Regular Season Week 17

Week 17 is here, the last Sunday of the regular season. The last game for many teams, mine included. Fantasy playoffs are over; there were no games on Thursday or Saturday and no game Monday night. Sunday is the day, the last day of the regular season. For some players, it will be their last game ever. Week 17 is always bittersweet. With the New Year right around the corner it is the end of so many story lines. This football season went faster than any other, for me, at least. Maybe it was because I worked most Sundays, maybe it’s because we’re another year older. Christmas has come and gone and I hope it was merry and bright for you and yours. Anyway, enough of this nostalgic blah blah blah, back to football.  I went 11-5 on picks and won in my fantasy consolation championship bracket so I’m still reining champion. I’m glad this stupid fantasy season is over and I can enjoy football on Sunday, with no work and no fantasy implications. Just football.
Let’s recap week sixteen.

Redskins @ Titans 16-25
The Titans are still “alive” in the playoff hunt even though Marcus Mariota left the game with an injury. It was Blaine Gabbert who led Tennessee to victory. And even though the Redskins have lost 5 out of their last 6 games they are technically still “alive” too.

Ravens @ Chargers 22-10
I guess I was wrong about this game; forgetting that the Chargers had already clinched the playoffs, they didn’t play as hard as they could have. These Chargers didn’t seem to stand a chance against the Ravens defense. The Ravens haven’t made the playoffs in four years but after this win over the Chargers they are one step closer to making it to the postseason. With Pittsburgh losing to New Orleans on Sunday the Ravens moved into first place in the AFC North. The end of the season is a lot of fun for those teams with a chance at making the postseason.

Bengals @ Browns 18-26
The Browns had a sellout crowd in this win over the Bengals. It’s been years since the Browns have had a winning record. Baker Mayfield threw three touchdowns as the Browns improved their season over the Bengals. Former head coach Hue Jackson did not get a warm welcome from Browns fans, instead he was booed. Browns interim head coach, Gregg Williams, has a legitimate chance of being the head coach now that the team has improved to 5-2 under his lead. The Browns were officially eliminated from the playoffs on Saturday but having a 7-7-1 record is thrilling after going 0-16 last season.

Buccaneers @ Cowboys 20-27
With this win the Cowboys took the Bucs pride and the NFC East title. I really don’t have much more to say about it.

Vikings @ Lions 27-9
By beating the Lions the Vikings move one step closer to the postseason. Kyle Rudolph caught his first touchdown of the season on a Hail Mary as time expired in the first half. As for the Vikings it was Rudolph who saved Christmas for the team. The Vikings could have clinched a playoff spot after their win but the Eagles ruined that by beating Houston on a game winning field goal. Stupid Eagles.

NY Giants @ Colts 27-28
Having no expectation for the Giants to win this game and just wanting them to score a touchdown, made it easier to take this loss somehow. We didn’t get this game on local TV so I wasn’t able to watch it at work. I was very surprised to learn that the Giants lead for all but one minute of the game. It just happened to be the last minute that the Colts took the lead by one point and won the game. With this win the Colts are still alive with a chance to make the playoffs. You’re welcome Indy.

Jaguars @ Dolphins 17-7
The Jaguars ruined the Dolphins hope of making the playoffs this season by beating them at home. Blake Bortles came off the bench late in the third quarter and helped bring the Jags to victory, but neither team will make it to the postseason.

Bills @ Patriots 12-24
The Patriots got their 10th straight AFC East title with this win over the Bills. Is anyone surprised? I doubt it. Of course the Pats are making the postseason and of course the Bills are not.

Packers @ Jets 44-38 OT
It came in overtime, but the Packers got their first road win of the year. The Jets led early but the Packers wouldn’t quit. Neither team is going to make it to the playoffs this year so pride was on the line; not so much for the Jets because they haven’t been good in years but the Packers were definitely playing for pride.

