The Shenoa Report Week 9 '19 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 31, 2019
Regular Season Week 9

Happy Halloween! As you know, Halloween brings candy and with candy brings player parallels. Looking at my fantasy football roster I’m going to have to associate Aaron with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, because that’s the best candy in the history of candy. Tom Brady would have to be black licorice, because unless you’re a Patriots fan, nobody likes him, yet they still make that dumb stupid candy and it still sells. Erik Ebron would have to be Butter Fingers, because … yeah. And DeSean Jackson would be candy corn because you just can’t seem to get rid of him.

In non football news, the Nationals have won the World Series and Stephen Curry is out for a couple of months with a broken hand for the Warriors.

I went 14-1 on my picks this week! I don’t really want to discuss fantasy or the Giants. The Patriots and 49ers are still the only undefeated teams left going into week 9 and the Bengals and Dolphins still haven’t gotten a win.

Here is the recap for week eight.

Redskins @ Vikings 9-19
Kirk Cousins was victorious against his former team even though he didn’t throw a single touchdown. Dalvin Cook was the only guy who had a touchdown in this game.

Seahawks @ Falcons 27-20
The Seahawks bounced back and got the win in Atlanta, while the Falcons continued their downward spiral.

Eagles @ Bills 31-13
I knew this would be a trap game for the Bills! Sorry Bills fans, sit down, be humble.

Chargers @ Bears 17-16
This is the only game I picked incorrectly. And the Bears really should have won, except Chicago’s kicker missed a field goal as time expired. The Bears are suffering again this season from the curse of the kicker.

NY Giants @ Lions 26-31
I knew the Giants would blow it this week, but what made it worse was my opponent in fantasy had Matt Stafford as his quarterback… Stafford thew 3 touchdown passes. Danny Jones had 4 touchdown passes, but he was on my bench…

Buccaneers @ Titans 23-27
The Titans have won two in a row after coming back to beat the Bucs. It helped that Jamis Winston threw 2 interceptions.

Broncos @ Colts 13-15
Adam Vinatieri has been struggling a lot this season, but he was clutch when he made the game winning 51 yard field goal with 22 seconds left in the game.

Bengals @ Rams 10-24
This game was held in London. It was a long trip across the pond and back again, especially for the Bengals. They are still winless as the Rams beat up on them. After going 0-8 Cincinnati benched Andy Dalton, on his birthday!

Cardinals @ Saints 9-31
Drew Brees was back under center and passed for 373 yards and 3 touchdowns in his return after thumb surgery. I’m sure Saints fans are glad he is back, and throwing touchdowns.

Jets @ Jaguars 15-29
Sam Darnold was definitely still rattled, throwing three more interceptions this game. This was good news for me, as I started the Jacksonville defense in fantasy.

Panthers @ 49ers 13-51
This game was embarrassing for the Panthers. The 49ers, on the other hand, remain unbeaten and seem to be better than Rice A Roni, the San Francisco treat! Ding! Ding!

Browns @ Patriots 13-27
The Browns are not the team that I thought they would be this season. Bill Belichick racked up his 300th career coaching win.

Raiders @ Texans 24-27
This was a close game and even though the Texans got the win it came at a costly price. J.J. Watt tore his pectoral muscle and will miss the rest of the season.

Packers @ Chiefs 31-24
Patrick Mahomes did not start this game and backup QB Matt Moore tried to lead the Chiefs to victory. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, they were playing Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Aaron Rodgers had 3 touchdown passes and basically dominated the game.

Dolphins @ Steelers 14-27
The Dolphins were up 14-0 in this game and it didn’t look good for the Steelers. Luckily for the Steelers they were playing the Dolphins and Miami couldn’t keep it together to upset Pittsburgh.

WEEK 9
Thursday, October 31st

49ers (7-0) @ Cardinals (3-4-1) [8:20pm FOX/NFLN]
I think that the 49ers will beat the Cardinals and stay perfect through week 9.

Sunday, November 3rd
Texans (5-3) @ Jaguars (4-4) [9:30am NFLN]
This is yet another London game. The Jaguars seem to do well across the pond, 3-3. The Texans have never made the trip and are without J.J. Watt. For the fact that Houston has never been to London before, I’m picking the Jags to win.

Redskins (1-7) @ Bills (5-2) [1pm FOX]
I think the Bills will bounce back and win this game.

Vikings (6-2) @ Chiefs (5-3) [1pm FOX]
The Chiefs have not won a home game yet this season. They may still be without Mahomes. I’m going to pick the Vikings to win this game.

