The Shenoa Report Week 16

The Shenoa Report
December 26, 2010
Regular Season Week 16

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to my lovely readers!!!!!! I’ve put this report off for as long as I possibly could. This week I am writing you from my hometown in Dryden NY. I am hiding out in my old bedroom at my parent’s house hoping to get this done.  I still have a sick pit in my stomach from the game last week. (You all know which one I am talking about … no need to go into details) BUT this is a new week with new matchups and different teams. Let us leave the past in the past and look ahead to the future.

San Francisco @ San Diego 7-34
Despite the 49ers upset last week they weren’t a challenge for San Diego Thursday night. I would have picked the Chargers to win anyway. San Diego is 8-6 and San Francisco is 5-9

New Orleans @ Baltimore 24-30
Baltimore came out on top. New Orleans is 10-4 and 2nd in the NFC South. Baltimore is 2nd in the AFC North at 10-4

Arizona @ Carolina 12-19
Even with this Carolina win the Panthers are still very safe at the bottom of the NFL and have pretty much secured that first pick in the draft. Both teams are at the bottom of their divisions. Arizona is 4-10 and Carolina is 2-12

Cleveland @ Cincinnati 17-19
I really thought that the Browns would have won this one… Cleveland is 5-9 and the Bengals are at the bottom of the AFC North at 3-11

Washington @ Dallas 30-33
Washington came so close but couldn’t get it done.  Washington and Dallas are both 5-9 and at the bottom of the NFC East

Jacksonville @ Indianapolis 24-34
With this win the Colts are back at the top of the AFC South!!!! Great win Indi! Both teams are now 8-6.

Buffalo @ Miami 17-14
Buffalo not only won the game but, with that win took Miami out of any playoff hopes. Way to go Buffalo!  Buffalo is now 4-10 and Miami is 7-7

Philadelphia @ New York Giants 38-31
Words cannot express how I felt about this game. Just thinking about it makes me feel nauseated.  The abridged version is the Giants fell apart in the last seven minutes of the game and handed the win over to the Eagles. Heart breaking.
The Giants are now 9-5 and the Eagles lead the NFC East at 10-4

Kansas City @ Saint Louis 27-13
With this win KC is now 9-5 and still at the top of the AFC West. Saint Louis is still at the top of the NFC West at 6-8 even with this loss.

Detroit @ Tampa Bay 23-20
How about those Lions! I bet the Bucs didn’t see that coming. I know I didn’t. Detroit is now 4-10 and Tampa Bay is 8-6.

Houston @ Tennessee 17-31
Tennessee walked all over Houston and I am sure that my cousin Abby was very happy about this.  Tennessee is now 6-8 and Houston is now 5-9 and at the bottom of the AFC South

Atlanta @ Seattle 34-18
No surprise that Atlanta won this game. The Falcons have clinched a wild card with this win and are 12-2 on the season. Seattle is 6-8.

Denver @ Oakland 23-39
Tebow had a good game but the Broncos couldn’t pull out the win. Oakland is 7-7 Denver is now 3-11 and at the bottom of the AFC West.

New York Jets @ Pittsburgh 22-17
This was a GREAT game! I’m so glad that the Jets were able to hang on for the win. The Jets are 10-4 and the Steelers are 11-4 and have clinched a wild card

Green Bay @ New England 27-31
This was a good close game. I wish the outcome had been different but those Patriots are damn good.  Green Bay is 8-6 and New England is 12-2 and have clinched a wild card spot.

Chicago @ Minnesota 40-14
Chicago killed Minnesota. Brett Favre was knocked out of the game, hopefully it’ll be his last. Chicago is 10-4 and has clinched the NFC North division. Minnesota is 5-9

WEEK 16

Every game this week is a big game. The end is near. …

Carolina @ Pittsburgh 3-27
This isn’t a surprise. I think everyone thought that the Steelers would win… and they did.

Dallas @ Arizona 26-27
Merry Christmas Cardinal fans! It was a Christmas Miracle. I’m going to be honest I didn’t think Arizona would win but I am oh so glad they did.  Feely is a beast!

New England @ Buffalo
My heart says Buffalo! I’ve got some friends at the game today and I’ll be watching it with my dad. Lets Go Buffalo!!!! (I like the way that sounds)

New York Jets @ Chicago
Man I’d like to see the Jets win today but if I had to pick 2 NY teams to win today the Jets wouldn’t be one of them, I’d rather see the Bills and the Giants win. I mean I’d love to actually have all three teams win. …

Baltimore @ Cleveland
I am picking Baltimore to win this one.

Washington @ Jacksonville
McNabb is now 3rd string… sad. I’d like to see Washington win but it’s not likely.

Tennessee @ Kansas City
I’m pretty sure KC has this one.

Detroit @ Miami
I’d like to see the Lions win another one.

San Francisco @ Saint Louis
I’m going with the Rams

San Diego @ Cincinnati
I think its pretty safe to say that the Chargers will win this one.

Houston @ Denver
I’d like to see Tebow and Denver win this one.

Indianapolis @ Oakland
Obviously I’m going with the Colts

New York Giants @ Green Bay
With this win the Giants will clinch the playoffs. I’m taking the GMEN!

Seattle @ Tampa Bay
I’m going with the Bucs

Minnesota @ Philadelphia
Favre is doubtful but really what does that mean. There is a blizzard headed towards Philly so they may not play this game until Tuesday. Obviously I’d like to see the Vikings win this one… we’ll see what happens.

New Orleans @ Atlanta
I’d like to see an upset in Atlanta. I’m going with New Orleans.

GO GIANTS AND GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!

The Shenoa Report Week 15

The Shenoa Report
December 19, 2010
Regular Season Week 15

It’s really sad to think that the season is almost over. Just a few more weeks and then what? Let us all embrace football now when we can. I didn’t get my report out in time for the Thursday night game and once again I hope you understand. I started writing this Friday at naptime in my classroom and the little boy sleeping next to me was wearing a #17 Jake Delhomme Panthers jersey and I thought, hey why not start the Shenoa report right now since I don’t seem to have a lot of extra time these days.
Now its super close to game time Sunday afternoon and I am in Cleveland on my Northeast Christmas Tour. OK lets take a look at the craziness that ensued last week.

Indianapolis @ Tennessee 30-28
The score makes it look like it was a close game but in my opinion there was no way the Titans we going to win this game. The Colts were just gentlemen at the end of the game letting Tennessee score. Peyton finally looked really great throwing 2 TD and NO interceptions! YES!!!! I think my boys are finally back on track and I am pretty sure we’ll make the playoffs this season.

Cleveland @ Buffalo 6-13
See how I did that reverse psychology? I picked Cleveland to win so that Buffalo would actually win and it worked.  Right now these guys are playing just to play. They have no hope at the playoffs but it was a pretty decent game if you were able to catch it.

Atlanta @ Carolina 31-10
Every weekend I am forced to watch Carolina and every weekend they lose. … at least they are consistent.

Green Bay @ Detroit 3-7
WHAT!?!?!?!?! Green Bay is in serious trouble. Detroit seems to be the upsetter this year.

Oakland @Jacksonville 31-38
Oakland had this game! But they let it slip away at the end. Man I wish that the Raiders would have won…

Cincinnati @ Pittsburgh 7-23
The Bengals lost. Shocker.

Tampa Bay @ Washington 17-16
Washington had this game going into OT until they missed the extra point and gave the win to the Bucs

Saint Louis @ New Orleans 13-31
The Saints dominated the Rams.

Seattle @ San Francisco 21-40
Holy Moley! I think the 49ers surprised everyone last week.  It didn’t help that Hasselbeck threw 4 interceptions and lost a fumble.  And with this win San Francisco moved within a game of their division leaders 6-7 Seattle and St. Louis.  Can I just say that if you are 5-9 you shouldn’t be even close to upsetting a division. The NFC West is horrible!

Denver @ Arizona 13-43
The Broncos have gone from bad to worse. They had six turnovers it wasn’t a pretty game. And the interim coach didn’t follow in the steps of the other two interim coachs in the league.

