The Shenoa Report

Regular Season Week 13

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!! Today I am writing you from my parent’s house in snowy NY. I had to get up extra early so that I could A#1 write this report, B#2 watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and C#3 start baking the feast all before football starts at 12:30pm. Priorities. In discussing what time we should actually have dinner today my dad and I had to look at who was playing and when so we wouldn’t miss any football. We’ll be eating around 4pm. I love my family.
I did much better on my picks this week 11-4 and I had a crushing win in fantasy 68-130 bringing my record to 9-3, which is coincidently the reciprocal record of the NY Giants… at least one of us is having a good season this year.

 Anyway…
Let’s recap week 12

Chiefs @ Raiders 20-24
The Raiders finally got a win! The Raiders finally got a win!

Browns @ Falcons 26-24
The guy I’m dating finally got to see regular season football Shenoa. He lives in Atlanta so we don’t spend many Sunday’s together, especially during the football season. This was a particularly exciting game to watch… only because it was the only game they were airing in Atlanta.  Of course we rooted for the Browns and were happy that they won. PS he told me that this was the first full football game he had watched in years… I said, “Yeah I have that effect on people. “

Titans @ Eagles 24-43
At least the Titans put up a fight… kinda

Lions @ Patriots 9-34
Well Matt Prater had a good game scoring the only points for the Lions, even though he missed one field goal. I have nothing nice to say about the Patriots except Gronk dancing on the sideline was entertaining to watch, even though he should learn to dance while keeping his tongue in his mouth… Maybe he was really concentrating on his moves.

Packers @ Vikings 24-21
Hey at least the Vikings put up a really good fight and made the Packers work for that win.

Jaguars @ Colts 3-23
This game was UGLY. There were so many turnovers they could have opened a bakery.

Bengals @ Texans 22-13
When Andy Dalton has a good game the Bengals have a good game, and the Ginger had a good day.

Buccaneers @ Bears 13-21
Da Bears beat their former coach Lovie Smith in this anticlimactic game.

Cardinals @ Seahawks 3-19
The Seahawks decided to actually play like the Seahawks and knocked the Cardinals amazing record down to their second loss of the season.

Rams @ Chargers 24-27
This is why I don’t pick the Rams to win… you let me down Bumblebees.

Dolphins @ Broncos 36-39
This game reminded me of the Colts 10 years ago.  Peyton and the boys would be down the whole game and in the 4th quarter he would decide to light it up. This was a great game with a fantastic ending.

Redskins @ 49ers 13-17
I’m going to say it… the 49ers are NOT good, they just get lucky… PS the Redskins are benching RG3

Cowboys @ Giants 31-28
Odell Beckham Jr.’s AMAZING PHENOMINAL 3 FINGERED TOUCHDOWN CATCH BROKE THE INTERNET, and the Giants once again broke my heart. What a game.

Ravens @ Saints 34-27
I can’t believe that the Saints lost at home. I’m not sad though because I have Justin Forsett on my fantasy team and he killed it for the Ravens with 182 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns.

Jets @ Bills 3-38
The snow didn’t seem to affect the Bills one iota; in fact it fueled Buffalo into a tremendous win over the Jets in Detroit.

WEEK 13

Thursday November 27th

Bears (5-6) @ Lions (7-4) [12:30pm CBS]
In the past 10 years of Thanksgiving games the Lions have only won one game and that was last year. I’m picking the Lions to win this game too.

Eagles (8-3) @ Cowboys (8-3) [4:30pm FOX]
In the past 10 years of Thanksgiving games the Cowboys have won 7 times and I’m picking them to win today. I’m actually hoping that this game ends in a tie and I’ll be rooting for the defense…

Seahawks (7-4) @ 49ers (7-4) [8:30pm NBC]
I’m picking the Seahawks for the win.

Sunday November 30th

Titans (2-9) @ Texans (5-6) [1pm CBS]
I’m going with the Texans.

Raiders (1-10) @ Rams (4-7) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Rams.

Chargers (7-4) @ Ravens (7-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m taking the Ravens.

Browns (7-4) @ Bills (6-5)  [1pm CBS]
This game should be played in Buffalo this Sunday after that massive snowstorm. It should be a good game and I’m picking the Bills for the win.

Bengals (7-3-1) @ Buccaneers (2-9) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bengals for the win.

Redskins (3-8) @ Colts (7-4) [1pm FOX]
I feel pretty confident in a Colts win…

NY Giants (3-8) @ Jaguars (1-10) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Giants for the win. I mean, for the love of God, please get the win.

Panthers (3-7-1) @ Vikings (4-7) [1pm FOX]
The Panthers are coming off their bye but I still don’t see them winning this game. We’ll see. I’m picking the Vikings.