Jets (1-6) @ Dolphins (0-7) [1pm CBS]
I think that the Jets might bounce back but this might just be the game that the Dolphins win. I’m picking the Jets though.

Bears (3-4) @ Eagles (4-4) [1pm FOX]
Until the Bears fix their offense problems, I’m going to have to pick the Eagles for the win.

Colts (5-2) @ Steelers (3-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m going to pick the Colts to get the W.

Titans (4-4) @ Panthers (4-3) [1pm CBS]
After the Panthers got annihilated last week, I’m not sure they can bounce back and win this game. The Titans are coming off two wins in a row. I’m going to pick the Titans to win this game.

Lions (3-3-1) @ Raiders (3-4) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m picking the Raiders to beat the Lions.

Buccaneers (2-5) @ Seahawks (6-2) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m taking the Seahawks in this game.

Browns (2-5) @ Broncos (2-6) [4:25pm CBS]
Both teams only have 2 wins. There is a lot of drama surrounding the Browns. I’m picking the Broncos for the win.

Packers (7-1) @ Chargers (3-5) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking the Packers to win this game.

Patriots (8-0) @ Ravens (5-2) [8:20pm NBC]
I’d love to see the Ravens knock off the Pats, but it’s not likely. I’m picking the Pats for the win.

Monday, November 4th
Cowboys (4-3) @ NY Giants (2-6) [8:15pm ESPN]
I'll be rooting for the Giants and picking the Cowboys for the win, because I’m a realist

BYE: Falcons, Bengals, Rams, Saints

The Shenoa Report Week 8 '19 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 24, 2019
Regular Season Week 8

Week 7 was much better all around, except for the Giants... They were terrible. I went 10-4 on my picks and finally won in fantasy. It helped that I started Aaron Rodgers, who racked up 45 points! I am now 4-3 in my fantasy league, 2nd place in my division and 3rd overall. The Patriots and 49ers are still the only undefeated teams left going into week 7 and the Bengals and Dolphins still haven’t gotten a win.

Here is the recap for week seven.

Chiefs @ Broncos 30-6Patrick Mahomes went out of the game with a displaced knee cap and didn’t return. It was gross. But, even with Mahomes out the Broncos were not able to put pressure on the Chiefs. KC walked all over the Broncos, their defense showed up in a big way. All the experts were saying that Phillip Lindsay was going to have a monsterous game over the Chiefs depleted defense… He put up 4 points for my fantasy team. I thought I was going to have another losing week.

Rams @ Falcons 37-10My fantasy woes continued when I found out that Alvin Kamara would not play for the Saints this week so I frantically drafted Rams RB3 Henderson in a pinch. I figured any points would be better than no points. Henderson gave me another 4 points… It was looking pretty bleak in the fantasy world. As for this game, Jalen Ramsey gave the Rams the defensive boost they were hoping for and the Falcons nightmare continued. Devonta Freeman got ejected from the game after getting into it with Rams Aaron Donald. Matt Ryan left the game early after awkwardly bending his right leg after yet another sack and did not return to the game. Todd Gurley was back from injury for the Rams and was able to get a touchdown, unfortunately for me that touchdown was to the wrong Rams RB.

Dolphins @ Bills 21-31The Bills did not look good at the beginning of this game, and I thought it might be a trap game for them. They actually had to rally from a 5 point deficit to beat the Dolphins. The Dolphins had the lead going into the fourth quarter and then it was like a light switch was flicked and the Bills defense showed up. The Bills scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to beat the Dolphins.

Jaguars @ Bengals 27-17The Jags didn’t need Jalen Ramsey to beat the Bengals, other defenders stepped up. It was Yannick Ngakoue, easy for you to say, who had a pick 6 at the end of the game to seal the win for the Jags.

Vikings @ Lions 42-30
I said that it all depended on which Kirk Cousins showed up for the Vikings. He matched his career high with four touchdown passes as the Vikings beat the Lions. This is why I don’t pick the Lions to win, because when I do, they don’t.

Raiders @ Packers 24-42I’m not gonna lie, I thought about benching Aaron Rodgers and starting Danny Jones in fantasy league because I was sick and tired of Aaron only putting up 8 to 12 points. It’s a good thing I didn’t, because Aaron put up 45 points with 429 throwing yards, 5 passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown and a perfect quarterback rating for the day. Thank you Aaron for putting a W in my win column.

Texans @ Colts 23-30The Colts took the number one spot in the AFC South with this win over the Texans. Colts fans are saying Andrew Luck who? Jacoby Brissett is holding his own as the Colts starting QB, having four touchdowns in this win over the Texans.