Texans @ Eagles 30-32
Eagles kicker, Jake Elliott, has ruined more games than I can count by kicking a game winning field goal as time expired, and he did it again against the Texans. This win also keeps the Eagles playoff hopes alive. The Texans missed an opportunity to clinch the AFC South and also allowed the Pats to take control of the number 2 seed. But, because the Steelers lost to the Saints, Houston earned at least a wild-card berth.

Falcons @ Panthers 24-10
The Panthers have now lost seven straight and the possibility of the post season. The Falcons don’t have a chance at the post season either but they were able to play the upset. With Cam out for the rest of the season the Panthers really didn’t have a hope anyway.

Rams @ Cardinals 31-9
The Rams were able to bounce back from their two game losing streak in this win over the Cardinals. With Todd Gurley out, newly signed C.J. Anderson took the job in stride with a touchdown and rushing for 167, one yard short of his career high game. Arizona, on the other hand, did not have a good day allowing 269 rushing yards, which is the most they’ve allowed all season.

Bears @ 49ers 14-9
This was a good defensive game; scoreless in the first and fourth quarters, the only points came in the second and third. The Bears quarterback, Mitch Trubisky, threw for one touchdown and Jordan Howard ran for another. That was all it took to beat the 49ers. Robbie Gould was the only one to score for the 49ers, kicking 3 field goals in the second quarter. The Bears clinched the number 3 seed with this win over San Francisco.

Steelers @ Saints 28-31
This game was super close and came down to a last minute fumble to give the Saints the win and the top seed in the NFC playoffs. I, for one, was happy with this outcome.

Chiefs @ Seahawks 31-38
The Seahawks clinched a playoff berth with this win over the Chiefs. The Chiefs are also heading to the playoffs but could have had home field had they won this game. Chris Carson had a monster of a game with two rushing touchdowns and 116 yards. This helped me win my fantasy “championship” game. Championship is in quotes because it was the consolation bracket even though I would have beaten all but two teams again. Whatever.

Broncos @ Raiders 14-27
The Raiders came out and played like it was the last time they were ever going to play on that field… And they dominated. For the first time all season they looked like a threat. The play of the game came on a Dwayne Harris touchdown punt return for 99 yards after the Broncos failed to down the ball. Of course both teams are out of playoff contention so this game was just for fun, and I think that the Raiders had the most fun.

WEEK 17

 Sunday, December 30th

Dolphins [7-8] @ Bills [5-10] (1pm CBS)
Both teams have no hope of making the playoffs so this will be their final game of the season. I think fans for both teams are glad for this. It’s been a tough season for Dolphins fans and Bills fans alike, but really, when isn’t it? I’m picking the Bills to win, which will probably mean that Miami will.

Lions [5-10] @ Packers [6-8-1] (1pm FOX)
This game also has no playoff implications and, like the above mentioned teams and fans, I think they are all glad that this will be their last game of this season. I’m going to pick the Packers to win this game, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t.

Jets [4-11] @ Patriots [10-5]  (1pm CBS)
One of these teams is going to make the playoffs and it isn’t the Jets. I’m picking the Pats to win this game. In doing so they would also get a first round bye, shocking.

Panthers [6-9] @ Saints [13-2] (1pm FOX)
Neither team is going with their starting quarterback. I am still picking Teddy Bridgewater leading the Saints to victory. They lose absolutely nothing if they lose this game but I don’t think that’ll happen.

Cowboys [9-6] @ NY Giants [5-10] (1pm FOX)
The Cowboys have already made the playoffs and the Giants were mathematically eliminated weeks ago. The Giants could win this game because the Cowboys don’t need this win. The Giants, however, are not going to have OBJ, not that it’s made a big difference without him. This is the last time I can pick the Giants to win this season so I guess I’m going to pick them to win. GO GMEN!!!!!!

Falcons [6-9] @ Buccaneers [5-10] (1pm FOX)
No playoff implications here. I’m picking the Falcons to win this game.

Jaguars [5-10] @ Texans [10-5] (1pm CBS)
With a win the Texans could win the AFC South, with a loss they would have to play the winner of the Colts/Titans game in the Wild Card game next week. I think the Texans will get it done this week and beat the Jags.