Saints (4-7) @ Steelers (7-4) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Steelers but will be rooting for the Saints.

Cardinals (9-2) @ Falcons (4-7) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m picking the Cardinals for the win.

Patriots (9-2) @ Packers (8-3) [4:25pm CBS]
Picking the Pats to ensure a Packers win.

Broncos (8-3) @ Chiefs (7-4) [8:30pm NBC]
This is going to be a good close game. I’m picking the Broncos to win.

Monday December 1st

Dolphins (6-5) @ Jets (2-9) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’ll have to go with the Dolphins…

There are no more byes for the rest of the season.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Mom!!!!!

The Shenoa Report Week 12 '14

The Shenoa Report
November 20, 2014
Regular Season Week 12

I am naming this past week in football Twilight Zone Week. This was the most bizarre week yet and my picks reflect that at 7-7. I mean who would have thought that the Rams would have beat the Broncos?! I know, I know, any given day any given team can win. The Twilight Zone Week may be continuing at least in Buffalo as the city was hit with over 6ft of snow. The Bills are were expecting to play at home and offering $10/hr and tickets to the game to help with snow removal but with Buffalo expected to get another 2 to 3 foot of snow today they will probably move the game day and location to Monday or Tuesday at either Detroit or Washington’s stadium.
I know, you know that my comments can be somewhat snarky in this report, but after last weekend you’d better buckle up because Snarky McSnarkerson is in town.  My fantasy team is now 8-3 after a miserable loss (I don’t even want to tell you the final score but I will 115-83) Anyway…
Let’s recap week 11

Bills @ Dolphins 9-22
In beautiful Buffalo style they failed to finish the game.

Vikings @ Bears 13-21
Hey, hey, hey the Bears finally get a win and Brandon Marshall finally gets not one but two touchdowns.

Texans @ Browns 23-7
J.J. Watt messed Cleveland up!

Falcons  @ Panthers 19-17
It’s safe to say that the NFC South is pathetic. With the Falcons win they now are tied for first place with a 4-6 record… really nothing to boast about.

Bengals @ Saints 27-10
Wait, the Saints lost at home again? To the Ginger and the other tigers? Classic.

Buccaneers @ Redskins 27-7
Who gave the Bucs their second win of the season? The Washington Redskins of course. Way-to-go Bucs!

Broncos @ Rams 7-22
On any given day….

49ers  @ NY Giants 16-10
If I were the 49ers I’d be pretty embarrassed at that win. You intercepted Eli 5 times and only scored 16 points? As for the Giants… still love you guys even though you fail to meet my expectations. Hey at least you have more wins than that team you share a stadium with.

Seahawks @ Chiefs 20-24
I picked the Chiefs to win? Yeah, it surprised me too. Not gonna lie, that Alex Smith is pretty dreamy. But thanks to Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch having a crappy game my fantasy team lost.

Raiders @ Chargers 6-13
The Raiders almost got a win… but almost doesn’t count in football. Just ask the NY Giants…

Lions @ Cardinals 6-14
The Cards defense is legit… that’s why I have them on my fantasy team. I mean they only let the Lions in the redzone once the entire game.

Eagles @ Packers 20-53
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. It’s always really nice to see the Eagles lose horribly. Thanks Green Bay.

Patriots @ Colts 42-20
I would have liked to see the Colts put up a better fight but I’m not surprised by any means.

Steelers @ Titans 27-24
The Titans almost beat the Steelers!  Oh yeah, almost doesn’t count in football…

WEEK 12

Thursday November 20th

Chiefs (7-3) @ Raiders (0-10) [8:25pm NFLN]
I’m going to have to pick the Chiefs even though the Raiders are due for a win. Looking forward to another Thursday Night Blowout Football Game.

Sunday November 23rd

Browns (6-4) @ Falcons (4-6) [1pm CBS]
I’m thinking that the Browns will bounce back.

Titans (2-8) @ Eagles (7-3) [1pm CBS]
I’ll be rooting for the Titans and picking the Eagles.

Lions (7-3) @ Patriots (8-2) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Pats but only so the Lions have a chance of winning.

Packers (7-3) @ Vikings (4-6)  [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Packers over the Vikings in the rival game.

Jaguars (1-9) @ Colts (6-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m thinking the Colts will bounce back this week though stranger things have happened.

Bengals (6-3-1) @ Texans (5-5) [1pm CBS]
The Bengals surprised me last week, as did the Texans… decisions decisions. I’m picking the Texans.

Jets (2-8) @ Bills (5-5) [1pm CBS]
The Bills have had to cancel practice for the second day in a row due to a travel ban, they are also planning to move the game to another day and different stadium. With all that said I’m still picking the Bills to win.

