The Shenoa Report Week 13 '18 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
November 29, 2018
Regular Season Week 13

I can’t believe that this weekend is December. 2018 flew by, as did this football season. We are in lucky week 13. There are no more byes now so you’ll have a chance to see 16 games each week till the end of the regular season. The Giants lost this past weekend, as they probably will again this Sunday but I did win in fantasy this week and I did really well on my picks, 12-3!!!   I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you are not still eating leftovers.

Let’s recap week twelve.

Bears @ Lions 23-16
The Bears didn’t seem to need Mitch Trubisky, who was out with a sore shoulder on Thanksgiving, Chase Daniel was able to lead Chicago to victory and just like so many other Thanksgivings the Lions lost yet another game.

Redskins @ Cowboys 23-31
Amari Cooper went off scoring two touchdowns, one of them 90 yards, in Dallas’ victory over the Redskins. Of course my opponent in fantasy would have Cooper. Smh. Dallas usually wins on Thanksgiving.

Falcons @ Saints 17-31
This game was actually closer than I expected it to be. Drew Brees had four touchdowns, which is pretty normal for him as of late. The Saints have won 10 in a row and officially eliminated the Falcons from playoff contention with this win. Happy Thanksgiving Falcons fans…

Jaguars @ Bills 21-24
The big topic of conversation for this game was the touchdown-not-touchdown that turned into a massive fight leading to the ejection of Leonard Fournette of the Jags and Shaq Lawson of the Bills. Fournette had already scored two touchdowns before his ejection and the Jags might have won the game if he hadn’t lost his cool and been able to finish the game. Bills QB Josh Allen took advantage of the situation by leading the team to victory in the fourth quarter.

Browns @ Bengals 35-20
The Bengals have really fallen apart. Andy Dalton left the game and was later placed on IR for a thumb injury. The Browns, on the other hand, had a stellar game. Baker Mayfield had four touchdowns and went 19-26 on completions. The Browns were reunited with former head coach Hue Jackson as he’s now one of the coaches for the Bengals. Can we say awkward turtle.

Patriots @ Jets 27-13
In a desperate attempt to actually win one week in fantasy I picked up the Patriots defense. It paid off and for the first time in three weeks my defense didn’t give me negative points. The Patriots did what the Patriots do and dominated the Jets. Poor Jets. So glad I didn’t start the Jets defense…

NY Giants @ Eagles 22-25
The Giants won the first half, the Eagles won the second half, and once again it came down to a field goal at the end of the game to put the Eagles on top. I don’t think Pat Shurmer is a good head coach. Like I said the Giants controlled the first half and scored on consecutive drives, never punting. Saquan Barkley was a beast and had two touchdowns. Then the second half started and Saquan wasn’t even in a couple of series. Pathetic coaching. You don’t “fix” what isn’t broken.

49ers @ Buccaneers 9-27
Jamis Winston started this game for the Bucs and coincidently got them the win. I think the Bucs are going with the two quarterback method, trading Winston and Fitzpatrick back and forth to see who has less interceptions. Winston should get the start next week as he didn’t have as many interceptions as Fitzpatrick had the week before.

Seahawks @ Panthers 30-27
Panthers fans thought they had the win until their kicker, Graham Gano, missed a 52 yard field goal which set up a short drive for the Seahawks to go down, make a 31 yard field goal of their own, and win the game. It’s been a tough year for kickers.

Raiders @ Ravens 17-34
The Raiders actually led the game in the first quarter until the Ravens defense woke up. It was pretty slow going for the Raiders after that and much more typical. Ray Lewis will be happy with the Ravens defense this game.

Cardinals @ Chargers 10-45
The Chargers sure did shake off last week’s loss as they annihilated the Cardinals.

Steelers @ Broncos 17-24
This game was great fun to watch, especially if you are not a Steelers fan. It was nice to see them lose for a change, even though the best play of the game was a faked field goal from Boswell that he threw for a touchdown. Unfortunately, in my stupid fantasy league Boswell didn’t get credit for the touchdown rather a missed field goal. I am so glad I dropped Boswell weeks ago. I might have to drop this fantasy league next season too.

Dolphins @ Colts 24-27
The Colts have won five in a row now despite Andrew Luck’s two interceptions during this game. It was Colts Adam Vinatieri who kicked the game winning field goal as time expired to give Indianapolis the win.

Packers @ Vikings 17-24
This was another fun game to watch, especially because I started Kirk Cousins as my QB this week in fantasy. Cousins didn’t disappoint but I’m sure Packer fans, as well as Aaron Rodgers, are really disappointed with this season. The Packers never seemed to be able to get things going during this game.
Titans @ Texans
I’m also glad that I didn’t start the Titans defense this week. The Texans seemed to walk all over the Titans offensively and defensively. A rather entertaining game to watch and I finally got a win in fantasy thanks to DeAndre Hopkins and Ka’imi Faibairn.

