vikings.

Chiefs (8-5) @ Ravens (4-9) [1:00pm CBS]
I’ll take the Chiefs.

Panthers (13-0) @ Giants (6-7) [1:00pm FOX]
Ok Panthers fans, love you guys, but I’m calling a trap game. Why? Because NO ONE expects the Giants to win, me included. But on any given day…  I’m taking the Giants… crazy I know. It’s a playoff game for us, you guys could sit all your starters knowing you have a first round bye in the playoffs. I mean, I’d protect those players. You don’t want JPP to get hot and wreck your starters.  I’ll probably be wrong but… like I said… on any given day.

Bills (6-7) @ Redskins (6-7)  [1:00pm FOX]
Dear Bills, don’t let me down two weeks in a row… I’m picking Buffalo for the win.

Falcons (6-7) @ Jaguars (5-8) [1:00pm FOX]
I’m picking the Jags for the win.

Texans (6-7) @ Colts (6-7) [1pm CBS]
It doesn’t look good for the Colts, it also doesn’t look good for the Texans either. I’ll take home field advantage.

Titans (3-10) @ Patriots (11-2) [1:00pm CBS]
 I’m picking the Patriots.

Browns (3-10) @ Seahawks (8-5) [4:05pm FOX]
I’ll take the Seahawks over the Browns.

Packers (9-4) @ Raiders (6-7) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m picking the Packers.

Bengals (10-3) @ 49ers (4-9) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m still taking the Bengals even with the Ginger out.

Dolphins (5-8) @ Chargers (3-10) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking the Dolphins even though neither team has any chance at making the playoffs.

Broncos (10-3) @ Steelers (8-5) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m hoping the Broncos bounce back. I’m picking Denver for the win, mainly because I hate picking the Steelers.

Cardinals (11-2)  @ Eagles (6-7)[8:30pm NBC]
I’m picking the Cardinals for the win. Please don’t let me down.

Monday, December 21st

Lions (4-9) @ Saints (5-8) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Saints…

The Shenoa Report
December 12, 2015
Regular Season Week 14

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! It’s my birthday weekend and I’m pretty excited. Maybe for my birthday, the Giants will get a win…. At this point we would probably have to call it “a birthday miracle”. Week 13 was NOT what I had expected, and even though I’ve waited longer than usual to post this report the pain of the Giants loss still runs deep. The Panthers are still undefeated, the Patriots have dropped two in a row, and I actually rooted for the Cowboys and was extremely happy that they won. I didn’t do too bad on my picks (12-4) and I won in one of my leagues, so it wasn’t a complete wash. The Giants are in a three-way-tie for first place in their division, at an abysmal 5-7 record.  I’m looking forward to week 14, mainly because my birthday is Sunday and the Giants play on Monday SO they can’t loose ON my birthday… probably the day after… anyway…

Let’s recap week thirteen.

Packers @ Lions 27-23
Don’t ask my dad about this game, he still gets a little heated talking about it. Apparently there was a facemask penalty that wasn’t a penalty in his opinion, which set up an Aaron Rodgers Hail Mary to win the game. Personally I was more impressed with the perfectly thrown Hail Mary…

Jets @ NY Giants 23-20 OT
I was in PA with some friends for a holiday party and watched this game at their house… it started out great, as games usually do. I was able to explain the game to my friends because I was really the only football fan, and they humored me and even asked questions.  I was able to teach them the term “choke” as it pertains to the Giants…. And that’s all I have to say about that.

Cardinals @ Rams 27-3
Easy win.

Falcons @ Buccaneers 19-23
This is the Falcons 5 loss in a row… Bucs on the other hand are on the up and up.

Seahawks @ Vikings 38-7
This win shocked me. Seattle is getting hot at just the right time of year.

49ers @ Bears 26-20 OT
The 49ers got their fourth win of the season, there is a joke in there somewhere.

Jaguars @ Titans 39-42
I was really excited for my cousin Abby, as she is a Titans fan and her season has been far worse than mine.

Texans @ Bills 21-30
At least the Bills won. On our ride back from PA my friend asked if I would ever choose another team because the Giants are so terrible.  I said I’ve kinda picked up the Bills but apparently I wasn’t too convincing.  The Giants will always be MY team.

Ravens @ Dolphins 13-15
I thought this would be more of a blowout win, I guess not.

Bengals @ Browns 37-3
Poor Brownies.

Chiefs @ Raiders 34-20
The Chiefs looked good, the Raiders, not so much.

Broncos @ Chargers 17-3
Brock Osweiler has won 3 in a row for the Broncos while Peyton continues to sit on the bench and heal.