Chargers [11-4] @ Broncos [6-9] (4:25pm CBS)
The Chargers have already made the playoffs and winning or losing this game isn’t really much of a factor. The Broncos have nothing to play for, having not made the playoffs at all. I’m picking the Chargers to win this game.

Raiders [4-11] @ Chiefs [11-4] (4:25pm CBS)
The Chiefs can lock up home field advantage and clinch the AFC West with a win over the Raiders. If they lose and the Chargers win they would have to downgrade to a wildcard position. I’m picking the Chiefs to win this game.

49ers [4-11] @ Rams [12-3] (4:25pm FOX)
To ensure a first round bye in the playoffs the Rams need to beat the 49ers or have the Bears lose to the Vikings. The 49ers are just out of it. I’m picking the Rams to win this game.

Bears  [11-4] @ Vikings [8-6-1] (4:25pm FOX)
The Bears have already made the playoffs and the Vikings control their own destiny. They need to win or have the Eagles lose to make it into the playoffs. I don’t think that the Eagles are going to lose so the Vikings really need this win. The Vikings could get the fifth seed with a win and a Seattle loss. With all that being said I’m picking the Bears to win, being a division rival I don’t think the Bears are going to let the Vikings into the postseason.

Bengals [6-9] @ Steelers [8-6-1] (4:25pm CBS)
Even with a win the Steelers only have a 17% chance of making the playoffs. They would need to beat the Bengals and have the Ravens lose. They could also get into the wildcard with a win and have the Titans and Colts tie. I’m picking the Steelers to win but hope they don’t make it to the postseason.

Cardinals [3-12] @ Seahawks [9-6] (4:25pm FOX)
The Cardinals were never even close to being in the playoffs and the Seahawks have already made the playoffs. If Seattle wins this game they’ll lock up the 5th seed.  Should they lose and the Vikings win they would drop down to the 6th seed. I’m picking the Seahawks to win this game.

Eagles [8-7] @ Redskins [7-8] (4:25pm FOX)
The Redskins need losses by Minnesota and Seattle to avoid being eliminated. I think it’s safe to say that the Redskins really don’t have much of a chance at the playoffs at this point. The Eagles need to beat the Redskins and a Minnesota loss to get a wild-card berth. I’m picking the Eagles to win but hope that I’m wrong and the Redskins spoil the Eagles chances.

Browns [7-7-1] @ Ravens [9-6]  (4:25pm CBS)
If the Ravens win this game or the Steelers lose the Ravens will win their division. The Browns have been eliminated from the playoffs but have been playing tough football and have won the last 5 out of 7 games. I think that the Ravens will win this game but would laugh if the Browns upset the Ravens chances at the post season.

Colts [9-6] @ Titans [9-6] (8:20pm NBC)
If the Colts win they are in the playoffs. If the Titans win they are in the playoffs. The Titans may be without their starting quarterback Marcus Mariota. I’m going to pick the Colts to win this game as I think they have been playing tougher these past few weeks.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report
December 22, 2018
Regular Season Week 16

It’s hard to believe it’s almost Christmas. I walked outside to soak up the sun and it was 65 degrees this afternoon, in NY on 12/21. The tree is lit and the Christmas music is on as I write this report but it feels more like a September afternoon. You may think that this report was posted late this week, but because there wasn’t a game on Thursday night I decided to post it later.  I went 8-8 in my picks, my worst week all season, but I won in my fantasy consolation bracket so I’m still “alive” and playing for pride.
Let’s recap week fifteen.

Chargers @ Chiefs 29-28
The Chiefs absolutely blew this game! They had the win until they fell apart letting Philip Rivers lead the Chargers to two touchdowns in the final minutes of the game.  Bahhhh

Texans @ Jets 29-22
It was a touchdown from Watson to Hopkins in the final minutes of the game to put the Texans on top for the win. I was pretty happy about this being that I have Hopkins on my fantasy team.