WEEK 13

Thursday, November 29th

Saints [10-1] @ Cowboys [6-5] (8:20pm FOX/NFLN)
I’m pretty sure that the Saints will win this game. I will be shocked and amazed otherwise. I’m picking the Saints.

Sunday, December 2nd

Ravens [6-5] @ Falcons [4-7] (1pm CBS)
I’m picking the Ravens to win this game even though they have trouble on the road; the Falcons have just as much trouble at home.

Broncos [5-6] @ Bengals [5-6] (1pm CBS)
I don’t think that the Bengals have a chance without Andy Dalton. I’m picking the Broncos to win this game.

Rams [10-1] @ Lions [4-7] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking the Rams to win this game. They should be fresh off their bye and ready to go.

Cardinals [2-9] @ Packers [4-6-1] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking the Packers to win this game. They haven’t had a good win in awhile so the Cardinals should boost their spirits.

Bills [4-7] @ Dolphins [5-6] (1pm CBS)
I’m picking the Dolphins to win this game depending on which Bills team shows up. The Bills won last week so they probably won’t win this week.

Bears  [8-3] @ Giants [3-8] (1pm FOX)
Yikes. Sorry Gmen I’m picking the Bears to win this game. I’ll be rooting for the Giants and also thankful that I don’t have to work on Sunday so I can watch the game at home. Football Shenoa shouldn’t be in public during this game, I imagine it’ll be ugly; the game and Football Shenoa. I think it’s time to get the knitting needles out.

Panthers [6-5] @ Buccaneers [4-7] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking the Panthers to win this game even though they are 1-4 on the road and the Bucs are 3-2 at home. I think the Panthers are going to bounce back from their loss to the Seahawks. Gano will probably kick the game winning field goal.

Colts [6-5] @ Jaguars [3-8] (1pm CBS)
I’m going to pick the Colts to win this game especially because Leonard Fournette has been suspended one game after the fight in Buffalo.

Browns [4-6-1] @ Texans [7-3] (1pm CBS)
I’m going to pick the Texans to win this game but I imagine it’ll be a fun close game to watch.

Jets [3-8] @ Titans [5-5] (4:05pm CBS)
I’m going with the Titans this week against the Jets. I have both defenses but I think I’m going to bench them both…

Chiefs [9-2] @ Raiders [2-9] (4:05pm CBS)
The Chiefs are also fresh off their bye so I will be picking them to win this game. I would be picking them regardless; I mean they are playing the Raiders.

Vikings [6-4-1] @ Patriots [8-3] (4:25pm FOX)
The Vikings just might upset the Pats at home, and that would be awesome. That being said I’m going to pick the Patriots to win.

49ers [2-9] @ Seahawks [6-5] (4:25pm FOX)
I’m picking the Seahawks to win this game. I’m starting Seattle’s defense and I really hope they don’t let me down.

Chargers [8-3] @ Steelers [7-3-1]  (8:20pm NBC)
The Steelers are pretty unhappy about losing to the Broncos. I hope they lose two in a row. I think that the Chargers can win this game but I’m going to pick the Steelers to win.
Monday, December 3rd
Redskins [6-5] @ Eagles [5-6] (8:15pm ESPN)
With Alex Smith in I would pick the Redskins, but because he is out for the rest of the season I’m going to have to pick the Eagles to win this game.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Shenoa Report Week 12 '18

The Shenoa Report
November 22, 2018
Regular Season Week 12

Happy Thanksgiving!!!! This is one of my most favorite days of the year. Family, food, and FOOTBALL!!!! Week 12 just so happens to be all divisional games, which makes it extra fun.  There are sure to be some good upsets. Speaking of upsets, I lost again last week, by 4 points, after a 36-point comeback, and am 4-7 in my league. (I feel like I just copy and paste this sentence week to week and change the loss number) I went 6-7 on my picks, the worst yet, but the Giants won so everything seems to be ok.

Let’s recap week eleven.

Packers @ Seahawks 24-27
This was a really fun game to watch. The Packers put up a fight but it wasn’t enough to win this game, just like the rest of their season.

Cowboys @ Falcons 22-19
Not much happened during the first half of this game. It was a field goal at the end of the game to give the Cowboys a win. A lot of games this week were decided by a field goal at the end of regulation, the Cowboys aren’t special.