Eagles @ Patriots 35-28
THE ONE TIME I ACTUALLY WANTED A PATRIOTS WIN…. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Panthers @ Saints 41-38
It was nice to see the Panthers fight for a win. I’m glad they got the W. I’m also glad that I didn’t have to watch this game with Panthers fans… it would be like getting a taste of my own medicine I’m sure.
Sometimes I look at the Saints record, which is 4-8, and I think to myself, well at least the Saints have a worse record than the Giants…. And then I remember, that New Orleans beat the Giants…. SMH.  Coincidently, The Cowboys also have a worse record than the Giants and they also beat the Giants.

Colts @ Steelers 10-45
Blah blah blah Big Ben is back.

Cowboys @ Redskins 19-16
Dear Cowboys, thanks for beating the Redskins, love Giants fans everywhere.

WEEK 14

Thursday December 10th

Vikings (8-4) @ Cardinals (10-2) [8:25pm NFLN]
So, Thursday I got really sick and wasn’t able to post this report. I did make sure to pick this game though, I picked the Cardinals over the Redskins… yeah, it doesn’t make sense, that’s how delusional I was. Clearly I meant the Cardinals over the Vikings, which is what happened.

Sunday December 13th

Bills (6-6) @ Eagles (5-7) [1:00pm CBS]
I’m taking the Bills over the Eagles, mainly because I can’t pick the Eagles, I just don’t have it in me.

Seahawks (7-5) @ Ravens (4-8) [1:00pm FOX]
I’m picking the Seahawks.

49ers (4-8) @ Browns (2-10) [1:00pm FOX]
Johnny Football is once again starting for the Browns so I think I’ll pick them for the win.

Lions (4-8) @ Rams (4-8) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Lions.

Titans (3-9) @ Jets (7-5)  [1pm CBS]
I’m going to have to take the Jets over the Titans, sorry Abby.

Steelers (7-5) @ Bengals (10-2) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bengals.

Colts (6-6) @ Jaguars (4-8) [1pm CBS]
 I’m picking the Colts.

Chargers (3-9) @ Chiefs (7-5) [1pm CBS]
 I’m taking the Chiefs.

Redskins (5-7) @ Bears (5-7) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Bears, because like the Eagles I can’t pick the Redskins.

Falcons (6-6) @ Panthers (12-0) [pm FOX]
 I’m taking the Panthers.

Saints (4-8) @ Buccaneers (6-6) [1:00pm FOX]
I’m picking the Bucs… I bet it’ll be a high scoring game.

Raiders (5-7) @ Broncos (10-2) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m picking the Broncos.

Cowboys (4-8) @ Packers (8-4) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m picking the Packers.

Patriots (10-2)  @ Texans (6-6)[8:30pm NBC]
I’d like to pick the Texans but I’m going with the Patriots.

Monday, December 14th

Giants (5-7) @ Dolphins (5-7) [8:30pm ESPN]
Picking against the Giants doesn’t work for them getting a win so I’m going to go back to picking the Giants for the win… I’m delusional. Maybe they’ll win and I’ll get a late birthday present.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 13 '15

The Shenoa Report
December 3, 2015
Regular Season Week 13

Well, I’ve waited to the very last minute to write and post my report. It’s been such a busy week that I didn’t allow myself the time I normally do to work on it. So, if this weeks report is lacking, I apologize. We are now down to one undefeated team in the NFL and it’s NOT the Patriots! Congrats Carolina, keep pounding! I didn’t do too bad on my picks (11-5), I won in one of my leagues, and the Giants lost so it wasn’t a great week, but it was nice seeing a backup QB hand the Patriots their first loss of the season.  I’m looking forward to week 13, mainly because it’s my favorite # and has always been lucky for me, hopefully that luck extends to the Giants for the rest of the season… but first…

Let’s recap week twelve.

Eagles @ Lions 14-45
This made Thanksgiving pretty much amazing for my family, well at least for my dad and me. The Lions couldn’t have done a better job at making the Eagles look terrible. At one point in the broadcast Joe Buck said, “there is no other way to put this, the Eagles are just bad” and then later in the broadcast he said “A penalty for taking off his helmet? I would think he would want to keep it on, and not show his face on national television. It’s embarrassing.” This may be the only time I have ever and will ever agree with Joe Buck. Needless to say, he had my dad and I almost in tears from laughing so much. Well done Lions! Well done!

Panthers @ Cowboys 33-14
Yeah, that happened. Tony Romo was not the savior that Dallas had hoped for, and broke his left clavicle again for the second time this season. I refer to him as Tony OHNO now.

Bears @ Packers 17-13
I don’t know what is up with the Packers. It was heart breaking to watch the last seconds of this game. I really thought that the Packers were going to pull out the win.

Rams @ Bengals 7-31
This shouldn’t shock anyone. Really.