Cardinals @ NY Giants 27-21The Giants are stupid. This is a game they should have easily won, so obviously they screwed it up. Since gaining the starting job, Danny Jones has had something like 11 interceptions. They should just put Eli back in the lineup if Danny is going to play like this. It isn’t any fun being a Giants fan this season, and I have said that for too many seasons in a row now. NY made the Cardinals look good, really good, too good. They aren’t that great. Thanks Gmen for ruining another weekend.

49ers @ Redskins 9-0This final score was one of the most shocking. I mean, I knew the 49ers would win but I thought they would have at least four touchdowns in doing so. As it turns out, there were just 3 field goals by Robbie Gould to give the 49ers the win. The game looked almost like it was being played in a fish bowl with all the rain that fell.

Chargers @ Titans 20-23Melvin Gordon may be back for the Chargers but it isn’t the same guy the Chargers fans expected, as he could have scored the game winning touchdown from the goal line with 15 seconds left but instead fumbled the ball and the Chargers lost the game.

Saints @ Bears 36-25Mitchell Trubisky was back for the Bears but their offense still needs a lot of work. When they get both offense and defense on the same page they will be unstoppable. On the other hand, the Saints haven’t lost a game since Teddy Bridgewater started for injured Drew Brees. Alvin Kamara also didn’t play in this game but it didn’t seem to matter much. Saints win.

Ravens @ Seahawks 30-16The struggle was real for the Seahawks on Sunday. They couldn’t stop Lamar Jackson, who I believe has more rushing yards than the total of 8 NFL teams. The Ravens defense also scored on a couple of Seahawks turnovers.

Eagles @ Cowboys 10-37The Cowboys slaughtered the Eagles on offense and defense Sunday night. Ezekiel Elliot ran all over the Eagles defense while Carson Wentz had an interception and two of the three lost fumbles for the Eagles. It was embarrassing, yet as a Giants fan, thrilling to watch.

Patriots @ Jets 33-0Speaking of embarrassing… This game was ugly. Jets quarterback, Sam Darnald, looked lost and overwhelmed. In my opinion they should have pulled him, just to give him a break, and to dampen the nightmares that were sure to come after the game if he was even able to sleep at all that night. Darnold had five turnovers in the Patriots shut out of the Jets.

WEEK 8
Thursday, October 24th

Redskins (1-6) @ Vikings (5-2) [8:20pm FOX/NFLN]I’m picking the Vikings to win this game, though I do wonder how it will feel for the Redskins defense to get pressure on their former QB Kirk Cousins, and vice versa with Case Keenum and the Vikings defense.

Sunday, October 27th
Seahawks (5-2) @ Falcons (1-6) [1pm FOX]After another humiliating loss for the Seahawks last week I think they will bounce back and beat the Falcons.

Eagles (3-4) @ Bills (5-1) [1pm FOX]I think this is going to be a trap game for the Bills. I am picking the Eagles to win.

Chargers (2-5) @ Bears (3-3) [1pm FOX]I think the Bears will get this win even though they are struggling this year, the Chargers are struggling more.

NY Giants (2-5) @ Lions (2-3-1) [1pm FOX]Well, after that awful game last week I’m back to not picking the Giants until they win again… I’m picking the Lions to win this game.

Buccaneers (2-4) @ Titans (3-4) [1pm FOX]I’m taking the Titans for the win.

Broncos (2-5) @ Colts (4-2) [1pm CBS]The Broncos have a good defense, sometimes. I’m taking the Colts in this matchup.

Bengals (0-7) @ Rams (4-3) [1pm CBS]I’m pretty sure that the Bengals are going 0-8. I’m picking the Rams for the win.

Cardinals (3-3-1) @ Saints (6-1) [1pm CBS]Drew Brees might actually play this week. Hopefully Alvin Kamara is back. I’m picking the Saints for the win.

Jets (1-5) @ Jaguars (3-4) [1pm CBS]I’m picking the Jags for the win. I wonder if Sam Darnald is still rattled?

Panthers (4-2) @ 49ers (6-0) [4:05pm FOX]I’m picking the 49ers to win this game.

Browns (2-4) @ Patriots (7-0) [4:25pm CBS] Josh Gordon is out for the season. I almost dropped Mohamed Sanu, but then he was traded to the Pats so I think I’ll keep him on my bench. I’m pretty sure that the Patriots are going to stay perfect another week. I’m picking them to win.

Raiders (3-3) @ Texans (4-3) [4:24pm CBS]I’m picking the Texans to win but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Raiders upset them.

