Regular Season Week 8

Every week I get a little bit better on my picks (9-6). I lost in fantasy again, but the Giants won again so I’m ok with it.  There is another London game Sunday morning and this time it’s on FOX so no worries with being able to watch it. We are traveling to DC this weekend so it’s a good thing the Giants have a bye as I won’t be watching much football.
Anyway, let’s recap week seven.

Bears @ Packers 10-26
The Packers did bounce back but it wasn’t pretty in the beginning.

NY Giants @ Rams 17-10
YAY FOR ANOTHER GIANTS WIN!!!! Gold star goes to the entire defense but especially Landon Collins with the pick 6!!!! I’m not gonna lie, the game was not pretty, in Giants fashion, but a win is a win!

Saints @ Chiefs 21-27
The Saints are horrible this year. The end.

Colts @ Titans 34-26
I mean, I’m glad that Luck put up so many points, it helped my fantasy team, but not enough to win. (My fantasy team, not the Colts, they won, even though I didn’t pick them to.)

Vikings @ Eagles 10-21
The one time I wanted the Vikings to win… SMH. Way to let me down Minnesota.

Browns @ Bengals 17-31
Well at least Cleveland has the Indians and the Cavs… because the Browns are terrible.

Redskins @ Lions 17-20
Dear Lions, thank you. Love, Shenoa.

Raiders @ Jaguars 33-16
I still can’t believe that the Raiders are 5-2.

Bills @ Dolphins 25-28
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to figure out the Bills… I mean, they shut out the Pats one week and then lose to the Dolphins this week.

Ravens @ Jets 16-24
It’s safe to say that the Ravens have hit a downward spiral. Lost to the Giants last week and now the Jets; it’s a good thing they aren’t playing the Bills next week. NY is owning Baltimore.

Buccaneers @ 49ers 34-17
The 49ers came out strong and then fizzled

Chargers @ Falcons (4-2) 33-30 OT
The Chargers ruined Atlanta’s fun in overtime.

Patriots @ Steelers 27-16
The highlight of this game was when the Pats missed an extra point. Otherwise it was not worth watching in my opinion.

Seahawks @ Cardinals 6-6 OT
I made it to overtime and then fell asleep. Why can’t these types of games happen to the Eagles and the Cowboys? Apparently it was a thriller.

Texans @ Broncos 9-27
Another win for the Broncos and another game that I fell asleep during.

WEEK 8

Thursday, October 27th

Jaguars (2-4) @ Titans (3-4) [8:25pm NFLN]
I’ll take the Titans at home.

Sunday, October 30th

Redskins (4-3) @ Bengals (3-4) [9:30am FOX]
This game is across the pond, and a very early game, note the time. This is just another chance to get up, grab your coffee and pancakes, and watch the Bengals hopefully beat the Redskins. I’m picking the Bengals.

Cardinals (3-3-1) @ Panthers (1-5) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Cardinals. Sorry Panthers fans.

Chiefs (4-2) @ Colts (3-4)  [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Chiefs in a high scoring game.

Seahawks (4-1-1) @ Saints (2-4) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Seahawks

Raiders (5-2) @ Buccaneers (3-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m taking the Raiders over the Bucs.

Lions (4-3) @ Texans (4-3) [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Texans even though their offense is atrocious.

Patriots (6-1) @ Bills (4-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m taking the Patriots over the Bills.

Jets (2-5) @ Browns (0-7) [1pm CBS]
Maybe the Browns will get their first win? Probably not. I’m going with the, just a tiny bit better, Jets.

Chargers (3-4) @ Broncos (5-2) [4:05pm CBS]
 I’m picking the Broncos.

Packers (4-2) @ Falcons (4-3) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m taking the Packers, even though they are struggling.

Eagles (4-2) @ Cowboys (5-1) [8:30pm NBC]
I hope it ends in a tie. But I’ll pick the Cowboys at home.

Monday, October 31st

Vikings (5-1) @ Bears (1-6) [8:30pm ESPN]
I think the Vikings are going to bounce back and take the win.

BYE: Dolphins, Ravens, Steelers, Giants, Rams, 49ers

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Eric!!

The Shenoa Report

Regular Season Week 7

Well, I’m doing marginally better on my picks (8-7), I lost in fantasy, but the Giants won so everything is a-o-k with me.  There is another London game Sunday morning, so that’s exciting! Go Giants! The only downside is you have to have to have the NFL Network to watch the game (or you can be sneaky like me and stream it elsewhere).
There were some big injuries this past week, namely Green Bay’s RB Eddie Lacy and Pittsburgh’s QB Big Ben. Week seven should be a good one, and if you’re a Panthers fan there is good news, Carolina can’t lose this week, they have their bye. Anyway, let’s recap week six.

