Regular Season Week 9

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

In non football news, the World Series ended last night with a Dodgers win, baseball is over for 2024. Saturday is daylight savings and we set our clocks back one hour. Tuesday is election day. Don’t set the country back 50 years. Make a plan to vote and go and do the thing.  Breathe.

This football season has been trying. It’s hard to write this report. The Giants are straight up killing me, as are my fantasy teams. I went 12-4 on my picks last week and I actually won a game in fantasy!  “CMC Ya Next Season” (3-5),  “Won’t You Be My Nabers” (2-6).

Let’s jump into the recap!

Vikings @ Rams 20-30

Welcome back Cooper Kupp and Puka Nakua! Holy moly. The Rams are a good team again! The Vikings looked shocked. Maybe they just looked past this game thinking it would be an easy win? Or maybe they aren’t as good as their record says they are. Regardless, I was happy to see the Rams win but not happy that I got the pick wrong.

Jets @ Patriots 22-25

I got this pick wrong as well and I am not mad about it. The Jets are imploding and it's wonderful to watch. Also the Patriots got the win with their backup QB Jacoby Brissett, even better.

Eagles @ Bengals 37-17

I think Jaylen Hurts is a football hogger. He could have handed the ball off at least once for Saquon to get into the endzone but NOOOOoooooOOOOoooooo he had to have 3 rushing touchdowns in this game. Not cool.

Packers @ Jaguars 30-27

Jordan Love left the game with an injury and the Packs still beat the Jags.

Titans @ Lions 14-52

It was National Tight End’s Day so of course Sam LaPorta finally had a good day... on my bench. Damnit. Oh well. TE Day is once a year so I am not counting on another big scoring game for LaPorta. The Lions were merciless in this lopsided win. Jared Goff has so many options that he threw 3 different touchdown passes to 3 different receivers. It’s good to see the Lions on the winning side of games this season. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Lions in the Super Bowl.

Falcons @ Buccaneers 31-26

Baker Mayfield arrived to the game in a Chris Godwin jersey. It was sweet to show support for his teammate who is out for the season and is a free agent next year. Being National Tight End’s Day it was Cade Otten who had a pair of TD receptions from Mayfield. The Bucs could have won the game but Baker threw two costly interceptions and Kirk Cousins and the Falcons capitalized on mistakes. Kyle Pitts, Atlanta TE, also had two touchdowns on the day.

Cardinals @ Dolphins 28-27

Thank god Tua is back because Devon Achane is relevant again. Also, Marvin Harrison Jr. actually made an appearance. Finally. It’s about time.

Ravens @ Browns 24-29

Yeah. I got this pick wrong, but so did everyone else. I said last week, “There is no chance for the Browns.” What I should have said is, “so you’re telling me there’s a chance.”

Colts @ Texans 20-23

The big news for both these teams came after the game concluded. Colts fans were worried for their quarterback after he sat out a play in the third quarter. Was he injured? No, just tired. Well, now he’s been benched for an old guy (Joe Flacco) who doesn’t get tired. The Texans, even though they won the game, lost Stefon Diggs for the season to a non contact injury.

Saints @ Chargers 8-26

If you had never heard the name Ladd McConkey, that may have changed since this game. McConkey had two touchdown catches, including a 60-yard score in the third quarter, and became the first Chargers rookie receiver in 11 years to have a 100-yard receiving game. On the other side of the ball the Saints continue their downward spiral. Saints QB Derek Carr’s backup, Spencer Rattler, was benched for Jake Haener in the third quarter. Not pretty.

Bills @ Seahawks 31-10

Other than not looking toward Amari Cooper, and Josh Allen throwing his first interception of the season, the Bills played a pretty lovely game. Yay Bills!

Bears @ Commanders 15-18

I’m actually pretty sick and tired of hearing about this game. The Bears were already celebrating on the sideline when Jayden Daniels threw a hail mary, his only touchdown of the game, ending the Bears' fun.

Panthers @ Broncos 14-28

Rookie QB Bo Nix is looking pretty legit. Nix had 3 passing touchdowns in this romp over the Panthers.

Chiefs @ Raiders 27-20

The Chiefs struggled a little bit in this game but they got the win and they are still the only team to not have lost yet this season. Their defense stepped up when Patrick Mahomes threw a costly interception. But, fun fact, Mahomes passed for 262 yards and two touchdowns, becoming the fastest quarterback in NFL history to reach 30,000 yards. He accomplished that in his 103rd game. Also, he’s still sitting on my bench in fantasy, and on my bench he’ll stay.

