The Shenoa Report Week 17 '14

The Shenoa Report
December 28, 2014
Regular Season Week 17

This week I’m writing to you from NY! I’m home for the holidays. It’s Sunday morning and game time is less than 2 hours away… As I’ve said before, if it weren’t for the last minute I wouldn’t have any time at all.  It’s the last week of the regular season! I think each year the seasons go by faster and faster. I’m looking forward to watching football with my dad today. Last week I did horrible on my picks at 8-8 but at the same time there were some pretty surprising games. I’m also doing well in fantasy and am currently leading in the winners bracket, victory is so close I can almost smell it!

 Anyway…
Let’s recap week 16

Titans @ Jaguars 13-21
Hey, hey, hey look at the Jags winning their 3rd game of the season!

Eagles @ Redskins 24-27
Woot woot Redskins!!! HTTR!

Chargers @ 49ers 38-35 OT
Well played Chargers, well played.

Packers @ Buccaneers 20-3
Well the Packers sure did bounce back didn’t they? They still have some work to do to get the crown of the NFC North.

Ravens @ Texans 13-25
With this win it’s as if the Texans are saying, “So you’re telling me there’s a chance”.

Chiefs @ Steelers 12-20
The Steelers clinched a playoff spot with this win….

Browns @ Panthers 13-17
My friend David, who is a big Browns fan, has changed Manziel’s nickname to  “Johnny Touch Football” because clearly this kid is NOT ready for the NFL and should probably stick to 2-hand-touch football for a while.

Lions @ Bears 20-14
The Lions clinched a playoff spot with this win! Lions fans everywhere rejoiced at the Eagles loss because that’s what pushed the Lions into the playoffs!

Vikings @ Dolphins 35-37
This was a meaningless game with a less than shocking ending.

Falcons @ Saints 30-14
The Saints officially suck this year.

Patriots @ Jets 17-16
The Pats really let down their game and Rex Ryan probably cried after this loss.

NY Giants @ Rams 37-27
Here’s the recap- Beckham is AMAZING. Crazy Fights. And a GIANTS VICTORY!

Colts @ Cowboys 7-42
WOW. Major disappointment Luck.

Bills @ Raiders 24-26
For all you Bills fans. I’m sorry, so sorry.

Seahawks @ Cardinals 35-6
Probably shouldn’t have played the Cardinals defense... But glad Marshawn Lynch is also on my fantasy team.

Broncos @ Bengals 28-37
Peyton must have taken a page out of Eli’s book… Major disappointment and it kept the Bengals hopes alive.

WEEK 17

Sunday December 28st

Browns (7-8) @ Ravens (9-6) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Ravens for the win.

Cowboys (11-4) @ Redskins (4-11) [1pm FOX]
I’ll be rooting for the Redskins and picking the Cowboys but hoping for a Redskins win.

Colts (10-5) @ Titans (2-13) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Colts for the win.

Saints (6-9) @ Buccaneers (2-13) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Saints but wouldn’t be surprised if the Bucs upset

Eagles (9-6) @ NY Giants (6-9) [1pm FOX]
They say this game is meaningless but I dare you to say this to a Giants fan or an Eagles fan. This is a big game and I’m picking the Giants for a win and a Christmas Miracle.

Bills (8-7) @ Patriots (12-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Pats for the win only so the Bills have a chance.

Jaguars (3-12) @ Texans (8-7) [1pm FOX]
I’m going with the Texans for the win.

Chargers (9-6) @ Chiefs (8-7)  [1pm CBS]
I’m going to have to pick the Chargers for the win.

Jets (3-12) @ Dolphins (8-7) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Dolphins.

Bears (5-10) @ Vikings (6-9) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Vikings for the win.

Raiders (3-12) @ Broncos (11-4) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking the Broncos for the win.

Cardinals (11-4) @ 49ers (7-8) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m picking the Cardinals for the win even though they seem to be in a downward spiral.

Lions (11-4) @ Packers (11-4) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m picking the Packers for the win and the NFC North crown.

Rams (6-9) @ Seahawks (11-4)  [4:25pm FOX]
I’m picking the Seahawks for the win.

Panthers (6-8-1) @ Falcons (6-9) [4:25pm CBS]
This is a BIG game for the NFC South. I’m picking the Panthers for the win!

Bengals (10-4-1) @ Steelers (10-5) [8:30pm NBC]
Another Big game. I’ll be rooting for the Bengals and picking the Steelers!

The Shenoa Report Week 16 '14

The Shenoa Report
December 18, 2014
Regular Season Week 16

I’m back in NC. Hilton Head was AMAZING and it was hard to leave. I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t watch much football this past weekend. I listened to a couple of games on my drive back from the beach but that was about it. I know I’m a slacker, but sometimes its good to take a break from everything. I did alright on my picks this past week at 12-4 and my fantasy team won it’s first playoff bracket!!! PS I’m in the winners bracket for the first time EVER!