Broncos @ Chargers 13-21
I’m not sure what was uglier this game, the Bronco’s defense or their uniforms. Nike’s color rush is not cool and it hurts my eyes.

49ers @ Bills 16-45
GO BILLS! And they did.

Eagles @ Redskins 20-27
This game was supposed to end in a tie… thanks a lot Eagles. FAIL.

Browns @ Titans 26-28
Another week, same storyline, the Browns were in the game until the final minutes.

Ravens @ NY Giants 23-27
Well, it wasn’t pretty, and the Giants made a lot of stupid mistakes, but somehow they came up with the win. The refs didn’t help AT ALL! How the hell was that defensive pass interference?!?!?!?!?!?! Still makes me angry. I’m thankful Eric still likes me, because there was A LOT of yelling at the tv during this game. OBJ is great, and I love that his new bff is the kicker’s net. It’s a great relationship. Now if Eli could get his act together and we could stop drawing penalties we’d be unstoppable. Love you Gmen, and I’m glad for the win…. Finally.

Panthers @ Saints 38-41
I’m really glad I don’t live in Charlotte now, Panthers fans must be miserable to be around. Man oh man. Way to go, Saints.

Jaguars @ Bears 17-16
Chicago had it in the bag but forgot that there was a fourth quarter and threw the game away.

Rams @ Lions 28-31
Yup, I knew picking the Rams would ensure a Lions victory, and I was right. Oh well.

Steelers @ Dolphins 15-30
Miami beat “your-ami” and Big Ben was taken out of the game and will be out for 2-4 weeks. Well done Dolphins.

Bengals @ Patriots 17-35
Tom Brady’s back… blah blah blah.

Chiefs @ Raiders 26-10
The Chiefs came off their bye full speed and rolled the Raiders.

Falcons @ Seahawks 24-26
I don’t agree with the no pass interference call at the end of the game but I was glad to see that the Seahawks won.

Cowboys @ Packers 30-16
Aaron Rodgers and the rest of the packers looked like poo. That’s all I’ve got to say about this game.

Colts @ Texans 23-26 OT
The Colts were up 2 touchdowns when I fell asleep, but I made it to the 4th quarter this time. I was quite surprised, but happy, that the Texans won in OT.

Jets @ Cardinals 3-28
In order to win in fantasy this week the Cardinals defense needed to not show up and David Johnson couldn’t touch the ball. Well, the opposite happened and I lost miserably, much like the Jets.

WEEK 7

Thursday, October 20th

Bears (1-5) @ Packers (3-2) [8:25pm CBS, NFLN]
I’m picking the Packers to bounce back.

Sunday, October 23rd

NY Giants (3-3) @ Rams (3-3) [9:30am NFLN]
This game is across the pond, and a very early game, note the time. This is just another chance to get up, grab your coffee and pancakes, and watch the Giants win, hopefully. I’m picking the Giants to win. LETS GO GMEN!

Saints (2-3) @ Chiefs (3-2) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Chiefs for the win.

Colts (2-4) @ Titans (3-3)  [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Titans at home.

Vikings (5-0) @ Eagles (3-2) [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Vikings over the Eagles. Trounce them Minnesota SKOL!

Browns (0-6) @ Bengals (2-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bengals.

Redskins (4-2) @ Lions (3-3) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Lions. Please win even though I’ve picked you to win.

Raiders (4-2) @ Jaguars (2-3) [1pm CBS]
 I’m picking the Raiders.

Bills (4-2) @ Dolphins (2-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bills for the win.

Ravens (3-3) @ Jets (1-5) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Ravens for the win.

Buccaneers (2-3) @ 49ers (1-5) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m taking the Bucs over the 9ers.

Chargers (2-4) @ Falcons (4-2) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m taking the Falcons over the Chargers.

Patriots (5-1) @ Steelers (4-2) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking the Patriots.

Seahawks (4-1) @ Cardinals (3-3) [8:30pm NBC]
I’m taking the Seahawks.

Monday, October 24th

Texans (4-2) @ Broncos (4-2) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Broncos to bounce back.

BYE: Cowboys, Panthers.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 6 '16

The Shenoa Report
October 13, 2016
Regular Season Week 6

I finally have a winning record in picks (8-6), I annihilated my opponent in fantasy, but the Giants lost again.  We are a quarter of the way through the season and I still feel like I’m trying to figure all these teams out. I mean, the Raiders are 4-1 and the Panthers are 1-4, the 2016 season is an interesting one, I’ll say.  Week six should be a good one. Hey, maybe the Giants will even win! I’m not going to hold my breath.