Cowboys @ 49ers 24-30

George Kittle, running his mouth on the sideline years ago, came up with National Tight End’s Day. It started off as a joke and now it’s a thing. Kittle himself celebrated the day with two touchdowns. His success was my demise in fantasy.  I was hoping he wore the same shirt as he did the last time they played the Cowboys. If you know, you know.

NY Giants @ Steelers 18-26

What to say about this game. Oh! I know! BENCH DANNY JONES! As long as he’s the starting QB of the Giants they will lose.  The thing Giants fans feel almost every game is, “ok, so you’re telling me there’s a chance.” This, my friends, is called false hope. For instance, T.J. Watt strip-sacked Daniel Jones with less than three minutes to go to end a New York drive, but then our defense stepped up and got the ball back! (I will not speak ill of our defense)  The defense should have just scored or the kick returner should have run all the way back for a touchdown. But no, they put the ball back into DJ’s hands and rookie cornerback Beanie Bishop picked Jones off with 42 seconds to play to end the game and the hope of a win. I like coach Daboll, but I wish he’d have the balls to bench DJ and start anyone else. After the game Daboll said of Jones, “DJ feels terrible.” Same coach, same.  Once again Jones didn’t have any touchdowns but a costly interception. SMH. Also, the Yankees lost so that didn’t help either.

WEEK 9

HALLOWEEN!!! Thursday, October 31st

Texans (6-2) @ Jets (2-6) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

I’m picking the Texans to win this game. Though I’m not sure if I’ll stay up for the entirety of this game. As much as I’d like to watch the Jets continue to implode, I’ve stayed up late every night this week watching sports and this girl is tired.

Sunday, November 3rd

Dolphins (2-5) @ Bills (6-2) (1pm CBS)

With my other NY teams sucking I am really going to need a win from my side piece. I will be rooting for, and picking, the Bills to win this divisional matchup. I just hope it’s high scoring because I’d like to win in fantasy, though I don’t hold out much hope for that anymore.

Broncos (5-3) @ Ravens (5-3) (1pm CBS)

The Ravens got embarrassed by the Browns last week. I think they’ll play better this week. They did just acquire Diontae Johnson from the Panthers. Johnson is good, but the Ravens already have too many mouths to feed in the receiver game. I’m not sure how much this acquisition is going to help them. I’m picking the Ravens to win this game, but I hope it’s very low scoring, as I have the Broncos defense and I need all the points.

Chargers (4-3) @ Browns (2-6) (1pm CBS)

The Browns look like a completely different team (for the better) with Jameis Winston under center.  I’m still going to pick the Chargers to win this game, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I was wrong.

Saints (2-6) @ Panthers (1-7) (1pm CBS)

This is a division rival game but both teams are really struggling. I mean, their combined winning record is just 3 games and we are in week 9. Derek Carr is supposed to start this game after missing the last three to an oblique injury. With Carr starting I am picking the Saints to win this game.

Raiders (2-6) @ Bengals (3-5) (1pm FOX)

I’m picking the Bengals to win this game. The Raiders just aren’t good this year.

Commanders (6-2) @ NY Giants (2-6) (1pm FOX)

Normally I would pick the Giants to win this game. The Commanders are usually the only team the Giants beat. But not this year. As long as Jones is the starting QB we will lose. I’m picking the Giants to lose this game, it’ll be another heartbreaker.

Cowboys (3-4) @ Falcons (5-3) (1pm FOX)

Kirk Cousins used to face the Cowboys twice a season when he played for Washington. Well now he’ll face them with a new team, arguably better than when he was a Redskin. I’m picking the Falcons to win this game.

Patriots (2-6) @ Titans (1-6) (1pm FOX)

Another matchup with three combined wins. I’m sure this game will be riveting. I’m picking the Titans to win this game, but only because they are the home team.

Bears (4-3) @  Cardinals (4-4) (4:05pm CBS)

I guess it depends on which quarterback shows up for both teams. Both Caleb Williams and Kyler Murray have had amazing games and awful games. I guess I’ll pick the Cards to win because they are the home team and have won at home this season, while the Bears have yet to win an away game.

Jaguars (2-6)  @ Eagles (4-4) (4:05pm CBS)

I’ll be rooting for the Jags but picking the Eagles to win this game.