Packers (6-1) @ Chiefs (5-2) [8:20pm NBC] I heard on the radio today that Patrick Mahomes wanted to start this game. I don’t know if it’ll happen. Either way I’m picking the Packers to win this game.

Monday, October 28th
Dolphins (0-6) @ Steelers (2-4) [8:15pm ESPN]I’m picking the Steelers to win this game and for the Dolphins to still be winless.

The Shenoa Report Week 7 '19 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 17, 2019
Regular Season Week 7

This week I’m writing you from the hospital. Don’t worry, everything is ok. Really. I’m sitting with my mom waiting for my dad to get out of surgery. He’s ok too, and right before they wheeled him in he told me I better finish this report so that when he gets home he can share it with his friends. My dad is great, and because of him I am that crazy NY Giants fan. Every Sunday we have our weekly football phone call. When I lived in NC it was those phone calls and this blog that kept us connected.

He’s out of surgery and everything went well. He’ll be able to share the report tonight!

Week 6 was marginally better for me and my picks. I went 9-5 and am 3-3 in my fantasy league. The Patriots and 49ers are still the only undefeated teams left going into week 7 and the Bengals and Dolphins still haven’t gotten a win.

Here is the recap for week six.

NY Giants @ Patriots 14-35
Neither team looked all that great, and that’s saying something. The score was quite close the first few quarters and the Giants actually looked like they had a chance for just a moment... then the fourth quarter came and the bottom fell out.

Panthers @ Buccaneers 37-26
The Bucs looked incredibly bad this game. Jamis Winston had multiple interceptions and fumbles, as the Bucs had 6 turnovers. On the other hand they made the Panthers defense look amazing.

Seahawks @ Browns 32-28
The Browns scored two touchdowns in the first quarter and shocked the Seahawks. Then the Seahawks decided to show up and shocked the Browns by winning the game.

Texans @ Chiefs 31-24
Tyreek Hill is back for the Chiefs and his first touchdown catch was incredible. It looked like he jumped 7 feet in the air over his defenders to secure the ball and run it in for a touchdown. The Chiefs looked unstoppable, until someone fell on Patrick Mahomes’ ankle and he hobbled around for the rest of the game, that they ultimately lost.

Redskins @ Dolphins 17-16
The Redskins seemed to have this game secured until the Dolphins put Fitzmagic into the game because they needed a “spark”. Fitzpatrick lead the team down the field and an extra point would have tied the game and sent it into overtime. The Dolphins coach wanted to win so badly that he called for the 2 point conversion and they didn’t convert. The Dolphins are still without a win this season.

Eagles @ Vikings 20-38
Kirk Cousins had 4 touchdown passes, 3 of which went to Stefon Diggs as the Vikings walked all over the Eagles.

Saints @ Jaguars 13-6
I needed Alvin Kamara and Jared Cook to have a big game for the Saints as well as the Jags putting up big defensive points. Neither happened, this lead to a fantasy loss for me.

Bengals @ Ravens 17-23
The Bengals scored first, but the Ravens scored more often. Another Bengals loss came as no surprise. They too have not gotten a win this season.

49ers @ Rams 20-7
Are the 49ers really this good or are the Rams not the Rams of last season. I think, maybe both. The 49ers defense allowed only one score and their offense is on point with Jimmy Garoppolo under center.

Falcons @ Cardinals 33-34
Kyler Murray has seemed to find his place in the NFL. The rookie quarterback threw for 340 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Falcons came back in a big way, but the Cardinals fought till the end to secure the win.

Titans @ Broncos 0-16
This was the most surprising game for me this week. The Titans aren’t terrible but were shut out in Denver. They even benched Marcus Mariota and put in Ryan Tannehill to see if that would help them score points. It didn’t. The Broncos defense was legit this game.

Cowboys @ Jets 22-24
I got this pick wrong and I am totally ok with it. Everyone, myself included, thought that the Cowboys were amazing winning the first 3 games of the season. As it turns out, they weren’t playing really good teams and have lost the last 3. The Jets got their first win of the season and I’m sure it felt oh so good.

Steelers @ Chargers 24-17
The Steelers, with their third string quarterback, beat the Chargers. Ouch. The Chargers have to get it together. On the fantasy football side, I am glad that Hunter Henry is back for them, and for my team.

Lions @ Packers 22-23
The officiating in the league is horrible. There is talk of full time officials. It needs to happen. The Lions should have won this game. Trey Flowers, who has never in his entire career been called for illegal hands to the face, was flagged not once but twice for this penalty. Trey never touched the guy’s helmet. His hand was on the collar. The two penalties helped advance the ball late in the fourth quarter for the Packers. This allowed the Packers to kick a field goal with 2 seconds left in the game. The Packers made the field goal and “won” the game. Sorry Detroit fans, you were robbed.