Buccaneers (2-8) @ Bears (4-6) [1pm FOX]
I’m going with the Bears.

Cardinals (9-1) @ Seahawks (6-4) [4:05pm FOX]
This should be a good game. The Cardinals have the best record in the NFL and the Seahawks are slipping but will be playing at home.

Rams (4-6) @ Chargers (6-4) [4:05pm FOX]
After last week I think I’m going to pick the Rams to win.

Dolphins (6-4) @ Broncos (7-3) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking the Broncos to bounce back and win.

Redskins (3-7) @ 49ers (6-3) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m going to have to take the 49ers.

Cowboys (7-3) @ Giants (3-7) [8:30pm NBC]
This is going to be a tough game for me. My Uncle Jim was a huge Cowboys fan. (It’s probably one of the only things we didn’t agree on.) This will be the one year anniversary of his passing. I’ve been an emotional wreck all week missing him… As much as I’d like the Giants to win (and I’ll be rooting for them too) I’m going to pick the Cowboys for the win in honor of my Uncle Jim.

Monday November 24th

Ravens (6-4) @ Saints (4-6) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Saints for the win.

********Jets (2-8) @ Bills (5-5) [TBA]*********
The Bills have had to cancel practice for the second day in a row due to a travel ban, they are also planning to move the game to another day and different stadium. With all that said I’m still picking the Bills to win.

TEAMS WITH BYES: Steelers, Panthers

The Shenoa Report Regular Season Week 11 '14

The Shenoa Report
November 13, 2014
Regular Season Week 11

Week 11 is here. Where has the time gone? I’m at a loss for words right now…
Maybe I’d have more if my team were better…
Oh yes, I thought it was pretty awesome that the Thursday night games were also aired on CBS… up until last week. And now if you don’t have the NFL Network you’re out of luck. I’m house sitting this week. No NFL Network… Guess I’ll be watching the game from my computer. First world problems.
My fantasy team is now 8-2! Woot woot! And, I did ok on my picks this past week: 8-5.
Anyway…
Let’s recap week 10

Browns @ Bengals 24-3
The Browns are for real.

Cowboys @ Jaguars 31-17
This game was played in London, wish the Jags would have won…

49ers @ Saints 27-24 OT
A penalty took away the Saints game winning touchdown so the 49ers won in overtime.

Falcons @ Buccaneers 27-17
Shocking? No, not really.

Chiefs @ Bills 17-13
Sorry Bills fans… maybe it was because I didn’t wear my Bills t-shirt.

Dolphins @ Lions 16-20
The Lions sure are glad that Megatron is back.

Titans @ Ravens 7-21
Nothing big to report here.

Steelers @ Jets 13-20
HOLY MOLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, WOW.  The circus comments have ceased… for a minute.  PS I’m so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, sorry Jim.

Broncos @ Raiders 41-17
At least one Manning had a good game. Peyton threw 5 touchdown passes in roughly 16 minutes.  No big deal.

Rams @ Cardinals 14-31
Well done, Cardinals.

NY Giants @ Seahawks 17-38
Sigh. At least I have Wilson & Lynch on my fantasy team…

Bears @ Packers 14-55
Go Pack Go? Ouch.

Panthers @ Eagles 21-45
 Yeah… this game sucked.

WEEK 11

Thursday November 13th

Bills (5-4) @ Dolphins (5-4) [8:25pm NFLN]
Hmmmmm the Bills?

Sunday November 16th

Vikings (4-5) @ Bears (3-6) [1pm CBS]
The Bears are bound to win one eventually. I’m picking Chicago.

Texans (4-5) @ Browns (6-3) [1pm CBS]
 Going with the Brownies.

Falcons (3-6) @ Panthers (3-6-1) [1pm FOX]
Picking the Panthers. You’re Welcome.

Bengals (5-3-1) @ Saints (4-5)  [1pm CBS]
 Picking the Saints.

Buccaneers (1-8) @ Redskins (3-6) [1pm FOX]
Going with the Redskins.

Broncos (7-2) @ Rams (3-6) [1pm CBS]
Taking the Broncos.

49ers (5-4) @ NY Giants (3-6) [1pm FOX]
blahhhblaahhhblaaaaaahhhahahahahahahahaha (I’m openly weeping) Picking the Giants… I’m delusional. I know.

Seahawks (6-3) @ Chiefs (6-3) [1pm FOX]
Chiefs.

Raiders (0-9) @ Chargers (5-4) [4:05pm CBS]
 I’m picking the Chargers.

Lions (7-2) @ Cardinals (8-1) [4:25pm FOX]
Sorry Detroit, I’m picking the Cards.

