The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 8 '15

The Shenoa Report
October 29, 2015
Regular Season Week 8

This is that “special” time of the year when pretty much all professional sports are in swing. The basketball season started Tuesday night with my boy Stephen Curry making 24 points in the 1st quarter alone, The World Series is also going on right now with the Royals leading the Mets 2-0, the NHL is also in full swing and my Rangers are doing pretty well, and there is football of course!!! If you’re a sports fan you’re probably in all your glory right now… but this is a football blog so back to football.

We’re heading into week 8 and there are still 5 teams that are undefeated, New England, Cincinnati, Denver, Green Bay, and Carolina. There have never been 5 undefeated teams this late in the NFL season, so once again history has been made. This will all change this week though because Denver is playing Green Bay so there may only be 4 undefeated teams… hopefully less, cough cough, New England.

Big news for the NY Giants, JPP is back on the team! My co-worker and I high fived and then high foured to celebrate his return. In other NY news, Steve Weatherford got picked up by the Jets (he was the Giants kicker but was let go at the beginning of the season when we could no longer afford him, I’m glad to see that he’s still in NY. Heck, he’s still in the same facility and his home games are still played in the same stadium. Good for him.)

I went 10-4 on my picks, The Giants won and are still at the top of the NFC East, AND I actually won in one of my fantasy leagues!!!!! Week 7 was a good week for me!!!

Let’s recap week seven.

Seahawks @ 49ers 20-3
The 49ers are so bad. Nothing else to report.

Bills @ Jaguars 31-34
I guess if you are a Bills fan that it was actually a good thing that it wasn’t as easy as turning on the tv to watch this game… I listened to some of the game as I was driving to fellowship and what I heard was TERRIBLE. It was like the Bills were trying to lose. They just kept giving the ball back to the Jags. It was an ugly game to hear, I can’t imagine what it was like to watch.

Buccaneers @ Redskins 30-31
At one point I actually thought that the Bucs were going to pull off the win… but they didn’t. Oh well, it was a nice attempt.

Falcons @ Titans 10-7
I’m not shocked at who won, but I am shocked at the low score.

Saints @ Colts 27-20
All I can say is that I hope the Saints don’t play this well in week 8…. But seriously, what happened to the Colts?

Vikings @ Lions 28-19
Wait, the Lions lost?!?!?! What a shocker… (insert sarcasm here)

Steelers @ Chiefs 13-23
Hey Chiefs, heeeeey!!!!! Well done, way to get your second win of the season.

Browns @ Rams 6-24
The Browns just can’t seem to get it together. That’s ok it’s a rebuilding year. (This is what they’ve said every year for the past forever)

Texans @ Dolphins 26-44
So, the Dolphins pretty much fired their coaching staff and now they are playing like this! Maybe they should have let people go a lot sooner? I decided to start Ryan Tannehill on my fantasy team and he threw 4 touchdowns in the first half!!!! Thanks Ryan! (I didn’t really have a choice being that my starting QB had a bye) On the other hand, Houston let Ryan Mallett (QB) go after he missed the plane to Miami to go to the game. If Houston is anything like Miami maybe they’ll get better too?

Jets @ Patriots 23-30
I was really hoping the Jets would knock the Pats off. They played a good, hard game. Silver linings, Steve Weatherford is back playing football in NY.

Raiders @ Chargers 37-29
Maybe it’s because I’m from the east coast, but I really have nothing to say about this game.

Cowboys @ NY Giants 20-27
GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Side note: I love my mom. Earlier this year she got a great promotion and a new office at her job. This past weekend I helped her re-arrange her office. I told her that the Giants played at 4:25 but I could help her until then. Well, 4:25 came and went but I didn’t want to leave her, I wanted to finish the job… so I didn’t watch this game. I listened to it while we moved computer systems and billions of tangled wires. I yelled, I sighed, I jumped, I danced, and I held my breath. I even got my mom to dance with me after the second interception recovered by the Giants. Afterwords I went home and watched the highlights over and over and over and over again. It was a great win and the muffed punt to end the game was the icing on the cake.  Our defense and special teams should get the game balls because they were definitely on point!