 Anyway…
Let’s recap week 15

Cardinals @ Rams 12-6
I watched the first half of this game snuggled up on the couch with the boy. It was a good defensive game and I must not have yelled too much because from behind me there were snores in my ear. Clearly, I’m more into football than he is.

Redskins @ NY Giants 13-24
Thank you Gmen for a birthday win! So glad Beckham is on my fantasy team, 3 touchdowns!!!!

Steelers @ Falcons 27-20
I guess the Falcons at least put up a fight.

Dolphins @ Patriots 13-41
I’m a little sick and tired of reporting another Patriots win…

Raiders @ Chiefs 13-31
Nothing really shocking here.

Texans @ Colts 10-17
This was a good close game just like I thought it would be.

Bengals @ Browns 30-0
Johnny Football is NOT the answer for Cleveland. Worst display from a rookie QB, pretty much ever.

Jaguars @ Ravens 12-20
They Ravens outplayed the Jags… just like every other team in the NFL.

Packers @ Bills 13-21
Wow, I mean wow… I did not see that one coming. Good job Bills, too bad you are in the same division as the stupid Patriots.

Buccaneers @ Panthers 17-19
The Panthers finished a game! The Panthers finished a game!

Jets @ Titans 16-11
This is the first game in NFL history that has ended in a 16-11 score. That’s the only exciting thing to report on this game.

Broncos @ Chargers 22-10
It was so scary to listen to this game and hear that Peyton had to leave the game due to injury. Thankfully, it was minor and he was  able to return to the game!

Vikings @ Lions 14-16
Another close game and another close win for the Lions; who are now at the top of their division after the Bills beat Green Bay.

49ers @ Seahawks 7-17
Tehehehehe.

Cowboys @ Eagles 38-27
I’m glad the Cowboys got the win because it evens out the division. That’s about it.

Saints @ Bears 31-15
This just in, the Bears are an embarrassment to the NFL.

WEEK 16

Thursday December 18th

Titans (2-12) @ Jaguars (2-12) [8:25pm NFLN]
I’m going to pick the Jags for the win but only because they beat the Giants and the Giants beat the Titans.

Saturday December 20th

Eagles (9-5) @ Redskins (3-11) [4:30pm NFLN]
I’ll be rooting for the Redskins and picking the Eagles for the win.

Chargers (8-6) @ 49ers (7-7) [8:25pm CBS, NFLN]
I’m going to pick the 49ers for the win, although I wouldn’t be surprised if the Chargers pulled it off.

Sunday December 21st

Packers (10-4) @ Buccaneers (2-12) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Packers for the win.

Ravens (9-5) @ Texans (7-7) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Texans for the win and rooting for them too.

Chiefs (8-6) @ Steelers (9-5) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Steelers but will be rooting for the Chiefs

Browns (7-7) @ Panthers (5-8-1) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Panthers for the win.

Lions (10-4) @ Bears (5-9)  [1pm FOX]
I’m going with the Lions.

Vikings (6-8) @ Dolphins (7-7) [1pm FOX]
 I’m picking the Dolphins.

Falcons (5-9) @ Saints (6-8) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Saints at home.

Patriots (11-3) @ Jets (3-11) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Pats.

NY Giants (5-9) @ Rams (6-8) [4:05pm FOX]
I know that the Giants can win this game and I want them to win and I’ll be rooting for them, but for picks sake I’m taking the Rams at home.

Colts (10-4) @ Cowboys (10-4) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking the Colts. Don’t let me down boys.

Bills (8-6) @ Raiders (2-12)  [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bills for the win.

Seahawks (10-4) @ Cardinals (11-3) [8:30pm NBC]
I’m going with the Cardinals for the win.

Monday December 15th

Broncos (11-3) @ Bengals (9-4-1) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m going with the Broncos for the win.

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 15 '14

The Shenoa Report
December 11, 2014
Regular Season Week 15

I can’t believe that it’s week 15 already. I feel like this season has flown by.   I am still on vacation in Hilton Head SC and it’s been an amazing week so far. This past Sunday I was able to watch a lot of great football and the Giants gave me an early birthday present with a win! My actual birthday is this Saturday, and I don’t mean to be greedy, but I’d like another Giants win on Sunday.
I did much better on my picks this past week at 13-3 and my fantasy team is currently winning in our playoff bracket.

 Anyway…
Let’s recap week 14

Cowboys @ Bears 41-28
I would have picked the Bears to win and clearly I would have been wrong.

Rams @ Redskins 24-0
Thank God for the Redskins, without them the Giants would be at the bottom of the NFC East.

Steelers @ Bengals 42-21
This game really wasn’t that surprising; it’s just too bad that it had to be a divisional loss for the Bengals.

NY Giants @ Titans 36-7
The first half was amazing, outstanding, wonderful, but the Giants almost always seem to have great first halves. I’m not gonna lie, I was almost sick when Eli threw that pick 6 to start the 3rd quarter… it was if he was saying “here we go again, I’m going to literally throw this game away.” BUT there wasn’t a downward spiral and the Giants won for the first time since October. Beckham had another great game as did RB, Andre Williams and our entire defense played very well.
I’m proud of you boys! GO GMEN!!!!

