Regular Season Week 6

I would like to thank my iPhone, the text updates from friends, Inside the NFL, Sports Center, and a certain groomsman who helped me get through week 5. Without these guys and applications I wouldn’t have been able to keep up with the games last week. I was able to listen to part of the Giants Texans game and the Colts KC game while we were taking the wedding pictures but that got too distracting so I made myself give up my phone and hand it off to said groomsman who kept me up to date with the scores. I’m not gonna lie I did take my phone back quite frequently (only to check scores not to listen to the games) and right before walking down the isle I knew that the Giants and Colts had won their games.
PS my brother’s wedding was beautiful and football free.
Note to self: do not get married on a Sunday during the football season if you are a big football fan.
Here’s the recap!

Jacksonville @ Buffalo 36-26
Buffalo led this game. Yes we were all shocked as we checked the scores Sunday afternoon but we weren’t shocked that they lost. …. 0-5. oh snap Buffalo!

Denver @ Baltimore 17-31
Thanks Baltimore. I’m 3-2 in fantasy partly thanks to you.

Kansas City @ Indianapolis 9-19
A game of field goals and no Peyton Manning touchdowns… It’s probably a good thing that I only listened to 2 minutes of this game and just got the text updates.  I knew that KC wouldn’t be undefeated after this game but the Colts really need to step up their game.

Green Bay @ Washington 13-16
Green Bay I’m a little disappointed that you gave Washington the game in overtime. But I really did enjoy your store at the Mall of America. You have a couple fantastic t-shirts.  One of them is a picture of an empty Vikings trophy case with cobwebs in it and the other one said “Real women love football… the rest can stay in the kitchen” I think need that t-shirt.

St. Louis @ Detroit 6-44
HOLY *BLEEEEEEEP* Way to go Detroit! Now that’s a win! GREAT day for Lions fans. NOT a good day for Rams fans… 44 points… wow

Chicago @ Carolina 23-6
This was just sad. “Nationally syndicated morning show ACE and TJ said goodbye to a member of the show this morning following a bet involving the Carolina Panthers. White Shadow bet his job that the PANTHERS, his hometown team, would win a game before week 5 of the regular season. The PANTHERS loss to the BEARS puts them 0-5 for the season -- and SHADOW lived up to his end of the bet and resigned.”
Carolina you should be ashamed of yourself and Shadow I hope you have learned your lesson on things NOT to bet on, example, the Carolina Panthers.

Tampa Bay @ Cincinnati 24-21
Tampa Bay has showed that Cincinnati is in fact not a force to be reckoned with.

Atlanta @ Cleveland 20-10
Atlanta is at the top of their division and Cleveland at the bottom of theirs. Tough break Brownies maybe next time.

New York Giants @ Houston 34-10
I am so proud of the Giants!  Nicks is killing it on the field and on my fantasy team! I got to listen to some of this game before the official wedding pictures were taken. I was hiding my phone behind my bouquet and listening to the game while some of my family was snapping pictures. I look very happy in all those pictures J  And then right before the wedding was to start I was able to freely give my phone back to my groomsman knowing that both of my teams had won their games.  PS Giants you are looking GREAT and you have helped out the Colts by beating the Texans!

New Orleans @ Arizona 20-30
Way to go Arizona I really didn’t think you had a win in you.

Tennessee @ Dallas 34-27
Thanks for the win Tennessee I just love that the Cowboys are 1-3.

San Diego @ Oakland 27-35
Really Chargers? Really? Oakland is now ahead of you in the standings. It’s safe to say that this year its anyone’s game.

Philadelphia @ San Francisco 27-24
Well San Francisco you are well on your way to a first round draft pick… you’re only competition is the Panthers. … and the Bills…

Minnesota @ New York Jets 20-29
Let me start by first congratulating Favre for his 500th touchdown pass. I will next congratulate him on the interception he threw to give the game to the J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!!!  Randy Moss got more action on the field with the Vikings than with the Patriots but not enough for a win. So glad that the Jets were able to take the victory away from Favre and the Vikings especially after the way Favre treated the Jets.  And for all those Viking fans that I met last weekend I am truly sorry for trash talking your team but when Favre retires (for real) I’ll promptly stop.

WEEK 6

I was talking with a friend and we discussed that this is a great football season because pretty much any team right now has a chance.  Key words are “pretty much” .

Miami @ Green Bay
Miami is coming off a bye week and a two loss streak  while Green Bay is coming off a depressing loss in which they gave the game to Washington. Both teams need a win but I think that Green Bay is going to have to fight harder to win this week. I want to pick Green Bay to win…. We’ll see.

San Diego @ Saint Louis
Both teams are coming off of pathetic losses but the Rams have the more humiliating of the two. I am not sure they can bounce back. I pick the Chargers to win this one.
.
Baltimore @ New England
New England is coming off their bye week and trading Randy Moss to the Vikings. How great would it be if after all that rest and drama behind them that Baltimore still kicks their butt. That’s what I’m hoping for.

Cleveland @ Pittsburgh
Roethlisberger is back. Blah. Cleveland you have my permission to hit him as much as you possibly can. Lets go Brownies!

Kansas City @ Houston
Now that KC is not undefeated they should seek vengeance on the division that put them there.  It’s ok you can take out your loss to the Colts on Houston. I’m ok with that. Go Chiefs! (that’s nice but who are the Chefs.)

Detroit @ New York Giants
Giants are looking GREAT but after last week so is Detroit…(I know it sounded weird coming out of my mouth as I typed it)  G-Men don’t put your guard down, play hard and don’t give up. I want you to be 4-2 Sunday night..

Atlanta @ Philadelphia
Just because Vick is out doesn’t mean anything. Dear Atlanta , stomp those eagles. Love shenoa.

Seattle @ Chicago
Seattle is also coming off a bye week and Chicago had an easy win against the Panthers. This could be anyone’s game but I’m pretty sure that Chicago will win this one at home.

New Orleans @ Tampa Bay
The Saints are 3rd in their division while Tampa Bay is right above them in 2nd.  Saints need the win but I like Tampa this time.

New York Jets @ Denver
Well a Jets win hurts the Patriots. J-E-T-S! JETS. JETS. JETS!!!!! Its weird growing up I was never really a Jets fan but right now they are pretty cool in my book. Sorry Denver I like the Jets in this game.

Oakland @ San Francisco
Sorry San Francisco I don’t see you winning this one… will you go 0-6 this week? Make me a liar

Dallas @ Minnesota
Favre might not play and I hate Dallas so common sense says LETS GO VIKINGS!
Now I must share with you what was said on Inside the NFL this week
“What I wanted to ask was do they coach players on how to retire. Because I think Barry Sanders was the last football player who retired correctly. He just disappeared is what he did. You know Brett Favre is going to end up at the end of the season in an adult diaper trying to stay in the pocket giving it this… Please just retire already! … “ ~David Feherty
I’ll be watching the game and in honor of my new sister I will be rooting for Minnesota this week. Favre or no Favre…. Hopefully no Favre…

Indianapolis @ Washington
I get to watch this game and am oh so excited. I want to see Peyton put up 4 TD’s and no interceptions. The Giants helped the Colts last week so now the Colts can help the Giants this week.

Tennessee @ Jacksonville
I just picked up Mike Thomas as one of my wide receivers for fantasy so I hope he has a good game against Tennessee. Lets go Jags!

And that’s how I see it this week. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading because I sure have enjoyed sharing. Go GIANTS AND Go COLTS!!!!!!