Eagles @ Panthers 16-27
I got a little nostalgic and home sick watching this game, wearing my Panthers t-shirt. Charlotte is such a beautiful city and I miss it terribly. When the cameras scanned the crowd I hoped that I’d see a friend. The Panthers made me proud. They played hard, and more importantly sent the Eagles home with a loss. This Giants fan thanks you Carolina. My favorite meme after the game was “Bye Phill-icia!!!”

Ravens @ Cardinals 18-26
The Ravens are arguably the worst team in the NFL. Ouch.

WEEK 8

Thursday October 29th

Dolphins (3-3) @ Patriots (6-0) [8:25pm CBS, NFLN]
I would love, love, LOVE to see the Dolphins continue their win streak. I’ll be rooting for them and I hope Miami is a head of your-ami. But I’m picking the Pats for the win in hopes that I’m super wrong.

Sunday November 1st

Lions (1-6) @ Chiefs (2-5) [9:30am FOX]
We have another morning game this Sunday because the Lions and the Chiefs are in London.  Maybe playing across the pond will help the Lions win… haha. That was a good joke Shenoa.  I’m picking the Chiefs. No the Lions. Hell, it’ll probably end in a tie.  I pick the Chiefs.

Buccaneers (2-4) @ Falcons (6-1) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Falcons but wouldn’t be surprised if Matty Ice blew it.

Cardinals (5-2) @ Browns (2-5)  [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Cards over the Browns.

49ers (2-5) @ Rams (3-3) [1pm FOX]
I think it’ll be the Rams over the 49ers.

NY Giants (4-3) @ Saints (3-4) [1pm FOX]
Dear Giants, don’t down-play this game. The Saints have won 3 in a row. Don’t make it 4. Play hard, smart, tough ball. And for goodness sakes, DON’T TURN THE BALL OVER. JPP is traveling with the team. Play your hearts out and win this game. Love, Shenoa. PS I’m picking the Giants for the win.

Vikings (4-2) @ Bears (2-4) [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Vikings to win this game.

Chargers (2-5) @ Ravens (1-6) [1pm CBS]
I’ll take the Ravens.

Bengals (6-0) @ Steelers (4-3) [1pm CBS]
I really think the Steelers are going to upset the Bengals.

Titans (1-5) @ Texans (2-5) [1pm CBS]
I think that the Texans might actually win this one.

Jets (4-2) @ Raiders (3-3) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m picking the Jets over the Raiders.

Seahawks (3-4) @ Cowboys (2-4) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m picking the Seahawks… don’t let me down!

Packers (6-0) @ Broncos (6-0) [8:30pm NBC]
Sorry Peyton… I’m picking the Packers even though the Broncos have the best defense in the league, they also have one of the worst, if not the worst offense…

Monday, November 2nd

Colts (3-4) @ Panthers (6-0) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Panthers for the win. Side note, it was 8 years ago when I went to my first NFL game. It was Indi at Carolina and I cried when I walked into the stadium and saw Peyton Manning on the field. A lot has happened in 8 years. Go Panthers!

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 7 '15

The Shenoa Report
October 22, 2015
Regular Season Week 7

I’d like to start off this week by saying thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read this little blog. It means so much to me when I hear that you’ve not only read it, but enjoyed it too!
We’re heading into week 7 and there are now 5 teams that are undefeated, New England, Cincinnati, Denver, Green Bay, and Carolina. Atlanta got knocked off, but you can read about that later. The games were pretty good this past weekend but Monday, not so much. As for my fantasy leagues, Yahoo Fantasy Football can kiss my ass. For whatever reason the changes I made to my line-ups didn’t go through and once again my opponents had their “Taco bye week”.
You may have noticed all the odd scores this season. Before the season started there was a rule change for the point after attempt (extra point after a touchdown). Last season the point after attempt was kicked at the 2-yard line, this season it has been pushed back to the 15-yard line. The rule actually get’s even more tricky… Now the point after attempt and the two-point conversion are  “live” plays meaning that either team can scoop up a loose ball and get a two-point score by carrying it into its respective end zone.  Because of this rule change there have been more missed extra points, and more two-point conversions leading to not so normal football final scores.
I went 7-7 on my picks, I know, I know, I can do better… so can the Giants…

Let’s recap week six.