Browns @ Broncos 17-16
You know, it’s hard when you’ve followed football for a long time and the Browns have been so bad, for such a long time. You just expect them to lose. They are proving everyone wrong this season and proved me wrong again with their win over the Broncos.

Cardinals @ Falcons 14-40
My opponent had Matt Ryan, who lit it up for the first time all season, of course, as the Falcons walked all over the Cardinals. Shocking, not really, I mean they did play the Cardinals so they should have won the game.

Lions @ Bills 13-14
I think that every time I pick the Bills to lose they win and vise versa. This was one of those times. But really, the Lions should have won this game, I mean if their kicker had made that extra point they would have been tied and needed overtime.  Just saying.

Packers  @ Bears 17-24
I think the Bears underestimated the Packers. They did come out on top but it was a pretty close game, surprisingly.  Aaron Rodgers threw an interception for the first time in a ridiculous number of throws (402) ending his streak.

Raiders @ Bengals 16-30
Joe Mixon had a good day for the Bengals, rushing for 129 yards and two touchdowns in their win over the Raiders. I think the Raiders are just glad they only have to play two more games this season.

Cowboys @ Colts 0-23
SHUT OUT!!!!! Some people thought I was crazy to not pick the Cowboys to win this game. Who’s crazy now?! The Cowboys couldn’t stop the Colts run game, especially Marlon Mack who rushed for a career high 139 yards and had two touchdowns in this momentous win.

Dolphins @ Vikings 17-41
Finally, the Vikings had a good game. Dalvin Cook had a monster game with a career high 136 yards with two touchdowns and a season high 19 carries for Minnesota. Kirk had two touchdowns and an interception in the win over the Dolphins.

Titans @ NY Giants 17-0
Stupid Giants, stupid rain, stupid season. The Giants hadn’t been shut out at home since 2003. Not a good streak to break. Thankfully the winery was busy so I wasn’t able to watch any of the game while at work. Eli couldn’t connect with his wide receivers, Saquan had trouble running in the rain, and OBJ was out with an injury and won’t be returning any time soon. I guess I should have played the Titans defense in fantasy this past week.

Redskins @ Jaguars 16-13
The Redskins quarterback, Josh Johnson, hadn’t started an NFL game in more than seven years but he was able to lead his team to victory in this stunning win over the Jags. I guess it wasn’t so stunning in that both teams are pretty atrocious this season.

Buccaneers @ Ravens 12-20
The Ravens rookie QB, Lamar Jackson, did a fine job against the Bucs defense. More importantly, they got the win too.

Seahawks  @ 49ers 23-26 OT
This game was too close for the teams that were represented. The Seahawks should have walked all over the 49ers. Instead, the 49ers won by a field goal in overtime.

Patriots @ Steelers 10-17
It’s rare to see the Patriots lose back-to-back games… but they did. I was surprised. The Steelers didn’t seem to miss running back James Conner with rookie, Jaylen Samuels, taking the reins while Conner is injured. Samuels had 19 carries for 142 yards. Not too shabby.

Eagles @ Rams 30-23
How is it that Nick Foles can beat the Rams but had Wentz started the Eagles would have lost? I forgot that the Rams had already clinched the playoff and didn’t have to win this game, but still, they should’ve won.

Saints @ Panthers 12-9
This game was much, much, much closer than I had anticipated, but the Saints pulled it out in the end. Phew.

WEEK 16

Saturday, December 22nd

Redskins [7-7] @ Titans [8-6] (4:30pm NFLN)
I’m going to pick the Titans to win this game. They played lights out last week and I think they will again this week.

Ravens [8-6] @ Chargers [11-3] (8:20pm NFLN)
I’m going to pick the Chargers to win this game. I don’t think the Ravens defense is as good as Ray Lewis thinks it is.

Sunday, December 23rd

Bengals [6-8] @ Browns [6-7-1]  (1pm CBS)
I’m picking the Browns to win this game. They are stronger at home.

Buccaneers [5-9] @ Cowboys [8-6] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking the Cowboys to win this game but will not be one bit disappointed if they lose.