Lions (6-1) @ Packers (6-2) (4:25pm FOX)

Another division rival! This one should be good if both starting quarterbacks can play. Jordan Love suffered a groin injury last week and had to leave the game while Jared Goff didn’t practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury. I think both QBs will play and I am picking the Lions to win this game. You can tape an ankle, you can’t really tape a groin.

Rams (3-4) @ Seahawks (4-4) (4:25pm FOX)

With the return of Kupp and Nakua the Rams are dangerous. The Seahawks seem to be hot and cold at best. I am picking the Rams to win this game.

Colts (4-4) @ Vikings (5-2) (8:20pm NBC/Peacock)

Joe Flacco will get the start for the Colts. The Vikings have lost two in a row. I don’t think they’ll lose three. I’m picking the Vikings to win this game.

Monday, November 4th

Buccaneers (4-4) @ Chiefs (7-0) (8:15pm ABC/ESPN)

I want/need this to be another high scoring game. Both my teams in fantasy will come down to this game. I’m picking the Chiefs to win and continue their undefeated streak.

BYES: Steelers, 49ers

The Shenoa Report

Regular Season Week 8

My partner is a very wise human. He says, no matter how big or small, you’ve got to take and celebrate your wins. I’ve been so damn discouraged in my fantasy teams and my NY Giants. I haven’t had a win in fantasy in either league since week 2 and we’re going into week 8! But this past week I went 13-2 in picks! I’m celebrating that win.

I’m also celebrating the NY Yankees making it to the World Series, the NY Rangers doing well this season, as well as the NBA season getting started.

As we head into week 8 the Chiefs are the only undefeated team. My fantasy teams, not so much. “CMC Ya Next Season” (2-5), “Won’t You Be My Nabers” (2-5).

Let’s jump into the recap!

Broncos @ Saints 33-10

Sean Payton, current head coach of the Broncos and former head coach of the Saints, has now beaten every team in the NFL. That’s pretty cool. Broncos linebacker Cody Barton had an incredible game, recording eight tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and a fumble recovery that he returned 52 yards for a touchdown. Hooray for my defense.

Patriots @ Jaguars 16-32

There is rumor that the Patriots head coach may lose his job soon, as in mid-season. Ouch. The Jags are now 6-5 in London with this win.

Titans @ Bills 10-34

I’m so glad I held onto Amari Cooper in fantasy, he had an amazing game on my bench. Whoops. But would you have started Cooper over Deebo Samuel? No you would not. Josh Allen, the Bills' quarterback, celebrated his 100th career start with a stellar performance, throwing for 323 yards and two touchdowns. Thanks for the win, sidepiece.

Texans @ Packers 22-24

The Packers pulled off a dramatic victory with a game-winning 45-yard field goal by Brandon McManus as time expired. This was McManus' first game with the Packers after signing earlier in the week, and he nailed the kick after Houston called a timeout to ice him

Eagles @ NY Giants 28-3

I watched this game long enough to hear Saquon get BOOOOOOED. It was the highlight of the game for me. After he scored a touchdown I promptly turned the game off and went outside and mowed the lawn.

Lions @ Vikings 31-29

The Lions beat their division rival AND gave them their first loss of the season. Way to go Lions!

Seahawks @ Falcons 34-14

The best moment in this game was Derick Hall's 64-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Hall scooped up a fumble caused by Boye Mafe and ran it back for a score, sealing the Seahawks' dominant victory. It was Hall's first career touchdown and a huge play that really put the game out of reach for the Falcons.

Bengals @ Browns 21-14

The Bengals started the game off with a Charlie Jones kickoff return for a touchdown.

This was the first time the Bengals have opened a game with a kickoff return touchdown since 2019. On the other side of the field the Browns lost their starting quarterback, Deshawn Watson, to a season ending injury. No one was broken up over this.

Dolphins @ Colts 10-16

As you may have noticed I’ve been trying to find a fun fact for each game recap. I’ve got nothing for this game.

Panthers @ Commanders 7-40

Here’s a fun fact. The Commanders used a play call named after Taylor Swift to score a touchdown. TE, Ben Sinnott, caught a three-yard pass from Marcus Mariota in the third quarter, and the play was called "Taylor Swift." It was a simple route where Sinnott faked a block and then turned the corner for an easy score. But honestly, every score is an easy score playing the Panthers.