Falcons @ Saints 21-31
I’ll have to admit I didn’t stay up for this game, but I was impressed that the Saints handed the Falcons their first loss of the season. Impressed, not surprised.

Redskins @ Jets 20-34
Well at least one NY team won in week 6…  not much to say about this game other than at least the Jets win helped the Giants… otherwise it was just another sloppy game.

Cardinals @ Steelers 13-25
It was the Steelers 3rd string quarterback, Landry Jones that got the job done, and I’m ok with that.

Chiefs @ Vikings 10-16
The Chiefs are just horrible this year…. I’d say it was a pretty easy win for the Vikings… but it wasn’t.

Bengals @ Bills 34-21
So, I wasn’t at this game and glad I didn’t go. It’s no fun to go to a football game where the team you are rooting for loses… Penalties continue to hurt the Bills and kill their chances to win football games.

Bears @ Lions 34-37 OT
To quote my good friend Dean, “I think it was a fluke. The Lions didn’t win this game rather it was the Bears who lost it. “ Well said my friend, well said. PS Dean is a Lions fan, if you couldn’t tell from other reports!

Broncos @ Browns 26-23 OT
Peyton didn’t listen to my kind note and threw THREE interceptions this game… it is truly defenses that win games and it’s a really good think for Peyton that the Broncos have the best defense in the NFL… Sorry Browns fans, at least you got to overtime before you lost… that doesn’t make it better though, does it?

Texans @ Jaguars 31-20
Houston got its first win of the season!!!!!!!!!!! That is all.

Dolphins @ Titans 38-10
And I thought it was the Dolphins that were a train wreck. Wauh wauh. Tennessee is TERRIBLE. Sorry Abby.

Panthers @ Seahawks 27-23
I’m proud of the Panthers, baffled by the Seahawks.  And even though my fantasy teams suck Greg Olson is on my team and he was clutch at the end of this game. True story.

Chargers @ Packers 20-27
This was a close win for the Packers. The Chargers could have sent it into overtime but failed to get in the end zone on 4th and goal with just 15 seconds left in the game.

Ravens @ 49ers 20-25
I don’t know what’s more unbelievable, the Ravens with a 1 and 5 record or the 49ers at 2 and 4.  It’s hard to believe that it was just a few years ago they were in the Super Bowl 47. It’s easy to say that they are no longer Super Bowl caliber teams.

Patriots @ Colts 34-27
You would’ve thought it was Rex Ryan coaching when the Colts tried a fake botched punt… oh well. At least the Colts made it a game this time.

NY Giants @ Eagles 7-27
Next time these two teams play each other I am just going to watch Silver Linings Play Book instead because I know that the Giants win in that movie…
This game was HORRIBLE. It was UGLY, and neither team should feel good about it. It’s games like these that make the NFC East the butt of a joke. Giants, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You didn’t even give your fans false hope (well maybe the first drive). There was no hope. Talk about playing down to the level of your opponent… Terrible.

WEEK 7

Thursday October 22nd

Seahawks (2-4) @ 49ers (2-4) [8:25pm CBS, NFLN]
I’m picking the Seahawks for the win.

Sunday October 25th

Bills (3-3) @ Jaguars (1-5) [9:30am YAHOO]
Note the time and where to watch above! We have another morning game this Sunday because the Bills and Jaguars are in London. If you’re an avid football fan like myself you might be thinking, “Nice! Another morning game. Grab the remote and find CBS!” Not so fast, you’ll need to grab your laptop, ipad, or phone to watch this game. Basically, if you don’t have the Internet you will not be able to watch it, unless you live in Buffalo or Jacksonville. The NFL is ONLY allowing the game to be shown by CBS in Buffalo and Jacksonville, which are considered “primary” markets. Everywhere else in the world the game will only be available via YAHOO. This game will NOT be aired on network tv or the NFL Sunday ticket (I’d be pretty pissed if I paid for the Sunday Ticket and couldn’t watch this game on tv).
So now you know when and where to watch it. I’m picking the Bills to win this game even though they aren’t the “home” team.

