Regular Season Week 12

Happy Thanksgiving!!!! This is the first time in years that I am not traveling for my favorite holiday. I figure I’ve been out of state for the past two weekends so it was time to stay put for at least one weekend. Last weekend I flew down to NC and surprised my Charlotte friends. It was an amazing weekend but another weekend that I didn’t watch a good deal of football (I would have loved to see the Panthers beat up on the Redskins at home though!) We’re heading into week 12 and we still have 2 undefeated teams, New England, and Carolina.  I went 7-7 on my picks, the Giants didn’t lose AND I won in both fantasy leagues, week 11 was decent.

Let’s recap week eleven.

Titans @ Jaguars 13-19
How funny the AFC South is. They are just about as bad as the NFC East. This was a must win for both teams but the Jags got it and it’s safe to say that the Titans season is over. Sorry Tennessee fans.

Raiders @ Lions 13-18
The Lions have won 2 in a row now (that’s not a typo) but I think it’s a lot too late for this season.  But don’t give up hope, because hope gets you through the tough times. Before this becomes a hallmark card I’ll just stop and go to the next game…

Colts @ Falcons 24-21
The old guys won the game for the Colts, no I’m not talking about Brett Favre, he’s still retired, I’m talking about Adam Vinatieri, the 42-year-old kicker and Matt Hasselbeck 40-year-old backup QB. These guys are clutch. As far as I’m concerned keep Luck on the sideline where he can’t turn the ball over. (I’ll say the same thing for Peyton until he’s healthy) As for the Falcons, I knew the beginning of their winning season was a fluke.

Rams @ Ravens 13-16
The Ravens FINALLY get a win but lost QB Joe Flacco and RB Justin Forsett for the rest of the season due to season ending injuries. Sorry Ravens fans, there is always next year.

Buccaneers @ Eagles 45-17
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for doing the Giants a solid! Really, thank you. Thank you.

Broncos @ Bears 17-15
I’m glad the Broncos got the win, and I agree that Peyton shouldn’t play if injured, but all of this talk that Peyton is done and his career is over is just nonsense. So just stop.  Peyton is not done and he’s not going to be like Brett Favre; he just needs to get healthy again.

Jets @ Texans 17-24
The Texans have won 2 in a row and the Jets are playing like the Jets of yesteryear. I’d like to say I’m surprised, but I’m not. I did get to watch the end of this game as I was sitting in the Newark airport, but it seamed like every time I looked up Fitzpatrick threw an interception and that was frustrating being that I had started him this week in one of my fantasy teams.

Redskins @ Panthers 16-44
Cam threw a career high 5 TDs against the Redskins and it was glorious getting off the plane and checking the score and seeing the rout happening back in Charlotte. Good job Carolina, the Giants thank you, you made their bye week even better.

Cowboys  @ Dolphins 24-14
Romo is back and the Cowboys won a game, and people are freaking out everywhere saying they are the best team in the NFC East...  as Chris Berman says “C’MON MAN!”

Chiefs @ Chargers 33-3
Well, the Chargers have lost six straight now. It’s safe to say that their season is over. Better luck next year. As for the Chiefs, they’ve won 4 straight and have a wild card chance of making the playoffs.

Packers @ Vikings 30-13
Ditka took off the Packers vest and lookit! The Packers won! Coincidence? I think not. Go-Pack-Go. Way to bounce back!

49ers @ Seahawks 13-29
Even after putting Kaepernick on IR and starting Blaine Gabbert the 49ers still couldn’t get a win in Seattle. They even had help with Marshawn Lynch out for the Seahawks, but still couldn’t get it done. Not that I was shocked or anything.

Bengals @ Cardinals 31-34
I got home after a fun filled, sleep deprived weekend, and couldn’t even stay up for the pregame show for this game. Needless to say I didn’t watch this game but I was glad to have predicted the winner. Bengals drop 2 in a row. Rut-row.