Panthers @ Lions 19-20
The Panthers could have won this game with a little over a minute left in the game but Cam failed to complete a 2-point conversion giving the Lions a win. I mean, they could have gone for the field goal and went into overtime…

Titans @ Colts 10-38
I’ve noticed that if I play a particular defense it’s a sure pass for the other team to score a ton of points. I started the Titans defense… because of the Titans defense I lost this week in fantasy. -6 points. You shouldn’t be able to get negative points in fantasy. Damnit!

Buccaneers @ NY Giants 35-38
YAAAAAAAAY GMEN!!!!!! OBJ has been correct twice. They now have two consecutive wins. Speaking of OBJ, he was on point, catching ridiculous balls and making touchdowns. Saquon Barkley also had a phenomenal day with three touchdowns. Eli was near perfect and the defense really stepped up creating four turnovers.  It’s nice to see the Giants play like a professional team and not a dysfunctional high school JV scrimmage.

Texans @ Redskins 23-21
The Redskins lost this game as well as their QB. Alex Smith suffered a broken leg eerily familiar to Joe Theismen; same broken bones, same date, same final score. Weird right? The Redskins could have won with a field goal at the end of regulation but the ball fell short. The Texans, on the other hand, have won seven straight.

Steelers  @ Jaguars 20-16
The Steelers didn’t win this game, the Jags lost it. They had dominated the whole game until the last minute and Big Ben being, well, Big Ben stretched it in for a game winning rushing touchdown.

Bengals @ Ravens 21-24
With Joe Flacco out, Lamar Jackson started his first NFL game and ran for 117 yards; apparently no one told him he was the quarterback. It all worked out and the Ravens won the game.

Raiders @ Cardinals 23-21
I can’t believe the Raiders actually won. I really don’t have much to say about this.  It came down to a field goal at the end of regulation.

Broncos @ Chargers 23-22
The Broncos spoiled the Chargers win streak. This game, like so many others this weekend, ended with a field goal as time expired, giving the Broncos a win.

Eagles @ Saints 7-48
This game! Hah! The Eagles are the Super Bowl champions, but they don’t seem to be playing like that anymore. It’s safe to say that the Saints marched all over the Eagles.

Vikings @ Bears 20-25
Kahlil Mack and the rest of the Bears defense dominated the game, snuffing the Vikings fun. They had a number of sacks, a fumble recovery and a pick six. Da Bears are up and coming. The bad news is that their quarterback, Mitch Trubisky, was injured during the game and unlikely to play on Thanksgiving.

Chiefs @ Rams 51-54
This was a shoot out for sure, with three defensive touchdowns.  The score was the highest combined point total in football history. Ridiculous, but fun to watch.  The Rams came out on top because their defense stepped up and intercepted Mahomes in the final minute of the game to seal the deal.

I didn’t win in fantasy, I really didn’t do well on my picks, but at least the Giants won.

WEEK 12

Thursday, November 22nd

Bears [7-3] @ Lions [4-6] (12:30pm CBS)
The Lions always play on thanksgiving, it’s a tradition. It is also a tradition for them to lose. Trubisky is doubtful as starting QB for the Bears but I still think that they will win.

Redskins [6-4] @ Cowboys [5-5] (4:30pm FOX)
The Redskins are injury ridden and without Alex Smith. They have Colt McCoy starting as QB. As much as I want this game to end in a tie I’m picking the Cowboys to win.
Falcons [4-6] @ Saints [9-1] (8:20pm NBC)
I’m picking the Saints for the win; it’s pretty much a no brainer.

Sunday, November 25th

Jaguars [3-7] @ Bills [3-7] (1pm CBS)
I have no idea what Bills team is going to show up week to week.  I don’t think that the Bills will win two in a row; I’m picking the Jags to win.

Browns [3-6-1] @ Bengals [5-5] (1pm CBS)
I’m picking the Bengals to win. A.J. Green might actually be back.

Patriots [7-3] @ Jets [3-7] (1pm CBS)
The Jets seem to be the Pats kryptonite but I’m still going to pick the Pats to win.

NY Giants [3-7] @ Eagles [4-6] (1pm FOX)
Again, I think that the Giants can win this game; they’ve won two in a row. I’ll be rooting for them but I’m not going to pick them to win. Go GMEN!!!!!!

49ers [2-8] @ Buccaneers [3-7] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking Fitzmagic and the Bucs to beat the 49ers.

Seahawks  [5-5] @ Panthers [6-4] (1pm FOX)
I don’t think the Panthers are going to come back from that loss last week. I’m going to pick the Seahawks to win.
Raiders [2-8] @ Ravens [5-5] (1pm CBS)
I’m picking the Ravens to win this game. I’m pretty sure the Raiders can’t win two in a row.