Buccaneers (2-3) @ Redskins (2-4) [1pm FOX]
I’ll be rooting for the Bucs but picking the Redskins for the win.

Falcons (5-1) @ Titans (1-4)  [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Falcons for the win.

Saints (2-4) @ Colts (3-3) [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Colts, although the Saints finally showed up last week.

Vikings (3-2) @ Lions (1-5) [1pm FOX]
I’d like to see the Lions win… but I’m going to have to pick the Vikings for the win because I know better than to pick the Lions.

Steelers (4-2) @ Chiefs (1-5) [1pm CBS]
I’d love to see the Chiefs win this game, but it isn’t likely. I’m picking the Steelers for the win.

Browns (2-4) @ Rams (2-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Rams for the win, but I think it’ll be a close game.

Texans (2-4) @ Dolphins (2-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Dolphins for the win.  I’m not sure why.

Jets (4-1) @ Patriots (5-0) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Pats for the win in hopes that the Jets win instead.

Raiders (2-3) @ Chargers (2-4) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m picking the Chargers for the win.

Cowboys (2-3) @ NY Giants (3-3) [4:25pm FOX]
Here’s an idea NY, NO TURNOVERS! Here’s another idea, GET ANOTHER DIVISION WIN! I want to pick the Giants, I’d like to pick the Giants but I’m so mad at their performance from last week that I’m having trouble. I’ll always be a fan and I’ll always love them but right now I’m disappointed. Last week should’ve been an EASY win... OK, clean slate, (I’m being the bigger person right now) I’m picking the Giants for the win only because I refuse to pick the Cowboys.

Eagles (3-3) @ Panthers (5-0) [8:30pm NBC]
I’m picking the Panthers for the win. No hesitation. GET. IT. DONE. KEEP POUNDING THOSE EAGLES!

Monday, October 19th

Ravens (1-5) @ Cardinals (4-2) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Cardinals for the win!

BYES: Bengals, Broncos, Bears, OH MY! Just kidding. And Packers.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Mom!!!!!

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 6 '15

The Shenoa Report
October 15, 2015
Regular Season Week 6

We’re heading into week 6 and there are still 6 teams that are undefeated, New England, Cincinnati, Denver, Green Bay, Atlanta, and Carolina. Yeah, I know, I’m still scratching my head. On the other hand, there is only one team winless, Detroit. I must say, not so shocking (sorry Dean).
It was another good week for the Giants, who are now at the top of the NFC East!!!!!! The same can’t be said for my fantasy teams, my teams are terrible. I’m like the character Taco in “The League”.
I went 9-5 on my picks this past week but really, who thought the Browns and Bears would win.

Let’s recap week five.

 Colts @ Texans 27-20
The Texans are so terrible that even with the Colts being Luckless they couldn’t pull off a win.

 Bears @ Chiefs 18-17
The Bears won a game? DA BEARS won a game! This is not a joke.

Seahawks @ Bengals 24-27 OT
The Seahawks blew a 17 point lead…disgusting. Talk about false hope for the Seattle fans. I still don’t believe the Ginger is all he’s cracked up to be.

Redskins @ Falcons 19-25 OT
I thought the Redskins might pull off a win… for about 3.2 seconds; the rest of the game, not so much. Thanks Falcons!

Jaguars @ Buccaneers 31-38
This was basically a battle of who could care less… and the Bucs improve to 2

Saints @ Eagles 17-39
Damnit Saints. Way to NOT show up for the game.

Browns @ Ravens 33-30 OT
CLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVVLLAAAAAAAAAANNNND!!!!!!!!!!! Woot woot! Way to not quit Browns!

Rams @ Packers 10-24
Rodgers threw not one but two interceptions for the first time in what seems like a gazillion years. Don’t worry the Packers still won… cause they are that good.

Bills @ Titans 14-13
Wow Bills, way to squeak out that win. And yet another heartbreaking loss for the Titans, who thought they had won the game.