WEEK 7

Thursday, October 17th

Chiefs (4-2) @ Broncos (2-4) [8:20pm FOX/NFLN]
The Chiefs have lost two in a row and the Broncos have won two in a row coming into this game. The Chiefs are pretty beat up and don’t have a great defense. The Broncos have a good defense but have been struggling in the air on offense. I think this will be a close game but the Chiefs will squeak out a win.

Sunday, October 20th

Rams (3-3) @ Falcons (1-5) [1pm FOX]
Both teams have been struggling this season, the Falcons seemingly moreso. I’m going to pick the Rams to win. They acquired Jalen Ramsey this week and that should help their defense, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Falcons pulled it off.

Dolphins (0-5) @ Bills (4-1) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bills to win this game. They are fresh off their bye and I don’t think Fitzmagic is enough to give the Dolphins a win.

Jaguars (2-4) @ Bengals (0-6) [1pm CBS]
The Jags no longer have Ramsey but that may help them in the long run. There is no more division in the team having him gone. I’m going to pick the Jags to win this game.

Vikings (4-2) @ Lions (2-2-1) [1pm FOX]
The Lions must be hoppin mad after the way the game went Monday night. This should be a good game. It all depends on which Kirk Cousins shows up for the Vikings. If he has a good game they will win if he doesn’t the Lions will win. I’m going to pick Detroit at home.

Raiders (3-2) @ Packers (5-1) [1pm CBS]
I’m going to take the Packers in this game. Hopefully there will be some receivers to catch Aaron’s passes for lots and lots of touchdowns.

Texans (4-2) @ Colts (3-2) [1pm CBS]
This should be a pretty evenly matched game. I’m picking the Texans to win this one.

Cardinals (2-3-1) @ NY Giants (2-4) [1pm FOX]
Had this game been week 3 I would, without hesitation, pick the Giants… Week 7 seems to be a different story. Kyler Murry is getting better and better every game with the Cardinals and the Giants, once again, are injury ridden. But, the Giants are at home, and Saquan Barkley might just play… I’m picking the Giants for the win.

49ers (5-0) @ Redskins (1-5) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m picking the 49ers to win this game. I don’t think the Redskins have much of a chance.

Chargers (2-4) @ Titans (2-4) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m hoping that the Chargers will bounce back but they haven’t impressed me in the last few games. I think I’m going to pick the Titans to win this game

Saints (5-1) @ Bears (3-2) [4:25pm FOX]
Kamara is questionable for the Saints and that makes me extremely nervous. I hope things change soon, for the better. Even though the Bears have a great defense I’m going to pick the Saints for the win.

Ravens (4-2) @ Seahawks (5-1) [4:25pm FOX].
I’m picking the Seahawks for the win. It’s hard to go against the 12th man.

Eagles (3-3) @ Cowboys (3-3) [8:20pm NBC]
I’d like this game to end in a tie. That’s not very likely though. I guess I’ll pick the Cowboys for the win.

Monday, October 21st

Patriots (6-0) @ Jets (1-4) [8:15pm ESPN]
As much as I’d like the Jets to win, and I’ll be rooting for them for sure, I’m picking the Pats to win this game.

BYE: Browns, Steelers, Buccaneers, Panthers

The Shenoa Report wk 6 '19 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 10, 2019
Regular Season Week 6

Cancer sucks. We have all been personally affected by that horrible word. In the month of October, while watching the NFL you used to see a lot of pink on the uniforms. This was to show support, awareness, and the fight for breast cancer, research, those lost, and survivors. Recently, the NFL decided to include other types of cancer awareness by launching an app to help with early detection. This is called the Crucial Catch. Since 2009, the first year of the NFL's Crucial Catch campaign, the NFL’s work has raised more than $18.5 million for the American Cancer Society. When you buy anything with the Crucial Catch logo on it from the NFL shop proceeds go towards cancer research. The NFL does not retain any profits generated by royalties received due to the sale of Crucial Catch products. All dollars are donated to the American Cancer Society. Cancer sucks. Please, get yourself checked out, early detection saves lives.

Week five was also not a good week for my picks, I went 7-8 again. This is not acceptable. I will do better in week 6. I did get the Thursday night game right though so I’m now 1-4 on Thursday night… I am 3-2 in my fantasy league. The Patriots and 49ers are the only undefeated teams left going into week 6 and the Jets, Bengals, Redskins, and Dolphins still haven’t gotten a win.