Raiders @ Rams 15-20

The Rams defense hasn’t been good since Aaron Donald retired, but this game was different. Their defense forced four turnovers and held off the Raiders especially after QB Aidan O’Connell got injured and the Raiders had to put in their third string qb.

Chiefs @ 49ers 28-18

The 49ers still haven’t gotten their revenge on the Chiefs. Also, this was the first game that KC actually looked legit. Chiefs' running back Kareem Hunt scored two rushing touchdowns, marking his sixth-career regular season game with multiple rushing touchdowns and his fourth such game with Kansas City. Glad I picked him up in fantasy. Maybe, one day, he’ll actually put up enough points to get me the win too.

Jets @ Steelers 15-37

Russell Wilson made an impressive debut with his new team, throwing for 264 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for another touchdown. Davante Adams, who was just traded to the Jets earlier in the week, lost to the Steelers two weeks in a row.

Ravens @ Buccaneers 41-31

This was a frustrating game and one of the two picks I got incorrect. The Bucs lost both Mike Evans, for a few weeks, and Chris Godwin, for the season, in this game and loss. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson threw for an impressive five touchdowns, marking his third career game with 50-plus rushing yards and five passing touchdowns. Lame.

Chargers @ Cardinals 15-17

The game came down to a nail-biting finish with the Cardinals winning thanks to a 32-yard field goal by Chad Ryland as time expired. Marvin Harrison Jr was lackluster again thanks to Kylar Murry. The Chargers' offense, led by Justin Herbert, who threw for 349 yards, couldn't convert their yardage into touchdowns and had to settle for five field goals by Cameron Dicker. It’s ok, the game was on ESPN+ so who knows how many people actually watched.

WEEK 8

Thursday, October 24th

Vikings (5-1) @ Rams (2-4) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

I’m picking the Vikings to win this game.

Sunday, October 27th

Jets (2-5) @ Patriots (1-6) (1pm CBS)

This game will probably end in a tie and if the Jets win the Patriots will probably fire their head coach. I’m picking the Jets to win this game.

Eagles (4-2) @ Bengals (3-4) (1pm CBS)

I’ll be rooting for the Bengals but picking the Eagles to win this game.

Packers (5-2) @ Jaguars (2-5) (1pm FOX)

I’m picking the Packers to win this game.

Titans (1-5) @ Lions (5-1) (1pm FOX)

I’m picking the Lions to win this game.

Falcons (4-3) @ Buccaneers (4-3) (1pm FOX)

I’m not sure who Baker is going to throw to now that Godwin is out for the season and Evans is out for the foreseeable future. I’ll be rooting for the Bucs but picking the Falcons to win.

Cardinals (3-4) @ Dolphins (2-4) (1pm FOX)

Tua is supposed to be back for the Dolphins so I am picking Miami to win.

Ravens (5-2) @ Browns (1-6) (1pm CBS)

Yeah. I’m picking the Ravens to win this game. There is no chance for the Browns.

Colts (4-3) @ Texans (5-2) (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Texans to win and hoping C.J. Stroud has a much better game.

Saints (2-5) @ Chargers (3-3) (4:05pm FOX)

I’m picking the Chargers to win but wouldn’t be surprised if the Saints pulled off the upset.

Bills (5-2) @ Seahawks (4-3) (4:05pm FOX)

I’m rooting for and picking the Bills to win this game.

Bears (4-2) @ Commanders (5-2) (4:25pm CBS)

I’ll be rooting for the Bears but picking the Commanders to win.

Panthers (1-6) @ Broncos (4-3) (4:25pm CBS)

I’m picking the Broncos to win this game.

Chiefs (6-0) @ Raiders (2-5) (4:25pm CBS)

I wouldn’t be surprised if Maxx Crosby was the next guy to seek a trade from the Raiders. I’m picking the Chiefs to win. Also, someone dropped D-Hop in my fantasy league so I scooped him up and, in real life, he’s now a Chief!

Cowboys (3-3) @ 49ers (3-4) (8:20pm NBC/Peacock)

The Cowboys are fresh off their bye. It doesn’t matter. I am still picking the 49ers to win!

Monday, October 28th

NY Giants (2-5) @ Steelers (5-2) (8:15pm ABC/ESPN.ESPN+)

Just be gentle, Pittsburgh. I'm picking the Steelers to win. I’ll be watching the World Series. It’s too painful to watch the Giants until there is a quarterback change.