Let’s recap week five.

Cardinals @ 49ers 33-21
It seems like the Thursday night games are always ugly, and this one was no different. I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t watch this entire game. I fell asleep in the 3rd quarter, which has become a ritual for Thursday night football, Sunday night football, and Monday night football. I’m old.

Patriots @ Browns 33-13
This game pissed me off so much! Whenever I start Martellus Bennett he might have 3 touches during the game, when I bench him 3 TOUCHDOWNS!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Titans @ Dolphins 30-17
The Titans won their second game of the season, hopefully that won’t be their last.

Eagles @ Lions 23-24
I’m not even mad that the Lions messed up my picks! Good game Detroit!!!!!!

Bears @ Colts 23-29
The Colts squeaked that one out, or the Bears fell apart, or both.

Texans @ Vikings 13-31
Ok, ok, the Vikings are good.

Redskins @ Ravens 16-10
Dammit Ravens, just for that I hope you lose next week too!

Jets @ Steelers 13-31
How did the Jets get to be so bad?

Falcons @ Broncos 23-16
Holy Falcons batman! Damn. I did NOT see that one coming.

Bengals @ Cowboys 14-28
Stupid Bengals. I can’t wait for Romo to come back so the Cowboys can start losing again.

Bills @ Rams 30-19
The Bills stun again, seriously, as soon as I start picking them to win, they’ll lose.

Chargers @ Raiders 31-34
The Raiders are 4-1. Say whaaaa?!

NY Giants @ Packers 16-23
Dear Giants, you didn’t prove me wrong. You looked horrible. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Thanks for the false hope at the end of the game with the OBJ touchdown. You make my heart hurt. Love, Shenoa.

Buccaneers @ Panthers 17-14
This game was so sloppy. I really can’t comment on it too much because it was so boring I fell asleep around half time. I was surprised to wake up Tuesday morning and see that the Panthers had lost, again. Ouch. Sorry Carolina, maybe drink lots of Gatorade for that Super Bowl hangover you’re still struggling to get over.

WEEK 6

I’m going to try to do these picks without my heart getting in the way this week…

Thursday, October 13th

Broncos (4-1) @ Chargers (1-4) [8:25pm CBS, NFLN]
I’m picking the Broncos

Sunday, October 16th

49ers (1-4) @ Bills (3-2) [1:00pm FOX]
Kaepernick is starting this game for the 49ers, so I’m picking the Bills to win.

Eagles (3-1) @ Redskins (3-2) [1pm FOX]
I hope this game ends in a tie. I’m picking the Redskins to win, but really, I hope it ends in a tie.

Browns (0-5) @ Titans (2-3)  [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Titans to win.

Ravens (3-2) @ NY Giants (2-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Ravens to win in hopes that the Giants will actually show up, not make STUPID MISTAKES, and actually pull off a win. But until they actually win a game I’m picking against them. Love you Gmen.

Panthers (1-4) @ Saints (1-3) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Saints, sorry Panthers fans.

Jaguars (1-3) @ Bears (1-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bears, only because they are at home.

Rams (3-2) @ Lions (2-3) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Rams. I’d like to pick the Lions but whenever I do, they lose.

Steelers (4-1) @ Dolphins (1-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m taking the Steelers over the Dolphins.

Bengals (2-3) @ Patriots (4-1) [1pm CBS]
 I’m picking the Patriots.

Chiefs (2-2) @ Raiders (4-1) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m taking the Raiders over the Chiefs.

Falcons (4-1) @ Seahawks (3-1) [4:25pm FOX]
I was going to pick the Falcons to win but Julio Jones is listed as questionable, so I’m going with the Seahawks.

Cowboys (4-1) @ Packers (3-1) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m picking the Packers to win.

Colts (2-3) @ Texans (3-2) [8:30pm NBC]
I’m picking the Texans at home.

Monday, October 17th

Jets (1-4) @ Cardinals (2-3) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m going with the Cardinals.

BYE: Vikings, Buccaneers

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 5 '16

The Shenoa Report
October 6, 2016
Regular Season Week 5

My picks were even worse this past week (7-8), the Giants lost, and I lost in fantasy. Booooooooooooo. There are thirteen teams that are 1-3 right now, 3 that are still perfect, and only the Cleveland Browns are winless. Crazy.
October is breast cancer awareness month, hopefully you’ll see a lot of pink on the field and sidelines. I’m sporting pink hairstreaks for support what are you doing?
Anyway.