Bills @ Patriots 13-20
This game was SO entertaining to watch.  I must say, if I had to pick a Tom Brady face to watch it would be his face during this game. The man was pouty McPouterson for the majority of the game.  If only the Bills could have come out with the win. Oh well Rex, you at least got the win in the Meadowlands against the Jets. As for the Pats, their first loss is coming. Just wait for it. It’s going to be… Legendary.

WEEK 12

Thursday November 26th

Eagles (4-6) @ Lions (3-7) [12:30pm FOX]
I know that it’s rare that the Lions win, especially on thanksgiving, but I’m picking them for the win and might even sport my Detroit Lions hat for added fun.

Panthers (10-0) @ Cowboys (3-7) [4:30pm CBS]
I shit you not, the Cowboys are favored to win this game (I wish this was a sick joke)… I’ll be rooting for and picking the Panthers to win this game. #keeppounding
I’ll do a wardrobe change and sport my Panthers t-shirt for this game.

Bears (4-6) @ Packers (7-3) [8:30pm NBC]
Keeping up with wardrobe changes maybe difficult, but I could find my Bears sweatshirt… nah, by that time I hope to be in a turkey/beer/hookah coma and just enjoy a good football game. I’m picking the Packers to win.

Sunday November 29th

Rams (4-6) @ Bengals (8-2) [1:00pm FOX]
I’m picking the Bengals I don’t think they’ll drop three in a row.

Raiders (4-6) @ Titans (2-8) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Raiders to win even though their starting QB looks about 17 years old.

NY Giants (5-5) @ Redskins (4-5)  [1pm FOX]
Dear Giants, you have two choices. You can win or you can WIN. These are your only choices. I’m picking the Giants to win.

Vikings (7-3) @ Falcons (6-4) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Vikings to win.

Bills (5-5) @ Chiefs (5-5) [1pm CBS]
The Bills could win this game and should win this game. I’ll take the Bills for the win.

Saints (4-6) @ Texans (5-5) [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Texans, who suddenly have decided they can play football.

Buccaneers (5-5) @ Colts (5-5) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the old guys.  Winston is the youngest QB in the league and Hasselbeck is the oldest.

Dolphins (4-6) @ Jets (5-5) [1pm CBS]
 I’m taking the Jets.

Chargers (2-8) @ Jaguars (4-6) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Jags…

Cardinals (8-2) @ 49ers (3-7) [4:05pm FOX]
 I’m going with Arizona

Steelers (6-4) @ Seahawks (5-5) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m taking the Seahawks even though they probably won’t win.

Patriots (10-0)  @ Broncos (8-2)[8:30pm NBC]
Even though Peyton is out and they are playing the Pats, and I always pick the Pats to win, I’m picking the Broncos… GET. IT DONE.

Monday, November 30th

Ravens (3-7) @ Browns (2-8) [8:30pm ESPN]
Johnny Football has been benched after partying again during the bye week. I’m not gonna lie, if I was making as much money as Manziel, I could put the beer down for the season. SMH.  I don’ t think this kid is ever going to learn. I’m still picking the Browns to win, which is saying something. Sorry Ravens fans.

The Shenoa Report

Regular Season Week 11

We’re heading into week 11 and we’re down to 2 undefeated teams, New England, and Carolina. You know they say “On any given day, any given team can win” this will be my catch phrase for this past week. Out of all 14 games that were played only THREE home teams won. It’s safe to say that home field advantage wasn’t very present this time. Subsequently, I went 4-10 on my picks.
As I said last week, I was in Cleveland visiting my BFF so I think out of the 14 games played I watched the Bills/ Jets game and the last quarter of the Patriots/ Giants game, and after that game I was numb and didn’t care to watch anymore football.
I would like to thank my new friend Quentin for giving me score updates and good conversation on my long drive home from Cleveland (PS he’s also a Giants fan so I see good things for us in the future).
Peyton Manning broke another NFL record with most passing yards, previously held by Brett Favre, but then was benched after throwing 4 interceptions. As it turns out he hurt his foot…
Rob Ryan was fired after the Saints’ humiliating loss to the Redskins and Cam Newton’s dance after a touchdown has been a topic of conversation all week.  Bring back the celebration dances please!
Thankfully, the Giants can’t lose in week 11 (Thank God for the bye week) and they signed Hakeem Nicks back after Cruz went on IR (injure reserved)

Let’s recap week ten.