Panthers @ Saints 41-10
Yes, you read that score right. Don’t worry I thought it was a typo too. It’s safe to say that the Saints are NOT the same team they were last year, I mean neither are the Panthers but the Saints are more shocking.

Jets @ Vikings 24-30 OT
Poor Jets, can’t even get a win in overtime. Shocking? Not so much.

Ravens @ Dolphins 28-13
Not much to report on this game.  Although I did see some dolphins yesterday, they were swimming in the ocean.  Tehehehe. I love vacation.

Colts @ Browns 25-24
I mean, I’m not surprised that the Colts won I just didn’t think it would be such a heartbreaking loss for the Browns.

Buccaneers @ Lions 17-34
Pretty sure this didn’t shock anyone.

Texans @ Jaguars 27-13
This was one of the games that I “watched” this weekend. And when I say “watch” I mean the game was on in the other room while I was crouched in front of my computer watching the Giants game. It was nice looking up and seeing J.J. Watt on the big screen though.

Bills @ Broncos 17-24
Apparently there were some pretty bad calls in this game, at least that’s what all Bills fans will say. Even though they lost they didn’t allow Peyton to throw a touchdown pass for the first time in 51 straight games, and they picked him off twice. I guess you could say that Peyton played more like his little brother.

Chiefs @ Cardinals 14-17
I knew the Cardinals would bounce back.

Seahawks @ Eagles 24-14
Thanks Seattle!!!!!! Love you!

49ers @ Raiders 13-24
HA!!!!! TOLD YOU SO!

Patriots @ Chargers 23-14
Well, the first half was good. meh.

Falcons @ Packers 37-43
This was quite a game. Snow, cold, some amazing picks and a Falcons attempt comeback. Glad the Packers pulled off the win though.

WEEK 14

Thursday December 11th

Cardinals (10-3) @ Rams (6-7) [8:25pm NFLN]
I think that this is actually going to be a good game. I’m going to pick the Cardinals to win but I won’t be surprised if the Bumblebees pull off the upset.

Sunday December 14th

Redskins (3-10) @ NY Giants (4-9) [1pm FOX]
Alright boys, I’m picking the Giants for the win. Remember Gmen, it’s my birthday and I’m kind of a princess when it comes to things that I want. Don’t let me down.

Steelers (8-5) @ Falcons (5-8) [1pm CBS]
Can’t believe I’m saying this but I’ll be rooting for the Falcons… I’m picking the Steelers for the win but really hoping for a tie.

Dolphins (7-6) @ Patriots (10-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Pats.

Raiders (2-11) @ Chiefs (7-6) [1pm CBS]
I’m going with the Chiefs.

Texans (7-6) @ Colts (9-4)  [1pm CBS]
This should be another good game. I’m picking the Colts to win, mainly because Andrew Luck is my QB in fantasy.

Bengals (8-4-1) @ Browns (7-6) [1pm FOX]
Johnny Football will be the starting QB for the Browns and I think he’ll get the win too.

Jaguars (2-11) @ Ravens (8-5) [1pm CBS]
I’m going to have to pick the Ravens.

Packers (10-3) @ Bills (7-6) [1pm FOX]
Sorry Bills, I’m going to have to pick the Packers.

Buccaneers (2-11) @ Panthers (4-8-1) [1pm FOX]
Cam Newton was in a car accident earlier this week in Charlotte, he spent the night in the hospital and will not be playing on Sunday.  I still think that the Panthers will win this game even without Cam.

Jets (2-11) @ Titans (2-11) [4:05pm CBS]
Hey, someone is going to get their 3rd win of the season! I’m picking the Titans.

Broncos (10-3) @ Chargers (8-5)  [4:05pm CBS]
I’m taking the Broncos over the Chargers.
Vikings (6-7) @ Lions (9-4) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m going to take the Lions for the win.

49ers (7-6) @ Seahawks (9-4) [4:25pm FOX]
I’ll be rooting for and picking the Seahawks for the win.

Cowboys (9-4) @ Eagles (9-4) [8:30pm NBC]
I hope this game ends in a tie. I’m not going to say that I’ll be rooting for either of these teams. I’d much rather see the Cowboys win but they couldn’t do that on Thanksgiving. Maybe they’ll get the win this time around. I’m picking the Cowboys for the win.

Monday December 15th

Saints (5-8) @ Bears (5-8) [8:30pm ESPN]
Both teams are an embarrassment to watch this season.  I’m picking the Bears only because they are at home.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Mom!!!!!