Cardinals @ Lions 42-17
I don’t think I’ll be picking the Lions for a win anytime soon. That was awful. It got so bad that Matt Stafford was benched thinking things would get better… it didn’t get better. Will it be another 0-16 year for the Lions?

Patriots @ Cowboys 30-6
I can’t say I’m surprised.  The best part of this game was watching Brady get knocked down a lot.

Broncos @ Raiders 16-10
Peyton now has more interceptions (7) than touchdowns (6) this season…. You. Are. Killing. Me. In. Fantasy.  Once again because of their defense the Broncos were able to pull off a win.

49ers @ NY Giants 27-30
I’m pretty sure Eli’s middle name is Clutch. I’m also pretty sure that true Giants fans have tough hearts. This was supposed to be an “easy” game.  Man, oh man, I’m just glad we came out with the win.  I don’t like close games like this, my heart and I prefer blowout wins.

Steelers  @ Chargers 24-20
It would be Le’Veon Bell to save the day, and the game. Sorry Chargers fans.

WEEK 6

Thursday October 15th

Falcons (5-0) @ Saints (1-4) [8:25pm CBS, NFLN]
I might watch the first quarter. I’m expecting it to be a blowout and not really worth watching. I’m picking the Falcons for the win.

Sunday October 18th

Redskins (2-3) @ Jets (3-1) [1:00pm FOX]
I’m picking the J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!

Cardinals (4-1) @ Steelers (3-2) [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Cardinals. Don’t let me down Arizona

Chiefs (1-4) @ Vikings (2-2)  [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Vikings. I really didn’t think the Chiefs would be this bad this year.

Bengals (5-0) @ Bills (3-2) [1pm CBS]
I might be at this game! Either way I’m picking the Bills for the win, because sooner or later the Ginger will pull an Andy Dalton.

Bears (2-3) @ Lions (0-5) [1pm FOX]
I’d like to see the Lions get a win… but I’m going to have to pick the Bears for the win.

Broncos (5-0) @ Browns (2-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Broncos for the win. Dear Peyton, please stop throwing to the other team. Love, Shenoa.

Texans (1-4) @ Jaguars (1-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m going to pick the Texans for the win because I haven’t learned my lesson yet.

Dolphins (1-3) @ Titans (1-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Titans to win. The Dolphins are a train wreck. Chooooo chooooooo

Panthers (4-0) @ Seahawks (2-3) [4:05pm FOX]
Sorry Panthers fans, I’m picking the Seahawks.

Chargers (2-3) @ Packers (5-0) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking Green Bay. Go Pack Go.

Ravens (1-4) @ 49ers (1-4) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking the 49ers?

Patriots (4-0) @ Colts (3-2) [8:30pm NBC]
Blah blah blah, deflate gate rematch. Blah blah blah, Patriots win.

Monday, October 19th

NY Giants (3-2) @ Eagles (2-3) [8:30pm ESPN]
Dear Giants, please beat the opponent soundly. But seriously, you need to win this game. No exceptions. Love, Shenoa. GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BYES: Raiders, Cowboys, Rams, Buccaneers

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 5 '15

The Shenoa Report
October 8, 2015
Regular Season Week 5

I’ve always said that as long as the Giants win I don’t care how I do in fantasy football, and it’s true. I’ll take a Giants win over a fantasy win any day. And I lost BIG in fantasy this week… Still smiling because the Giants surprised me.  Instead of false hope they have given me real hope once again. I’m still in shock actually, but I’ll take it.
I went 12-3 on my picks this week, which isn’t too shabby!
The news this week in the NFL was mainly about blown calls and blown kicks, a lot of wide lefts and wide rights. Thankfully the Giants still won and we didn’t have to see Tom Brady or Bill Belichick’s face because they had their bye this past week.

Let’s recap week four.

Ravens @ Steelers 23-20 OT
The Ravens got their first win of the season and it came in overtime. Unfortunately I went to bed early in the 3rd quarter because I thought it was going to be a Steelers win. Oh well.