Bills @ Jets 22-17
Old Rex Ryan finally got a win in the Meadowlands!!! What an exciting game.  I laughed out loud when the Bills won, as it was amusing and funny watching Rex.

Lions @ Packers 18-16
Have you noticed the Packers haven’t won a game since Mike Ditka put on that Packers vest for the McDonalds commercial?  Crazy. When Quentin told me this score I didn’t believe him. I may have even called him a liar. Sorry man.

Cowboys @ Buccaneers 6-10
Thanks Bucs! The Giants really needed you to win! NFL

Panthers @ Titans 27-10
9-0 Guys! #keeppounding.

Bears @ Rams 37-13
Hey, well the Bears decided to show up! Sorry Bumblebees.

Saints @ Redskins 14-47
I mean, when you play a team that doesn’t have a defense you can throw a lot of TD passes. Kirk Cousins threw a career high 4 touchdowns against the Saints. Well done, Kirk or pathetic defense, Saints?

Dolphins @ Eagles 20-19
I’ve waited to say this pretty much allll season. Miami is ahead of your ami. Tehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe. Thanks Miami you really helped the Giants.

Browns @ Steelers 9-30
Big Ben was the backup and didn’t intend to play but had to come off the bench when their starter got hurt. No big deal. Sorry Brownies.

Jaguars @ Ravens 22-20
Usually I’d say, tough year to be a Jaguars fan; but now I’m saying, tough year to be a Ravens fan...

Vikings @ Raiders 30-14
The Vikings are at the top of the NFC North… Say whaaaaaaat?!

Patriots @ NY Giants 27-26
I only watched the 4th quarter of this game. And it brought me back to 8 years ago. Then, I knew we could beat the Pats and I had the same feeling this time. We didn’t do it in the regular season, but we did in the Super Bowl. Maybe we’ll have a repeat of a repeat of a repeat… this loss still stung, don’t get me wrong, but the season isn’t over and we are still at the top of the NFC East.

Chiefs @ Broncos 29-13
Poor Peyton.  That’s all I can say about this game.

Cardinals @ Seahawks 39-32
Crazy to think that the Seahawks were in the Super Bowl last year, cause they are definitely not the same team this year.

Texans @ Bengals 10-6
And another one bites the dust. The Texans handed the Bengals their first loss of the season. Oh yes, and JJ Watt picked on Andy Dalton after the game and Dalton didn’t take it gingerly.

WEEK 11

Thursday November 19th

Titans (2-7) @ Jaguars (3-6) [8:25pm NFLN]
I’m taking the Jags, and funny enough this game has playoff implications… (note their records)

Sunday November 22nd

Raiders (4-5) @ Lions (2-7) [1:00pm CBS]
I’m taking the Raiders even though the Lions beat the Packers last week.

Colts (4-5) @ Falcons (6-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m taking the Falcons.

Rams (4-5) @ Ravens (2-7)  [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Bumblebees.

Buccaneers (4-5) @ Eagles (4-5) [1pm FOX]
I’m going to pick the Eagles for the win in hopes that they lose.

Broncos (7-2) @ Bears (4-5) [1pm CBS]
Peyton isn’t playing so hopefully the Broncos defense can get this win. I’m picking the Broncos.

Jets (5-4) @ Texans (4-5) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Jets.

Redskins (4-5) @ Panthers (9-0) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Panthers! I really need this win boys!

Cowboys (2-7) @ Dolphins (4-5) [1pm FOX]
Romo is said to be back, sooooooo, I’m going to pick the Dolphins for the win.

Chiefs (4-5) @ Chargers (2-7) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m picking the Chiefs.

Packers (6-3) @ Vikings (7-2) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m picking the Vikings… as long as Ditka is wearing that vest…

49ers (3-6) @ Seahawks (4-5) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m going with the Seahawks.