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 14 '14

The Shenoa Report
December 7, 2014
Regular Season Week 14

I apologize that this report did not come out on Thursday of this week. I was a little under the weather and that’s putting it nicely. I’ll spare you the graphic details…
This is my birthday week so I’ve decided to vacation in Hilton Head, SC. The trip was delayed a day, due to my afore mentioned sickness, but I seem to be feeling fine now. (There’s something about the ocean air and not being at work that really soothes one’s soul). I wasn’t sure what brought on the upset stomach and frequent trips to the bathroom but then I remembered the NY Giants performance this season and think there may be a correlation.
I did much better on my picks this past week at 12-4 and I had another win in fantasy bringing my record to 10-3, which is coincidently the reciprocal record of the NY Giants… at least one of us is having a good season this year.  (I used that line last week but it was so good I decided to keep it in)

 Anyway…
Let’s recap week 13

Bears @ Lions 17-34
It was so nice to watch this game with my dad. Living so far away from my family has taught me that when I am with them, not to take that time for granted.  I love watching football with my dad and I love that the Lions won, although for a minute I thought the Bears had a chance.

Eagles @ Cowboys 33-10
This was a depressing game all around so we decided to have our Thanksgiving dinner during the first half so we didn’t have to watch the debacle that was this game.

Seahawks @ 49ers 19-3
I mean we all saw this coming. I’ve been saying it all season, the 49ers aren’t that good they’re just lucky and their luck ran out on Thanksgiving night.

Titans @ Texans 21-45
They should rename the Texans, Watt’s Team because basically J.J. Watt runs the show. I mean it’s like he’s still in high school in that he is now playing offense and defense.

Raiders @ Rams 0-52
I know I pick on the Giants a lot (because they’re terrible) but they don’t hold a candle to the Raiders… Dear Raiders, thanks for making this Giants fan feel a tiny bit better.

Chargers @ Ravens 34-33
Then the question comes up is it worse to lose by 1 point or 52? I feel like it’s worse to lose by 1 point, but that’s just me.

Browns @ Bills 10-26
Maybe Buffalo should be hit by a shit ton of snow every season, I mean it seems to be motivating the Bills to win, win, win. Keep up the good work Buffalo on the other hand the Browns are in a downward spiral and not even Johnny Football can save them.

Bengals @ Buccaneers 14-13
Those damn 1 point games, I can relate Bucs fans… heartbreaking isn’t it.

Redskins  @ Colts 27-49
Soooooo glad I drafted Andrew Luck this year. After his slow start and first touchdown of the game I joked with my roommate’s brother saying, “now I just need 4 more touchdowns to win this week in fantasy”. And Luck provided.

NY Giants @ Jaguars 24-25
I. Just. Can’t.

Panthers @ Vikings 13-31
I need to clear the air. My roommate says that it’s just as bad to be a Panthers fan as it is to be a Giants fan but I disagree. It’s far worse to be a Giants fan because the Giants give you hope. They’ll be up 20 some points in the first half, build up your hopes and dreams of a win and then have it all crashing down and lose to the 1-10 bleeping Jags! At least you know what you are walking into with the Panthers, they conveniently suck the entire game never building up your hopes and dreams… Sorry, not sorry Panthers fans, I mean you could always become a Giants fan, but I’ll warn you, it’s WAY worse.

Saints @ Steelers 35-32
Tehehehe.  It always brightens my day to see a Steelers loss though. Silver lining.

Cardinals @ Falcons 18-29
It’s that time of year where the Cardinals fall apart…

Patriots @ Packers 21-26
I don’t know what’s better, a Patriots loss or seeing Tom Brady on a leash. Thankfully both happened Sunday and the world is a better place because of it.

Broncos @ Chiefs 29-16
It’s nice to see that the Broncos have developed their rushing game.  And it’s even nicer that C.J. Anderson, Broncos RB, is on my fantasy team and has been racking up the points these past few weeks.

Dolphins @ Jets 16-13
Hey! At least my NY team has a better record than the NY Jets… I’m finding silver linings left and right.

WEEK 14

Thursday December 4th

Cowboys @ Bears 41-28
I would have picked the Bears to win and clearly I would have been wrong.

Sunday December 7th

Rams (5-7) @ Redskins (3-9) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Rams even though the Redskins are not playing RG3

Steelers (7-5) @ Bengals (8-3-1) [1pm CBS]
I’m going to pick the Steelers although I hope I’m wrong.

NY Giants (3-9) @ Titans (2-10) [1pm FOX]
My cousin is a huge Titans fan so when I was in Nashville I got her some Titans souvenir drinking cups from the game.   I currently have said cups in the back of my truck and was thinking about drinking out of them this Sunday, thinking that maybe just maybe, if I root for the other team the Giants may find a win… I really don’t know what else to do. I’ve tried just about everything. Abby, I’m picking the Titans for the win, even though I’m a diehard Giants fan, and will continue to root for them even though they fill me with false hope. I still believe in them and blah blah blah

Panthers (3-8-1) @ Saints (5-7) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Saints.

Jets (2-10) @ Vikings (5-7)  [1pm CBS]
I’ll have to go with the Vikings.

Ravens (7-5) @ Dolphins (7-5) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Ravens.

Colts (8-4) @ Browns (7-5) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Colts for the win. Sorry Browns fans, you had a good run this season.