Cardinals [2-8] @ Chargers [7-3] (4:05pm FOX)
The Chargers won’t lose two in a row; I’m picking them to beat the Cardinals.

Steelers [7-2-1] @ Broncos [4-6] (4:25pm CBS)
I’d like to see the Broncos win, but I think that the Steelers take this game.

Dolphins [5-5] @ Colts [5-5] (4:25pm CBS)
I’m picking the Colts to win at home. I have no good reason for this pick.
Packers [4-5-1] @ Vikings [5-4-1]  (8:20pm NBC)
I’m picking the Vikings to win, they’ve been struggling recently but I think they are going to bounce back.

Monday, November 26th

Titans [5-5] @ Texans [7-3] (8:15pm ESPN)
I’m picking the Texans to win; I no longer have high hopes for the Titans.

BYES: Rams, Chiefs

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Week 11 '18 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
November 15, 2018
Regular Season Week 11

They say, on any given day any given football team can win. This past weekend was one of those days. Notable and very unexpected outcomes include but are not limited to; the Pats losing miserably to the Titans, the Bills throttling the Jets, and the Browns killing the Falcons. On that note the NY Football Giants also won!!!!!!!! Finally, in other news, Le’veon Bell did not report to the Steelers and forfeited his chance to play this season. Were you one of those “lucky” ones to draft Bell?  For your sake, I hope not. We are now heading into week 11 and even though the Jets defense was ranked number two last week, they blew it and in doing so I lost again in fantasy, terribly, and am 4-6 in my league. I went 9-5 on my picks, and The Giants didn’t lose!!!!!!

Let’s recap week ten.

Panthers @ Steelers 21-52
Of course my opponent started Big Ben and of course he had 5 flippin touchdowns. Ahhhhhhh. In a way, my fantasy week matchup was over after the first game. I don’t think the Panthers knew they were playing on Thursday night. It was a terrible game in my opinion.

Lions @ Bears 22-34
I’m glad I started Trubisky; he threw for 355 yards and had three touchdowns. Unfortunately after Thursday night I needed five touchdowns from him to keep up.  It didn’t help that I had benched Robinson, knowing he was coming off a groin injury, as he had over 100 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Instead, I started Jones Jr of the Lions who only had one touchdown and left the game early with an injury… damn.

Saints @ Bengals 51-14
Drew Brees moved into second place passing Brett Favre on the career list after his three touchdown game. The Saints ripped through the Bengals like it was no big deal. With their defense improving New Orleans is becoming a very dangerous team.

Falcons @ Browns 16-28
Baker Mayfield threw three touchdown passes, a career high, during the win over the Falcons. I know, the win surprised me too. Julio Jones found the end zone again for the Falcons but it wasn’t enough to beat the Browns, who got their third win this season.

Patriots @ Titans 10-34
I should have played the Titans defense. Who knew? The Titans stunned the Patriots, and the rest of the nation, this past Sunday when they dominated New England at home. Brady was without a touchdown and completed only half of his passes. It was amazing to watch, especially with a Patriots fan at the end of the bar.

Jaguars @ Colts 26-29
Andrew Luck threw three touchdowns in the first half and that was enough to win the game. Even though the Colts didn’t score anything in the second half they held off the Jags who tried to come back in the 4th quarter.

Cardinals @ Chiefs 14-26
Mahomes only had two touchdown passes in this win over the Cardinals. Thankfully they were both to Tyreek Hill, who is on my fantasy team. The Chiefs simply outplayed the Cardinals, which was expected.

Bills @ Jets 41-10
The Jets number two ranked defense this week played like the 32nd. Did you know you can get negative points in my fantasy league? Thanks to the Jets defense I got -6… This game put the nail in the coffin in my loss. Matt Barkley (who?) the fourth string QB that was signed just days before the game sparked the Bills offense and gave them the win that no one saw coming. I mean the Bills win was almost as surprising as the Titans.

Redskins @ Buccaneers 16-3
The Bucs only punted once and put up over 500 yards yet the Redskins were the ones who won the game. Doesn’t make sense does it? It helped that the Redskins had four takeaways, three of which were scoring opportunities and Alex Smith didn’t throw any interceptions, just one touchdown at the end of the game.

Chargers @ Raiders 20-6
In this weird week 10 where there were so many upsets at least the Raiders stayed true to their losing streak. The Chargers won this game easily, just like everyone expected.

Dolphins @ Packers 12-31
The Packers finally got back into the swing of things knocking off the Dolphins quite easily. Aaron Jones ran for a career high of 145 yards and two touchdowns to help the Packers seal the deal.

Seahawks @ Rams 31-36
This was a good, close game to watch. The Seahawks put up a fight but in the end it was the Rams to pull out the win.