New England @ Chicago 36-7
The snow bowl in Chicago was so one sided that the network airing the game actually switched to another game  (which I was so thankful for).  It was an embarrassing game to watch. The Bears looked more like a pee wee football team.

Miami @ New York Jets 10-6
Wow the Jets are in a slump. Sometimes its fun to state the obvious. They need to snap out of it like fast!

Kansas City @ San Diego 0-31
The Chargers dominated KC and I have a feeling the Chiefs aren’t going to be able to hold on to the top of their division.

Philadelphia @ Dallas 30-27
Kinda mad that this game didn’t end in a tie or a Dallas win. Arg.

New York Giants @ Minneapolis 21-3
The New York Football Giants are one classy team. In the situation they were in they didn’t complain, they didn’t make excuses, they remained the standup guys they are. As you all know they were supposed to play Sunday at 1pm in Minneapolis but there was a ridiculous blizzard and their flight was redirected to KC Saturday and the team had to spend the night there. Then early Sunday morning the Metrodome’s roof collapsed due to all the snow and the game couldn’t be played there. It was then switched to be played in Detroit Monday night. In spite of being bounced around the team was able to form a deeper bond, which was made evident on the field Monday night. The Giants had a fantastic game despite a slow start. The defense only allowed 3 points. It was an amazing game. And that’s how the press should have covered it. But stupid Brett Favre once again stole the spot light by not even playing the game.  I can’t wait for him to be gone for good.

Baltimore @ Houston 34-28 OT
The Ravens pulled out a close one in overtime after giving up 21 points in the second half.  The defense allowed 3 Schaub touchdowns but also scored the game winning touchdown.

WEEK 15

San Francisco @ San Diego 7-34
Despite the 49ers upset last week they weren’t a challenge for San Diego Thursday night. I would have picked the Chargers to win anyway. San Diego is 8-6 and San Francisco is 5-9

New Orleans @ Baltimore
This should be a good game. I’m taking Baltimore at home.  New Orleans is 10-3 and 2nd in the NFC South. Baltimore is 2nd in the AFC North at 9-4

Arizona @ Carolina
Will Carolina get there second win of the season? Probably not. At least I won’t be forced to watch this game being that I am visiting my bestest friend in Cleveland.  Both teams are at the bottom of their divisions. Arizona is 4-9 and Carolina is 1-12

Cleveland @ Cincinnati
This will be the only 1pm game I’ll be able to watch being that I am in Cleveland this weekend. I hope the Browns can upset the Bengals.  Go Browns. Cleveland is 5-8 and the Bengals are at the bottom of the AFC North at 2-11

Washington @ Dallas
I don’t know how the Redskins are going to win without McNabb but I hope they do. It’s absurd that he’s been benched.  Washington is 5-8 and Dallas is 4-9 and at the bottom of the NFC East

Jacksonville @ Indianapolis
Indy seems to be back in action. And this game should decide the top of the AFC South.  It should be a good game and I am taking the Colts to win it of course.
Jacksonville is 8-5 and the Colts are 7-6

Buffalo @ Miami
Miami will most likely win but I’d like to see another Buffalo upset.

Philadelphia @ New York Giants
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TAKE BACK THE TOP OF THE NFC EAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kansas City @ Saint Louis
I’d like to see Saint Louis win this one. It’s 12:43 Sunday afternoon and my report isn’t done… eeeek.

Detroit @ Tampa Bay
I’m going to pick Tampa Bay

Houston @ Tennessee
I hope that Tennessee takes this game.

Atlanta @ Seattle
I’m pretty sure Atlanta will win this one.

Denver @ Oakland
Timmy gets to start for the Broncos today! Oakland please be kind and let him win. Thanks

New York Jets @ Pittsburgh
Hey Jets lets bounce back and take it out on the Steelers. Polamalu is out so that’s like an early Christmas present.

Green Bay @ New England
Of course I WANT Green Bay to win this one but I am not holding my breath. The Pats are on a roll… I hate this.

Chicago @ Minnesota
Well they won’t be playing at the Metrodome and the Vikings are starting rookie QB Webb. I think Chicago is going to win this one.

Sorry for the choppiness it hasn’t been edited.
GO GIANTS AND GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Shenoa Report Week 14

The Shenoa Report
December 9, 2010
Regular Season Week 14

In about 2 hours the Colts and Titans will be taking the field for Thursday Night Football. We’ll see if I can get this report finished before kick off.
Week 13 had its ups and downs. There was another head coach fired and a couple of devastating losses… but really what loss isn’t devastating. Lets recap week 13. (It wasn’t as lucky as I had hoped)

Houston @ Philadelphia 24-34
I would have picked Houston to win and I would have been wrong. Damn that Thursday Night Football and damn the Eagles… I hate Philly. (Yeah I never get sick of saying that) Houston is now 5-7 and Philadelphia is 8-4

New Orleans @ Cincinnati 34-30
The Bengals couldn’t pull off the upset but they sure did try.  The Saints have now won five in a row. Cincinnati is 2-10 now and the Saints are 9-3.

Chicago @ Detroit 24-20
Look out Chicago! They stay on top of their division with this win while the Lions have lost 5 in a row. Chicago is 9-3 while Detroit is 2-10.

San Francisco @ Green Bay 16-34
Green Bay walked all over San Francisco but they are only in 2nd place in the NFC West with that win. The 49ers are 4-8 and the Packers are 8-4.

Denver @ Kansas City 6-10
McDaniels got the boot after his 17th loss in 22 games as head coach in Denver. KC stays on top of their division.  Denver is 3-9 and KC is 8-4

Cleveland @ Miami 13-10
Henne threw 3 interceptions and even though both teams made many mistakes Cleveland came out on top. Cleveland is 5-7 and Miami is 6-6

Buffalo @ Minnesota 14-38
It’s AMAZING to see how well Minnesota does without Favre leading the team from the field! Favre was taken out on the first play of the game (which was an interception by the way). After Favre came off the field the Bills couldn’t stop Tarvaris Jackson and Adrian Peterson.  Minnesota is 5-7 and the Bills are 2-10

Washington @ New York Giants 14-31
THIS WAS THE BEST GAME OF THE WEEKEND (in my opinion)!!!! It was so nice to watch this game with my father! And it was even greater to see the GMEN WIN a divisional game!  Despite all the injuries on the Giants they are playing stellar on the field. I can’t wait until all the boys get back and then the Giants will be unstoppable! The Giants are 8-4 and the Redskins are 5-7

Jacksonville @ Tennessee 17-6
Tennessee this was probably one of the only games that I was actually rooting for you and you let me down! I will not be rooting for you this week! Jacksonville is 7-5 and Tennessee is 5-7

Oakland @ San Diego 28-13
Really San Diego? Why couldn’t you have played like crap LAST week? On the other hand, well played Oakland. Oakland is 6-6 and San Diego is 6-6.

Saint Louis @ Arizona19-6
Neither QB had a TD pass and both had an interception. Saint Louis is now 6-6 and still at the top of their division (still ridiculous) and Arizona is at 3-9 and at the bottom of the same division.

Dallas @ Indianapolis 38-35 OT
This game made me ill. It was ugly. Simply ugly. In the last 3 games Peyton has thrown 11 interceptions. He had 4 in this game alone. It was a heart breaking game to listen to and I got so excited when the Panthers game was finally over and they finally started to air the Indi game here. But as soon as they switched over Peyton threw his final interception of the game and my heart sank. It’s one thing to lose but its totally devastating to lose to the stupid Dallas Cowboys. Puke. Indi is now 6-6 (tear) and the Cowboys are 4-8

Carolina @ Seattle 14-31
The Panthers looked good for the first quarter but that’s about it. They did make Seattle look pretty go though.  Carolina is 1-10 and Seattle is 5-6

Atlanta @ Tampa Bay 28-24
Atlanta basically outplayed Tampa Bay and stay at the top of their division at 10-2. Tampa Bay is now 7-5

Pittsburgh @ Baltimore 13-10
Well Baltimore broke Roethlisberger’s nose but couldn’t take the win. Pittsburgh takes the top spot in the AFC North at 9-3 with this win and Baltimore falls to 8-4

New York Jets @ New England 45-3
Ouch. Did you know that Rex Ryan buried the game ball…  as much as it pains me to even think about typing this, the Pats had a pretty flawless game. Brady looked good. (yeah that hurt me) New England is now 10-2 and the Jets are 9-3

WEEK 14

Indianapolis @ Tennessee
Indi has just brought back Rhodes for this game. Oh man I hope that the Colts can pull off a win. I don’t know if I can handle another loss. I am wearing my #18 jersey and my colts hoodie right now. Lets go Colts!