Buccaneers (2-10) @ Lions (8-4) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Lions for the win.

Texans (6-6) @ Jaguars (2-10) [1pm CBS]
I’m going with The Team of Watt.

Bills (7-5) @ Broncos (9-3) [4:05pm CBS]
Sorry Bills, I’ve got to pick the Broncos, my allegiance is with Peyton (the Manning that actually can get things done)

Chiefs (7-5) @ Cardinals (9-3)  [4:05pm CBS]
I think that the Cardinals will bounce back this week.

Seahawks (8-4) @ Eagles (9-3) [4:25pm FOX]
Dear Seahawks, please win. Love, Shenoa. PS, I’m rooting for you and picking you for the win so please don’t let me down.

49ers (7-5) @ Raiders (1-11) [4:25pm FOX]
And for my crazy pick of the week, I’m picking the Raiders for the win.

Patriots (9-3) @ Chargers (8-4) [8:30pm NBC]
I’m picking the Patriots only so the Chargers will have a chance at winning.

Monday December 8st

Falcons (5-7) @ Packers (9-3) [8:30pm ESPN]
Go Pack Go! Picking Green Bay for the win.

There are no more byes for the rest of the season.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Mom!!!!!

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 13 '14

The Shenoa Report
November 27, 2014
Regular Season Week 13

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!! Today I am writing you from my parent’s house in snowy NY. I had to get up extra early so that I could A#1 write this report, B#2 watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and C#3 start baking the feast all before football starts at 12:30pm. Priorities. In discussing what time we should actually have dinner today my dad and I had to look at who was playing and when so we wouldn’t miss any football. We’ll be eating around 4pm. I love my family.
I did much better on my picks this week 11-4 and I had a crushing win in fantasy 68-130 bringing my record to 9-3, which is coincidently the reciprocal record of the NY Giants… at least one of us is having a good season this year.

 Anyway…
Let’s recap week 12

Chiefs @ Raiders 20-24
The Raiders finally got a win! The Raiders finally got a win!

Browns @ Falcons 26-24
The guy I’m dating finally got to see regular season football Shenoa. He lives in Atlanta so we don’t spend many Sunday’s together, especially during the football season. This was a particularly exciting game to watch… only because it was the only game they were airing in Atlanta.  Of course we rooted for the Browns and were happy that they won. PS he told me that this was the first full football game he had watched in years… I said, “Yeah I have that effect on people. “

Titans @ Eagles 24-43
At least the Titans put up a fight… kinda

Lions @ Patriots 9-34
Well Matt Prater had a good game scoring the only points for the Lions, even though he missed one field goal. I have nothing nice to say about the Patriots except Gronk dancing on the sideline was entertaining to watch, even though he should learn to dance while keeping his tongue in his mouth… Maybe he was really concentrating on his moves.

Packers @ Vikings 24-21
Hey at least the Vikings put up a really good fight and made the Packers work for that win.

Jaguars @ Colts 3-23
This game was UGLY. There were so many turnovers they could have opened a bakery.

Bengals @ Texans 22-13
When Andy Dalton has a good game the Bengals have a good game, and the Ginger had a good day.

Buccaneers @ Bears 13-21
Da Bears beat their former coach Lovie Smith in this anticlimactic game.

Cardinals @ Seahawks 3-19
The Seahawks decided to actually play like the Seahawks and knocked the Cardinals amazing record down to their second loss of the season.

Rams @ Chargers 24-27
This is why I don’t pick the Rams to win… you let me down Bumblebees.

Dolphins @ Broncos 36-39
This game reminded me of the Colts 10 years ago.  Peyton and the boys would be down the whole game and in the 4th quarter he would decide to light it up. This was a great game with a fantastic ending.

Redskins @ 49ers 13-17
I’m going to say it… the 49ers are NOT good, they just get lucky… PS the Redskins are benching RG3

Cowboys @ Giants 31-28
Odell Beckham Jr.’s AMAZING PHENOMINAL 3 FINGERED TOUCHDOWN CATCH BROKE THE INTERNET, and the Giants once again broke my heart. What a game.

Ravens @ Saints 34-27
I can’t believe that the Saints lost at home. I’m not sad though because I have Justin Forsett on my fantasy team and he killed it for the Ravens with 182 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns.

Jets @ Bills 3-38
The snow didn’t seem to affect the Bills one iota; in fact it fueled Buffalo into a tremendous win over the Jets in Detroit.

WEEK 13

Thursday November 27th

Bears (5-6) @ Lions (7-4) [12:30pm CBS]
In the past 10 years of Thanksgiving games the Lions have only won one game and that was last year. I’m picking the Lions to win this game too.

Eagles (8-3) @ Cowboys (8-3) [4:30pm FOX]
In the past 10 years of Thanksgiving games the Cowboys have won 7 times and I’m picking them to win today. I’m actually hoping that this game ends in a tie and I’ll be rooting for the defense…

Seahawks (7-4) @ 49ers (7-4) [8:30pm NBC]
I’m picking the Seahawks for the win.

