Regular Season Week 2

I am always surprised after the first week of the regular season; though I went 10-5 on my picks! Speaking of which, I watch “Inside The NFL” every week and my picks were better than all of the “insiders” Phil Simms, Boomer Esiason, and Ray Lewis! BOOM!  I am 1-1 in my fantasy leagues. Kenny Britt, Le’veon Bell, and the Patriots did not impress Fantasy Football Shenoa, rather, they failed to meet her expectations. Football Shenoa was heart broken by the NY Football Giants.

Let’s recap week one.

Chiefs @ Patriots 42-27
Even though I had the Pats defense and QB on one of my fantasy teams I was elated by the outcome of this game. Thanks KC for making the first game of the regular season memorable, and awesome.

Steelers @ Browns 21-18
Neither team looked great, especially Bell and Britt… Thanks a lot. In other news, at the conclusion of this game Big Ben now has more wins in Browns Stadium than any Cleveland QB. True Story.

Cardinals @ Lions 23-35
The Lions defense intercepted Carson Palmer 3 times! It was truly a great home opener of the Lions.

Jaguars @ Texans 29-7
It looked like Harvey was still in Houston destroying Texans’ hope of a football win.

Buccaneers @ Dolphins
It’s a good thing this game was postponed. Miami and Tampa look like war zones after Irma left the Sunshine State.

Raiders @ Titans 26-16
The Raiders looked good, especially Giorgia Tavecchio who was just signed this past Friday to fill in for Janikowski, Oakland’s kicker.  Tavecchio kicked four field goals 20, 52, 52, and 43 yards in his debut and didn’t miss any! Not bad for a newcomer.

Eagles @ Redskins 30-17
I was hoping for a tie but unfortunately that didn’t happen. Neither team really looked good. Both Wentz and Cousins had big mistakes under center, each throwing an interception.  With my Giants logic I found it better for the Eagles to win (even though I like them much less than the Redskins) because the Giants seem to struggle more with the Redskins than the Eagles.

Ravens @ Bengals 20-0
Shut out at home! Ouch. The Ginger had FOUR interceptions and one fumble. Definitely not his best game.

Falcons @ Bears 23-17
Maybe the Falcons should play from behind more often… at least the outcome was different than having the lead the entire game. No Super Bowl hangover for Atlanta.

Jets @ Bills 12-21
I wouldn’t say that the Bills looked good, I would say that the Jets looked abysmal.

Colts @ Rams 9-46
It only took a year and a new head coach to see the potential of Jared Goff, the QB for the Rams. Sometimes I guess moving is a good thing. It was for the Rams, now in LA, they have a winning team.

Seahawks @ Packers 9-17
The first half of this game was a game of punts. It wasn’t till the second half that someone reached the end zone. I mean, I guess someone did in the first quarter but it was called back by a bs call. Oh yeah, the refs are terrible this year.

Panthers @ 49ers 23-3
I’m glad for the sake of fantasy football that Cam finally got his act together and was able to complete a pass. I feel like this score should’ve been higher due to who they were playing, oh well.

NY Giants @ Cowboys 3-19
This game was terrible; I mean it was soooooo bad. I’m pretty sure my heart shattered a few different times. But I’m a glutton for punishment so I watched the entire monstrosity. Mike Tanier said it best,
“The Giants offensive line blocked like they just met on Thursday, lifted weights for the first time Friday and developed a personal grudge against Eli Manning on Saturday evening.”
Atrocious. That’s all I have to say about that.

Saints @ Vikings 19-29
The game might have looked close but it never really was. Minnesota dominated.

Chargers @ Broncos 21-24
It came down to the last play of the game where the Broncos defense blocked a field goal to send it into overtime. Did I stay up to watch this game? No I did not.

WEEK 2

Thursday September 14th

Texans (0-1) @ Bengals (0-1) [8:25pm NFLN]
Maybe the Texans will overcome in Cincinnati. Maybe the Bengals will score this week. These are both big maybes. I’ll take the Bengals to win their home opener.

Sunday September 17th

Bills (1-0) @ Panthers (1-0) [1pm CBS]
I’m going to take the Panthers at home.

Browns (0-1) @ Ravens (1-0) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Ravens.

Cardinals (0-1) @ Colts (0-1)  [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Cardinals; there is no Luck for the Colts.

Titans (0-1) @ Jaguars (1-0) [1pm CBS]
Against better judgment I’m going to pick the Jags.

Eagles (1-0) @ Chiefs (1-0) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Chiefs and rooting for them too!

Patriots (0-1) @ Saints (0-1) [1pm CBS]
I don’t think that the Pats are going to lose two in a row. It’d be funny, but I don’t think it’s very likely. I’m picking the Pats for the win.

Vikings (1-0) @ Steelers (1-0) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Steelers for the win, and Bell damn well better have an improved performance compared to last week.

Bears (0-1) @ Buccaneers (0-0) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Bucs to win.

Dolphins (0-0) @ Chargers (0-1) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m picking the Chargers for the win.

Jets (0-1) @ Raiders (1-0) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m picking the Raiders.

Cowboys (1-0) @ Broncos (1-0) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m taking the Broncos over the Cowboys

Redskins (0-1) @ Rams (1-0) [4:25pm FOX]
I hope the Rams can continue their win streak. I’m going with L.A. for the win.

49ers (0-1) @ Seahawks (0-1) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m picking the Seahawks.

Packers (1-0) @ Falcons (1-0) [8:30pm NBC]
I’m picking the Packers for the win. The Falcons home opener will bring back memories of their Super Bowl loss.

Monday, September 18th

Lions (1-0) @ NY Giants (0-1) [8:30pm ESPN]
I might be Ms. Cranky Pants Tuesday morning but I’m picking the Giants to win Monday night. GO GMEN! PLEASE WIN. PLEASE.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Eric!!!!!