Jets @ Dolphins 27-14
It was really great waking up Sunday morning and turning on the tv to watch this game. Thank you England for making this possible, but I do have to say that someone blew it big time by putting “JETS” on one of the end zones at Wembley field. This was supposed to be a Dolphins home game. This was an ugly game and things didn’t get any better for Miami. Though their sack stat doubled after the Dolphins head coach Joe Phibin was sacked. Philbin lost his job and the Dolphins defense really only have one sack this season.

NY Giants @ Bills 24-10
Holy moly we won!!!!!! Sorry Bills fans, I was quite surprised as well, extremely happy and proud, but still surprised. The Giants defense,  still missing JPP, is doing quite stellar. They kept the Bills scoreless on two red-zone appearances and just played smart ball. The Bills on the other hand had 17, SEVENTEEN, penalties!!!! That’s just sloppy. Eli had his first interception of the season on his last throw of the game BUT he also threw 3 touchdown passes.  All in all it was a GREAT game!  Giants fans bELIeve too ;)

Jaguars @ Colts 13-16-OT
Luck was out for the Colts but Indi still hung on to win the game. Jaguars kicker may be looking for a new job somewhere soon, missing 3 field goals and the chance to beat their division opponent.

Raiders @ Bears 20-22
Jay Cutler pretty much was the hero for the Bears. Yes, you read that sentence right. It’s true for this game at least. I know, I’m a little bit perplexed too.

Texans @ Falcons 21-48
The Falcons are killing it this year. It’s strange. And I think it’s safe to say that Houston is truly terrible. Sorry JJ, I still love you.

Panthers @ Buccaneers 37-23
The Panthers are now 4-0. I repeat, the Panthers are now 4-0!  I miss Charlotte.

Eagles @ Redskins 20-23
Kirk Cousins is making it happen for the Redskins and Sam Bradford is doing the same for the Eagles, but it was a little too late for the Eagles. Maybe if they had a kicker that actually made clutch points… Keep up the “good” work Caleb Sturgis, you’re helping out the GMEN!!!!

Chiefs @ Bengals 21-36
The Bengals are 4-0? Say whaaaaaaaat? (Insert witty ginger remark here)

Browns @ Chargers 27-30
Another heartbreaking loss for Brownie fans, a missed field goal that would have led to a Cleveland win, only there was a penalty and Chargers kicker got a second chance and made it.

Packers @ 49ers 17-3
I really, really thought this was going to be a high scoring game. Clay Matthews had some jabs for 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick too. After sacking him Clay kissed his own right biceps in Kaepernick style. He also said “You ain’t Russell Wilson, bro!” I think it’s safe to say that Clay was in Colin’s head.

Rams @ Cardinals 24-22
This is all too familiar for Cardinal fans. They’re hot, hot, hot, and then not. It was fun while it lasted though, right?

Vikings @ Broncos 20-23
It’s a good thing that Peyton Manning has a phenomenal defense because he is not doing well this season. Manning had 2 interceptions this game, which brings his total this season to 5. My dad and I used to say “Eli! Start throwing like Peyton!” now we are saying “Peyton! Start throwing like Eli!”

Cowboys @ Saints 20-26 OT
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS! So, before this game my dad and I started singing “Oh when the saints go marching in…” it worked!!! Thank you Saints! That is all.

Lions @ Seahawks 10-13
The refs got it wrong. There should have been a penalty for hitting the ball out of the end zone but because there was no call the Seahawks took the win. This isn’t the first time that the Seahawks have “won” on MNF because of a call by the officials in the end zone… sorry Green Bay fans for bringing it up again.

WEEK 5

Thursday October 8th

Colts (2-2) @ Texans (1-3) [8:25pm CBS, NFLN]
Luck is out for the Colts and the Texans are playing at home. I think I’m still going to pick the Colts for the win only because JJ Watt can’t play offense, defense, throw, and catch the ball…

Sunday October 11th

Bears (1-3) @ Chiefs (1-3) [1:00pm FOX]
I’m picking the Chiefs for the win. I don’t think that the Bears can win two in a row.

