The Shenoa Report Week 12 '14

The Shenoa Report

Regular Season Week 12

I am naming this past week in football Twilight Zone Week. This was the most bizarre week yet and my picks reflect that at 7-7. I mean who would have thought that the Rams would have beat the Broncos?! I know, I know, any given day any given team can win. The Twilight Zone Week may be continuing at least in Buffalo as the city was hit with over 6ft of snow. The Bills are were expecting to play at home and offering $10/hr and tickets to the game to help with snow removal but with Buffalo expected to get another 2 to 3 foot of snow today they will probably move the game day and location to Monday or Tuesday at either Detroit or Washington’s stadium.
I know, you know that my comments can be somewhat snarky in this report, but after last weekend you’d better buckle up because Snarky McSnarkerson is in town.  My fantasy team is now 8-3 after a miserable loss (I don’t even want to tell you the final score but I will 115-83) Anyway…
Let’s recap week 11

Bills @ Dolphins 9-22
In beautiful Buffalo style they failed to finish the game.

Vikings @ Bears 13-21
Hey, hey, hey the Bears finally get a win and Brandon Marshall finally gets not one but two touchdowns.

Texans @ Browns 23-7
J.J. Watt messed Cleveland up!

Falcons  @ Panthers 19-17
It’s safe to say that the NFC South is pathetic. With the Falcons win they now are tied for first place with a 4-6 record… really nothing to boast about.

Bengals @ Saints 27-10
Wait, the Saints lost at home again? To the Ginger and the other tigers? Classic.

Buccaneers @ Redskins 27-7
Who gave the Bucs their second win of the season? The Washington Redskins of course. Way-to-go Bucs!

Broncos @ Rams 7-22
On any given day….

49ers  @ NY Giants 16-10
If I were the 49ers I’d be pretty embarrassed at that win. You intercepted Eli 5 times and only scored 16 points? As for the Giants… still love you guys even though you fail to meet my expectations. Hey at least you have more wins than that team you share a stadium with.

Seahawks @ Chiefs 20-24
I picked the Chiefs to win? Yeah, it surprised me too. Not gonna lie, that Alex Smith is pretty dreamy. But thanks to Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch having a crappy game my fantasy team lost.

Raiders @ Chargers 6-13
The Raiders almost got a win… but almost doesn’t count in football. Just ask the NY Giants…

Lions @ Cardinals 6-14
The Cards defense is legit… that’s why I have them on my fantasy team. I mean they only let the Lions in the redzone once the entire game.

Eagles @ Packers 20-53
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. It’s always really nice to see the Eagles lose horribly. Thanks Green Bay.

Patriots @ Colts 42-20
I would have liked to see the Colts put up a better fight but I’m not surprised by any means.

Steelers @ Titans 27-24
The Titans almost beat the Steelers!  Oh yeah, almost doesn’t count in football…

WEEK 12

Thursday November 20th

Chiefs (7-3) @ Raiders (0-10) [8:25pm NFLN]
I’m going to have to pick the Chiefs even though the Raiders are due for a win. Looking forward to another Thursday Night Blowout Football Game.

Sunday November 23rd

Browns (6-4) @ Falcons (4-6) [1pm CBS]
I’m thinking that the Browns will bounce back.

Titans (2-8) @ Eagles (7-3) [1pm CBS]
I’ll be rooting for the Titans and picking the Eagles.

Lions (7-3) @ Patriots (8-2) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Pats but only so the Lions have a chance of winning.

Packers (7-3) @ Vikings (4-6)  [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Packers over the Vikings in the rival game.

Jaguars (1-9) @ Colts (6-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m thinking the Colts will bounce back this week though stranger things have happened.

Bengals (6-3-1) @ Texans (5-5) [1pm CBS]
The Bengals surprised me last week, as did the Texans… decisions decisions. I’m picking the Texans.

Jets (2-8) @ Bills (5-5) [1pm CBS]
The Bills have had to cancel practice for the second day in a row due to a travel ban, they are also planning to move the game to another day and different stadium. With all that said I’m still picking the Bills to win.

Buccaneers (2-8) @ Bears (4-6) [1pm FOX]
I’m going with the Bears.

Cardinals (9-1) @ Seahawks (6-4) [4:05pm FOX]
This should be a good game. The Cardinals have the best record in the NFL and the Seahawks are slipping but will be playing at home.

Rams (4-6) @ Chargers (6-4) [4:05pm FOX]
After last week I think I’m going to pick the Rams to win.

Dolphins (6-4) @ Broncos (7-3) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking the Broncos to bounce back and win.

Redskins (3-7) @ 49ers (6-3) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m going to have to take the 49ers.

Cowboys (7-3) @ Giants (3-7) [8:30pm NBC]
This is going to be a tough game for me. My Uncle Jim was a huge Cowboys fan. (It’s probably one of the only things we didn’t agree on.) This will be the one year anniversary of his passing. I’ve been an emotional wreck all week missing him… As much as I’d like the Giants to win (and I’ll be rooting for them too) I’m going to pick the Cowboys for the win in honor of my Uncle Jim.

Monday November 24th

Ravens (6-4) @ Saints (4-6) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Saints for the win.

********Jets (2-8) @ Bills (5-5) [TBA]*********
The Bills have had to cancel practice for the second day in a row due to a travel ban, they are also planning to move the game to another day and different stadium. With all that said I’m still picking the Bills to win.

TEAMS WITH BYES: Steelers, Panthers