Sunday November 30th

Titans (2-9) @ Texans (5-6) [1pm CBS]
I’m going with the Texans.

Raiders (1-10) @ Rams (4-7) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Rams.

Chargers (7-4) @ Ravens (7-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m taking the Ravens.

Browns (7-4) @ Bills (6-5)  [1pm CBS]
This game should be played in Buffalo this Sunday after that massive snowstorm. It should be a good game and I’m picking the Bills for the win.

Bengals (7-3-1) @ Buccaneers (2-9) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bengals for the win.

Redskins (3-8) @ Colts (7-4) [1pm FOX]
I feel pretty confident in a Colts win…

NY Giants (3-8) @ Jaguars (1-10) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Giants for the win. I mean, for the love of God, please get the win.

Panthers (3-7-1) @ Vikings (4-7) [1pm FOX]
The Panthers are coming off their bye but I still don’t see them winning this game. We’ll see. I’m picking the Vikings.

Saints (4-7) @ Steelers (7-4) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Steelers but will be rooting for the Saints.

Cardinals (9-2) @ Falcons (4-7) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m picking the Cardinals for the win.

Patriots (9-2) @ Packers (8-3) [4:25pm CBS]
Picking the Pats to ensure a Packers win.

Broncos (8-3) @ Chiefs (7-4) [8:30pm NBC]
This is going to be a good close game. I’m picking the Broncos to win.

Monday December 1st

Dolphins (6-5) @ Jets (2-9) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’ll have to go with the Dolphins…

There are no more byes for the rest of the season.

The Shenoa Report Week 12 '14

The Shenoa Report
November 20, 2014
Regular Season Week 12

I am naming this past week in football Twilight Zone Week. This was the most bizarre week yet and my picks reflect that at 7-7. I mean who would have thought that the Rams would have beat the Broncos?! I know, I know, any given day any given team can win. The Twilight Zone Week may be continuing at least in Buffalo as the city was hit with over 6ft of snow. The Bills are were expecting to play at home and offering $10/hr and tickets to the game to help with snow removal but with Buffalo expected to get another 2 to 3 foot of snow today they will probably move the game day and location to Monday or Tuesday at either Detroit or Washington’s stadium.
I know, you know that my comments can be somewhat snarky in this report, but after last weekend you’d better buckle up because Snarky McSnarkerson is in town.  My fantasy team is now 8-3 after a miserable loss (I don’t even want to tell you the final score but I will 115-83) Anyway…
Let’s recap week 11

Bills @ Dolphins 9-22
In beautiful Buffalo style they failed to finish the game.

Vikings @ Bears 13-21
Hey, hey, hey the Bears finally get a win and Brandon Marshall finally gets not one but two touchdowns.

Texans @ Browns 23-7
J.J. Watt messed Cleveland up!

Falcons  @ Panthers 19-17
It’s safe to say that the NFC South is pathetic. With the Falcons win they now are tied for first place with a 4-6 record… really nothing to boast about.

Bengals @ Saints 27-10
Wait, the Saints lost at home again? To the Ginger and the other tigers? Classic.

Buccaneers @ Redskins 27-7
Who gave the Bucs their second win of the season? The Washington Redskins of course. Way-to-go Bucs!

Broncos @ Rams 7-22
On any given day….

49ers  @ NY Giants 16-10
If I were the 49ers I’d be pretty embarrassed at that win. You intercepted Eli 5 times and only scored 16 points? As for the Giants… still love you guys even though you fail to meet my expectations. Hey at least you have more wins than that team you share a stadium with.

Seahawks @ Chiefs 20-24
I picked the Chiefs to win? Yeah, it surprised me too. Not gonna lie, that Alex Smith is pretty dreamy. But thanks to Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch having a crappy game my fantasy team lost.

Raiders @ Chargers 6-13
The Raiders almost got a win… but almost doesn’t count in football. Just ask the NY Giants…

Lions @ Cardinals 6-14
The Cards defense is legit… that’s why I have them on my fantasy team. I mean they only let the Lions in the redzone once the entire game.

Eagles @ Packers 20-53
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. It’s always really nice to see the Eagles lose horribly. Thanks Green Bay.

Patriots @ Colts 42-20
I would have liked to see the Colts put up a better fight but I’m not surprised by any means.

Steelers @ Titans 27-24
The Titans almost beat the Steelers!  Oh yeah, almost doesn’t count in football…

WEEK 12

Thursday November 20th

Chiefs (7-3) @ Raiders (0-10) [8:25pm NFLN]
I’m going to have to pick the Chiefs even though the Raiders are due for a win. Looking forward to another Thursday Night Blowout Football Game.

Sunday November 23rd

Browns (6-4) @ Falcons (4-6) [1pm CBS]
I’m thinking that the Browns will bounce back.

Titans (2-8) @ Eagles (7-3) [1pm CBS]
I’ll be rooting for the Titans and picking the Eagles.

Lions (7-3) @ Patriots (8-2) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Pats but only so the Lions have a chance of winning.