Bengals (8-1)  @ Cardinals (7-2)[8:30pm NBC]
I’m taking the Cardinals.

Monday, November 23rd

Bills (5-4) @ Patriots (9-0) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Pats but hoping and praying the Bills win.

BYES: Browns, Steelers, Saints, NY Giants

The Shenoa Report
November 12, 2015
Regular Season Week 10

We’re heading into week 10 and we’re down to 3 undefeated teams, New England, Cincinnati, and Carolina. I was even more surprised to see Denver lose! I cried a little bit for Peyton.
I’m heading to Cleveland this weekend to visit my BFF !!!! So, I don’t know how much football I’ll get to watch but I’m really ok with that.

I went 8-5 on my picks, the Giants won, and I won in one of my leagues… I’ll take it.

Let’s recap week nine.

Browns @ Bengals 10-31
The Bengals continue to make history for their franchise every time they win. They’ve never been undefeated this far into the season.

Packers @ Panthers 29-37
Ok Panthers nation, I’m sorry. I really didn’t think that your team would beat the Packers. I mean, they have Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews for goodness sakes. But, they did, and I’m so proud that Charlotte finally has something to be very excited about! In years past you were the butt of a joke in the sports world, you were the Lions of Detroit. But now, you’ve made me a believer. Well done Carolina, well done.

Redskins @ Patriots 10-27
Pats win, blah blah blah. Nothing more to report.

Titans @ Saints 34-28 OT
The Titans get their second win of the season over the Saints! It kinda turns my stomach being that the Giants couldn’t get it done against them last week...

Dolphins @ Bills 17-33
The Bills have finally won another game, if I were a Bills fan I would’ve been getting worried. I was just thankful they aired this game and not the Pats game. Silver linings.

Rams @ Vikings 18-21 OT
The Vikings lost Bridgewater to a concussion but still powered through to beat the Rams in overtime.

Jaguars @ Jets 23-28
The Jets are winning again even with an injured QB. Fitzpatrick is still playing with a torn ligament in his left thumb. Sounds pretty minor but if you can’t grip a football it’s pretty major. HEY! I’ve got an idea, he could just call up Patriots personal and he could get a less inflated football so he can grip it better...

Raiders @ Steelers 35-38
I thought that the Raiders might actually pull this one off. Sadly, they did not. In other news, Big Ben got hurt again and will be out for the next few weeks. Can we count Pittsburgh out now? I hope so.

NY Giants @ Buccaneers 32-18
The game couldn’t have started much worse for the Giants with Eli throwing a pick on their first play of the game, but it ended fantastically with Trent Wade getting a fumble recovery for a touchdown on the final play of the game. It was soooooooooo nice to have JPP back on the field. For his first game back I think he did remarkably well.  We played much better on defense and special teams this week, meaning we actually showed up and made things happen, that couldn’t be said last week. The Giants are sitting pretty in first place of the NFC East, (and yes I’ll be mentioning it every week) My dad said at one point, “I like watching football with you much more than just getting a phone call every Sunday to discuss the games” My dad melts my heart sometimes.

Falcons @ 49ers 16-17
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Atlanta. #sorrynotsorry

Broncos @ Colts 24-27
I had to turn this game off right before the time ran out because I knew they would show a close up of Peyton’s face. I still can’t bring myself to watch the highlights. Poor Peyton. Damn that Luck. And to think I used to be a Colts fan…

Eagles @ Cowboys 33-27 OT
I was half right. They were tied at the end of regulation… The Eagles win was actually a good thing for the Giants and that’s all that counts.

Bears @ Chargers 22-19
I like watching the Bears because there are a lot of jokes about Jay Cutler being on his back. This game did not disappoint. And hey, the Bears even got a win out of it.

WEEK 10

Thursday November 12th

Bills (4-4) @ Jets (5-3) [8:25pm NFLN]
Old Rex Ryan will have a reunion of sorts when he comes across the state to play his old team (who is doing remarkably well after his departure). Good for the Jets.  I’m anticipating a great game, a live circus, and lots of ridiculousness.  I’m picking the Jets for the win because that’s kinda how Rex Ryan’s stories seem to end, in disappointment.