Cleveland @ Buffalo
Man! I always pick Buffalo and I am always wrong. So I’m going to pick Cleveland to win this one just so Buffalo has a chance to win. In OT

Atlanta @ Carolina
HA. Atlanta wins.

Green Bay @ Detroit
Green Bay has this.

Oakland @Jacksonville
I hope Oakland wins this one. I mean they beat the Chargers last week….

New York Giants @ Minneapolis
Ok so I want Favre to start and I want Favre to play so that the Giants can be the ones responsible to end his career. And I mean really end it.  I’m taking the Giants in this game. I hope it’s a big game and as long as they keep Favre on the field it will be a priceless win for the Giants. GOOOOO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!

Cincinnati @ Pittsburgh
I mean I’d like to see Cincinnati win but I know better than to pick them.

Tampa Bay @ Washington
I think that Washington could bounce back and win this one. We’ll see.

Saint Louis @ New Orleans
I’m taking the Saints for this game but what an upset it would be for the Rams to win.

Seattle @ San Francisco
I am pretty sure that Seattle will take this one

Denver @ Arizona
Well so far this year when a team has a head coach fired the very next game said team wins. So I am going to pick Denver to win this one based on that statistic.

New England @ Chicago
I’m going with my heart and taking DA BEARS! (I hate the Pats)

Miami @ New York Jets
The Jets are going to bounce back after a humiliating loss and beat Miami.

Kansas City @ San Diego
I think that the Chargers are going to take this game and upset KC

Philadelphia @ Dallas
I hope this game ends in a tie…. I hate both teams equally but if I had to pick a winner to help my Giants I would have to pick Dallas

Baltimore @ Houston
Lets go Ravens!

Thanks for reading! GO COLTS & GO GIANTS !!!!!

The Shenoa Report Week 13

The Shenoa Report
December 4, 2010
Regular Season Week 13

It seems like forever ago that I wrote my last report. Was it really only last week? I hope everyone had a safe and fun Thanksgiving and Detroit, well maybe next year?
I didn’t get my report out in time for the Thursday night game and I apologize for that. I was babysitting Friday night and the family’s dvr had the ESPYS from 2008 and it got me very excited about the Giants. It rejuvenated my hope and trust in them. What a great year… maybe this year will be much like it.
All right lets recap week 12’s games.

New England @ Detroit 45-24
Well the first half was good.  According to Brian Regan in baseball if you play a half game you may get a whole snow cone but that’s not the case in the NLF if you don’t play the whole game there is no snow cone.  What made this game worse was watching it with a gloating Pats fan….

New Orleans @ Dallas 30-27
I was glad to see the Saints pull out the win at Dallas. I’m not gonna lie I was yelling WHO DAT to a sad Dallas fan Thursday night.

Cincinnati @ New York Jets 10-26
My brother doesn’t have the NFL Network so I watched this game on my trusty MacBook, and I am so glad I did (especially watching it with said Pats fan) It was a perfect end to the best thanksgiving ever. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!

Green Bay @ Atlanta 17-20
Green Bay couldn’t pull off the win.  Is Atlanta really that legit?

Pittsburgh @ Buffalo 19-16 OT
What a game.  Stevie Johnson had 5 dropped receptions this game and if he had made that one catch in overtime the outcome would have been a Buffalo win. But the shoulda woulda couldas don’t count in football and Pittsburgh won it in OT.  Oh and Stevie lets not blame God for your lack of ability to catch a clutch pass…

Carolina @ Cleveland 23-24
I thought for sure when the game came down to a John Kasey field goal that the Panthers would win it for sure. I was wrong.  At least Carolina will get the first pick in the draft….

Tennessee @Houston 0-20
This game made more headlines than any other this week. It wasn’t for the actual game but the ridiculous fight that broke out in the 4th quarter against Cortland Finnegan and Andre Johnson. Both were ejected from the game. Tennessee has lost 4 straight games and is in serious trouble.  Sorry Abby.

Jacksonville @ New York Giants 20-24
This game made me crazy! I was listening to it on the drive back from Norfolk and the other drivers on the road probably thought I was crazy. I was yelling and screaming at the radio and it didn’t seem to be helping the Giants at all.  When I got home I didn’t get the game (I only got the stupid panthers game) but I have awesome friends who gave me the play by play via text messages. I really wish I could have seen the rest of the game but either way the GMEN got the win and that’s all that matters.  All in all the Giants played like crap the first half but they pulled it together thankfully.

Minnesota @ Washington 17-13
Hey, hey, hey Minnesota gets a win.  With Childress gone the Vikings pull one out. Thanks Minnesota for helping out my GMEN.

Miami @ Oakland 33-17
This outcome surprised me. I really thought that Oakland would have won this game. Boy was I wrong.  It did help that Henne was back as the starting QB for Miami.

Kansas City @ Seattle 42-24
Man I’m wrong a lot. I thought for sure Seattle would win this game. I hope I at least keep you entertained with my ridiculous predictions every week.

Tampa Bay @ Baltimore 10-17
Tampa Bay Scored too little too late and Baltimore wins this one.

Philadelphia @ Chicago 26-31
HAH!!!! For every bad prediction I had at least one good one come out! Thank you Chicago for snuffing the Eagles. Thank you thank you thank you!

Saint Louis @ Denver 36-33
If I were keeping track of my picks this week it would be pathetic. I once again picked Denver and was wrong but way to go Sam. PS Denver’s head coach is in big trouble for cheating. Didn’t you learn anything from Bill Belichick ‘s spygate?!? McDaniels I thought you were better than that. Shame on you.

San Diego @ Indianapolis 36-14
When I think about this game these are the words that come to mind. Pathetic. Sad. Ridiculous. Dumbfounded. 4 interceptions!!!! Really!?!?! PEYTON YOU ARE KILLING ME! STOP IT!!!!! AHHHHHHHH. Frustration.

San Francisco @ Arizona 27-6
It’s official. Arizona is horrible without Kurt Warner. Book closed.

WEEK 13

I hope that week 13 is a lucky one for me.

New Orleans @ Cincinnati
Did you know that the Bengals are 2-9 coming into this game? Obviously they are not going to make the playoffs. The question is now are they going to start playing for that first draft pick or are they going to try to upset those teams that have a chance. New Orleans is fighting for first place in their division where Atlanta leads the division at 9-2 while the Saints are 8-3. Will Cincinnati upset New Orleans or will New Orleans upset Atlanta. I’m picking the Saints to win this game.

Chicago @ Detroit
I’m pretty sure that Chicago has this one.  Chicago is 8-3 while Detroit is 2-9.

San Francisco @ Green Bay
I’m picking Green Bay. The 49ers are 4-7 and the Packers are 7-4.