Packers (7-3) @ Vikings (4-6)  [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Packers over the Vikings in the rival game.

Jaguars (1-9) @ Colts (6-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m thinking the Colts will bounce back this week though stranger things have happened.

Bengals (6-3-1) @ Texans (5-5) [1pm CBS]
The Bengals surprised me last week, as did the Texans… decisions decisions. I’m picking the Texans.

Jets (2-8) @ Bills (5-5) [1pm CBS]
The Bills have had to cancel practice for the second day in a row due to a travel ban, they are also planning to move the game to another day and different stadium. With all that said I’m still picking the Bills to win.

Buccaneers (2-8) @ Bears (4-6) [1pm FOX]
I’m going with the Bears.

Cardinals (9-1) @ Seahawks (6-4) [4:05pm FOX]
This should be a good game. The Cardinals have the best record in the NFL and the Seahawks are slipping but will be playing at home.

Rams (4-6) @ Chargers (6-4) [4:05pm FOX]
After last week I think I’m going to pick the Rams to win.

Dolphins (6-4) @ Broncos (7-3) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking the Broncos to bounce back and win.

Redskins (3-7) @ 49ers (6-3) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m going to have to take the 49ers.

Cowboys (7-3) @ Giants (3-7) [8:30pm NBC]
This is going to be a tough game for me. My Uncle Jim was a huge Cowboys fan. (It’s probably one of the only things we didn’t agree on.) This will be the one year anniversary of his passing. I’ve been an emotional wreck all week missing him… As much as I’d like the Giants to win (and I’ll be rooting for them too) I’m going to pick the Cowboys for the win in honor of my Uncle Jim.

Monday November 24th

Ravens (6-4) @ Saints (4-6) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Saints for the win.

********Jets (2-8) @ Bills (5-5) [TBA]*********
The Bills have had to cancel practice for the second day in a row due to a travel ban, they are also planning to move the game to another day and different stadium. With all that said I’m still picking the Bills to win.

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 11 '14

The Shenoa Report
November 13, 2014
Regular Season Week 11

Week 11 is here. Where has the time gone? I’m at a loss for words right now…
Maybe I’d have more if my team were better…
Oh yes, I thought it was pretty awesome that the Thursday night games were also aired on CBS… up until last week. And now if you don’t have the NFL Network you’re out of luck. I’m house sitting this week. No NFL Network… Guess I’ll be watching the game from my computer. First world problems.
My fantasy team is now 8-2! Woot woot! And, I did ok on my picks this past week: 8-5.
Anyway…
Let’s recap week 10

Browns @ Bengals 24-3
The Browns are for real.

Cowboys @ Jaguars 31-17
This game was played in London, wish the Jags would have won…

49ers @ Saints 27-24 OT
A penalty took away the Saints game winning touchdown so the 49ers won in overtime.

Falcons @ Buccaneers 27-17
Shocking? No, not really.

Chiefs @ Bills 17-13
Sorry Bills fans… maybe it was because I didn’t wear my Bills t-shirt.

Dolphins @ Lions 16-20
The Lions sure are glad that Megatron is back.

Titans @ Ravens 7-21
Nothing big to report here.

Steelers @ Jets 13-20
HOLY MOLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, WOW.  The circus comments have ceased… for a minute.  PS I’m so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, sorry Jim.

Broncos @ Raiders 41-17
At least one Manning had a good game. Peyton threw 5 touchdown passes in roughly 16 minutes.  No big deal.

Rams @ Cardinals 14-31
Well done, Cardinals.

NY Giants @ Seahawks 17-38
Sigh. At least I have Wilson & Lynch on my fantasy team…

Bears @ Packers 14-55
Go Pack Go? Ouch.

Panthers @ Eagles 21-45
 Yeah… this game sucked.

WEEK 11

Thursday November 13th

Bills (5-4) @ Dolphins (5-4) [8:25pm NFLN]
Hmmmmm the Bills?

Sunday November 16th

Vikings (4-5) @ Bears (3-6) [1pm CBS]
The Bears are bound to win one eventually. I’m picking Chicago.

Texans (4-5) @ Browns (6-3) [1pm CBS]
 Going with the Brownies.

Falcons (3-6) @ Panthers (3-6-1) [1pm FOX]
Picking the Panthers. You’re Welcome.

Bengals (5-3-1) @ Saints (4-5)  [1pm CBS]
 Picking the Saints.

Buccaneers (1-8) @ Redskins (3-6) [1pm FOX]
Going with the Redskins.

Broncos (7-2) @ Rams (3-6) [1pm CBS]
Taking the Broncos.

49ers (5-4) @ NY Giants (3-6) [1pm FOX]
blahhhblaahhhblaaaaaahhhahahahahahahahaha (I’m openly weeping) Picking the Giants… I’m delusional. I know.

Seahawks (6-3) @ Chiefs (6-3) [1pm FOX]
Chiefs.