Raiders @ Titans 24-21
The Raiders are getting it done this season, the Titans are going to wait till next season to get things done.

NY Giants @ Redskins 14-20
I’m still not ready to talk about this game…

Vikings @ Falcons 20-10
Adrian Peterson is a beast and that’s why the Vikings are so good this year. And that pretty much sums up this game.

Bills @ Chiefs 22-30
Usually if the Giants lose at least the Bills win so I can still feel a little bit ok about my NY teams… not this time. Heartbreaking all around.

Saints @ Texans 6-24
It’s easy to score when the other team doesn’t have a defense… but good for the Texans.

Buccaneers @ Colts12-25
The old guys get it done!!!!!! You stay classy Indi.

Dolphins @ Jets 20-38
Ok, so one NY team did win, and that was exciting… but it’s the Jets… and that’s not so exciting. At least Fitzpatrick and Decker are on my fantasy team and got me a win.

Chargers @ Jaguars 31-25
I really thought that the Jags were going to win this game. Look at the Chargers pulling an upset.

Cardinals @ 49ers 19-13
I’m glad that the Cardinals won, but I really thought this would have been a blowout.

Steelers @ Seahawks 30-39
YEAH SEAHAWKS!!!!!!! That is all.

Patriots @ Broncos 24-30 OT
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! It’s a little bit funny when your neighbor is a Patriots fan and he’s talking smack via yelling across the back yard. And what was that Marvin? Do you remember what I said? I’ll refresh your memory, “You’ll get your first loss of the season. In Denver. To a BACK UP QUARTERBACK! I’m calling it!!!” I believe he said “NO, NO, NO, NO, NO. HAHAHAHAHAHA. YOU’RE CRAZY. GO PATS.” Yup. That happened. I thought about sending him flowers after his loss, but I figured he’d just re-gift it and send it right back to me, I would have said touché.

Ravens @ Browns 33-27
The Browns thought they had this game all sealed up until Will Hill returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown as time expired to win the game.

WEEK 13

Thursday December 3rd

Packers (7-4) @ Lions (4-7) [8:25pm CBS NFLN]
I’m taking the Packers. My dad is taking the Lions because he thinks they are going to sweep Green Bay for the first time in practically forever. We’ll see.

Sunday December 6th

Jets (6-5) @ NY Giants (5-6) [1:00pm CBS]
I’m STILL not over the Giants loss… I’m picking the Jets just to spite them. Prove me wrong Giants. Prove me wrong. GO GMEN!!!!

Cardinals (9-2) @ Rams (4-7) [1:00pm FOX]
I’m picking the Cardinals.

Falcons (6-5) @ Buccaneers (5-6) [1:00pm FOX]
I’m picking the Bucs.

Seahawks (6-5) @ Vikings (8-3) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Vikings.

49ers (3-8) @ Bears (5-6)  [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Bears.

Jaguars (4-7) @ Titans (2-9) [1pm CBS]
Call me crazy, but I’m picking the Titans for the win.

Texans (6-5) @ Bills (5-6) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bills.

Ravens (4-7) @ Dolphins (4-7) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Dolphins, we’ll see if home field has its advantages.

Bengals (9-2) @ Browns (2-9) [1pm FOX]
I would love, love, LOVE to see the Browns win, but I’m picking the Bengals.

Chiefs (6-5) @ Raiders (5-6) [pm CBS]
I’m picking the Raiders for the win.

Broncos (9-2) @ Chargers (3-8) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m going with the Broncos

Eagles (4-7) @ Patriots (10-1) [4:25pm FOX]
For the first time this season I won’t be disappointed with the Pats win.

Panthers (11-0) @ Saints (4-7) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m taking the Panthers.

Colts (6-5)  @ Steelers (6-5)[8:30pm NBC]
I’m picking the Steelers but rooting for the Colts.

Monday, December 7th

Cowboys (3-8) @ Redskins (5-6) [8:30pm ESPN]
This will also probably be the only time I will be picking and rooting for the Cowboys….

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Mom!!!!!

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 12 '15 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
November 26, 2015
Regular Season Week 12

Happy Thanksgiving!!!! This is the first time in years that I am not traveling for my favorite holiday. I figure I’ve been out of state for the past two weekends so it was time to stay put for at least one weekend. Last weekend I flew down to NC and surprised my Charlotte friends. It was an amazing weekend but another weekend that I didn’t watch a good deal of football (I would have loved to see the Panthers beat up on the Redskins at home though!) We’re heading into week 12 and we still have 2 undefeated teams, New England, and Carolina.  I went 7-7 on my picks, the Giants didn’t lose AND I won in both fantasy leagues, week 11 was decent.

Let’s recap week eleven.

