Regular Season Week 14
This week has been a great week
so far. Monday, I was delighted to see that both McAdoo and Reese were fired
and that Eli was named the starting QB again. Thinking I needed surgery I went
ahead and wrapped all my Christmas presents so that’s all done. And today, I
saw a specialist and she feels that I do NOT need surgery at this time, and is
giving me the go ahead to return to work! Now, if the Giants beat the Cowboys
and I win in both of my fantasy leagues and continue further into the playoffs
it would pretty much be one of the best weeks this year.
I went 13-3 on my
picks, won in one league and lost in the other fantasy league. My records are
8-5 and 5-8. Somehow I am playoff bound in both leagues.….
Let’s
recap week thirteen.
Redskins @ Cowboys 14-38
After
the first couple of minutes I thought I had made a bad decision on picking the
Cowboys for the win, but they just started out slow. It also helped that the Redskins
continually shot themselves in the foot.
Patriots @ Bills 23-3
There isn’t much to
say about this game. It was terrible to watch and the Bills imploded. Gronk had
a nasty late hit but at least he’s suspended a game, so there’s that.
Vikings @ Falcons
14-9
The Falcons are just
not the team they were last year. They continue to struggle on the road and at
home. On the other hand, the Vikings
continue to dominate.
49ers @ Bears 15-14
The
Bears should have won the game but 49ers kicker Robbie Gould kicked the game
winning field goal in the final seconds.
Texans @ Titans 13-24
Fun
fact, when the Titans win they sing “Celebrate good times come on” in their
locker room after the game. They must be
singing that song a lot this season.
Buccaneers @ Packers 20-26 OT
Aaron Rodger
may play again this season, especially if the Packers continue to win! They fought
for that win, it took going to overtime, but they got it done.
Broncos @ Dolphins 9-35
It’s
hard to believe that the Broncos were Super Bowl Champions just a few short
years ago. The Jake Cutler led Dolphins annihilated Denver.
Chiefs @ Jets 31-38
I knew
I should have picked the Jets to win this game. I have no idea what happened to
the Chiefs, they are straight up terrible. The Jets didn’t win this game the
Chiefs lost it. It was entertaining to watch KC’s Marcus Peters throw the
yellow flag into the stands in frustration.
Colts @ Jaguars 10-30
Bortles
and Fournette were lethal against the Colts. Indy didn’t have a chance.
Lions @ Ravens 20-44
The Lions got stomped; Matthew Stafford literally had cleat marks
on his hand. The Ravens are on the up
and up, and might I add that the Ravens kicker was one of my top scorers on my
fantasy team! Yay for kickers!
Browns @ Chargers 10-19
The Chargers defense is the reason they win games and this game
wasn’t any different.
Panthers @ Saints 21-31
I just knew the Panthers would blow it. I just wish that Saints RB
Kamara would share more of the carries with Ingram, as he is on my fantasy
team. Oh well, at least I got the pick right.
Giants @ Raiders 17-24
It was
SO SAD seeing Eli on the sideline and I’m not going to lie, I cried a little
during the NFL countdown when the talking heads talked about Eli and the
injustice he was enduring. I was happy to see Geno Smith turn the ball over a
couple of times and had hoped there would have been a higher number of
turnovers at his hands. As for McAdoo, I
have nothing nice to say about him so this will be brief. Good riddance. Don’t
let the door hit you on your way out. Bye Felicia.
Rams @ Cardinals 32-16
The
Rams continue to win and the Cardinals continue to be mediocre. I’m ok with
this.
Eagles @ Seahawks 10-24
As a
Giants fan, this game was very entertaining and enjoyable to watch. Russell Wilson was clutch and the Seahawks
won.
Steelers @ Bengals 23-20
This
has been the third week in a row that the Steelers have played from behind and
then won it right at the end. I don’t think they are as great as everyone is
saying they are.
WEEK 14
Thursday, December
7th
Saints (9-3) @ Falcons (7-5) [8:25pm NBC]
Division
rivalry, I’m picking the Saints.
Sunday, December 10th
Colts (3-9) @ Bills (6-6) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the
Bills, they should be able to beat
the Colts…
Cowboys (6-6) @ NY
Giants (2-10) [1pm FOX]
With McAdoo and
Reese gone Eli gets his starting position back. #10 jersey sales were up
tremendously this week. There was an outpouring of love for Eli this week and I
think the height of it will show at Sunday’s game. Hopefully the Giants will
win this game for him. Regardless, it’ll be good to see him back under center.
My heart says to pick the Giants… I’m
going to pick the Cowboys and prepare to be wrong. GO GMEN!!!!!!
Vikings (10-2) @ Panthers (8-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m
picking the Vikings.
Raiders (6-6) @ Chiefs (6-6) [1pm CBS]

I’m
picking the Bengals
Packers (6-6) @ Browns (0-12) [1pm FOX]
I’m
picking the Packers.
Lions (6-6) @ Buccaneers (4-8) [1pm FOX]
If
Stafford plays the whole game the Lions will win. I’m picking the Lions