Denver @ Kansas City
I’m hoping that Denver will win this one, its unlikely I know but a girl can hope. Denver is 3-8 and KC is 7-4

Cleveland @ Miami
I would love to see Cleveland win this one but if I were a betting girl (which I am not) I would bet Miami would win. Cleveland is 4-7 and Miami is 6-5

Buffalo @ Minnesota
Once again I am going with Buffalo and if this game goes into OT like most Bills games do may Buffalo actually win it! Minnesota is 4-7 and the Bills are 2-9

Washington @ New York Giants
Side story: So tonight my good friend Jamie was throwing a Holiday party and asked me to come set up. So my housemate and I jumped into her car (after much primping) and headed down the road. Well the next thing I know my housemate has car trouble and pulls in to this parking lot saying that her check engine light has just come on and she starts crying. I start praying because I don’t know what else to do. She asks me to go inside to get some help at this dark building and I look in and it looks like someone is having a candlelight vigil. I think I’m about to interrupt a prayer meeting so I open the door and the people inside turn the lights on and yell SURPRISE!!!!! I quickly close the door and start swearing because I think that these people have just ruined a perfectly good surprise on a couple of girls with car trouble. And then I recognize my mother (who lives in NY btw I live in NC) and I start to realize that the surprise may just be for me being that I am turning the big 3-0 in 9 days…. My friends and family got me good, which brings me to some other exciting new … my dad and I will be able to watch the Giants game together in my living room! Now Gmen I am asking for an early birthday present. Just win. Please and thank you. I’m excited to be able to watch this game with my dad and it will be the perfect end to the perfect weekend. LETS GO GMEN!!!!!!! PS the Giant are 7-4 and the Redskins are 5-6

Jacksonville @ Tennessee
Tennessee has to break their 4 game losing streak with a win. Good luck Titans, you’ll need it, though a tie would do just fine… the Colts need all the help they can get. Jacksonville is 6-5 and Tennessee is 5-6

Oakland @ San Diego
I’m pretty sure San Diego has this one. Oakland is 5-6 and San Diego is 6-5

Saint Louis @ Arizona
The Rams got this. Arizona sucks. Saint Louis is 5-6 (and are at the top of their division, which is a joke of a division) and Arizona is at 3-8 and at the bottom of the same division

Dallas @ Indianapolis
The Colts have got to win this one. Hey Peyton! Be a dear and throw to your own teammates this week. Thanks. Love you. PS I hate Dallas. Indi is 6-5 and the Cowboys are 3-8

Carolina @ Seattle
I’m picking the Seahawks. Carolina is 1-10 and Seattle is 5-6

Atlanta @ Tampa Bay
This should be a good game and I’m hoping that Tampa Bay will come out with the win. Atlanta is 9-2 and Tampa Bay is 7-4

Pittsburgh @ Baltimore
Big Ben is playing with a broken foot. Lets Go Baltimore! Pittsburgh and Baltimore are tied for first with 8-3 in the AFC North

New York Jets @ New England
J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you hear that Tom Brady is endorsing Uggs?!?!?! While he is prancing around the field I hope the Jets defensive line has their way with him. Obviously I am picking the Jets. Both teams are 9-2 and lead the AFC East.

Thanks for reading! GO GIANTS AND GO COLTS !!!!! AND GO JETS J

Thanks Mom for editing for me!

The Shenoa Report Week 12

The Shenoa Report
November 24, 2010
Regular Season Week 12

As a Colts and Giants fan, last week sucked. It’s taken me a couple of days to cool down but I am sitting here in my Giants t-shirt and Colts hoodie writing this report. My teams can make mistakes but I’m going to stand by them. I am not a fair-weather fan and I hope that with your teams you are also diehard fans, no one wants fair-weather friends and neither do football teams. I’m just glad my dad raised me as a Giants fan and not a Bills fan. ; )
Am I the only one who thinks that this football season has been quite the “soap opera”? More so than previous seasons…we’ve got usurpers, scapegoats, malicious playing, the “he said, she said” BS.  There are guys being fired, guys “trading teams”, hitting, crying, and yelling…it’s ridiculous. And that’s just the Vikings.  I kid, I kid. No, it’s happening around the whole league.  At least it keeps the sports writers busy with a lot to write about. This past week has been no different from the first 10 weeks of football. Let’s recap.

Chicago @ Miami 16-0
Miami gets shut out at home.  With Miami’s injury-ridden team the Bears walked all over them allowing Miami only one 3rd down conversion. You’ve got to give it to “Da Bears” though; they played a tough game and are now at the top of the NFC North with a record of 7-3. Miami is now 5-5.

Baltimore @ Carolina 37-13
In talking about fair-weather fans I’m going to have to call out Panthers’ fans, put yourself in the cleats of the guys on the field every Sunday at home games. How would you do if you looked up in the stands and almost all the seats were empty after a not so productive 1st half? Shame on you, you fair-weather Panthers fans!  Do you go to your children’s concerts and walk out halfway through if the kids have some off notes? Maybe, just maybe the Panthers would play better if their fans didn’t give up on them quite so easily. No one likes to watch their team lose (it’s ugly, I can attest to that after last week) but try to stay with them until the end of the game.
I’ll step off my soapbox now.
On a side note the Ravens looked pretty spectacular. Baltimore is now 7-3 and Carolina is 1-9 with the worst record in the NFL this season.

Buffalo @ Cincinnati 49-31
Hey Buffalo, where’d you come from?!?!?! What a comeback! 5 unanswered TDs in the 2nd half! 3 of which were by Steve Johnson, who I am proud to say is on my fantasy football team and definitely helped me with the win last week. If the Giants couldn’t win it was good to see the other two NY teams win. Buffalo is now 2-8 and Cincinnati is 2-8

Detroit @ Dallas 19-35
Dear Detroit, this is unacceptable and it better not happen again next week. Dallas now has 3 wins under their belt. Was it because of the coaching change? Who knows? Dallas is now 3-7 and Detroit is 2-8

Cleveland @ Jacksonville 20-24
The Browns couldn’t pull of the win but it was a good, close game. When it’s not your team playing, these are the kind of games that are entertaining and fun to watch. I prefer to have a huge lead, or cushion if you will, when I watch my team. Cleveland is now 3-7 and Jacksonville is 6-4

Arizona @ Kansas City 13-31
This game played out just like I thought, with another Arizona loss. Arizona is now 3-7 KC is 6-4

Green Bay @ Minnesota 31-3
Well, another one bites the dust. Brad Childress was fired after this loss but is anyone really surprised? I’m not. The Vikings are now in the run for last place but there is good competition there with the Panthers. If they keep playing Favre I’m pretty sure they’ll be pretty close to achieving that 1st pick in the 2011 draft.
Green Bay had a great game with that classy Aaron Rogers leading the team to quite the victory. GB is now 7-3 and Minnesota is 3-7

Houston @ New York Jets 27-30
The comeback kids win another game. One thing is for sure the Jets do not quit. Nice playing boys. The Jets are now 8-2 and the Texans are 4-6

Oakland @ Pittsburgh 3-35
If you can’t beat them on the field try to physically assault them on the field. That seemed to be Seymour’s philosophy anyway. Was it worth the $25,000? I know if I could afford that kind of penalty and Roethlisberger was running his mouth I’d probably pop him one too. Just sayin’. But then again I’m not a fan of Big Ben by any means. At least he picked on someone his own size this time… anyway … the Steelers got their win and are now 7-3 and Oakland falls to 5-5

Washington @ Tennessee 19-16 OT
This was a GREAT game, and one of those games I talked about earlier being that it was an entertaining, close game. I was happy to see Washington pull off the win but with the Giants loss I can’t be rooting for the Redskins anymore. Way to pull off the win in OT Washington. Washington is now 5-5 and Tennessee is 5-5

Seattle @ New Orleans 19-34
This game should have come with no surprise with a Saints win. New Orleans is now 7-3 and Seattle is 5-5

Tampa Bay @ San Francisco 21-0

Another shutout at home this week. The 49ers are now 3-7 and the Bucs are 7-3

Atlanta @ Saint Louis 34-17
Saint Louis is really struggling but Atlanta should be getting some credit with one of the best records in the NFL this season.  It was a disappointing loss and I would really have liked to see the Rams pull off an upset. But sometimes it just doesn’t work out the way you’d like it to.  Atlanta is now 8-2 Saint Louis is 4-6

Indianapolis @ New England 28-31
I HATE the Pats. And it pains me to recap this game. So I’ll say just this…. Peyton, I love you but you’ve got to stop throwing interceptions. You’re killing me. But I love you and I believe in you and the Indianapolis Colts it just sucks that you wouldn’t stomp the Pats in their house. Don’t worry you’ve got the next one. The Colts are now 6-4 and the Pats are 8-2

New York Giants @ Philadelphia
I HATE THE EAGLES!!!!!!!!!! PS I’m visiting my brother and his wife for Thanksgiving in Dover, DE and we went to the mall today where there were copious amounts of Philly fans… I did a lot of hissing and may have even threw up in my mouth a little bit when walking into the sports store and seeing all the Eagles paraphernalia. True Story. Like I just said to Peyton I will now say to Eli. Eli, I love you but you have got to stop throwing interceptions and for the love of God learn to slide! You’re killing me, but I love you and I believe in you and the GMEN so get it done next week. Yes it sucks that you lost to the Eagles but you’ll get another chance on December 19 to beat them at home. I will consider that win a late birthday present. The Giants are now 6-4 and the Eagles are 7-3 and at the Top of the NFC East for just this week I hope.