Cowboys @ Eagles 27-20
This is another game I was shocked at the outcome. The Cowboys and Eagles have a tied record after the Cowboys victory on Sunday night. Ezekiel Elliott had over 150 yards rushing and scored the winning touchdown of the game. The Eagles continue their Super Bowl hangover.

NY Giants @ 49ers 27-23
The Giants win! The Giants win!!!! I still can’t believe it. It was amazing. Eli was protected in the pocket, OBJ had some really great catches, and Engram didn’t drop the ball too much. OBJ has said that they are going to win the rest of their games to have a record of 8-7 by the end of the season. Well, they are that much closer with this win. I’m proud of them. Eli had three touchdown passes and no interceptions. OBJ has two touchdowns and Sterling Shepard had the go ahead touchdown to win the game.  I wore my football socks, football leggings, Eli Manning jersey and NY Giants earrings to help the team. I didn’t know if it would be the last time Eli would start a game and I wanted to make sure I paid tribute to him. I think after this win he’ll start again which makes me happy.
I didn’t win in fantasy, I didn’t do well on my picks, but at least the Giants won.

WEEK 11

Thursday, November 15th

Packers [4-4-1] @ Seahawks [4-5] (8:20pm FOX/NFLN/Amazon Prime Video/Twitch)
This seems to be a pretty evenly matched game. The Packers have yet to win on the road, but the Seahawks have only won once at home. I’m going to pick the Seahawks to win, but I’m not entirely sure about this pick. Remember, if you too despise Joe Buck watch this game on Amazon Prime TV and select another audio option!

Sunday, November 18th

Cowboys [4-5] @ Falcons [4-5] (1pm FOX)
The Cowboys should be able to win this game, especially after coming off a big win against the Eagles. On the other hand the Falcons are trying to bounce back after a humiliating loss to the Browns. Does their downward spiral continue? I’m going to pick the Falcons to win.

Panthers [6-3] @ Lions [3-6] (1pm FOX)
Both teams lost last week so I am going to pick the Panthers to win this game.

Titans [5-4] @ Colts [4-5] (1pm CBS)
I’m going to pick the Titans to win this game unless last week was a complete fluke.

Buccaneers [3-6] @ NY Giants [2-7] (1pm FOX)
OBJ thinks that the Giants will win out. I think that the Giants can win this game but I said that I wouldn’t pick them to win until they’ve won at least two in a row. Therefore I’m picking the Bucs to win in hopes of a Giants win. JPP will be trying to get to Eli Manning this time in his reunion with the Giants.  I liked it better when JPP was on our defense.

Texans [6-3] @ Redskins [6-3] (1pm CBS)
The Texans are coming off of their bye week. They should be refreshed and ready to go. My head says the Redskins will win and my heart is going with the Texans. I’m picking the Redskins to win but I’m not happy about it.

Steelers  [6-2-1] @ Jaguars [3-6] (1pm CBS)
Last year the Jags beat up on the Steelers, I don’t think this will be the case this time around. I’m picking the Steelers to win this game even though they will not have Bell for the rest of the season.

Bengals [5-4] @ Ravens [4-5] (1pm CBS)
I’m picking the Ravens to win this game. But, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bengals upset them. Any given Sunday…

Raiders [1-8] @ Cardinals [2-7] (4:05pm CBS)
I’m picking the Cardinals to get their third win of the season.

Broncos [3-6] @ Chargers [7-2] (4:05pm CBS)
I’m picking the Chargers to win, they are actually pretty good this season, and flying a little bit under the radar.

Eagles [4-5] @ Saints [8-1] (4:25pm FOX)
I’m picking the Saints to win this game. This should be a fun game to watch.

Vikings [5-3-1] @ Bears [6-3] (8:20pm NBC)
The Vikings are coming off their bye but the Bears are playing some good football right now. The Bears just might beat the Vikings. I think I’m going to have to pick the Bears to win.

Monday, November 19th

Chiefs [9-1] @ Rams [9-1] (8:15pm ESPN)
This game was supposed to be played in Mexico City but because of field conditions it has been moved to LA and will be a real home game for the Rams. I am picking the Rams to win, but only because they are at home.

BYES: Bills, Browns, Dolphins, Patriots, Jets, 49ers

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Week 10 '18 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
November 8, 2018
Regular Season Week 10

We are heading into week 10 and the Rams are no longer undefeated, their perfect season came to an end in week 9 against the Saints. Speaking of the Saints, they just picked up Dez Bryant, so that should be interesting.  I am 4-5 in my league, I actually won this week!!!! In non football news, the democrats took control of the house, so the next two years should be at least a little different. Time will tell. I hope you voted, I know I did.   I went 9-4 on my picks, and The Giants didn’t lose!!!!!!