Let’s recap week four.

Dolphins @ Bengals 7-22
I thought this might be a game when the Dolphins scored early but I was wrong. It was all ugly after that.

Colts @ Jaguars 27-30
It was nice to get up Sunday morning and turn the game on. It was also nice to see the Jags finally win a game at the Colts expense.

Titans @ Texans 20-27
It’s safe to say the Titans are terrible again this season.

Browns @ Redskins 20-31
The Browns are like the Giants; they play well but can’t finish.

Seahawks @ Jets 27-17
Russell Wilson had a sprained knee and still walked all over the Jets, handing NY their 3rd loss of the season.

Bills @ Patriots 16-0
The Patriots used to boast about never being shutout at home in Gillette Stadium… They’ll just have to boast about something else now. I’m glad that it was the Bills that ended that streak.

Panthers @ Falcons 33-48
Cam suffered a concussion in the 3rd quarter. Julio Jones had 12 receptions, 300 yards and 1 touchdown, and the Falcons stomped the Panthers. Can we say Super Bowl hangover?

Raiders @ Ravens 28-27
I knew that the Ravens win streak wouldn’t last long. Derek Carr is really doing well for the Raiders. He threw 4 touchdown passes, beating the Ravens in the final minutes of the game.

Lions @ Bears 14-17
Dear Lions, you suck and your quarterback made me lose in fantasy this past week. Boooo! Hissssssss! Love, Shenoa.

Broncos @ Buccaneers 27-7
I’m sorry Peyton, but I’ve got to say the Broncos look much better this year, and that’s scary.

Rams @ Cardinals 17-13
Remember when the Cardinals used to be good and the Rams used to be bad …? Boy, times have changed.

Saints @ Chargers 35-34
Flippin’ Chargers. In other news, Saints get their first win of the season.

Cowboys @ 49ers 24-17
Sadly, I thought the 49ers might actually pull out a win against the Cowboys.

Chiefs @ Steelers 14-43
We didn’t even bother watching this game.

NY Giants @ Vikings 10-24
I really don’t know what to say. Thanks, for losing Monday night so you didn’t ruin my weekend? This game was so frustrating to watch, penalties, special teams, and Manning killed us. The Vikings looked good and that pained me.

WEEK 5

Thursday, October 6th

Cardinals (1-3) @ 49ers (1-3) [8:25pm CBS, NFLN]
Who knows! They’re both horrible! I don’t know? I guess I’ll take the Cardinals.

Sunday, October 9th

Patriots (3-1) @ Browns (0-4) [1:00pm CBS]
I’m taking the Patriots and rooting for the Browns.

Titans (1-3) @ Dolphins (1-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m wondering if this game will even be played with Hurricane Matthew making its way to the states.  The Dolphins have already closed their team facility in anticipation for the storm. As of right now the game is still scheduled to be played in Miami but I’ll let you know if that changes. Regardless I’m picking the Titans for the win.

Eagles (3-0) @ Lions (1-3)  [1pm FOX]
I’d love to see the Lions win this game but I’m not going to hold my breath. I’m picking the Eagles to win but will be rooting for the Lions.

Bears (1-3) @ Colts (1-3) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Colts because I haven’t learned my lesson yet.

Texans (3-1) @ Vikings (4-0) [1pm CBS]
I’m taking the Vikings over the Texans.

Redskins (2-2) @ Ravens (3-1) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Ravens only because I can’t pick the Redskins.

Jets (1-3) @ Steelers (3-1) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Steelers.

Falcons (3-1) @ Broncos (4-0) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m picking the Broncos.

Bengals (2-2) @ Cowboys (3-1) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m taking the Bengals for the same reason I’m picking the Ravens.

Bills (2-2) @ Rams (3-1) [4:25pm CBS]
 I’m taking the Rams.

Chargers (1-3) @ Raiders (3-1) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking the Raiders.

NY Giants (2-1) @ Packers (2-1) [8:30pm NBC]
Dear Giants, prove me wrong. I’m picking the Packers because you’ve pissed me off. Love, Shenoa.

Monday, October 10th

Buccaneers (1-3) @ Panthers (1-3) [8:30pm ESPN]
Cam is in concussion protocol but I’m still picking the Panthers to win this game. Because, you know, they’ve got to win one eventually.

BYE: Chiefs, Jaguars, Seahawks, Saints

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Eric!!!!!