Vikings [7-6-1] @ Lions [5-9] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking the Vikings to win this game. Though I’m not sure why. I think they lost the last time they played the Lions.

NY Giants [5-9] @ Colts [8-6] (1pm CBS)
I have no expectation for the Giants to win this game. I just want them to score a touchdown. Please don’t get shut out two weeks in a row. I’m picking the Colts to win this game.

Jaguars [4-10] @ Dolphins [7-7] (1pm CBS)
Who knows with these two teams? I’m going to pick the Dolphins to win, but again, wouldn’t be surprised one bit if the Jags won this game.

Bills [5-9] @ Patriots [9-5] (1pm CBS)
I’m picking the Patriots to win this game because there is no way they are going to lose 3 in a row, even though they no longer have Josh Gordon...  Whaaah wahhh

Packers [5-8-1] @ Jets [4-10] (1pm FOX)
The Packers have yet to win a road game this season, the Jets have only won two home games… I’m picking the Packers to get their first road win of the year.

Texans [10-4] @ Eagles [7-7] (1pm CBS)
I never know with the Eagles anymore. I’m going to pick the Texans to win and spoil the Eagles’ hopes of a chance at the playoffs.

Falcons [5-9] @ Panthers [6-8] (1pm FOX)
I’m going to pick the Falcons to win this division rivalry. Even with Cam out for the rest of the season, I won’t be at all shocked if this is not the case.

Rams [11-3] @ Cardinals [3-11] (4:05pm FOX)
The Rams have lost two games in a row; I don’t think they will lose another. I’m picking them to beat the Cardinals.

Bears [10-4] @ 49ers [4-10] (4:05pm FOX)
I’m picking the Bears to beat the 49ers. I think they have the better offense and defense.

Steelers [8-5-1] @ Saints [12-2] (4:25pm CBS)
I’m picking the Saints to win this game, mostly because I refuse to pick the Steelers to win.

Chiefs [11-3] @ Seahawks [8-6]  (8:20pm NBC)
I’m picking the Chiefs to bounce back and win this game, this will be a big challenge but I think they can do it.

Monday, December 24th

Broncos [6-8] @ Raiders [3-11] (8:15pm ESPN)
I’m going to pick the Broncos to win, but this might just be the Raiders fourth win of the season.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Week 15 '18

The Shenoa Report
December 13, 2018
Regular Season Week 15

Happy Birthday to Me!!!!! Another year around the sun, and football on my birthday. Can life get any better? I submit it can not! Week 14 was a doozy!  I went 10-6 in my picks, and would have done much better if the Steeler had beaten the Raiders (NO ONE saw that one coming), the Bills had beaten the Jets (yeah, I saw that coming), the Broncos had beaten the 49ers (what?!), the Texans had beaten the Colts (weird), and the Pats had beaten the Dolphins (laughing hysterically).
I picked the Giants to win and they routed the Redskins, who are no longer division leading, and will not make the playoffs. It was a good week, and even though I didn’t make the playoffs in fantasy my team is in the consolation bracket and my score was the top score out of the entire league this week.
Let’s recap week fourteen.

 Jaguars @ Titans 9-30
Tennessee’s Derrick Henry had a record-tying 99-yard touchdown run to help the Titans run all over the Jags. That was a fun run to watch. Henry was weaving, pushing, and stiff arming his way to the endzone. The Jags definitely do not have the defense they had last year.

Jets @ Bills 27-23
A Bills friend said this weekend “The Buffalo Bills would come in second in a one person race.” It must be tough being a Bills fan, even more tough than being a Giants or a Jets fan. The Bills lead the entire game and then lost it in the fourth when they just decided to stop playing I suppose. Sorry Bills fans.

Panthers @ Browns 20-26
The Panthers downward spiral continued Sunday as the Browns beat them in Cleveland. Though, for once, Charlotte had more snow than Cleveland so maybe it was better that the game was in Ohio. Jarvis Landry was on fire, having one receiving touchdown and a rushing TD.  And, Baker Mayfield was the better quarterback, out playing Cam Newton.