Let’s recap week nine.

Raiders @ 49ers 3-34
This game turned out to not be evenly matched at all. The Raiders are really, really, really bad! It was a hard game to watch. But, with Prime TV I didn’t have to listen to Joe Buck, so it was a win win for me.

Chiefs @ Browns 37-21
The problem with the Chiefs is that they have so much talent Hill isn’t getting enough touches for my fantasy team. Thankfully I had running back Duke Johnson on the Browns and he had a heck of a game despite their loss.

Bears @ Bills 41-9
This was another tough game to watch. I had started Charles Clay as my tight end this week and he didn’t make it far enough into the game to make even one point. This didn’t help the Bills either. I thought I was sure to lose yet another week of fantasy football. If only I had started Mitch Trubisky.

Jets @ Dolphins 6-13
Sam Darnold was the MVP for the Dolphins as he threw four interceptions during this game, only one of which was a pick six. All the other scores were field goals, so at least starting the Jets defense worked in my favor this week.

Lions @ Vikings  9-24
The Vikings defense sacked Matt Stafford 10 times during this game, and now Matt knows what it’s like to be Eli Manning. Minnesota definitely bounced back, even though Kirk Cousins didn’t have a great game, though better than Stafford. Sorry not sorry.

Falcons @ Redskins 38-14
Thanks Atlanta for taking the Redskins and their fans down a notch! Julio Jones finally scored a touchdown, the first of this season for him. Matt Ryan and the rest of the Falcons offense just blew through the Redskins defense in this rout.

Buccaneers @ Panthers 28-42
Fitzpatrick had four touchdowns but still was way out matched against the Panthers. The Panthers are shaping up to be pretty decent. I’m just waiting for the bottom to fall out. It’ll happen. Give it time. But for now, enjoy the winning Carolina.

Steelers @ Ravens 23-16
I work at a place that shows the games on Sunday. There were a lot of Steeler fans this particular Sunday. Steeler fans are passionate. Let’s just say I’m glad the game didn’t go into overtime. I went home with a headache.

Texans @ Broncos 19-17
The Broncos had a chance to win the game with a 51-yard field goal as time expired… But the Texans came out on top when Brandon McManus missed. I was just happy Deandre Hopkins had a touchdown.

Chargers @ Seahawks 25-17
I’m surprised that the Chargers won this game. I totally expected the Seahawks to win. Philip Rivers also had his 200th consecutive start.

Rams @ Saints  35-45
The Saints did it. They broke the Rams perfect record.  Michael Thomas had planned on scoring at least once in this game and his touchdown celebration proved it. He had a flip phone planted in the padding of each goal post to make his celebration call. I don’t know who he called but he seemed to be on the phone for a long time. Of course he drew a penalty but he didn’t care. It’s not the first time this has happened as a celebration, Joe Horn did it one Sunday night against the Giants in 2003. I guess Thomas wanted to pay tribute to Joe.

Packers @ Patriots 17-31
As much as I was hoping that the Packers would pull off a win I wasn’t surprised that this was the outcome. Not really anything to report on, the Packers have a mediocre team in comparison to the Pats and former seasons. That is all.

Titans @ Cowboys 28-14
Because of time travel (daylight savings), I couldn’t stay up to finish watching this game, though I was glad to wake up Tuesday morning to see that the Titans had defeated the Cowboys. The Titans tied it in the second quarter never looking back. They shut the Cowboys out in the second half and continued their lead scoring once in each quarter.

WEEK 10

Thursday, November 8th

Panthers [6-2] @ Steelers [5-2-1] (8:20pm FOX/NFLN/Amazon Prime Video/Twitch)
I would love to see the Panthers win this game but I don’t think they will. Bell still hasn’t come back to the Steelers, but they don’t seem to miss him at all. Remember, if you too despise Joe Buck watch this game on Amazon Prime TV and select another audio option!

Sunday, November 11th

Lions [3-5] @ Bears [5-3] (1pm FOX)
I am picking the Bears to win, and because Cousins is on his bye week I am starting Trubisky and I need him to have a really good game.

Saints [7-1] @ Bengals [5-3] (1pm FOX)
The Saints are on a roll, knocking off the Rams last week and I think their success will continue this week when they take on the Bengals. The Bengals will be without AJ Green so I don’t think there is much hope for them. I’m picking the Saints to win this game.

Falcons [4-4] @ Browns [2-6-1] (1pm FOX)
The Browns have lost their way yet again. I am picking the Falcons to win this game.

Patriots [7-2] @ Titans [4-4] (1pm CBS)
I will not be playing the Titans defense this week in fantasy. I am picking the Patriots to win.