Seahawks (2-2) @ Bengals (4-0) [1pm FOX]
Everyone seems to think that the Bengals are a force to be reckoned with… I’m not buying it so I’m picking the Seahawks for the win.

Redskins (2-2) @ Falcons (4-0)  [1pm FOX]
I’m picking Atlanta for the win. GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jaguars (1-3) @ Buccaneers (1-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bucs for the win especially if it comes down to a Jaguars field goal to seal the deal.

Saints (1-3) @ Eagles (1-3) [1pm FOX]
Can the Saints win two in a row? I hope so! I’m picking the Eagles but hoping for a Saints win.

Browns (1-3) @ Ravens (1-3) [1pm CBS]
I’m going to pick the Ravens for a win. Sorry Brownie fans.

Rams (2-2) @ Packers (4-0) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Packers for the win!

Bills (2-2) @ Titans (1-2) [1pm CBS]
I think that the Bills will bounce back and get this win.

Cardinals (3-1) @ Lions (0-4) [4:05pm FOX]
I think that the Lions are going to play hard and get their first win of the season.
You’re welcome Dean!

Patriots (3-0) @ Cowboys (2-2) [4:25pm CBS]
This will be one of the only times this season that I’ll be happy with a Pats win! I’m picking the Patriots to beat the snot out of the Cowboys.

Broncos (4-0) @ Raiders (2-2) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m going with the Broncos for the win.

49ers (1-3) @ NY Giants (2-2) [8:30pm NBC]
Another prime time game for the Giants and hopefully the chance to take the top of the NFC East!!!!!! I’m picking the Giants for the win!

Monday, October 12th

Steelers (2-2) @ Chargers (2-2) [8:30pm ESPN]
Without Big Ben I’m picking the Chargers for the win.

BYES: Dolphins, Jets, Vikings, Panthers

Regular Season Week 4

Happy October! This means you’ll see a lot of pink while watching football, as this is breast cancer awareness month in the NFL. I am also participating again this year by having some pink streaks in my hair!

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to wake up Sunday morning and watch football while eating breakfast (this mainly applies to people who live on the east coast)? Well you’ll get your chance this Sunday because the Jets and Dolphins are playing in London and the game starts at 9:30am EST!

I’ve bounced back in the football world going 13-3 on my picks and winning both match-ups in fantasy.  We still have a number of undefeated teams and also a number of winless teams. Winless teams include Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, and New Orleans, all of which are pretty surprising in my opinion.  Teams that are 3-0 are Arizona, Atlanta, Carolina, Green Bay, Denver, Cincinnati, and New England. I’m pretty sure that these lists will dwindle by the end of week four.

My happiest moment in week 3 was when the NY Football Giants actually won!

Let’s recap week three.

Redskins @ NY Giants 21-32

Finally a game that isn’t too painful to write about. This time I prepared myself for the game. I wore my Giants socks, blue Eli Manning jersey, and my NY Giants underwear!  I’m not superstitious just a "little-stitious".

The Giants not only won this game but scored multiple ways! We had a safety, field goals, and offensive touchdowns. I would have liked a pick 6 but there is still a lot of season left. Eli had another good game and has no interceptions in his first three games. (Peyton on the other hand has one in every game so far if you can believe that.)  Once our team gets healthy I really feel like we are going to be unstoppable.

Falcons @ Cowboys 39-28

Juuuullllliiiiiiioooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! This win for Atlanta actually made me feel a little better about the Giants loss the week prior. This Falcons team is 3-0 and is shocking the nation, or at least football fans across the nation.  As for the Cowboys I think this is just the beginning of their losing streak.

Colts @ Titans 35-33

The Colts finally have a W in their win column. It took quite the comeback though.  It looks as though Indi’s “Luck” hasn’t run out just yet.  Sorry Tennessee, that loss was pretty devastating.

Raiders @ Browns 27-20

Called it! I knew if Johnny Football was benched, all that momentum coming into this game would be lost.

Bengals @ Ravens 28-24

Wow the Bengals are 3-0 and the Ravens 0-3… that pretty much sums it up.