Eagles (7-2) @ Packers (6-3) [4:25pm FOX]
Go Pack Go!!!!!

Patriots (7-2) @ Colts (6-3) [8:30pm NBC]
Rooting the Colts picking the Pats.

Monday November 17th

Steelers (6-4) @ Titans (2-7) [8:30pm ESPN]
Going with the Steelers.

THE SHENOA REPORT Week 10 '14

The Shenoa Report
November 6, 2014
Regular Season Week 10

A shout out to my nephew who is 3 today! Happy Birthday Gid love you lots!!! The day he was born the NY Football Giants beat the Patriots. (Yes, this is how I remember events in my life. They all seem to be football related.) Later that season the Giants beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Oh to reminisce….
All of my teams lost last week, horribly… therefore I’m not very excited to write this report this week. But it’s a new week, a fresh start. I guess things could be worse… I could be a Raiders fan or a Jets fan…
My fantasy team is now 7-2! Woot woot! And, I did pretty good on my picks this past week: 9-4.
Anyway…
Let’s recap week 9

Saints @ Panthers 28-10
The outcome to this game wasn’t too shocking. It’s not cool living with a Panthers fan now that they haven’t won a game in a month….

Buccaneers @ Browns 17-22
My friend David said the other day “you know it’s a crazy weird season when out of all your teams it’s the Cleveland Browns that give you hope” Well done Brownies.

Cardinals @ Cowboys 28-17
Romo’s out with 2 broken bones in his back… and their backup didn’t fare any better. Well done Cardinals.

Eagles @ Texans 31-21
At least the Texans put up a fight. Sort of. Eagles starting QB got hurt so Mark Sanchez stepped in and brought the team to victory… Bet Rex Ryan misses Sanchez right about now.

Jets @ Chiefs 10-24
I heard that Rex Ryan was a defensive genius, so can someone explain to me why his team is now 1-8?  In other news, good job Chiefs.

Jaguars @ Bengals 23-33
In the battle of the big cats the Jags looked more like kittens.

Chargers @ Dolphins 0-37
This game shocked me! Way to shut out the Chargers Miami!

Redskins @ Vikings 26-29
Yeah that score sounds about right. RG3 is back for the Redskins.

Rams @ 49ers 13-10
The bumblebees did it! They upset the 49ers!

Broncos @ Patriots 21-43
BLAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. That is all.

Raiders @ Seahawks 24-30
The Raiders almost got their first win… but almost doesn’t count in football…

Ravens @ Steelers 23-43
Big Ben is at it again. 2nd 6 touchdown game in a row….

Colts @ NY Giants 40-24
I just don’t know what to say anymore. My dad and I were on the phone for an hour watching the game together. The conversation consisted of mostly swear words aimed towards the Giants… thankfully I fell asleep at half time…

WEEK 10

Thursday November 6th

Browns (5-3) @ Bengals (5-2-1) [8:25pm CBS, NFLN]
I’m picking the Bengals. Love that little girl. Praying for her (Leah Still). Expecting miracles. GOD IS THE MIRACLE WORKER

Sunday November 9th

Cowboys (6-3) @ Jaguars (1-8) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Cowboys but rooting for the Jags… obviously.

49ers (4-4) @ Saints (4-4) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Saints at home.

Falcons (2-6) @ Buccaneers (1-7) [1pm FOX]
I’m going with the Bucs in this battle of who could care less.

Chiefs (5-3) @ Bills (5-3)  [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bills (every time I wear my Bills t-shirt they win)

Dolphins (5-3) @ Lions (6-2) [1pm CBS]
I’m going with the Lions. Megatron is supposed to return!

Titans (2-6) @ Ravens (5-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m taking the Ravens, I don’t think they’ll be embarrassed 2 weeks in a row.

Steelers (6-3) @ Jets (1-8) [1pm CBS]
Let’s see how genius Rex Ryan is this week… is it still considered a circus if no one shows up? I’m picking the Steelers to win but I will be rooting for the Jets this time. Shocking I know.

Broncos (6-2) @ Raiders (0-8) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m picking the Broncos… they really need to bounce back after last weeks terribleness.

Rams (3-5) @ Cardinals (7-1) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m going with the Cardinals… it amazes me that they have the best record in the NFL.

NY Giants (3-5) @ Seahawks (5-3) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m picking the Seahawks to win this game. I’m done being optimistic about my team…

Bears (3-5) @ Packers (5-3) [8:30pm NBC]
I’m picking the Packers for the win.

Monday November 10th

Panthers (3-5-1) @ Eagles (6-2) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’ll be rooting for the Panthers but picking the Eagles.

TEAMS WITH BYES: Patriots, Chargers, Texans, Colts, Redskins, Vikings