Titans @ Jaguars 13-19
How funny the AFC South is. They are just about as bad as the NFC East. This was a must win for both teams but the Jags got it and it’s safe to say that the Titans season is over. Sorry Tennessee fans.

Raiders @ Lions 13-18
The Lions have won 2 in a row now (that’s not a typo) but I think it’s a lot too late for this season.  But don’t give up hope, because hope gets you through the tough times. Before this becomes a hallmark card I’ll just stop and go to the next game…

Colts @ Falcons 24-21
The old guys won the game for the Colts, no I’m not talking about Brett Favre, he’s still retired, I’m talking about Adam Vinatieri, the 42-year-old kicker and Matt Hasselbeck 40-year-old backup QB. These guys are clutch. As far as I’m concerned keep Luck on the sideline where he can’t turn the ball over. (I’ll say the same thing for Peyton until he’s healthy) As for the Falcons, I knew the beginning of their winning season was a fluke.

Rams @ Ravens 13-16
The Ravens FINALLY get a win but lost QB Joe Flacco and RB Justin Forsett for the rest of the season due to season ending injuries. Sorry Ravens fans, there is always next year.

Buccaneers @ Eagles 45-17
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for doing the Giants a solid! Really, thank you. Thank you.

Broncos @ Bears 17-15
I’m glad the Broncos got the win, and I agree that Peyton shouldn’t play if injured, but all of this talk that Peyton is done and his career is over is just nonsense. So just stop.  Peyton is not done and he’s not going to be like Brett Favre; he just needs to get healthy again.

Jets @ Texans 17-24
The Texans have won 2 in a row and the Jets are playing like the Jets of yesteryear. I’d like to say I’m surprised, but I’m not. I did get to watch the end of this game as I was sitting in the Newark airport, but it seamed like every time I looked up Fitzpatrick threw an interception and that was frustrating being that I had started him this week in one of my fantasy teams.

Redskins @ Panthers 16-44
Cam threw a career high 5 TDs against the Redskins and it was glorious getting off the plane and checking the score and seeing the rout happening back in Charlotte. Good job Carolina, the Giants thank you, you made their bye week even better.

Cowboys  @ Dolphins 24-14
Romo is back and the Cowboys won a game, and people are freaking out everywhere saying they are the best team in the NFC East...  as Chris Berman says “C’MON MAN!”

Chiefs @ Chargers 33-3
Well, the Chargers have lost six straight now. It’s safe to say that their season is over. Better luck next year. As for the Chiefs, they’ve won 4 straight and have a wild card chance of making the playoffs.

Packers @ Vikings 30-13
Ditka took off the Packers vest and lookit! The Packers won! Coincidence? I think not. Go-Pack-Go. Way to bounce back!

49ers @ Seahawks 13-29
Even after putting Kaepernick on IR and starting Blaine Gabbert the 49ers still couldn’t get a win in Seattle. They even had help with Marshawn Lynch out for the Seahawks, but still couldn’t get it done. Not that I was shocked or anything.

Bengals @ Cardinals 31-34
I got home after a fun filled, sleep deprived weekend, and couldn’t even stay up for the pregame show for this game. Needless to say I didn’t watch this game but I was glad to have predicted the winner. Bengals drop 2 in a row. Rut-row.

Bills @ Patriots 13-20
This game was SO entertaining to watch.  I must say, if I had to pick a Tom Brady face to watch it would be his face during this game. The man was pouty McPouterson for the majority of the game.  If only the Bills could have come out with the win. Oh well Rex, you at least got the win in the Meadowlands against the Jets. As for the Pats, their first loss is coming. Just wait for it. It’s going to be… Legendary.

WEEK 12

Thursday November 26th

Eagles (4-6) @ Lions (3-7) [12:30pm FOX]
I know that it’s rare that the Lions win, especially on thanksgiving, but I’m picking them for the win and might even sport my Detroit Lions hat for added fun.

Panthers (10-0) @ Cowboys (3-7) [4:30pm CBS]
I shit you not, the Cowboys are favored to win this game (I wish this was a sick joke)… I’ll be rooting for and picking the Panthers to win this game. #keeppounding
I’ll do a wardrobe change and sport my Panthers t-shirt for this game.

Bears (4-6) @ Packers (7-3) [8:30pm NBC]
Keeping up with wardrobe changes maybe difficult, but I could find my Bears sweatshirt… nah, by that time I hope to be in a turkey/beer/hookah coma and just enjoy a good football game. I’m picking the Packers to win.

Sunday November 29th

Rams (4-6) @ Bengals (8-2) [1:00pm FOX]
I’m picking the Bengals I don’t think they’ll drop three in a row.

Raiders (4-6) @ Titans (2-8) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Raiders to win even though their starting QB looks about 17 years old.