Here is the recap for week five.

Rams @ Seahawks 29-30
This game came down to a field goal with 11 seconds left in the game for the Rams to win, and then kicker Greg Zuerlein missed and the Seahawks won the game. And I finally got a Thursday night pick correct.

Cardinals @ Bengals 26-23
The Cardinals finally got their first win of the season. This game also came down to a last minute field goal to win the game and the Cardinals kicker Zane Gonzalez nailed it.

Bills @ Titans 14-7
The Bills overcame injury, with a great defense and got the win over the Titans. I know it surprised me too.

Bears @ Raiders 21-24
I think the Bears missed their flight across the pond. They looked pathetic and made the Raiders look good.

Buccaneers @ Saints 24-31
Teddy Bridgewater is 3-0 as the starting quarterback while Drew Brees is out. I just wish he would hand off more balls to Kamara. The Saints won in an almost too close for comfort fashion.

Jets @ Eagles 6-31
The Eagles defense came out big time over the Jets in this rout on Sunday afternoon. This is one of the picks I actually got right this weekend.

Vikings @ NY Giants 28-10
I knew I shouldn't have picked the Giants to win this game. They looked abysmal and made the Vikings look fantastic. It was hard to watch so, for once, I was glad that I was working and missed the majority of the game.

Ravens @ Steelers 26-23 OT
I went back and forth on this pick and I’m glad I settled with the Ravens. It took overtime for them to win the game, but that did it and that’s all that matters.

Patriots @ Redskins 33-7
The Redskins are now 0-5 and they have fired head coach Jay Gruden because of it. It is definitely not a good time to be a Redskins fan.

Jaguars @ Panthers 27-34
With Jalen Ramsey out with a “back injury” the Jags have struggled on defense, that means my fantasy team has also struggled, but the Panthers were able to pull out a win.

Falcons @ Texans 32-53
The Texans went off against the Falcons. Watson had 5 touchdown passes, 3 of which went to Will Fuller, who had 55 points on my bench in my fantasy league. I lost to my bosses boss… It wasn’t a good week for fantasy but it was a great week if you are a Houston fan.

Broncos @ Chargers 20-13
Melvin Gordon did not help the Chargers and the Broncos got their first win of the season.

Packers @ Cowboys 34-24
The Cowboys have now dropped 2 games in a row. Aaron Rodgers didn’t throw any touchdown passes and that hurt my fantasy team. The Cowboys were down by so much Dak Presscott had to start throwing the ball to catch up, and guess who had Prescott on their fantasy team… my bosses boss.

Colts @ Chiefs 19-13
This was the most shocking loss of the week on my opinion. The Colts completely shut down the Chiefs allowing only one touchdown for the Chiefs usually high scoring offense.

Browns @ 49ers 3-31
I was pretty sour coming into this game knowing that in order to win fantasy Chubb had to score about 40 points, which, based on last week, wasn’t out of the question. Then the 49ers defense showed up and showed up big. You can see the final score… I, for one, am glad week 5 is over.

WEEK 6

Thursday October 10th

NY Giants (2-3) @ Patriots (5-0) [8:20pm FOX/NFLN]
Well, because it’s not the Super Bowl, and Eli isn’t starting, and Saquan Barkley (RB), Evan Engram (TE), Sterling Shepard (WR), Wayne Gallman (RB) are all out with injuries, I’m picking the Patriots to win. It would take a football miracle for the Giants to win. They’ve done it before but let’s be realistic. Go GMEN!

Sunday October 13th

Panthers (3-2) @ Buccaneers (2-3) [9:30am NFLN]
Set your coffee pots and get the pancakes ready for the morning game! The Panthers and Bucs are the next to take a trip across the pond. This game will be held in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Games in London usually go a little wonky with the team least expected to win surprising everyone. Therefore, I’m going to pick the Bucs to win this game.

Seahawks (4-1) @ Browns (2-3) [1pm FOX]
As much as I’d like to see the Browns succeed, ahem Chubb, I’m picking the Seahawks to win. I have the Browns defense and the Jags defense in fantasy. I think I need a new defense.

Texans (3-2) @ Chiefs (4-1) [1pm CBS]
I’d like to think that the Chiefs will bounce back from their humiliating loss over the Colts last week, but the Texans are flying high after their rout over the Falcons. I’m going to pick the Chiefs to win, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Texans upset them at home.

Redskins (0-5) @ Dolphins (0-4) [1pm FOX]
Someone might actually win this game. It’ll probably end in a tie. The Redskins have a new interim coach and the Dolphins are just trying their best. Who will win? I’m picking the Redskins.