Raiders (0-9) @ Chargers (5-4) [4:05pm CBS]
 I’m picking the Chargers.

Lions (7-2) @ Cardinals (8-1) [4:25pm FOX]
Sorry Detroit, I’m picking the Cards.

Eagles (7-2) @ Packers (6-3) [4:25pm FOX]
Go Pack Go!!!!!

Patriots (7-2) @ Colts (6-3) [8:30pm NBC]
Rooting the Colts picking the Pats.

Monday November 17th

Steelers (6-4) @ Titans (2-7) [8:30pm ESPN]
Going with the Steelers.

TEAMS WITH BYES: Jets, Ravens, Jaguars, Cowboys

THE SHENOA REPORT Week 10 '14

The Shenoa Report
November 6, 2014
Regular Season Week 10

A shout out to my nephew who is 3 today! Happy Birthday Gid love you lots!!! The day he was born the NY Football Giants beat the Patriots. (Yes, this is how I remember events in my life. They all seem to be football related.) Later that season the Giants beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Oh to reminisce….
All of my teams lost last week, horribly… therefore I’m not very excited to write this report this week. But it’s a new week, a fresh start. I guess things could be worse… I could be a Raiders fan or a Jets fan…
My fantasy team is now 7-2! Woot woot! And, I did pretty good on my picks this past week: 9-4.
Anyway…
Let’s recap week 9

Saints @ Panthers 28-10
The outcome to this game wasn’t too shocking. It’s not cool living with a Panthers fan now that they haven’t won a game in a month….

Buccaneers @ Browns 17-22
My friend David said the other day “you know it’s a crazy weird season when out of all your teams it’s the Cleveland Browns that give you hope” Well done Brownies.

Cardinals @ Cowboys 28-17
Romo’s out with 2 broken bones in his back… and their backup didn’t fare any better. Well done Cardinals.

Eagles @ Texans 31-21
At least the Texans put up a fight. Sort of. Eagles starting QB got hurt so Mark Sanchez stepped in and brought the team to victory… Bet Rex Ryan misses Sanchez right about now.

Jets @ Chiefs 10-24
I heard that Rex Ryan was a defensive genius, so can someone explain to me why his team is now 1-8?  In other news, good job Chiefs.

Jaguars @ Bengals 23-33
In the battle of the big cats the Jags looked more like kittens.

Chargers @ Dolphins 0-37
This game shocked me! Way to shut out the Chargers Miami!

Redskins @ Vikings 26-29
Yeah that score sounds about right. RG3 is back for the Redskins.

Rams @ 49ers 13-10
The bumblebees did it! They upset the 49ers!

Broncos @ Patriots 21-43
BLAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. That is all.

Raiders @ Seahawks 24-30
The Raiders almost got their first win… but almost doesn’t count in football…

Ravens @ Steelers 23-43
Big Ben is at it again. 2nd 6 touchdown game in a row….

Colts @ NY Giants 40-24
I just don’t know what to say anymore. My dad and I were on the phone for an hour watching the game together. The conversation consisted of mostly swear words aimed towards the Giants… thankfully I fell asleep at half time…

WEEK 10

Thursday November 6th

Browns (5-3) @ Bengals (5-2-1) [8:25pm CBS, NFLN]
I’m picking the Bengals. Love that little girl. Praying for her (Leah Still). Expecting miracles. GOD IS THE MIRACLE WORKER

Sunday November 9th

Cowboys (6-3) @ Jaguars (1-8) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Cowboys but rooting for the Jags… obviously.

49ers (4-4) @ Saints (4-4) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Saints at home.

Falcons (2-6) @ Buccaneers (1-7) [1pm FOX]
I’m going with the Bucs in this battle of who could care less.

Chiefs (5-3) @ Bills (5-3)  [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bills (every time I wear my Bills t-shirt they win)

Dolphins (5-3) @ Lions (6-2) [1pm CBS]
I’m going with the Lions. Megatron is supposed to return!

Titans (2-6) @ Ravens (5-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m taking the Ravens, I don’t think they’ll be embarrassed 2 weeks in a row.

Steelers (6-3) @ Jets (1-8) [1pm CBS]
Let’s see how genius Rex Ryan is this week… is it still considered a circus if no one shows up? I’m picking the Steelers to win but I will be rooting for the Jets this time. Shocking I know.

Broncos (6-2) @ Raiders (0-8) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m picking the Broncos… they really need to bounce back after last weeks terribleness.

Rams (3-5) @ Cardinals (7-1) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m going with the Cardinals… it amazes me that they have the best record in the NFL.

NY Giants (3-5) @ Seahawks (5-3) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m picking the Seahawks to win this game. I’m done being optimistic about my team…

Bears (3-5) @ Packers (5-3) [8:30pm NBC]
I’m picking the Packers for the win.

Monday November 10th

Panthers (3-5-1) @ Eagles (6-2) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’ll be rooting for the Panthers but picking the Eagles.

TEAMS WITH BYES: Patriots, Chargers, Texans, Colts, Redskins, Vikings