NY Giants (5-5) @ Redskins (4-5)  [1pm FOX]
Dear Giants, you have two choices. You can win or you can WIN. These are your only choices. I’m picking the Giants to win.

Vikings (7-3) @ Falcons (6-4) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Vikings to win.

Bills (5-5) @ Chiefs (5-5) [1pm CBS]
The Bills could win this game and should win this game. I’ll take the Bills for the win.

Saints (4-6) @ Texans (5-5) [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Texans, who suddenly have decided they can play football.

Buccaneers (5-5) @ Colts (5-5) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the old guys.  Winston is the youngest QB in the league and Hasselbeck is the oldest.

Dolphins (4-6) @ Jets (5-5) [1pm CBS]
 I’m taking the Jets.

Chargers (2-8) @ Jaguars (4-6) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Jags…

Cardinals (8-2) @ 49ers (3-7) [4:05pm FOX]
 I’m going with Arizona

Steelers (6-4) @ Seahawks (5-5) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m taking the Seahawks even though they probably won’t win.

Patriots (10-0)  @ Broncos (8-2)[8:30pm NBC]
Even though Peyton is out and they are playing the Pats, and I always pick the Pats to win, I’m picking the Broncos… GET. IT DONE.

Monday, November 30th

Ravens (3-7) @ Browns (2-8) [8:30pm ESPN]
Johnny Football has been benched after partying again during the bye week. I’m not gonna lie, if I was making as much money as Manziel, I could put the beer down for the season. SMH.  I don’ t think this kid is ever going to learn. I’m still picking the Browns to win, which is saying something. Sorry Ravens fans.

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 11 '15

The Shenoa Report
November 19, 2015
Regular Season Week 11

We’re heading into week 11 and we’re down to 2 undefeated teams, New England, and Carolina. You know they say “On any given day, any given team can win” this will be my catch phrase for this past week. Out of all 14 games that were played only THREE home teams won. It’s safe to say that home field advantage wasn’t very present this time. Subsequently, I went 4-10 on my picks.
As I said last week, I was in Cleveland visiting my BFF so I think out of the 14 games played I watched the Bills/ Jets game and the last quarter of the Patriots/ Giants game, and after that game I was numb and didn’t care to watch anymore football.
I would like to thank my new friend Quentin for giving me score updates and good conversation on my long drive home from Cleveland (PS he’s also a Giants fan so I see good things for us in the future).
Peyton Manning broke another NFL record with most passing yards, previously held by Brett Favre, but then was benched after throwing 4 interceptions. As it turns out he hurt his foot…
Rob Ryan was fired after the Saints’ humiliating loss to the Redskins and Cam Newton’s dance after a touchdown has been a topic of conversation all week.  Bring back the celebration dances please!
Thankfully, the Giants can’t lose in week 11 (Thank God for the bye week) and they signed Hakeem Nicks back after Cruz went on IR (injure reserved)

Let’s recap week ten.

Bills @ Jets 22-17
Old Rex Ryan finally got a win in the Meadowlands!!! What an exciting game.  I laughed out loud when the Bills won, as it was amusing and funny watching Rex.

Lions @ Packers 18-16
Have you noticed the Packers haven’t won a game since Mike Ditka put on that Packers vest for the McDonalds commercial?  Crazy. When Quentin told me this score I didn’t believe him. I may have even called him a liar. Sorry man.

Cowboys @ Buccaneers 6-10
Thanks Bucs! The Giants really needed you to win! NFL

Panthers @ Titans 27-10
9-0 Guys! #keeppounding.

Bears @ Rams 37-13
Hey, well the Bears decided to show up! Sorry Bumblebees.

Saints @ Redskins 14-47
I mean, when you play a team that doesn’t have a defense you can throw a lot of TD passes. Kirk Cousins threw a career high 4 touchdowns against the Saints. Well done, Kirk or pathetic defense, Saints?

Dolphins @ Eagles 20-19
I’ve waited to say this pretty much allll season. Miami is ahead of your ami. Tehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe. Thanks Miami you really helped the Giants.

Browns @ Steelers 9-30
Big Ben was the backup and didn’t intend to play but had to come off the bench when their starter got hurt. No big deal. Sorry Brownies.

Jaguars @ Ravens 22-20
Usually I’d say, tough year to be a Jaguars fan; but now I’m saying, tough year to be a Ravens fan...

Vikings @ Raiders 30-14
The Vikings are at the top of the NFC North… Say whaaaaaaat?!

Patriots @ NY Giants 27-26
I only watched the 4th quarter of this game. And it brought me back to 8 years ago. Then, I knew we could beat the Pats and I had the same feeling this time. We didn’t do it in the regular season, but we did in the Super Bowl. Maybe we’ll have a repeat of a repeat of a repeat… this loss still stung, don’t get me wrong, but the season isn’t over and we are still at the top of the NFC East.

