Regular Season Week 8

The main reason I’m looking forward to week 8 is because my team won’t lose this week. So glad the NY Giants have a bye… at this point, I wish they could have a few. The big news this past week was Peyton Manning broke Brett Favre’s all time career touchdown record. In other news, L.A. really wants a football team again and there seem to be 3 teams with interest, Rams, Raiders, and Chargers. Just sayin, keep it on the radar.   I won by one point in my fantasy team… such a nail biter…I’m now 5-2.
I did all right on my picks this past week: 9-6.
Anyway…
Let’s recap week 7

Jets @ Patriots 25-27
The Jets really should’ve won this game. They out played the Pats in everything from yards to clock management. But don’t worry, Rex Ryan dealt with the loss well… by punching a wall. classy.

Falcons  @ Ravens 7-29
Atlanta just isn’t good… this really isn’t news.

Titans @ Redskins 17-19
The Redskins motto is “When you’re losing, bench your QB” and it works for them! Their 3rd string QB got it done in the second half….

Seahawks @ Rams 26-28
Wow. Just wow. Go Bumblebees!

Browns @ Jaguars 6-24
Jacksonville finally has their first win of the season. The Browns played down to the ability of their opponent…

Bengals @ Colts 0-27
SHUTOUT! First one in six years for the Colts.

Vikings @ Bills 16-17
Talk about a last second win (literally). YAY BILLS! But it was a costly game for the Bills as well. They lost Fred Jackson (who was on my fantasy team damnit!) and C.J. Spiller to injuries.

Dolphins @ Bears 27-14
Bears = epic collapse.

Saints @ Lions 23-24
The Lions are tenacious, didn’t give up, and won the game. Woot woot!

Panthers @ Packers 17-38
It’s games like this that make me dislike where I live because on Sunday’s when the Panther’s are playing it’s the only game on TV… unless you have the Sunday Ticket, which I do not have… this game was horrible. With a score like that it should’ve been a Thursday Night Blowout Football game.

Chiefs @ Chargers 23-20
Holy moly the Chargers finally lose a game… it’s about time. In other news Alex Smith is dreamy.

Cardinals @ Raiders 24-13
The Raiders still haven’t won a game yet this season… so glad I’m not a Raiders fan…

NY Giants @ Cowboys 21-31
What pisses me off the most about this game was we actually had a chance to win. We were playing decent football again… expletive, expletive, expletive, EXPLETIVE!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! ….

49ers @ Broncos 17-42
Peyton is amazing. The end. Wait, no there’s more, Peyton Manning broke Brett Favre’s record for most touchdown passes in the NFL (508) and then added 2 more for good measure.  So, now every time you see Peyton Manning throw a touchdown pass you are watching history in the making. EXCITEMENT!

Texans @ Steelers 23-30
I’m going to say the Steelers got lucky. Bah.

WEEK 8

Thursday October 23rd

Chargers (5-2) @ Broncos (5-1) [8:25pm CBS, NFLN]
I predict that Peyton Manning makes history again by breaking his own TD record. I am also picking the Broncos for the win.

Sunday October 26th

Lions (5-2) @ Falcons (2-5) [9:30am FOX]
Yes, you read that right; this game starts at 9:30AM! This will be the 2nd game played in London this season. So this Sunday you can literally watch football ALLLLLLL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m not excited or anything… wait, I am. Oh yes, and I pick the Lions to win.

Vikings (2-5) @ Buccaneers (1-5) [1pm FOX]
The Bucs haven’t won at home yet this season… I think this will be their first home win. Call me crazy.

Bills (4-3) @ Jets (1-6) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Bills, although that pretty much assures a Jet’s win.

Bears (3-4) @ Patriots (5-2)  [1pm FOX]
Rooting for the Bears, picking the Pats.

Seahawks (3-3) @ Panthers (3-3-1) [1pm CBS]
Sorry Panthers fans… I’m going with the Seahawks.

Dolphins (3-3) @ Jaguars (1-6) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Dolphins

Ravens (5-2) @ Bengals (3-2-1) [1pm CBS]
I’m going to have to go with the Ravens.

Texans (3-3) @ Titans (2-5) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Texans, and good news people, my dad said I could marry J.J. Watt as long as I’m still a NY Giants fan!!! I hear wedding bells.

Rams (2-4) @ Chiefs (3-3) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Chiefs for the win.

Eagles (5-1) @ Cardinals (5-1) [4:05pm FOX]
Dear Cardinals, please for the love of all good things, beat Philly…  I’m picking the Cardinals for the win, more so, for wishful thinking.

Colts (5-2) @ Steelers (3-3) [4:25pm CBS]
Picking the Colts for the win!

Raiders (0-6) @ Browns (3-3) [4:25pm CBS]
This is going to be a tough game for the Browns. They can win it but it’ll be tough. Dear Browns, don’t play down to your opponent. Sincerely, last week’s game

Packers (5-2) @ Saints (2-4) [8:30pm NBC]
Going with the Pack.

Monday October 27th

Redskins (2-5) @ Cowboys (6-1) [8:30pm ESPN]
This will be one of the only times that I’ll be rooting for the Redskins. Even though I’m picking the Cowboys for the win.

If you are a NY Giants fan or a 49ers fan don’t worry, your team will not lose this week (Thank the Lord)! They have a BYE.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Mom!!!!!