Denver @ San Diego 14-35
Phillip Rivers was on fire Monday night with 4 TDs bringing the Chargers to a big victory over the Broncos. The Chargers are now 5-5 and the Broncos are 3-7.

WEEK 12
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

New England @ Detroit
Brady is listed as questionable for this game and all my dreams would come true if the Lions win. Can we say Thanksgiving miracle? Lets hope so.

New Orleans @ Dallas
I don’t think it will take a Thanksgiving miracle for the Saints to beat the Cowboys but just in case I’m asking for another miracle of sorts.  Go Saints!

Cincinnati @ New York Jets
And to cap off the best Thanksgiving ever I will pick the Jets to beat the Bengals.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving and may your team win unless your team is the Patriots, Cowboys, or Bengals.  I brought my Lions hat to wear for the big day and I have the pleasure of watching the game with a Pats fan…. I’m sure there will be stories about it next week. Stay tuned.

Green Bay @ Atlanta
This will be a defining game for the Packers to see what they are made of. They have had a pretty cake schedule so far this season. Atlanta, on the other hand, has had a decent schedule so Green Bay better bring their A-Game. I’m going to pick GB and hope they win.

Pittsburgh @ Buffalo
I would love, love, LOVE for Buffalo to win but I am not betting on it. Please prove me wrong Bills. Please.

Carolina @ Cleveland
McCoy is out and Delhomme is in just in time for the big game against Carolina. This may be one game Jakie will win with Carolina on the field. We will just have to see who he throws to more. Hopefully Cleveland.

Tennessee @Houston
This is a divisional game in which I hope Houston wins so that Tennessee doesn’t get in front of Indi. Go Texans

Jacksonville @ New York Giants
I’m going with the Giants. Eli is going to have a great game even without Nicks on the field. We are going to bounce back and win. And this will be a double win for me because it should put the Colts back on top of their division as well.

Minnesota @ Washington
A Vikings win would help my Giants.  Will Leslie Frazier, the interim head coach, bring a Vikings win? Maybe, if he benches Favre.

Miami @ Oakland
The Raiders were embarrassed last week as well as Miami. I think that Oakland will come out on top this Sunday.

Kansas City @ Seattle
I still don’t know how both these teams are at the top of their division. It should be a pretty even game nonetheless. I’ll take Seattle this week.

Tampa Bay @ Baltimore
Man I hope the Ravens win this one. Both teams have the same record so this should be another good game to watch.

Philadelphia @ Chicago
This is another case when my mind says one thing but my heart says another. I’m going with my heart and going with Chicago! PS I HATE PHILLY.

Saint Louis @ Denver
I’m going to have to go with Denver but hopefully Sam Bradford will have a good game

San Diego @ Indianapolis
The Colts are going to get out of their funk and win this game. Sorry Nayiri I hope both of your teams lose this week because both my teams lost last week.
I hope the Colts come back and come back BIG

San Francisco @ Arizona
Both teams are in the NFC West and are at the bottom of their division so this is a game of last place… another toilet bowl if you will. Arizona I am picking you for the win one last time. Don’t let me down.

GO GIANTS AND GO COLTS!!!!!!!! Enjoy!

PS Thanks to my brother (the grammar nazi) and his wife for editing this for me!

The Shenoa Report Week 11

The Shenoa Report
November 17, 2010
Regular Season Week 11

HAHA I did it! I have the Shenoa Report done before Thursday night football. Go ME! Anyway. Enough about me, Week 10 had only a few surprises. I’m pretty torn up over the Giants game but I suppose if you aren’t a Giants fan no one would really care. It was pretty bad, I mean the joke of the NFL, aka the Dallas Cowboys, walked all over the Giants. It was a humbling experience for me.  Oh well here are the recaps of week 10.

Baltimore @ Atlanta 21-26
This was Thursday night’s game and I would have picked the Ravens and I would have been wrong…

Detroit @ Buffalo 12-14
Buffalo FINALLY wins one! Way-to-go boys! First win of the 2010 season…

Minnesota @ Chicago 17-23
DA BEARS! This far into the season you all know how I feel about Favre and the whole Minnesota debauchery.  All I have to say is Favre has 10 TDs and 16 INTs. FAIL

New York Jets @ Cleveland 26-20 OT
Jets pull off the win in OT.  Sorry Cleveland. PS keep your fans in check. Seriously, you get a bad reputation real fast when a drunken Cleveland fan tackles an 8 year old boy in the parking lot wearing a Jets jersey after the loss…

Cincinnati @ Indianapolis 17-23
Peyton didn’t even have a TD and the Colts still won this game. Thank you Colts.

Houston @ Jacksonville 24-31
Did you see that last play?! If not look it up, it brought Jacksonville to victory.

Tennessee @ Miami 17-29
Randy Moss only had one catch and Miami put the game away with their third string QB Tyler Thigpen. Way to go Miami

Carolina @ Tampa Bay 16-31
Carolina is just awful. The End.

Kansas City @ Denver 29-49
I called this! KC is not the powerhouse their stats show. Way to go Denver! Very excited for Tim Tebow getting his first throwing TD of his NFL career!

Seattle @ Arizona 36-18
Arizona just couldn’t pull off the win. Not even close.

Dallas @ New York Giants 33-20
Just swallowed a big piece of humble pie. The lights are on. The lights are off. They’re playing in the dark, they’re playing in the light. It was horrible. There aren’t words to describe the awfulness of this game. There were many expletives thrown around in my living room during this game and if I had had a dinner roll it would have been thrown too. (Granddad would be proud of me. Not of this game.) And that’s all I have to say about that.

Saint Louis @ San Francisco 20-23 OT
Well I didn’t see that coming. Congrats on the hard earned win SF.

New England @ Pittsburgh 39-26
I would much rather have seen this game end in a tie but it’s really no surprise who won this.

Philadelphia @ Washington 59-28
Remember that commercial “The Michael Vick Experience”. … they redid it… and it was super long this time.  Vick had 6 TDs… ridiculous.