Sunday November 15th

Lions (1-7) @ Packers (6-2) [1:00pm FOX]
THE PACKERS WILL GET THIS WIN!

Cowboys (2-6) @ Buccaneers (3-5) [1pm FOX]
The Cowboys haven’t won a game since they lost Romo and I don’t see them winning this game either. I’m picking the Bucs for the win.

Panthers (8-0) @ Titans (2-6)  [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Panthers for the win.

Bears (3-5) @ Rams (4-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m taking the Rams over the Bears.

Saints (4-5) @ Redskins (3-5) [1pm FOX]
I’m going to pick the Saints for the win.

Dolphins (3-5) @ Eagles (4-4) [1pm CBS]
Man oh man, I hope the Dolphins get their act together and win this game. I’m picking the Eagles for the win but will be rooting for Miami!

Browns (2-7) @ Steelers (5-4) [1pm CBS]
Big Ben is not ruling himself out for this game… whatever. I’ll be rooting for the Browns but picking the Steelers for the win.

Jaguars (2-6) @ Ravens (2-6) [1pm CBS]
I’ll pick the Ravens for the win.

Vikings (6-2) @ Raiders (4-4) [4:05pm FOX]
This should be a good game. I’m going to pick the Raiders, why? Because everyone likes a good upset now and again.

Patriots (8-0) @ NY Giants (5-4) [4:25pm CBS]
We all know that the Giants can and have beat the Pats on numerous occasions. Why should this game be any different? If anyone can knock off their perfect record the Giants can do it. With all that being said I’m picking the Pats for the win. If the Giants don’t win this game it’s ok, they’ll just knock them off in the Super Bowl again… and again… and again. GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!

Chiefs (3-5) @ Broncos (7-1) [4:25pm CBS]
The Broncos are going to bounce back and beat the Chiefs.

Cardinals (6-2) @ Seahawks (4-4) [8:30pm NBC]
The Angry birds game. I’m going to take the Seahawks at home.

Monday, November 16th

Texans (3-5) @ Bengals (8-0) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m taking the Bengals for the win.

BYES: Chargers, Colts, 49ers, Falcons

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 9 '15 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
November 5, 2015
Regular Season Week 9

We are half way through the season. Tear. But we still have half a season left! Lets make the most of it!!!

We’re heading into week 9 and we’re down to 4 undefeated teams, New England, Cincinnati, Denver, and Carolina. I was very surprised to see Green Bay lose! There were a lot of significant injuries this past weekend. I think I touched on most of them in the recap.
I was disappointed to see that Weatherford was cut by the Jets after just one game. Coincidently, the Giants really could have used him this past weekend, being that he would’ve had enough sense to NOT get penalized for a facemask at the end of the game, giving the win to the Saints. SMH.

I went 9-5 on my picks, the Giants lost but I won in one of my leagues… I’d rather have a Giants win…

Let’s recap week eight.

Dolphins @ Patriots 7-36
I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t at all shocked about the outcome of this game. Sorry Dolphins fans.

Lions @ Chiefs 10-45
I’m pretty sure the Lions forgot that the game was in London and failed to show up. It made for an easy win for the Chiefs though.  Things got even worse for the Lions when they returned to the states with their GM (Martin Mayhew) and president (Tom Lewand) losing their jobs… Jim Caldwell (Head Coach) still has his… for now.

Buccaneers  @ Falcons 23-20 OT
I’d like to say that this was surprising loss for the Falcons but really, not so much.

Cardinals @ Browns 34-20
If this game were only the first 2 quarters then the Browns would have had an impressive win.  But there are 4 quarters in football Cleveland.

49ers @ Rams 6-27
I know I’ve said it before but the 49ers are TERRIBLE! They haven’t scored a touchdown in 2 games. They are benching QB Kaepernick and they lost Reggie Bush.  At least the Rams benefited from San Francisco’s terribleness.

NY Giants @ Saints 49-52
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Expletive, expletive, expletive!!!! Eli had 6 touchdowns and no interceptions but it wasn’t enough because our defense and special teams forgot to show up. Tough loss… expletive.