Eagles (3-2) @ Vikings (3-2) [1pm FOX]
The way the Vikings handled the Giants last week I think that I’m going to have to pick them this week. The Eagles are 1-1 on the road and the Vikings are 2-0 at home.

Saints (4-1) @ Jaguars (2-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Saints to win this game. Until Jalen Ramsey is back I don’t think the Jags defense can make a difference in the game.

Bengals (0-5) @ Ravens (3-2) [1pm CBS]
I’m predicting that the Bengals will go 0-6.

49ers (4-0) @ Rams (3-2) [4:05pm FOX]
Is this the game that the Rams finally get back on track or do the 49ers stay perfect? It’s a toss up. My heart says go with the Rams. My head says go with the 49ers. I’m going with my head, 49ers for the win.

Falcons (1-4) @ Cardinals (1-3-1) [4:05pm FOX]
The Falcons are 0-4 on the road and the Cardinals have at least tied at home. I’m picking the Cardinals for the win.

Titans (2-3) @ Broncos (1-4) [4:25pm CBS]
The Titans have won 2 on the road while the Broncos have yet to win at home. I’m picking the Titans to win this game.

Cowboys (3-2) @ Jets (0-4) [4:25pm CBS]
The Cowboys have dropped 2 in a row and as much as I would like this streak to continue, I think that they will snap it this game. Even though Sam Darnold is supposed to start for the first time since the beginning of the season for the Jets.

Steelers (1-4) @ Chargers (2-3) [8:20pm NBC]
I’m picking the Chargers for the win. I hope I’m right.

Monday October 14th

Lions (2-1-1) @ Packers (4-1) [8:15pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Packers over the Lions. Sorry Dean!

The Shenoa Report Week 5 '19 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 3, 2019
Regular Season Week 5

Week four was not a good week for my picks, I went 7-8 but seriously, no one thought that the Bucs would rout the Rams or the Browns beat the Ravens.... I am 0-4 on Thursday night games, but you can’t pick against Green Bay when they are at home. I’m still beating all of the NFL Insiders, and I am 3-1 in my fantasy league. The Patriots, Chiefs, and 49ers are the only undefeated teams left going into week 4 and the Jets, Redskins, Broncos, Cardinals, and Dolphins all have not gotten a win. At least the Dolphins can’t lose this week, they have a bye.

Here is the recap for week four.

For my first Sunday off since April one would think that I would be right in front of the tv with Eric, beer and knitting needles in hand, all ready to watch all the games. NOPE. Instead, you would find us in our backyard, me driving a tractor, digging ditches to install a french drain. You know how much I LOVE football, but I love this guy more. So we opened all the blinds so we could see the TV through the window and we worked all afternoon.

Eagles @ Packers 34-27
The Eagles got lucky Thursday night, when a tipped ball for a Green Bay touchdown was intercepted by the Eagles giving them the win.

Titans @ Falcons 24-10
I keep thinking that the Falcons are better than they actually are. Marcus Mariota threw three touchdowns in the first half to give the Titans the lead and the Falcons never caught up.

Patriots @ Bills 16-10
The Bills played a really good game even though they lost. Josh Allen took a pretty ridiculous hit to the head, and had the quarterbacks been reversed and it was Brady that had been hit, the other defender would’ve been tossed out of the game. The Bills did a really good job of rattling Brady, and it was just an unfortunate turn over that won the game for the Pats.

Chiefs @ Lions 34-30
This game was a shootout that came down to the last seconds of the game and a Chiefs win. Very exciting to listen to, whilst outside digging a ditch. At this point the tractor had gone home and we were using our shovels and listening to the game on the little bluetooth speaker, as we do.

Raiders @ Colts 31-24
I was pretty shocked to learn that the Raiders had beaten the Colts; I’m really not sure why. Neither team is that great in my opinion. I was more shocked when I saw the hit by Vontaze Burfict on Jack Doyle. It was a vicious hit and he was ejected for unnecessary roughness on a helmet to helmet collision. After the game Vontaze was suspended for the rest of the season, and I wouldn’t be surprised, or sad, if he never returned to the NFL.

Chargers @ Dolphins 30-10
The Dolphins continued to tank their season but they did have the lead in this game for a whole 3 minutes. Sorry Miami fans.

Redskins @ NY Giants 3-24
The Giants are now on a winning streak, kinda like Major League… More impressively, they did it without Saquan. The Giants defense only allowed 3 points as they picked off rookie Dwayne Haskins 3 times, one of them being a pick six! The Giants are still pretty sloppy and have a lot to improve but they are well on their way. 2-2 baby!