WEEK 11

Chicago @ Miami
This is a Thursday night game and both teams are coming off wins. I’m going to take Miami at home. Miami is 5-4 and Chicago 6-3

Baltimore @ Carolina
As Brian Regan would say “Easy out, Easy out” which translates to “Easy win, easy win Ravens. “ Baltimore is 6-3 and Carolina is 1-8

Buffalo @ Cincinnati
Cincinnati is hurting… and I know that Buffalo only has one win but I have to take them again. Buffalo is 1-8 and Cincinnati is 2-7

Detroit @ Dallas
I really believe that last week’s win was a fluke. I may be very bitter but I’m going with Detroit. Both teams are 2-7

Cleveland @ Jacksonville
I love you Cleveland but I’m taking Jacksonville. I hope I’m wrong. Cleveland is 3-6 and Jacksonville is 5-4

Arizona @ Kansas City
I’m tired of backing up Arizona. I’m still not on the KC bandwagon I’m just picking them for the win this Sunday. Arizona is 3-6 KC is 5-4

Green Bay @ Minnesota
I just don’t see the Viking winning this. Well, I mean, they could win this if they benched Favre but that’ll never happen so the win goes to Green Bay. GB is 6-3 and Minnesota is 3-6

Houston @ New York Jets
I’m going with the Jets. Done and done.  Jets are 7-2 and the Texans are 4-5

Oakland @ Pittsburgh
Oh man I would love for Oakland to beat up on Pittsburgh.  I’m taking Oakland in the upset. Oakland is 5-4 and Pittsburgh is 6-3

Washington @ Tennessee
I think Tennessee will win this one but I would like to see McNabb and the Redskins get a win. Washington is 4-5 and Tennessee is 5-4

Seattle @ New Orleans
I’m taking the Saints in this game. New Orleans is 6-3 and Seattle is 5-4

Tampa Bay @ San Francisco
I just don’t think the 49ers are going to win at home this week. I’m going with the Bucs.  The 49ers are 3-6 and the Bucs are 6-3

Atlanta @ Saint Louis
I would really like to see the Rams pull off an upset. I’m going with the Rams this week. Atlanta is 7-2 Saint Louis is 4-5

Indianapolis @ New England
I am bias and I am taking the Colts. (I hate the Patriots and I will never pick against the Colts) The Pats are 7-2 and the Colts are 6-3 This is one of the games I get to see from the comfort of my home… if it doesn’t go well you will not be able to reach me on my phone… it will be off.

New York Giants @ Philadelphia
Dear God please let the Giants win this game.  Shut down Vick and Jackson. Thanks. Love, Shenoa. But seriously GMEN we need this win. You need this win. I need this win! Sooooo WIN GIANTS WIN.  PS both teams are 6-3 on the season and at the Top of the NFC East.

Denver @ San Diego
I’m going with the Chargers on Monday Night Football. The Chargers are 4-5 and the Broncos are 3-6.

There are no byes this week.

GO COLTS AND GO GIANTS.

Thanks Mom

The Shenoa Report Week 10

The Shenoa Report
November 14, 2010
Regular Season Week 10

I’m going to be honest I looked at the clock Thursday evening after work and thought about writing up this report in time to talk about the Thursday night game but I just couldn’t pull it together. Maybe next week will be different, but probably not.  I’m not going to climb up onto my soapbox just yet so lets recap last week.

Tampa Bay @ Atlanta 21-27
Atlanta was 6-2 after this win over the Bucs.   They had a short week and won again Thursday night at home over the Ravens. They are leading the league at 7-2 for the moment but I’m sure this will all change Sunday. Tampa Bay fell to 5-3.

Chicago @ Buffalo 22-19
Even when playing in another country one thing remained the same for the Bills… they still couldn’t pull off a win.  This game was played in Canada, which was a home game for Buffalo anyway. Sorry Buffalo.  Chicago is 5-3 and Buffalo is a sad depressing 0-8

New England @ Cleveland 14-34
BAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Wait for it… BAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
OK I think this game was an even sweeter win than my Giants stomping on the Seahawks.  Colt seems to be the real McCoy. I’m impressed and oh so glad that I picked Cleveland over New England. Sometimes it pays to make picks from your heart.  New England is 6-2 and Cleveland is 3-5

New York Jets @ Detroit 23-20 in OT
Detroit almost ruined the Jets day but as it turned out the Jets ruined the Lions day. But is anyone surprised.  I mean I’m a little surprised at how the Jets are playing. This one was too close Jets… you need to step up your game if you are going to stay on top of the AFC East. The Jets are 6-2 and Detroit is 2-6

Arizona @ Minnesota 24-27 in OT
Arizona you have disappointed me. In other news Favre assures everyone that this is his last season…. There’s a song by Jo Dee Messina… it goes like this ….”My give-a-damn’s busted.  I really wanna care. I wanna feel somethin’. Let me dig a little deeper; No, sorry: nothin’.” The sports analysts say with this win Favre has saved Childress’ job and the season. Minnesota is 3-5 on the season… you do the math.  Arizona is also 3-5. Things are looking pretty grim for these two teams.

New Orleans @ Carolina 34-3
Another coach that should be fired is John Fox. I mean Wade Phillips got the boot this week why are we keeping Fox around. There really isn’t much to say about this game. We really knew the outcome before it even began. New Orleans is 6-3 and the Panthers are 1-7

Miami @ Baltimore 10-26
Baltimore looked good against Miami but had a short week and couldn’t walk away with a win on Thursday. After this game Miami is 4-4 and Baltimore was 6-2

San Diego @ Houston 29-23
The Chargers pulled off their first road win of the season. And with Houston losing this would have helped the Colts if they hadn’t lost too.
San Diego is now 4-5 and Houston is 4-4

New York Giants @ Seattle 41-7
The Giants make me so proud! They had 34 unanswered points before Seattle scored their only TD in the 4th quarter. I wish I had gotten this game rather than the Colts game Sunday I would have smiled a lot more. My brother asked me if they evoked the mercy rule in football… With this game I’m glad they don’t have such a rule. The Giants are now 6-2 while the Seahawks are 4-4

Kansas City @ Oakland 20-23 OT
Oakland seems to be a legit team or are they only playing the weaker teams? Either way, they are winning and that’s what matters. I bet that in a couple of weeks KC will be knocked out of the top spot of the AFC West. Lucky for KC, Oakland has a bye this week.

Indianapolis @ Philadelphia 24-26

I HATE Philly. It would have been a perfect weekend if this score were reversed. Colts D you let me down. Colts are now5-3 and the Eagles are 5-3 and that’s all I have to say about that.

Dallas @ Green Bay 7-45

Well Wade Phillips finally got fired. But is this really going to help the Cowboys? I hope not. This was a status update from one of my friends last week “What do you call 53 millionaires watching the SuperBowl? The Dallas Cowboys” I don’t know about you but I sure did get a chuckle out of it. Dallas is now 1-7 and Green Bay is 6-3

Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati 27-21

Cincinnati really didn’t have much of a chance. I’m not gonna lie I didn’t even bother watching this game. The Steelers are now 6-2 and the Bengals are 2-6

WEEK 10

Baltimore @ Atlanta 21-26
This was Thursday night’s game and I would have picked the Ravens and I would have been wrong…

Detroit @ Buffalo
I’m picking Buffalo in OT… shocker I know

Minnesota @ Chicago
I’m going with DA BEARS at home

New York Jets @ Cleveland
I don’t think that the Browns can upset 3 weeks in a row. I’m going with the Jets

Cincinnati @ Indianapolis
The Colts have this one.

Houston @ Jacksonville
This is a battle for last place in the AFC South. I’m going with Jacksonville

Tennessee @ Miami
This will be Randy Moss’ debut with the Titans and Kerry Collins is their starting QB today… I’m going with Miami… I hope that Collins plays like he did when he was with the Giants…

Carolina @ Tampa Bay
The Bucs have this one. Its pretty much already gift-wrapped.

Kansas City @ Denver
I’m still not on the KC bandwagon but Denver is doing horribly this season. Tough call.  I’m going out on a limb and picking Denver for the win.

Seattle @ Arizona
Arizona has lost 3 weeks in a row. They are due for a win at home. I’m going with Arizona. Side note Kurt Warner is now off Dancing With The Stars.  It was a good run Kurt.

Dallas @ New York Giants
Well Dallas has a new head coach but I don’t think it’s going to change anything. Like Vince Lombardi said, “Once you learn to quit it becomes habit.” And they have a strong habit to break and its not going to change today. The Giants will walk alllll over them and it will be GLORIOUS. Obviously I’m going with the G-MEN. GO GIANTS!!!!

Saint Louis @ San Francisco
I’m going with the Rams this week.

New England @ Pittsburgh
I’ve got to go with the Steelers at home.  I’ll even skip all the snide remarks I usually make about these two teams.

Philadelphia @ Washington
Washington you’ve done it once this year please do it again and beat the opponent soundly.

This week’s Byes: Packers, Saints, Raiders, and Chargers

GO COLTS AND GO GIANTS!!!!!!!! Enjoy!

