The Shenoa Report

Regular Season Week 10
Hello my faithful readers. I am
so sorry I didn’t post last week. I was in the hospital. Being sick is a
horrible thing and I don’t suggest it to anyone. I usually write my report on
Wednesday to have it posted Thursday but last Wednesday I was sent home from
work with a fever and didn’t feel like writing my report that evening. Work
policy is to be symptom free for 24 hrs before returning to work. I still had a
fever Wednesday night so I knew that I wouldn’t be working on Thursday, and
with a good nights sleep I thought I would just knock out the report on the
couch. Well, I woke up Thursday morning to excruciating pain in my abdomen that
burned and radiated, called my mom, and she drove me to the hospital. From that
moment on the report was the last thing on my mind. I’ll spare you the details.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are a complete blur. I’m a HUGE football fan, you know this, so it was so hard for me
to not watch football, but at the same time I was so out of it I didn’t even
care. My cousin had texted me to let me know I still had Watson in my starting
line up. Eric was in charge of my phone and changed my lineup. I thought it was
part of one of my hallucinations that Watson was on IR for the rest of the
season. Week 9 was my bye week. Now I’m taking baby
steps. I’m out of the hospital as of Tuesday afternoon but have to have weekly
doctors appointments to monitor me in hopes that I don’t have to have surgery. I’m
on super strong antibiotics that make me feel like poop but at least I’m out of
the hospital. It is Thursday again and I am sitting on my couch in hopes to
have the Shenoa Report posted on time once again. Week 8 I went 10-3 on my
picks and I am currently in a downward spiral in my fantasy leagues 5,4 and
4,5…. If I had made picks for week 9 I would have gone 7-5
Let’s
recap week nine. I’m going to be honest; I slept through all of these games.
And at one point, when I woke up, I thought the Patriots were playing, and
winning…. The Patriots had their bye in week 9 as well.
Bills @ Jets 21-34
I was in my “room”
in the ER and saw some of this game, as the game was on and I remember the Jets
helmets being very shiny. The pain meds were good. Apparently the Jets won, I would have picked
the Bills to have won and would have been wrong.
Rams @ Giants 51-17
I slept through this game, as did the Giants. But really, in all
seriousness, McA-DON’T. JUST STOP. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE FIRE HIM?!?! It’ll be a
happier thanksgiving if they do.
Ravens @ Titans 17-20
I would
have picked the Ravens I would have been wrong
Buccaneers @ Saints 10-30
If I
had been with it I would have told Eric to not start the Giants defense but
start the Saints defense instead. #hospitalfail #outofit But I would have
picked the Saints to win this game. Oh, and thanks Mike Evens for fighting and
getting yourself suspended, it’s REALLY helping my fantasy team. #lostby4points
Broncos @ Eagles 23-51
I would
have picked the Eagles and then not been happy with the outcome. It’s hard to
believe that they have the best record in the NFL.
Bengals @ Jaguars 7-23
Another
fight. Ridiculous. I would have picked the Jags to win though
Colts @ Texans 20-14
I still
don’t believe that Watson is out the rest of the season, but it would explain
the score of this game. I would not have picked the Colts to win.
Cardinals @ 49ers 20-10
I would
have picked the Cardinals and the 49ers are still winless… I have a feeling
things will change soon.
Redskins @ Seahawks 17-14
I did
not think that the Redskins would win, let alone in Seattle!
Chiefs @ Cowboys 17-28
I would
have picked the Chiefs to win, and I would’ve been really wrong, and sad.
Raiders @ Dolphins 27-24
I
didn’t watch this game either but I vaguely remember it being on. Eric watched
a lot of football for me while being by my bedside at the hospital. I would have picked the Raiders to win this
game.
Lions @ Packers30-17
I saw
bits and pieces of this game mostly when they woke me up to take my vitals and
meds. I would have picked the Lions to win.