Jaguars @ Patriots 17-51

Does this score shock anyone? No, I didn’t think so.

Saints @ Panthers 22-27

This is another head scratcher the Saints are 0-3 and the Panthers are undefeated.

Eagles @ Jets 24-17

I should have known better, the Jets still have a lot of work to do and I really think the Eagles got lucky.  This was an ugly game to watch, especially Brandon Marshall’s fumble… It’s right up there with the butt fumble.

Buccaneers  @ Texans 9-19

I’m glad to see that the Texans actually got their first win.

Chargers @ Vikings 14-31

Adrian Peterson has got his groove back and had two rushing touchdowns to help the Vikings win over the Chargers.

Steelers @ Rams 12-6

The start of this game was delayed due to a FIRE on the field during the pregame show. Crazy! Big Ben left the game with a knee injury and wasn’t able to return. It’s a good thing that the Steelers have one of the best  running backs in the NFL in Le’Veon Bell. Without Roethlisberger it wasn’t a high scoring game, which really helped me in fantasy being my opponent had Ben for his QB!

49ers @ Cardinals 7-47

Is it too early to stick a fork in San Fran? Because I’m pretty sure they’re done.

Bills @ Dolphins 41-14

The Bills defense is legit intercepting Ryan Tannehill three times in the first half. It was good to see the Bills bounce back after the Pats loss.

Bears @ Seahawks 0-26

SHUT OUT! Ouch Chicago. Way to bounce back and get your first win of the season Seattle.

Broncos @ Lions 24-12

The highlight of this game was the lunar eclipse. Sorry guys but it’s true. I still love Peyton but he’s got to stop throwing interceptions. At least the Broncos won. In other news, the Lions are terrible this year, sorry Dean.

Chiefs @ Packers 28-38

Aaron Rodgers is a beast, 5 touchdowns, wow. That’s all I really need to say about that.  At least the Chiefs have the most attractive QB in the NFL in my opinion. Is Alex Smith single?

WEEK 4

Thursday October 1st

Ravens (0-3) @ Steelers (2-1) [8:25pm CBS, NFLN]

Big Ben is out for the Steelers

Sunday October 4th

Jets (2-1) @ Dolphins (1-2) [9:30am CBS]

I’m picking the Jets to bounce back in England. Even though this is a “home” game for the Dolphins they are a ways from home.

NY Giants (1-2) @ Bills (2-1) [1pm FOX]

Man! I want to pick the Giants for the win, and I’ll be rooting for them, but if I was a betting person I would put my money on the Bills. Thankfully I’m not a betting person. Go GMEN!  (But I’m picking the Bills for the win. I really, really hope I’m wrong)

Jaguars (1-2) @ Colts (1-2)  [1pm CBS]

I’m picking the Colts for the win.

Raiders (2-1) @ Bears (0-3) [1pm CBS]

I’m going to have to go with the Raiders for the win.

Texans (1-2) @ Falcons (3-0) [1pm CBS]

I’m picking the Falcons for the win.

Panthers (3-0) @ Buccaneers (1-2) [1pm FOX]

I’m taking the Panthers over the Bucs.

Eagles (1-2) @ Redskins (1-2) [1pm FOX]

Heh. Hopefully they’ll tie. I’ll pick the Redskins for the win only because they are the lesser of two evils.

Chiefs (1-1) @ Bengals (3-0) [1pm CBS]

I’m picking the Bengals for the win.

Browns (1-2) @ Chargers (1-2) [4:05pm CBS]

I think the Chargers will win at home.

Packers (3-0) @ 49ers (1-2) [4:25pm FOX]

The Packers are going to walk alllll over the 49ers. I’m picking Green Bay for the win.

Rams (1-2) @ Cardinals (3-0) [4:25pm FOX]

I’m going with the Cardinals for the win.

Vikings (2-1) @ Broncos (3-0) [4:25pm FOX]

I think the Broncos are going to go 4-0

Cowboys (2-1) @ Saints (0-3) [8:30pm NBC]

I’m really hoping the Saints get their first win of the season. I’m picking the Saints….

Monday, October 5th