(thanks mom for editing the first part I hope there aren’t many mistakes on my picks for this weekend)

The Shenoa Report Week 9

The Shenoa Report
November 7, 2010
Regular Season Week 9

I don’t even know where to start?! Week 8 was crazy! There are some horrible football teams out there this season *cough cough* Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers. Even the Detroit Lions have a better record this season than these 3 teams!
Mentioning the Lions brings me to my second point. Mike Shanahan, you sound like one of my 3 yr olds trying to talk your way out of a corner. Just admit, YOU BLEW IT by taking McNabb out and putting Rex Grossman in. Big mistake, BIG, HUGE, mistake. I mean really? Your go to guy is Grossman? Come on! And that’s how Detroit got their 2nd win of the season hand delivered by Shanahan.
Brad Childress, another stellar coach in the NFL this season (please note my sarcasm) really has some major problems. He can’t manage his team, he continues to start a QB who is less than impressive this season while his backup QB is an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. He traded a third round draft pick with the Patriots to acquire Randy Moss and then not even a month later put Moss on waivers. Sports Center did a poll earlier this week on whether or not Childress should be fired and out of almost 100,000 people who responded to the poll 80% agreed he should be fired. The Minneapolis Star Tribune did a similar poll and 90% agreed he should be fired. Fans are not happy and neither is Zygi Wilf the owner of the Vikings. Childress is in some pretty hot water.
And finally Randy Moss… He’s on his 3rd NFL team this season! After being put on wavers 20 teams passed on picking him up! 20 TEAMS didn’t want to deal with his nonsense. If that doesn’t humble a person I don’t think anything will. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what kind of stink he makes in Tennessee. Any one want to bet that he’s back in New England by the end of the season or jobless????

With that all being said let us now recap week 8.

Denver @ San Francisco 16-24
I am horrible at picking games. And Denver is horrible at winning games. I was wrong I thought that Denver would win this game. I was definitely wrong. PS my mom went back though my past Shenoa Reports and calculated my picks… I am right exactly 50% of the time…. Not a good stat. I’m going to try to get better the second half of the season.

Jacksonville @ Dallas 35-17
Yeah Dallas sucks… the end.

Miami @ Cincinnati 22-14
Cincinnati did a pretty good job of keeping Miami out of the end zone but still allowed 5 field goals and one TD and lost the game.

Buffalo @ Kansas City 10-13 OT
This is the second week that a Buffalo game has gone into OT and the seventh time that the Bills have not come up with a win. Oh Buffalo I don’t know what else to say…. 0-7 … ouch.

Washington @ Detroit 25-37
I was glad to see Detroit win but not at the expense of McNabb. I would love to know what was going on in the mind of Shanahan to take McNabb out and put Grossman in…. what an idiot.

Carolina @ Saint Louis 10-20
No surprise here. Sam Bradford looked good for a rookie QB with 2 TD’s and no interceptions.  I can’t say the same for Matt Moore and the Panthers.

Green Bay @ New York Jets 9-0
Watching this game I was STUNNED.  I’ve got to hand it to GB though…. They played a great game. Its been a real long time since the Jets have been shut out at home.

Tennessee @ San Diego 25-33
I was very glad to see the Chargers get out of their funk. Thank you for helping out my Colts.  Tennessee I don’t know whether to congratulate you on the new addition to your team or send condolences.  At least you have a bye week to figure things out.

Minneapolis @ New England 18-28
As I expected scenario 3 practically came true.  The Pats knocked out Favre but it was too late in the game for Tavaris Jackson to turn the game around. When is Childress going to get a clue…. Maybe soon he won’t have to because he’ll be fired for being such a sucky coach. Argh. On a side note Randy Moss had an uneventful game against his former team and then got the boot….

Tampa Bay @ Arizona 38-35
The Bucs seem to be the rally back team. It’s hard to believe they are in 5-2. It is truly anyone’s year… well except for the Panthers, Cowboys, and Bills… it’s definitely not their year…

Seattle @ Oakland 3-33
Oakland is really surprising everyone this year. They are playing some decent football and seem to be killing the competition.

Pittsburgh @ New Orleans 10-20
I was glad to see the Saints win this game and even happier to see Roethlisberger hit the ground so many times thanks to the Saints defense. Good game boys good game.

Houston @ Indianapolis 17-30
This game sure did not disappoint! The Colts team came in with 3 key players out and somehow Peyton and the Indi defense came out with a fantastic win. Peyton had an awesome game throwing 2 TD’s, no interceptions, a rushing 1st down, and he even threw a block. He is my hero.

WEEK 9

Tampa Bay @ Atlanta
Both teams lead the NFC South at 5-2. I’ll pick Atlanta this week. I don’t think that the Bucs will be the come back kids Sunday.

Chicago @ Buffalo
Hey Buffalo lets win this week in regulation…. Against my best instincts I’m picking the Bills to win this. Yeah I don’t know why either. Chicago is 4-3 and Buffalo is of course 0-7

New England @ Cleveland
My picks are so bad because I usually want Cleveland to win and always want New England to lose. So once again I’m going with my heart and picking the Browns to win this one.  The Browns are 2-5 and desperately need a win… New England is 6-1

New York Jets @ Detroit
Detroit got lucky last week and it isn’t going to happen again this week unless Suh has another big week but I think that the Jets are going to be ready this time. NY is 5-2 and Detroit is 2-5

Arizona @ Minnesota
Arizona’s got this. The Vikings are falling apart and quite frankly I’m tired of all their shenanigans. For the love of God bench Favre, start Jackson, and fire Childress. Arizona is 3-4 and Minnesota is 2-5

New Orleans @ Carolina
Another coach that should be fired is John Fox. Carolina is horrible this year. I think its safe to say that the Saints will win this game. Maybe I’ll wear my Shockey shirt today and walk around the streets of Charlotte. New Orleans is 5-3 and the Panthers are 1-6

Miami @ Baltimore
This should be a good game. I’m going with the Ravens this week. I hope that their defense plays well because I haven’t won fantasy football in 3 weeks. Miami is 4-3 and Baltimore is 5-2

San Diego @ Houston
The Chargers need to win this one. Houston has a short week this week being that they lost to the Colts this past Monday. Hopefully they won’t be prepared enough for this game and the Chargers will win.  Houston has the better record but San Diego needs the win more and so do I.  San Diego is 3-5 and Houston is 4-3

New York Giants @ Seattle
The Giants will be facing a 2nd string QB in Seattle this weekend and with the way that the G-Men’s defense has been playing Seattle might want to get their 3rd string QB lined up and ready to go as well. The Giants should be very well rested coming off their bye week and ready to win this football game. I’m going with the Giants! They are 5-2 while the Seahawks are 4-3

Kansas City @ Oakland
The Raiders are on a rampage and will put a hurting on KC. I am still confused that KC leads the AFC West at 5-2 but it won’t be long because Oakland is 4-4 and ready to take over.

Indianapolis @ Philadelphia

I hate Philly and LOVE Indi. Go Colts! Peyton exudes confidence in his team and will lead them to victory again this week.  And to quote Stuart Scott "I feel like picking against Peyton Manning is like not filing a income tax return, ethically wrong and illegal." I feel the same way Stuart. I feel the same way.  Oh yeah the Colts are 5-2 and the Eagles are 4-3

Dallas @ Green Bay

Dallas doesn’t have a chance… Wade Phillips… another coach that will be looking for a job at the end of this season. Dallas is 1-6 and Green Bay is 5-3

Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati

I’d like to see Cincinnati pull off the upset but I won’t hold my breath. It was nice to see Big Ben get knocked around last weekend… maybe it’ll happen again this weekend. The Steelers are 5-2 and the Bengals are 2-5

This week’s byes are the Broncos, Jaguars, 49ers, Rams, Titans, and Redskins

Enjoy! GO GIANTS & COLTS!!!!!!!

PS a special thanks to my mom for editing for me!

