Regular Season Week 10
We are
heading into week 10 and the Rams are no longer undefeated, their perfect
season came to an end in week 9 against the Saints. Speaking of the Saints,
they just picked up Dez Bryant, so that should be interesting. I am 4-5
in my league, I actually won this week!!!! In non football news, the democrats
took control of the house, so the next two years should be at least a little
different. Time will tell. I hope you voted, I know I did. I went
9-4 on my picks, and The Giants didn’t lose!!!!!!
Let’s
recap week nine.
Raiders
@ 49ers 3-34
This
game turned out to not be evenly matched at all. The Raiders are really,
really, really bad! It was a hard game to watch. But, with Prime TV I didn’t
have to listen to Joe Buck, so it was a win win for me.
Chiefs
@ Browns 37-21
The
problem with the Chiefs is that they have so much talent Hill isn’t getting
enough touches for my fantasy team. Thankfully I had running back Duke Johnson
on the Browns and he had a heck of a game despite their loss.
Bears @
Bills 41-9
This
was another tough game to watch. I had started Charles Clay as my tight end
this week and he didn’t make it far enough into the game to make even one
point. This didn’t help the Bills either. I thought I was sure to lose yet
another week of fantasy football. If only I had started Mitch Trubisky.
Jets @
Dolphins 6-13
Sam
Darnold was the MVP for the Dolphins as he threw four interceptions during this
game, only one of which was a pick six. All the other scores were field goals,
so at least starting the Jets defense worked in my favor this week.
Lions @
Vikings 9-24
The
Vikings defense sacked Matt Stafford 10 times during this game, and now Matt
knows what it’s like to be Eli Manning. Minnesota definitely bounced back, even
though Kirk Cousins didn’t have a great game, though better than Stafford.
Sorry not sorry.
Falcons
@ Redskins 38-14
Thanks
Atlanta for taking the Redskins and their fans down a notch! Julio Jones
finally scored a touchdown, the first of this season for him. Matt Ryan and the
rest of the Falcons offense just blew through the Redskins defense in this
rout.
Buccaneers
@ Panthers 28-42
Fitzpatrick
had four touchdowns but still was way out matched against the Panthers. The
Panthers are shaping up to be pretty decent. I’m just waiting for the bottom to
fall out. It’ll happen. Give it time. But for now, enjoy the winning Carolina.
Steelers
@ Ravens 23-16
I work
at a place that shows the games on Sunday. There were a lot of Steeler fans
this particular Sunday. Steeler fans are passionate. Let’s just say I’m glad
the game didn’t go into overtime. I went home with a headache.
Texans
@ Broncos 19-17
The
Broncos had a chance to win the game with a 51-yard field goal as time expired…
But the Texans came out on top when Brandon McManus missed. I was just happy
Deandre Hopkins had a touchdown.
Chargers
@ Seahawks 25-17
I’m
surprised that the Chargers won this game. I totally expected the Seahawks to
win. Philip Rivers also had his 200th consecutive start.
Rams @
Saints 35-45
The
Saints did it. They broke the Rams perfect record. Michael Thomas had
planned on scoring at least once in this game and his touchdown celebration
proved it. He had a flip phone planted in the padding of each goal post to make
his celebration call. I don’t know who he called but he seemed to be on the
phone for a long time. Of course he drew a penalty but he didn’t care. It’s not
the first time this has happened as a celebration, Joe Horn did it one Sunday
night against the Giants in 2003. I guess Thomas wanted to pay tribute to Joe.
Packers
@ Patriots 17-31
As much
as I was hoping that the Packers would pull off a win I wasn’t surprised that
this was the outcome. Not really anything to report on, the Packers have a
mediocre team in comparison to the Pats and former seasons. That is all.
Titans @ Cowboys 28-14
Because of time travel (daylight savings), I couldn’t stay up
to finish watching this game, though I was glad to wake up Tuesday morning to
see that the Titans had defeated the Cowboys. The Titans tied it in the second
quarter never looking back. They shut the Cowboys out in the second half and
continued their lead scoring once in each quarter.
WEEK 10
Thursday,
November 8th
Panthers
[6-2] @ Steelers [5-2-1] (8:20pm FOX/NFLN/Amazon Prime Video/Twitch)
I would
love to see the Panthers win this game but I don’t think they will. Bell still
hasn’t come back to the Steelers, but they don’t seem to miss him at all.
Remember, if you too despise Joe Buck watch this game on Amazon Prime TV and
select another audio option!
Sunday,
November 11th
Lions
[3-5] @ Bears [5-3] (1pm FOX)
I am
picking the Bears to win, and because Cousins is on his bye week I am starting
Trubisky and I need him to have a really good game.
Saints
[7-1] @ Bengals [5-3] (1pm FOX)
The
Saints are on a roll, knocking off the Rams last week and I think their success
will continue this week when they take on the Bengals. The Bengals will be
without AJ Green so I don’t think there is much hope for them. I’m picking the
Saints to win this game.
Falcons
[4-4] @ Browns [2-6-1] (1pm FOX)
The
Browns have lost their way yet again. I am picking the Falcons to win this
game.
Patriots
[7-2] @ Titans [4-4] (1pm CBS)
I will
not be playing the Titans defense this week in fantasy. I am picking the
Patriots to win.
Jaguars
[3-5] @ Colts [3-5] (1pm CBS)
Both
teams haven’t been doing too well as of late but I think that the Colts might
have an edge in this game. I am picking the Colts to win.
Cardinals
[2-6] @ Chiefs [8-1] (1pm FOX)
The
Chiefs are undefeated at home and I don’t think that is going to change this week.
I am picking the Chiefs to win this game.
Bills
[2-7] @ Jets [3-6] (1pm CBS)
I will
be starting the Jets defense against the Bills and I hope they have a big game.
I’m picking the Jets to win this game.
Redskins
[5-3] @ Buccaneers [3-5] (1pm FOX)
The
Bucs could actually win this game, but I’m going to pick the Redskins. It’ll
all depend on if the Redskins can contain Fitzmagic.
Chargers
[6-2] @ Raiders [1-7] (4:05pm FOX)
I’m
picking the Chargers to win, and it shouldn’t be too difficult for them to do
it.
Dolphins
[5-4] @ Packers [3-4-1] (4:25pm CBS)
I find
it hard to believe that the Packers have only won 3 games this year, and even
harder to believe the Dolphins have won 5. With all that being said I am
picking the Packers to win at home.
Seahawks
[4-4] @ Rams [8-1] (4:25pm CBS)
The
Rams got their first loss of the season last week and now that they’ve got it
out of their system I think that they will beat the Seahawks. I’m picking the
Rams for the win.
Cowboys
[3-5] @ Eagles [4-4] (8:20pm NBC)
The Eagles just re-acquired Darron Sproles and they were
hoping to play him Sunday night but he injured his hamstring in practice
yesterday and won’t be playing this week. I’m still going to pick the Eagles to
win this game.
Monday,
November 12th
NY Giants [1-7] @ 49ers [2-7] (8:15pm ESPN)
This could be the Giants only other chance to get a win this
season. They are coming off of their bye and the 49ers are coming off a huge
win. As much as I would like to pick the Giants to win this game I’ll be even
more disappointed picking them to win and getting a pick wrong. I’d rather be
surprised at a win and a wrong pick. I’m picking the 49ers to win this game,
but really hoping to be wrong.
BYES:
Broncos, Vikings, Ravens, Texans
GO
GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
for the edit Eric!