Jaguars [3-5] @ Colts [3-5] (1pm CBS)
Both teams haven’t been doing too well as of late but I think that the Colts might have an edge in this game. I am picking the Colts to win.

Cardinals  [2-6] @ Chiefs [8-1] (1pm FOX)
The Chiefs are undefeated at home and I don’t think that is going to change this week. I am picking the Chiefs to win this game.

Bills [2-7] @ Jets [3-6] (1pm CBS)
I will be starting the Jets defense against the Bills and I hope they have a big game. I’m picking the Jets to win this game.

Redskins [5-3] @ Buccaneers [3-5] (1pm FOX)
The Bucs could actually win this game, but I’m going to pick the Redskins. It’ll all depend on if the Redskins can contain Fitzmagic.

Chargers [6-2] @ Raiders [1-7] (4:05pm FOX)
I’m picking the Chargers to win, and it shouldn’t be too difficult for them to do it.

Dolphins [5-4] @ Packers [3-4-1] (4:25pm CBS)
I find it hard to believe that the Packers have only won 3 games this year, and even harder to believe the Dolphins have won 5. With all that being said I am picking the Packers to win at home.

Seahawks [4-4] @ Rams [8-1] (4:25pm CBS)
The Rams got their first loss of the season last week and now that they’ve got it out of their system I think that they will beat the Seahawks. I’m picking the Rams for the win.

Cowboys [3-5] @ Eagles [4-4] (8:20pm NBC)
The Eagles just re-acquired Darron Sproles and they were hoping to play him Sunday night but he injured his hamstring in practice yesterday and won’t be playing this week. I’m still going to pick the Eagles to win this game.
Monday, November 12th

NY Giants [1-7] @ 49ers [2-7] (8:15pm ESPN)
This could be the Giants only other chance to get a win this season. They are coming off of their bye and the 49ers are coming off a huge win. As much as I would like to pick the Giants to win this game I’ll be even more disappointed picking them to win and getting a pick wrong. I’d rather be surprised at a win and a wrong pick. I’m picking the 49ers to win this game, but really hoping to be wrong.
BYES: Broncos, Vikings, Ravens, Texans

The Shenoa Report Week 9 '18 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
November 1, 2018
Regular Season Week 9

We are heading into week 9 and the Rams are still undefeated. I am 3-5 in my league, I hate losing. In non football news, the Boston Red Sox won the World Series so baseball is over for the year.  I went 12-2 on my picks, best of the season for me, and The Giants have their bye this week so they can’t lose!!!!!!

Let’s recap week eight.

Dolphins @ Texans 23-42
Eric figured out that if you watch the game through Amazon Prime TV you can pick different commentators, therefore we now listen to the European commentators instead of Joe Buck and it’s much more delightful and entertaining. If you have an aversion to Joe Buck like I do, give Amazon Prime TV a try! As for this game, Deshaun Watson had 5 touchdown passes, a career high. And the Dolphins have lost four out of their last five games.

Eagles @ Jaguars 24-18
You may or may not know that I work at a winery. We have the Sunday Ticket and show Sunday football. I start work at 9:30 on Sunday morning, so it was nice to be setting up with the game on. For a minute I thought that the Jags might even pull off a win to keep their record perfect in London, but it wasn’t meant to be and the Jags lost the game.
Jets @ Bears 10-24
Mitch Trubisky made a mockery out of the Jets defense, which is kind of ironic because I was starting the Jets defense this week in fantasy, and the Bears were short-handed this game, due to injuries.

Buccaneers @ Bengals 34-37
After Winston’s fourth interception he was benched and Fitzmagic came in to try to save the day and the game. But, the damage had already been done and the Bengals won with a field goal in the last seconds of the game.

Seahawks @ Lions 28-14
I knew I shouldn’t have picked the Lions to win this game. What was I thinking? At least the Seahawks are back to above .500 on the season.

Broncos @ Chiefs 23-30
Mahomes threw for over 300 yards and had four touchdowns but none to Hill so that sucks, also my opponent had Sammy Walkins on his team who had over 100 yards and two touchdowns. Fantasy football has failed to meet my expectations this season.

Redskins @ NY Giants 20-13
I feel like a broken record. The Giants don’t have an offensive line to protect Eli, so of course they are losing games. Eli got sacked 7 times this game bringing the season total to 31 which is a league high and not a stat you want. He also had two interceptions. These are very dark times for the Giants and their fans. I miss the good ol’ days where we actually had an O line that protected Eli.

Browns @ Steelers 18-33
After this game the Browns fired their head coach and offensive coordinator. I guess the Browns are more dysfunctional than the Giants. That was the Giants last year. The Steelers aren’t really missing Le’veon Bell anymore; James Conner is having a Bell like season as their number one running back and scored twice during this game.