The Shenoa Report Week 8

The Shenoa Report
October 30, 2010
Regular Season Week 8

Just in case you missed last week’s games we’ll recap.  It must be brought to attention the “multitude of mistakes” by the refs this past weekend and throughout the season. It has gotten to the point that the NFL had a conference call with ALL the game officials this past Friday to encourage them to do a better job when it comes to making the right calls. The refs are really making some serious mistakes and hopefully after this conference call the officials will be bringing their A-game to work. On a good note the defensive players seem to have been able to correct their “illegal” hitting so far. Lets see if the refs can correct their eyesight.

Cincinnati @ Atlanta 32-39
I called Atlanta to win this game and they did. I wish the rest of life was that easy.

Pittsburgh @ Miami 23-22
Talk about the blown calls from officials…  Miami should have won this game but do to a blown call with an obvious Roethlisberger fumble Pittsburgh won with a field goal.

Buffalo @ Baltimore 34-37
Well Buffalo made it to over time... and came up short. On the other hand Baltimore should be hanging their heads in shame to allow 34 points, especially from the Bills. I was right the Bills are 0-6

Jacksonville @ Kansas City 20-42
I picked KC to win this game and they did but I still don’t understand how KC is 4-2 on the season. KC is still on top of their division, 2nd is Oakland?!??? (what?) 3rd is San Diego and last is the Broncos. I feel like I’m in the twilight zone looking at these standings. Shouldn’t they be reversed?

Cleveland @ New Orleans 30-17
On any given day any given team can win a football game and that’s just what happened last Sunday.  The Browns rocked the Saints in Who Dat Country. The Super Bowl champs were stunned and I think that their Super Bowl hangover continues. Who knows maybe Drew Brees is taking his Nyquil on the field instead of waiting till he gets home? Brees threw 4 interceptions, 2 of which were returned for TDs.

Washington @ Chicago 17-14
I really just don’t know what to say. I’m not happy that Washington won but Chicago seems to be good at disappointing.

San Francisco @ Carolina 20-23
CAROLINA WINS THEIR FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON!!!!!!! Thank God for John Kasay. Pretty sure he has the most points this season for Carolina… and he is of course the Panthers kicker.

Saint Louis @ Tampa Bay 17-18
Saint Louis let me down. It must have been a good defensive game on their part but not good enough they allowed only one touchdown but allowed 4 field goals losing the game by one point.

Philadelphia @ Tennessee 19-37
I am very happy with this outcome. This game puts the Eagles in 3rd place and the Giants safely at the top of the NFC East and I like this very much.

Arizona @ Seattle 10-22
With this win Seattle leads the NFC West at 4-2.  I bet Arizona misses Warner more than ever. I hope he’s doing well on Dancing With The Stars.

New England @ San Diego 23-20
San Diego has no one to blame but their own players. Tragic game if you are a Chargers fan and a tragic game if you are not a Pats fan…. It was tragic for me.

Oakland @ Denver 59-14
This was the highest scoring game by the Raiders ever! Crazy! I think maybe Denver forgot to show up for the game?

Minnesota @ Green Bay 24-28
This was another game that fans were in an uproar over calls by the officials.  And Childress was fined $35,000 for publicly bashing the officials after the game.  Maybe he should use all that anger and direct it to benching Favre.
Favre definitely could have used his walker at the end of the game. It was pathetic…. They say that pride comes right before the fall…. PS this game was the most-watched Sunday Night Football game in history to date.

New York Giants @ Dallas 41-35
The New York Football Giants ~ taking out QBs one game at a time! I know that with the track record the Giants have this far if I was an opposing QB I’d be a little afraid.  Good thing I’m a huge Giants fan. True story – I have a friend who has a friend who is wearing a Romo jersey with her left arm in a sling and has a sign that says property of the NY Giants for Halloween! Love it! I’m not going to even mention the first 5 minutes of the game… it was so bad that I’ve erased it from my memory but I do remember the glorious win and that’s what counts! On a side note this game drew cable TV’s biggest audience of the year with 17.9 million viewers. I am so glad that so many people got to see this amazingly awesome game!

WEEK 8!

Denver @ San Francisco
After last weeks massacre at Denver I would hope that the Broncos have a better game this week. On the other hand the 49ers really need a win after losing to the 1-5 Panthers.  But if I have to pick a winner I’m going with Denver.  Denver is 2-5 on the season and San Fran is 1-6.

Jacksonville @ Dallas
Dallas is pathetic and with out Romo their hopes of a win go from dismal to worse. I have to go with Jacksonville this week.  Jacksonville is 3-4 and Dallas is 1-5 on the season.

Miami @ Cincinnati
I’m not sure if Cincinnati has what it takes to win at home. And I’m sure that Miami is all riled up after losing to Pittsburgh last week.  I think that Miami will win this one.  Miami is 3-3 and Cincinnati is 2-4 on the season

Buffalo @ Kansas City
Call me crazy but I’m going with Buffalo this week. All the odds stand against them and that’s what makes this pick so crazy.  Buffalo is 0-6 and needs a win desperately and KC is at a surprising 4-2.

Washington @ Detroit
I want another upset. Come on Detroit! You should be fresh off your bye week. Just don’t hurt McNabb.  The Redskins are 4-3 and Detroit is 1-5

Carolina @ Saint Louis
Carolina had their one win of the season they aren’t due for another win for a while. I like the Rams in this game.  Carolina is 1-5 and Saint Louis is 3-4

Green Bay @ New York Jets
Green Bay looked good last week but I think that the refs were the ones who gave them the win. I’m taking the Jets this Sunday because they’ve got to be awesomely well rested coming off their bye. Green Bay is 4-3 and the J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS are 5-1

Tennessee @ San Diego
Love you Abby but I’ve got to go with San Diego for many reasons. 1. They need the win. 2. Philip Rivers is my QB this week for fantasy football. 3.  Ryan Mathews is one of my RB’s this week for fantasy football. 4.  The Titans have a better record than the Colts and I just cant have that so the Titans need to lose. 5. The Chargers desperately need to get out of their funk.  The Titans are 5-2 while the Chargers are 2-5 on the season

Minneapolis @ New England
Ok there are a couple of different scenarios for this game.  1. Childress could grow some balls, bench Favre, start Tavaris Jackson and beat the Pats (this is the best {and my favorite} but least likely scenario in my opinion) 2 Favre tells Childress that he’s starting (because everyone knows that Favre is actually the coach of the Vikings), the Patriots are like sharks and smell the blood as soon as he hobbles onto the field, and the defense tears Favre apart limb from limb on the very first drive. This will take Favre out not only the rest of the game but for life and he will actually have to start using a walker to get around in day-to-day living. Jackson will replace him and pull the team to victory (this is also a good scenario but not the best) The 3rd scenario is like the second only Favre plays longer and when he finally gets hurt he refuses to get off the field and stays in the whole game and hands the Patriots a win on a silver platter. (This is my least favorite scenario but the most likely one in the real world. I mean we just saw the same scenario last week against Green Bay) Patriots this should be an easy win for you but I hope you blow it.  Patriots are 5-1 and the Vikings are a sad 2-4

Tampa Bay @ Arizona
Arizona is 2-0 at home so I am going to go with Arizona on this game. Tampa Bay is 4-2 on the season and 2-0 on the road but I am still going with Arizona. The Cardinals are 3-3 on the season.

Seattle @ Oakland
I hope this is a good game but I have to go with Oakland after that win last week even though Seattle is 4-2.  Oakland is making a comeback this season I think at 3-4

Pittsburgh @ New Orleans
The Saints need this win after being embarrassed by the Browns last week.  I’m going with the Saints. Hopefully the refs will make the right calls this time and not give the game to Pittsburgh.  The Steelers are 5-1 and the Saints are 4-3

Houston @ Indianapolis
Can’t wait for Monday Night Football! Another divisional game and my other favorite team is playing this Monday. They both have the same record in the AFC South at 4-2. Obviously I want the Colts to win. I missed them last week while they were on their bye week and I am happy that they are back this week. Make me proud Indi. Make me proud!

This week’s byes are the Falcons, Ravens, Bears, Browns, Giants and Eagles

Enjoy! GO COLTS!!!!!!!

PS a special thanks to my mom for editing for me!
