Regular Season Week 7

This past weekend I was in Nashville Tennessee visiting my very good friend Meg with my very good friend Ash. I didn’t think I’d be watching any football because my friends are not football fans. Meg’s roommate Mike, however, is a very big Packers fan and plays fantasy football so we talked a lot of football. Saturday night we were offered Titans tickets and I put on my best pouty face and guess who was at the game on Sunday?!?! This girl and her two AMAZING friends!!!!! I’d like to think we were the good luck charm that Tennessee needed to bring them their first home win of the season (they hadn’t had one in 9 home games!)
After the Titans game we did some touristy things and then caught the tale end of the Seattle game (which ended horribly in my opinion) and don’t even ask me about the Giants game… Speaking of which, I had Victor Cruz on my fantasy team, so it didn’t do so well this past week. I’m now 4-2.
I did pretty well on my picks again this past week: 13-2.
Anyway…
Let’s recap week 6

 Colts @ Texans 33-28
Those divisional games can be quite exciting and this one did not disappoint. Man oh man is J.J. Watt a beast or what.

Patriots @ Bills 37-22
And that is why I don’t pick against the Pats...

Steelers @ Browns 10-31
Hell of a game Brownies! Woot woot!

Panthers @ Bengals 37-37 OT
Well I wasn’t right in my pick and I wasn’t wrong. Leave it to these two teams to have it end in a tie.

Packers @ Dolphins 27-24
Aaron Rodgers had a little trickery up his sleeve and it got his team the win.

Lions @ Vikings 17-3
So glad I dropped the Steelers defense and picked up the Lion’s defense for fantasy football! They picked off the Vikings QB 3 times! This doesn’t say much for Bridgewater, the Vikings QB…

Jaguars @ Titans 14-16
Did you know that when the Titans win they shoot off fireworks at the end of the game? Yeah, neither did I, and it scared the crap out of me… I jumped, screamed, and clutched my chest. (having heard a gun shot the night prior; you could say I was still a little bit jumpy) But hey, I was thankful to have great friends that humored me enough to take me to the game! I think we were the Titans’ good luck charm because as we were finding our way to our seats the Titans picked off Bortles and after a blocked field goal the Titans won their first home game of the season.

Broncos @ Jets 31-17
Peyton is 3 touchdowns closer to tying Favre’s record for most thrown TD’s in an NFL career.  After this game, 2 more TD’s and he ties it. As for the Jets, well they weren’t as terrible.

Ravens @ Buccaneers 48-17
This game got out of hand quickly… poor Bucs.

Chargers @ Raiders 31-28
It’s good to see the Raiders putting up a fight. So close boys.

Bears @ Falcons 27-13
Chicago fans were happy after this win… Falcons fans are probably used to losing at this point so they just shrug. (I don’t actually know any Falcons fans but if I ever meet one I will hug them, pat their back, and say “There, there” all sympathetic like.)

Cowboys @ Seahawks 30-23
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.  That’s really all I have to say about this game.

Redskins @ Cardinals 20-30
I’m just glad the Redskins are more horrible than my team in the NFC East….

NY Giants @ Eagles 0-27
So that sucked! In so many ways. Really. After Cruz was carted off the field while openly sobbing; I walked out of the room and told my friends I wasn’t coming back in until the game was off. We decided to watch Silver Linings Playbook instead because at least the Giants beat the Eagles in that movie…

49ers @ Rams 31-17
Well the first half was good…

WEEK 7

Thursday October 16th

Jets (1-5) @ Patriots (4-2) [8:25pm CBS, NFLN]
I’m picking the Pats for a blow-out win… that’s what happens on Thursday Night Football.

Sunday October 19th

Falcons (2-4) @ Ravens (4-2) [1pm FOX]
An angry birds game! I’m going with the Ravens for the win.

Titans (2-4) @ Redskins (1-5) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Redskins but will be rooting for the Titans again!

Seahawks (3-2) @ Rams (1-4)  [1pm FOX]
The Seahawks need to bounce back. I’m picking them for the win.

Browns (3-2) @ Jaguars (0-6) [1pm CBS]
The Browns are on a roll and the Jags are good at rolling over. I’m thinking Cleveland has this win.

Bengals (3-1-1) @ Colts (4-2) [1pm CBS]
 I’m picking the Colts!

Vikings (2-4) @ Bills (3-3) [1pm FOX]
The Bills also need to bounce back so I’m going to pick them to win. I’d also like to say that Kyle Orton needs to shave his face… the caterpillar needs to GO!

Dolphins (2-3) @ Bears (3-3) [1pm CBS]
Da Bears are going to win this one …

Saints (2-3) @ Lions (4-2) [1pm FOX]
Going with the Lions for the win.

Panthers (3-2-1) @ Packers (4-2) [1pm FOX]
Sorry Panthers fans… I’m taking the Packers

Chiefs (2-3) @ Chargers (5-1) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m picking the Chargers but I have a feeling that the Chiefs could derail this team.

Cardinals (4-1) @ Raiders (0-5) [4:25pm FOX]
As much as I’d like to pick the Raiders I don’t see them winning this game. I’m picking the Cardinals.

NY Giants (3-3) @ Cowboys (5-1) [4:25pm FOX]
Giants

49ers (4-2) @ Broncos (4-1) [8:30pm NBC]
Will Peyton pass Favre this week in TD passes? Possibly. Either way I’m picking the Broncos for the win.

Monday October 20th

Texans (3-3) @ Steelers (3-3) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Texans mainly because I really don’t like the Steelers.

If you are an Eagles fan or a Bucs fan don’t worry, your team will not lose this week! They have a BYE.

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Mom!!!!!