Browns @ Ravens 40-25
2 words. Nick Chubb. The Browns RB had 165 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns, and if you were lucky enough to have him on your fantasy team, and I did, you probably won this week. OBJ only had 2 receptions for 20 yards for the Browns but QB Baker Mayfield rotated between 7 targets throughout the day to keep the Ravens defense guessing. This proved to be very effective.

Panthers @ Texans 16-10
Kyle Allen, Cam Newton’s replacement, had three fumbles but managed to still beat the Texans at home. I don’t know what that says about the Texans, or Carolina for that matter.

Buccaneers @ Rams 55-40
This doesn’t seem to be the same Rams team that made it to the Super Bowl just last year. Gurley isn’t the same and neither is Jared Goff. They’ll need to get it together, but I think losing to the Bucs was a real wakeup call. Super Bowl hangover for real.

Seahawks @ Cardinals 27-10
It was a combined effort of the Seahawks offense and defense that lead them to victory over the Cardinals. Russell Wilson threw for a touchdown and Jadevon Clowney intercepted a Kyler Murray pass for a pick six. It helped that Murray didn’t have any touchdowns for the Cardinals.

Vikings @ Bears 6-16
The Bears are so good on defense that losing their quarterback didn’t really affect their game. Chase Daniel came in for the injured Mitchell Trubisky, but it was the defense that lead the team to another W.

Jaguars @ Broncos 26-24
Jalen Ramsey didn’t need to be in the game to help the Jags get the win, and who knows if he will even return to the team. The Broncos have now lost four in a row. It’s not a good time to be a Denver fan I would think.

Cowboys @ Saints 10-12
This was a fun game to watch and even though I got the pick wrong I was happy to see the Saints win. I would have liked Alvin Kamara to get more points but we can’t always get what we want.

Bengals @ Steelers 3-27
The Steelers finally got their first win of the season in this uneventful lopsided win at home.

WEEK 5

Thursday October 3rd

Rams (3-1) @ Seahawks (3-1) [8:20pm FOX/NFLN]
When in doubt go with the home team. I’m going with the Seahawks to win this game after listening to the analysts rip on the Rams on my drive into work this morning.

Sunday October 6th

Cardinals (0-3-1) @ Bengals (0-4) [1pm FOX]
Both teams just aren’t good. Maybe this game will also end in a tie. I’m going to pick the Bengals to win only because they are the home team.

Bills (3-1) @ Titans (2-2) [1pm CBS]
The Bills injury report is becoming quite a list. I’m going to pick the Titans to win at home.

Bears (3-1) @ Raiders (2-2) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Bears to beat the Raiders.

Buccaneers (2-2) @ Saints (3-1) [1pm FOX]
I think that the Saints will win this game even though the Bucs put on quite a show last week against the Rams.

Jets (0-3) @ Eagles (2-2) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Eagles to win this game.

Vikings (2-2) @ NY Giants (2-2) [1pm FOX]
Can the Giants get 3 in a row? I think so. The Giants should have Golden Tate back for this game. I’m picking the Giants to win this game! GO GMEN!!!

Ravens (2-2) @ Steelers (1-3) [1pm CBS]
Usually the Ravens have a really hard time against the Steelers, but this year I think that the Ravens have a better football team than the Steelers do. Therefore I think I’m going to pick the Ravens to beat the Steelers at home.

Patriots (4-0) @ Redskins (0-4) [1pm CBS]
I think that the Redskins are going to be 0-5 after this game.

Jaguars(2-2) @ Panthers (2-2) [1pm CBS]
The Panthers are actually showing potential but I am starting the Jags on my fantasy team so I’m going to pick them to win the game. My opponent is undefeated and I’d like to change that this weekend.

Falcons (1-3) @ Texans (2-2) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Texans to bounce back and win this game.

Broncos (0-4) @ Chargers (2-2) [4:05pm CBS]
Melvin Gordon is supposed to be back for the Chargers so I am picking them to win this game.

Packers (3-1) @ Cowboys (3-1) [4:25pm FOX]
Will the Cowboys lose two in a row? I hope so. But I still think they are going to win at home. I mean I hope they don’t and Aaron has a big game against him. I’ll be rooting for Rodgers and the Packers but picking the Cowboys for the win.

Colts (2-2) @ Chiefs (4-0) [8:20pm NBC]
I’m picking the Chiefs to improve to 5-0.

Monday October 7th

Browns (2-2) @ 49ers (3-0) [8:15pm ESPN]
I’m picking the 49ers to win at home, as long as Nick Chubb has another phenomenal game.