Chiefs @ Broncos 29-13
Poor Peyton.  That’s all I can say about this game.

Cardinals @ Seahawks 39-32
Crazy to think that the Seahawks were in the Super Bowl last year, cause they are definitely not the same team this year.

Texans @ Bengals 10-6
And another one bites the dust. The Texans handed the Bengals their first loss of the season. Oh yes, and JJ Watt picked on Andy Dalton after the game and Dalton didn’t take it gingerly.

WEEK 11

Thursday November 19th

Titans (2-7) @ Jaguars (3-6) [8:25pm NFLN]
I’m taking the Jags, and funny enough this game has playoff implications… (note their records)

Sunday November 22nd

Raiders (4-5) @ Lions (2-7) [1:00pm CBS]
I’m taking the Raiders even though the Lions beat the Packers last week.

Colts (4-5) @ Falcons (6-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m taking the Falcons.

Rams (4-5) @ Ravens (2-7)  [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Bumblebees.

Buccaneers (4-5) @ Eagles (4-5) [1pm FOX]
I’m going to pick the Eagles for the win in hopes that they lose.

Broncos (7-2) @ Bears (4-5) [1pm CBS]
Peyton isn’t playing so hopefully the Broncos defense can get this win. I’m picking the Broncos.

Jets (5-4) @ Texans (4-5) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Jets.

Redskins (4-5) @ Panthers (9-0) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Panthers! I really need this win boys!

Cowboys (2-7) @ Dolphins (4-5) [1pm FOX]
Romo is said to be back, sooooooo, I’m going to pick the Dolphins for the win.

Chiefs (4-5) @ Chargers (2-7) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m picking the Chiefs.

Packers (6-3) @ Vikings (7-2) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m picking the Vikings… as long as Ditka is wearing that vest…

49ers (3-6) @ Seahawks (4-5) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m going with the Seahawks.

Bengals (8-1)  @ Cardinals (7-2)[8:30pm NBC]
I’m taking the Cardinals.

Monday, November 23rd

Bills (5-4) @ Patriots (9-0) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Pats but hoping and praying the Bills win.

BYES: Browns, Steelers, Saints, NY Giants

The Shenoa Report
November 12, 2015
Regular Season Week 10

We’re heading into week 10 and we’re down to 3 undefeated teams, New England, Cincinnati, and Carolina. I was even more surprised to see Denver lose! I cried a little bit for Peyton.
I’m heading to Cleveland this weekend to visit my BFF !!!! So, I don’t know how much football I’ll get to watch but I’m really ok with that.

I went 8-5 on my picks, the Giants won, and I won in one of my leagues… I’ll take it.

Let’s recap week nine.

Browns @ Bengals 10-31
The Bengals continue to make history for their franchise every time they win. They’ve never been undefeated this far into the season.

Packers @ Panthers 29-37
Ok Panthers nation, I’m sorry. I really didn’t think that your team would beat the Packers. I mean, they have Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews for goodness sakes. But, they did, and I’m so proud that Charlotte finally has something to be very excited about! In years past you were the butt of a joke in the sports world, you were the Lions of Detroit. But now, you’ve made me a believer. Well done Carolina, well done.

Redskins @ Patriots 10-27
Pats win, blah blah blah. Nothing more to report.

Titans @ Saints 34-28 OT
The Titans get their second win of the season over the Saints! It kinda turns my stomach being that the Giants couldn’t get it done against them last week...

Dolphins @ Bills 17-33
The Bills have finally won another game, if I were a Bills fan I would’ve been getting worried. I was just thankful they aired this game and not the Pats game. Silver linings.

Rams @ Vikings 18-21 OT
The Vikings lost Bridgewater to a concussion but still powered through to beat the Rams in overtime.

Jaguars @ Jets 23-28
The Jets are winning again even with an injured QB. Fitzpatrick is still playing with a torn ligament in his left thumb. Sounds pretty minor but if you can’t grip a football it’s pretty major. HEY! I’ve got an idea, he could just call up Patriots personal and he could get a less inflated football so he can grip it better...

Raiders @ Steelers 35-38
I thought that the Raiders might actually pull this one off. Sadly, they did not. In other news, Big Ben got hurt again and will be out for the next few weeks. Can we count Pittsburgh out now? I hope so.