Falcons @ Packers 20-34
Finally, the Packers win a game, and they did it under interim head coach Joe Philbin. Aaron Rodgers had a two touchdown, no interception day, and looked more like himself. Atlanta continues to be terrible.

Ravens @ Chiefs 24-27 OT
Who would’ve thought that the Chiefs would beat the Ravens defense? Well I did! I’m glad I picked the Chiefs to win this game. It took overtime and relied on field goals but they got the job done. Chiefs kicker, Harrison Butker had missed a field goal in regulation but then redeemed himself in overtime to win the game. This was a good, close, game and well played.

Patriots @ Dolphins 33-34
If you haven’t seen the last play of this game, do yourself a favor and watch it now (https://streamable.com/lb92m). You’re welcome. Miami wins as time expires on a pass and double lateral with Kenyan Drake running the last 52 yards to score a touchdown.

Saints @ Buccaneers 28-14
The Saints shut out the Bucs in the second half to improve their record to 11-2. They had to rally though, as the Bucs outscored the Saints in the first half. Obviously it was Drew Brees that brought them to victory, throwing one touchdown pass and running in for another.

NY Giants @ Redskins 40-16
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! GMEN!!!!!! This game! Wow! This game had me so excited it was hard to speak in full sentences. If only they had been able to play like this all season. Eli Manning and Saquon Barkley played so well that they took them out of the game at the end of the third quarter. It wasn’t until after the Giants pulled some of their starters that the Redskins were able to score. Barkley had 170 rushing yards in the first three quarters along with a 78 yard touchdown, and with that he has surpassed 1,000 yards this season. Needless to say, he’s having a decent rookie year. Eli had three touchdown passes and no interceptions.  The Giants also spoiled any hopes of the Redskins making the playoffs with this win. After pulling Manning, we got to see rookie Kyle Lauletta, who wasn’t so effective at QB but with a 40 point lead he couldn’t do much damage. He went 0-5 with an interception. I don’t think that Lauletta will be the replacement for Eli anytime soon.  On the Redskins side of the ball, Mark Sanchez threw two interceptions, one for a pick six, before he was pulled and replaced by Josh Johnson, the Redskins fourth string QB this season. Johnson was at least able to move the ball down the field and keep the Redskins from being shutout, with one passing touchdown, a rushing touchdown, and an interception. He was also named the starting quarterback for the Redskins for the next game.

Colts @ Texans 24-21
This ending really surprised me, as I mentioned before. The Colts got out to a sizable lead in the third quarter and the Texans were never able to recover. Insert funny Luck pun.

Bengals @ Chargers 21-26
This game was a lot closer than expected. It was the Chargers kicker, Michael Badgley, that seemed to have the most scores, kicking four field goals in the win over the Bengals.

Broncos @ 49ers 14-20
This was another pick that I got wrong. 49ers tight end, George Kittle is shaping up to be the next Gronk. He had 210 receiving yards and became the first 49ers tight end to reach the 1,000 yard milestone in the win over the Broncos.

Eagles @ Cowboys 23-29 OT
I really wanted this game to end in a tie, or an Eagles win… Sometimes you don’t get all the things you want. It pains me that the Cowboys are leading the division and will make the  playoffs… It was Prescott’s touchdown pass to Amari Cooper in overtime that won the game for the Cowboys.

Steelers @ Raiders 21-24
It was Boswell’s missed field goal with 21 seconds left in the game that gave the Raiders the win. How poetic. You see, I had Chris Boswell on my fantasy team this season for a while and I dropped him because he continually missed field goals. I’m surprised the Steelers haven’t dropped him too.

Lions @ Cardinals 17-3
As expected, the Lions outplayed the Cardinals on offense and defense. All Arizona could do was get a field goal in the fourth quarter so they were not shut out.

Rams @ Bears 6-15
The Bears defense showed up big and put a stop to Todd Gurley and the Rams. It was an odd score in that the Bears had two field goals, a safety, and a touchdown. While the Rams only had two field goals and were completely shut out in the second half.

