Regular Season Week 13

This report takes a lot longer to write when there are no byes. Holy football games batman! It doesn’t help that I’ve literally waited till the last minute to write this report. I’m back on the east coast again. I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving. I didn’t do as well as hoped on my picks this week, 12-4.
Lets recap week 12.

Texans @ Lions 34-31 OT
It’s a tradition that the Lions play on Thanksgiving and it also seems to be a tradition that the Lions lose on thanksgiving and that was the case again this time around. At least it was a good game except for that one blown call… you know when they took that touchdown away from the Lions.  I’m not even going to go into Su’s idiotic kicking…

Redskins @ Cowboys 38-31
This was a great game to watch, even better to be able to watch it with my dad. To watch the Cowboys lose with my dad, priceless.

Patriots @ NY Jets 49-19
My family didn’t watch this game because we didn’t want the Patriots to ruin our Thanksgiving. … We played Apples to Apples instead and had a way better time than the Jets… and the Patriots

Titans @ Jaguars 19-24
I just knew that the Jags would win this game! Sorry Abby.

Bills @ Colts 13-24
Poor Bills fans.

Steelers @ Browns 14-20
So glad I was able to watch this game with Browns fans. Fantastic game, well for the Browns anyway, I stopped counting the Steelers turnovers.

Raiders @ Bengals 10-34
I really have nothing clever to say about either of these two teams.

Broncos @ Chiefs 17-9
Peyton was Peyton and the Chiefs were, well the Chiefs so this outcome was inevitable.

Seahawks @ Dolphins 21-24
This game was like that Buffalo Wild Wings commercial; the sprinklers came on in the middle of the game. Wonder if that grounds crew worker still has their job? The Dolphins took the win with a last second field goal, ok it was 2 seconds.

Falcons @ Buccaneers 24-23
The Bucs almost pulled off the win. Too bad almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

Vikings @ Bears 10-28
The Bears really are better with Jay Cutler leading the team. No that wasn’t met as a punch line.

Ravens @ Chargers 16-13 OT
Close win for the Ravens, too close for comfort if you ask me.

Rams @ Cardinals 31-17
“I’m picking the Cardinals against better judgment.” I think I was delusional last week when I wrote that statement.

49ers @ Saints 31-21
The 49ers were all over the Saints Sunday. And the new QB for San Francisco was pretty impressive to watch. Smith you better start looking for another team who needs a QB because I think that Kaepernick just took your job.

Packers @ NY Giants 10-38
I was so, so, so nervous going into this game. The Giants are notorious for losing all their November games and then I remembered last year when we had a super close heart breaking loss to the Packers. The odds were definitely stacked against Big Blue coming into this game, but the team was also a part of a “Make A Wish” dream come true. Adam Merchant, 15 year old boy with cancer, had a dream to meet the NY Football Giants. He ordered the team to “play like world champions” and they did. The Giants were supposed to raise Adam’s spirit and in return he raised the Giants’ spirit to the level they new they should be. This was such a touching story and if you haven’t watched it look it up.
Manning threw for 3 TD’s, no interceptions, and even ran the ball taking a few hits. He looked phenomenal. When Victor Cruz caught a touchdown pass they even played salsa music over the broadcast. The defense was stellar, sacking Rodgers 5 times and intercepting him once. If only they could have knocked off the hideous growth on his face. Seriously Aaron, all that talk a couple weeks ago about getting a discount double check from you, I take it back. That growth on your face needs to go, its revolting and nauseating. I’d rather look at Bill Belichick than you… and that’s saying something, but I digress.
GMEN it was a GREAT win. Keep up the good work.

Panthers @ Eagles 30-22
The Eagles did a really good job of making the Panthers look great. I said that statement to one of my co-workers after the game and she said “wow! The Eagles must really be terrible!” She doesn’t know much about football but she does know how horrible the Panthers are because her husband is a Panthers fan.
At one point in the broadcast commentator Jon Gruden said “That’s what happens when your not a good team” speaking of the Eagles. Ouch. It was an ugly game to watch and the Panthers actually hung on to win the game. Yay.

WEEK 13

Thursday November 29th

Saints [5-6]  @ Falcons [10-1] (8:20pm NFLN)
Taking the Falcons, but wouldn’t be surprised if I was wrong.

Sunday December 2nd

Jaguars [2-9] @ Bills [4-7] (1pm CBS)
Took the Bills in the preseason and I’m taking them again now.

Seahawks [6-5] @ Bears [8-3] (1pm FOX)
Going with DA BEARS

Colts [7-4] @ Lions  [4-7] (1pm CBS)
I’ll take the Lions this week.

Vikings [6-5]  @ Packers [7-4]   (1pm FOX)
I’m taking the Packers and hoping that Rodgers has SHAVED HIS FACE!

Texans [10-1] @ Titans [4-7]   (1pm CBS)
I’m going with the Texans

Panthers [3-8] @ Chiefs [1-10]   (1pm FOX)
Taking the Panthers though another Panthers loss wouldn’t surprise me. This game is pretty much the battle of who could care less.

49ers [8-2-1] @ Rams [4-6-1]   (1pm FOX)
I’ll have to take the 49ers

Patriots [8-3] @ Dolphins [5-6]   (1pm CBS)
I’d love to see the Dolphins win but it’s not likely, I’m going with the Pats.

Cardinals [4-7] @ NY Jets [4-7] (1pm FOX)
I’m taking the Jets at home.

Buccaneers [6-5] @ Broncos [8-3] (4:05pm FOX)
Taking the Broncos

Browns [3-8] @ Raiders [3-8] (4:25pm CBS)
I like the Browns in this game.

Bengals [6-5] @ Chargers [4-7] (4:25pm CBS)
Taking the Bengals

Steelers [6-5] @ Ravens [9-2] (4:25pm CBS)
Big Ben should be back for this game but I’m going to have to go with the Ravens.

Eagles [3-8]  @ Cowboys [5-6]   (8:20pm NBC)
I’d like this game to end in a tie. For divisional reasons and to help the Giants win I’d like the Eagles to win but I think that I’ll pick the Cowboys for the win.

Monday December 3rd

NY Giants [7-4] @ Redskins [5-6]    (8:30pm ESPN)
They swept us last year lets sweep them this year and win! I’m picking the Giants to win. GO GMEN!!!!!!

Thanks for the edit Mom

GOOOOOOOOOOOOO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