Vikings @ Bears 23-20
I mean it wasn’t a great feat to beat the Bears… Well done, Minnesota

Chargers @ Ravens 26-29
The Ravens won the game and improved to 2-6 but it came at a high cost, as they lost Steve Smith Sr. to a torn achillies.

Bengals @ Steelers 16-10
Did you see those uniforms?!?! Things that come to mind after seeing them; flight of the bumblebees, jailbirds and my eyes, my eyes I’ve gone blind!!! Big Ben is back but it wasn’t enough to get the Steelers the win. Darn. In more serious news Pittsburgh lost RB Le’Veon Bell to a season ending knee injury.

Titans @ Texans 6-20
The Titans fired head coach Ken Whisenhunt after this game. They probably should go ahead and fire the whole team and start from scratch. Congrats to Houston on actually getting a win!

Jets @ Raiders 20-34
Just when we start to think that the Jets are a good team in the NFL they go and lose to the Raiders. Fitzpatrick was injured during the game but when the back up was also injured he went back in. I guess it makes sense as to why they lost the game.

Seahawks @ Cowboys 13-12
After the Giants loss, I’m not gonna lie, I took a nap during this game. But I was glad to see that the Seahawks won. Then again I’m always glad to see Dallas lose.

Packers @ Broncos 10-29
I was wrong. I admit it. I’m happy the Broncos won, I was rooting for them. It’s a really good thing they have the best defense in the NFL. They made Aaron have a really, really, really, bad day.

Colts @ Panthers 26-29 OT
Well done Panthers! 7-0!!! Keep pounding! I wore my Panthers t-shirt in support of this game, missing Carolina.

WEEK 9

Thursday November 5th

Browns (2-6) @ Bengals (7-0) [8:25pm NFLN]
You can no longer watch this game on CBS, so I hope you have the NFL Network if you want to watch this game. It looks like the Bengals are going to go 8-0… it would be lovely if the Browns didn’t let that happen. Johnny Football is starting this game, so that should be entertaining.

Sunday November 8th

Packers (6-1) @ Panthers (7-0) [1:00pm FOX]
The Packers are angry for losing last week so I think that we will really see what Carolina is made of. I’m picking the Packers for the win, just because I think this will be the hardest game yet for the Panthers.

Redskins (3-4) @ Patriots (7-0) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Pats...

Titans (1-6) @ Saints (4-4)  [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Saints for the win.

Dolphins (3-4) @ Bills (3-4) [1pm CBS]
The Bills are coming back from their bye week. They should be refreshed and ready to go, as well as QB Tyrod Taylor!  I’m picking Buffalo for the win.

Rams (4-3) @ Vikings (5-2) [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Vikings at home.

Jaguars (2-5) @ Jets (4-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m hoping the Jets bounce back. I’m picking NY for the win.

Raiders (4-3) @ Steelers (4-4) [1pm CBS]
I’ll be rooting for the Raiders but picking the Steelers for the win.

NY Giants (4-4) @ Buccaneers (3-4) [4:05pm FOX]
Oh lord. I’m picking the Giants, though I’m not sure why, other than I love them, and I’m bias, and delusional. JPP could actually play this game and that gives me hope for the win. I’m pretty sure my cousin and friends will be at this game sooooo GO GMEN!!!!

Falcons (6-2) @ 49ers (2-6) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m picking the Falcons for the win but it could also end in a tie.

Broncos (7-0) @ Colts (3-5) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m going with the Broncos. Apparently Luck has been playing with broken ribs…

Eagles (3-4) @ Cowboys (2-5) [8:30pm NBC]
I’ve got to pick the Cowboys for the win. I have no other choice. Wait! Yes! A tie! I pick a tie!

Monday, November 9th

Bears (2-5) @ Chargers (2-6) [8:30pm ESPN]
I think the Chargers will win at home. Though no one really cares.

BYES: Ravens, Chiefs, Texans, Lions, Cardinals, Seahawks

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