NY Giants @ Buccaneers 32-18
The game couldn’t have started much worse for the Giants with Eli throwing a pick on their first play of the game, but it ended fantastically with Trent Wade getting a fumble recovery for a touchdown on the final play of the game. It was soooooooooo nice to have JPP back on the field. For his first game back I think he did remarkably well.  We played much better on defense and special teams this week, meaning we actually showed up and made things happen, that couldn’t be said last week. The Giants are sitting pretty in first place of the NFC East, (and yes I’ll be mentioning it every week) My dad said at one point, “I like watching football with you much more than just getting a phone call every Sunday to discuss the games” My dad melts my heart sometimes.

Falcons @ 49ers 16-17
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Atlanta. #sorrynotsorry

Broncos @ Colts 24-27
I had to turn this game off right before the time ran out because I knew they would show a close up of Peyton’s face. I still can’t bring myself to watch the highlights. Poor Peyton. Damn that Luck. And to think I used to be a Colts fan…

Eagles @ Cowboys 33-27 OT
I was half right. They were tied at the end of regulation… The Eagles win was actually a good thing for the Giants and that’s all that counts.

Bears @ Chargers 22-19
I like watching the Bears because there are a lot of jokes about Jay Cutler being on his back. This game did not disappoint. And hey, the Bears even got a win out of it.

WEEK 10

Thursday November 12th

Bills (4-4) @ Jets (5-3) [8:25pm NFLN]
Old Rex Ryan will have a reunion of sorts when he comes across the state to play his old team (who is doing remarkably well after his departure). Good for the Jets.  I’m anticipating a great game, a live circus, and lots of ridiculousness.  I’m picking the Jets for the win because that’s kinda how Rex Ryan’s stories seem to end, in disappointment.

Sunday November 15th

Lions (1-7) @ Packers (6-2) [1:00pm FOX]
THE PACKERS WILL GET THIS WIN!

Cowboys (2-6) @ Buccaneers (3-5) [1pm FOX]
The Cowboys haven’t won a game since they lost Romo and I don’t see them winning this game either. I’m picking the Bucs for the win.

Panthers (8-0) @ Titans (2-6)  [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Panthers for the win.

Bears (3-5) @ Rams (4-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m taking the Rams over the Bears.

Saints (4-5) @ Redskins (3-5) [1pm FOX]
I’m going to pick the Saints for the win.

Dolphins (3-5) @ Eagles (4-4) [1pm CBS]
Man oh man, I hope the Dolphins get their act together and win this game. I’m picking the Eagles for the win but will be rooting for Miami!

Browns (2-7) @ Steelers (5-4) [1pm CBS]
Big Ben is not ruling himself out for this game… whatever. I’ll be rooting for the Browns but picking the Steelers for the win.

Jaguars (2-6) @ Ravens (2-6) [1pm CBS]
I’ll pick the Ravens for the win.

Vikings (6-2) @ Raiders (4-4) [4:05pm FOX]
This should be a good game. I’m going to pick the Raiders, why? Because everyone likes a good upset now and again.

Patriots (8-0) @ NY Giants (5-4) [4:25pm CBS]
We all know that the Giants can and have beat the Pats on numerous occasions. Why should this game be any different? If anyone can knock off their perfect record the Giants can do it. With all that being said I’m picking the Pats for the win. If the Giants don’t win this game it’s ok, they’ll just knock them off in the Super Bowl again… and again… and again. GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!

Chiefs (3-5) @ Broncos (7-1) [4:25pm CBS]
The Broncos are going to bounce back and beat the Chiefs.

Cardinals (6-2) @ Seahawks (4-4) [8:30pm NBC]
The Angry birds game. I’m going to take the Seahawks at home.

Monday, November 16th

Texans (3-5) @ Bengals (8-0) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m taking the Bengals for the win.

BYES: Chargers, Colts, 49ers, Falcons

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 9 '15 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
November 5, 2015
Regular Season Week 9

We are half way through the season. Tear. But we still have half a season left! Lets make the most of it!!!

We’re heading into week 9 and we’re down to 4 undefeated teams, New England, Cincinnati, Denver, and Carolina. I was very surprised to see Green Bay lose! There were a lot of significant injuries this past weekend. I think I touched on most of them in the recap.
I was disappointed to see that Weatherford was cut by the Jets after just one game. Coincidently, the Giants really could have used him this past weekend, being that he would’ve had enough sense to NOT get penalized for a facemask at the end of the game, giving the win to the Saints. SMH.

I went 9-5 on my picks, the Giants lost but I won in one of my leagues… I’d rather have a Giants win…

Let’s recap week eight.

Dolphins @ Patriots 7-36
I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t at all shocked about the outcome of this game. Sorry Dolphins fans.

Lions @ Chiefs 10-45
I’m pretty sure the Lions forgot that the game was in London and failed to show up. It made for an easy win for the Chiefs though.  Things got even worse for the Lions when they returned to the states with their GM (Martin Mayhew) and president (Tom Lewand) losing their jobs… Jim Caldwell (Head Coach) still has his… for now.