Vikings @ Seahawks 7-21
This game was so boring. It was 0-3 for three and a half quarters.  Now the final score makes it look like it was a good game but nothing really happened until there were about 5 minutes left in the fourth. The Seahawks definitely outplayed the Vikings in all respects. Kind of a let down if you ask me.

WEEK 15

Thursday, December 13th

Chargers [10-3 ] @ Chiefs [11-2] (8:20pm FOX)
This should be a really good game and it’s on my birthday which makes it even more exciting. I’m picking the Chiefs to win, but only because they are home and still perfect there.

Saturday, December 15th

Texans [9-4] @ Jets [4-9] (1pm NFLN)
I’m picking the Texans to bounce back and win this game. They still haven’t clinched the division title so this is a game they will want to win.

Browns [5-7-1] @ Broncos [6-7] (8:20pm NFLN)
The Browns aren’t really good on the road so I am going to pick the Broncos to win this game. Though it wouldn’t surprise me if the Broncos lost like they did last week.

Sunday, December 16th

Cardinals [3-10] @ Falcons [4-9]  (1pm FOX)
I’m going to pick the Falcons to win this game for no other reason than they are the home team. Both teams are mediocre so I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cardinals won or if the game ended in a tie.

Lions [5-8] @ Bills [4-9] (1pm FOX)
The Lions are 2-4 away and the Bills are 2-4 at home. It’s a toss up. The Lions are technically alive in playoff terms, though not likely so I am going to have to pick the Lions to win this game. Doing so will most likely ensure a Bills win.

Packers [5-7-1] @ Bears [9-4] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking the Bears to win this game. With a win Chicago could annihilate Green Bay’s chances at the playoffs.

Raiders [3-10] @ Bengals [5-8] (1pm CBS)
Neither team has any hope of making the playoffs so they are just playing for pride at this point. I’m going to pick the Bengals to win this week only because they are home and I think it was a fluke that the Raiders won last week.

Cowboys [8-5] @ Colts [7-6] (1pm FOX)
I would love to see the Colts beat the Cowboys. It could happen. The Cowboys have only won two road games while the Colts are 4-2 at home. It’s hard to play at Lucas Oil as the visiting team. I am going to pick the Colts to win this game.

Dolphins [7-6] @ Vikings [6-6-1] (1pm CBS)
The Vikings haven’t been doing so well as of late but I think this is the game in which they will bounce back. I’m picking them to win at home against the Dolphins who have a record of 1-5 away.

Titans [7-6] @ NY Giants [5-8] (1pm CBS)
The Giants could actually, really win this game. Wouldn’t that be something. The Titans are really good on the road and the Giants are marginally better at home. This would be a late birthday gift if they win. Heck, I’m picking the Giants to win this game.

Redskins [6-7] @ Jaguars [4-9] (1pm CBS)
Sacksonville seems to not exist anymore for the Jags but they are playing the Redskins so they might not lose. I’m picking the Jags to win this game.

Buccaneers [5-8] @ Ravens [7-6] (1pm FOX)
The Ravens are starting rookie QB Lamar Jackson against the Bucs. I’m going with the Ravens for the win.

Seahawks [8-5] @ 49ers [3-10] (4:05pm FOX)
I think that the Seahawks will win this game on the road over the 49ers. Though the 49ers like to play the upset kings.

Patriots [9-4] @ Steelers [7-5-1] (4:25pm CBS)
I’m picking the Patriots to win this game and push the Steelers deeper into their downward spiral.

Eagles [6-7] @ Rams [11-2]  (8:20pm NBC)
I’m picking the Rams to bounce back and win because I don’t think that they Eagles can contain Todd Gurley.

Monday, December 17th

Saints [11-2] @ Panthers [6-7] (8:15pm ESPN)
I think that the Saints are going to march right over the Panthers on Monday night. It’ll be fun to watch. Sorry Panthers fans.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