Ravens @ Panthers 21-36
This was one of two picks I got wrong this past week. I am shocked that the Panthers won, and happy since Ray Lewis didn’t have a lot to talk about on Inside the NFL. Don’t get me wrong, he still talked a lot but it wasn’t about a Ravens win.

Colts @ Raiders 42-28
I’d like the Giants to play the Raiders, that way they might actually win another game this season. The Colts trampled the Raiders, just like every other team the Raiders have played this year. Andrew Luck looks like he’s back to his old ways, throwing touchdowns left and right.

Packers @ Rams 27-29
The Packers had a chance to win this game until Montgomery fumbled the ball trying to return a kickoff at the end of the game. He was supposed to take a knee and not take it out. He was traded after the game. Gurley fantasy fans were also not happy with the end of the game because he had a chance to score a touchdown as time expired after the turnover and sat down on the one yard line. No touchdown for Gurley but the Rams still won the game.

49ers @ Cardinals 15-18
These teams were equally matched and the Cardinals edged the 49ers for their second win of the season, and Larry Fitzgerald spiked the ball in the end zone after scoring a touchdown for the first time in his career.

Saints @ Vikings 30-20
There would be no miracle for the Vikings this time as they played the Saints. The Saints dominated the game even though Drew Brees had his first interception of the season. It helped that the Vikings didn’t score at all in the third quarter of the game.

Patriots @ Bills 25-6
The first three quarters of this game were a battle of the kickers, and a surprisingly close game. It wasn’t until the fourth quarter that the Pats took over winning handley.

WEEK 9

Thursday, November 1st

Raiders [1-6] @ 49ers [1-7] (8:20pm FOX/NFLN/Amazon Prime Video/Twitch)
This will be another very evenly matched game, and one team should get their second win of the season, if the game doesn’t end in a tie. I’m going to pick the 49ers to win this game. Remember, if you too despise Joe Buck watch this game on Amazon Prime TV and select another audio option!

Sunday, November 4th

Chiefs [7-1] @ Browns [2-5-1] (1pm CBS)
I’m going out on a limb and picking the Chiefs to win this game. [Insert sarcasm here] Browns head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley have been let go and now interim head coach Gregg Williams has a pretty uphill battle ahead of him as he faces the Chiefs.

Bears [4-3] @ Bills [2-6] (1pm FOX)
I think the Bears win this game, sorry Bills fans.

Jets [3-5] @ Dolphins [4-4] (1pm CBS)
I’m starting the Jets defense so I need this to be a low scoring game. I think the Jets could win if their quarterback doesn’t throw it to the Dolphins. That being said I’m picking the Dolphins to win.

Lions [3-4] @ Vikings [4-3-1] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking the Vikings to bounce back and win this game.

Falcons [3-4] @ Redskins [5-2] (1pm FOX)
I’d like to see the Falcons upset the Redskins but I don’t think that’s likely. I’m picking the Redskins to win this game.

Buccaneers  [3-4] @ Panthers [5-2] (1pm FOX)
Fitzpatrick should start this game for the Bucs, but I’m still picking the Panthers to win this game.

Steelers [4-2-1] @ Ravens [4-4] (1pm CBS)
As much as I’d like to see the Ravens beat the Steelers I’m going to pick the Steelers to win this game. No good reason, other than I have a feeling.

Texans [5-3] @ Broncos [3-5] (4:05pm CBS)
The Texans have looked really good the past few weeks and the Broncos, not so much. I’m going to pick the Texans to beat the Broncos at home.

Chargers [5-2] @ Seahawks [4-3] (4:05pm CBS)
The Seahawks have only played two games at home this season, I’m going to pick them to win at home this week. The Chargers may struggle a little bit in colder weather, as it’s not supposed to be nice in Seattle Sunday.

Rams [8-0] @ Saints [6-1] (4:25pm FOX)
The Saints might just be the team to snap the Rams perfect season. With that being said i’m still going to pick the Rams to win this game.

Packers [3-3-1] @ Patriots [6-2] (8:20pm NBC)
I’d like to see the Packers beat the Pats but I just don’t think it’s very likely. Maybe if they were playing in Green Bay it would be more likely, but they are playing in Foxboro. I’m picking the Pats to win this game.
Monday, November 5th

Titans [3-4] @ Cowboys [3-4] (8:15pm ESPN)
Man, I’d like to see the Titans win this game, and I’ll be rooting for them too, but I’m picking the Cowboys because I’m a realist.

BYES: Bengals, Colts, Giants, Eagles, Cardinals, Jaguars