Buccaneers  @ Falcons 23-20 OT
I’d like to say that this was surprising loss for the Falcons but really, not so much.

Cardinals @ Browns 34-20
If this game were only the first 2 quarters then the Browns would have had an impressive win.  But there are 4 quarters in football Cleveland.

49ers @ Rams 6-27
I know I’ve said it before but the 49ers are TERRIBLE! They haven’t scored a touchdown in 2 games. They are benching QB Kaepernick and they lost Reggie Bush.  At least the Rams benefited from San Francisco’s terribleness.

NY Giants @ Saints 49-52
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Expletive, expletive, expletive!!!! Eli had 6 touchdowns and no interceptions but it wasn’t enough because our defense and special teams forgot to show up. Tough loss… expletive.

Vikings @ Bears 23-20
I mean it wasn’t a great feat to beat the Bears… Well done, Minnesota

Chargers @ Ravens 26-29
The Ravens won the game and improved to 2-6 but it came at a high cost, as they lost Steve Smith Sr. to a torn achillies.

Bengals @ Steelers 16-10
Did you see those uniforms?!?! Things that come to mind after seeing them; flight of the bumblebees, jailbirds and my eyes, my eyes I’ve gone blind!!! Big Ben is back but it wasn’t enough to get the Steelers the win. Darn. In more serious news Pittsburgh lost RB Le’Veon Bell to a season ending knee injury.

Titans @ Texans 6-20
The Titans fired head coach Ken Whisenhunt after this game. They probably should go ahead and fire the whole team and start from scratch. Congrats to Houston on actually getting a win!

Jets @ Raiders 20-34
Just when we start to think that the Jets are a good team in the NFL they go and lose to the Raiders. Fitzpatrick was injured during the game but when the back up was also injured he went back in. I guess it makes sense as to why they lost the game.

Seahawks @ Cowboys 13-12
After the Giants loss, I’m not gonna lie, I took a nap during this game. But I was glad to see that the Seahawks won. Then again I’m always glad to see Dallas lose.

Packers @ Broncos 10-29
I was wrong. I admit it. I’m happy the Broncos won, I was rooting for them. It’s a really good thing they have the best defense in the NFL. They made Aaron have a really, really, really, bad day.

Colts @ Panthers 26-29 OT
Well done Panthers! 7-0!!! Keep pounding! I wore my Panthers t-shirt in support of this game, missing Carolina.

WEEK 9

Thursday November 5th

Browns (2-6) @ Bengals (7-0) [8:25pm NFLN]
You can no longer watch this game on CBS, so I hope you have the NFL Network if you want to watch this game. It looks like the Bengals are going to go 8-0… it would be lovely if the Browns didn’t let that happen. Johnny Football is starting this game, so that should be entertaining.

Sunday November 8th

Packers (6-1) @ Panthers (7-0) [1:00pm FOX]
The Packers are angry for losing last week so I think that we will really see what Carolina is made of. I’m picking the Packers for the win, just because I think this will be the hardest game yet for the Panthers.

Redskins (3-4) @ Patriots (7-0) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Pats...

Titans (1-6) @ Saints (4-4)  [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Saints for the win.

Dolphins (3-4) @ Bills (3-4) [1pm CBS]
The Bills are coming back from their bye week. They should be refreshed and ready to go, as well as QB Tyrod Taylor!  I’m picking Buffalo for the win.

Rams (4-3) @ Vikings (5-2) [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Vikings at home.

Jaguars (2-5) @ Jets (4-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m hoping the Jets bounce back. I’m picking NY for the win.

Raiders (4-3) @ Steelers (4-4) [1pm CBS]
I’ll be rooting for the Raiders but picking the Steelers for the win.

NY Giants (4-4) @ Buccaneers (3-4) [4:05pm FOX]
Oh lord. I’m picking the Giants, though I’m not sure why, other than I love them, and I’m bias, and delusional. JPP could actually play this game and that gives me hope for the win. I’m pretty sure my cousin and friends will be at this game sooooo GO GMEN!!!!

Falcons (6-2) @ 49ers (2-6) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m picking the Falcons for the win but it could also end in a tie.

Broncos (7-0) @ Colts (3-5) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m going with the Broncos. Apparently Luck has been playing with broken ribs…

Eagles (3-4) @ Cowboys (2-5) [8:30pm NBC]
I’ve got to pick the Cowboys for the win. I have no other choice. Wait! Yes! A tie! I pick a tie!

Monday, November 9th

Bears (2-5) @ Chargers (2-6) [8:30pm ESPN]
I think the Chargers will win at home. Though no one really cares.

BYES: Ravens, Chiefs, Texans, Lions, Cardinals, Seahawks

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