GO G-MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Shenoa Report

October 17, 2024

Regular Season Week 7

As we head into week 7 the Vikings and Chiefs are still undefeated. It helps that they both had their bye week last week.  I lost in both of my fantasy leagues again. I’ve lost 4 in a row in each league. “CMC Ya Next Season” (2-4),  “Won’t You Be My Nabers” (2-4). It’s getting old and the Giants suck. I am really frustrated with football right now. I might switch over to College Football, I’m not attached to that by any means. I watched both the Oregon / OSU game and the Syracuse / NC State game last Saturday. They were very entertaining and both teams I decided to root for won! Also, I went 10-4 in my picks, which is way better than the past few weeks. Now I just need my fantasy teams to do better. There is no doing better for the Giants until they get a new quarterback. I will not be picking them to win again this season. It’s too painful when they lose.

Let’s jump into the recap!

49ers @ Seahawks 36-24

Because I only got 4 picks wrong this week I am going to call them out. I got this pick wrong but I am happy with that outcome. I wanted the 49ers to win! I’ve got really good players on my fantasy teams and if I combined my teams together I’d be unstoppable. Unfortunately, you can’t do that. I started Brock Purdy in one league and Deebo Samuel and Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the other league. Purdy had a fantastic game with three passing touchdowns, one of which went to Deebo, and 255 passing yards. I was feeling pretty good about winning in both leagues. The only player who really under performed for me was JSN, but it was early in the fantasy weekend and I wasn’t worried.

Jaguars @ Bears 16-35

Caleb Williams had his best NFL game to date. Maybe he should stay in London. He threw FOUR touchdown passes in this rout over the Jags. Unfortunately for my fantasy team, none of those passes went to D.J. Moore. Rather, it was Keenan Allen and Cole Kmet each of whom had two receiving touchdowns. Evan Engram, on my bench, had his comeback game. But even if I had started Engram I still would have lost in fantasy. Oh well.

Texans @ Patriots 41-21

I’m the dumbass who dropped Tank Dell. Dell had the first touchdown of the day for the Texans.  I did start C.J. Stroud in one league. Stroud had three passing touchdowns in this win over a very sad but improving Patriots team. Drake Maye made his first NFL start and also had three passing touchdowns on the day, contrasted by two interceptions. Has New Englad finally found their next Tom Brady?

Commanders @ Ravens 23-30

Jayden Daniels is still the top player for the Commanders. He’s basically carrying this team. He was again the top passer and rusher for his team. Derrick Henry was the top rusher for the Ravens, racking up 24 carries for 132 rushing yards and two touchdowns. It was nice to see the Commanders lose but, at this point, I’d rather see the Commanders win the NFC East than any other team. Remember, the Giants aren’t in the running for this.

Browns  @ Eagles 16-20

As bad as the Browns look, the Eagles look just as bad. I got the pick right but I was hoping the Browns could have pulled off the upset. If the Eagles are going to win then they need to give the ball to Saquon much much more. Barkley only had 47 yards rushing in this game and only 7.4 points in my fantasy league. I guess you could say Barkley is still disappointing this Giants fan.

Cardinals @ Packers 13-34

You know who else is disappointing me? Marvin Harrison Jr. Thankfully I didn’t start him this week. Ok, I know he got injured in this game and that’s not cool, but he is not as good as I expected him to be when I drafted him. You know who I should have drafted? Jordan Love. Love had 258 passing yards and four touchdowns! Two of those touchdowns went to Romeo Doubs, who had just come back from a one game suspension for “conduct detrimental to the team”. The Packers are doing well without Aaron Rodgers, that’s for sure.

Buccaneers @ Saints 51-27

Holy Hannah Bananas this was a high scoring game! Even though I started Baker Mayfield in one of my leagues my opponent also started him in the other league, resulting in a loss. Ugh. I give up. Mayfield had 4 touchdowns and three interceptions. Two of the touchdowns went to Chris Godwin.  Even though I had Mayfield and Godwin on the same team I still lost! So frustrating!

Colts  @ Titans 20-17

I got this pick wrong. Last week I said, “The Colts were embarrassed last week losing to the winless Jags and the Titans are fresh off their bye. The Colts are also super banged up so I am going to go ahead and pick the Titans to win this game. It would not surprise me if I got this pick incorrect.” I am not surprised. As long as Will Levis is the starting quarterback of the Titans, this seems to be the forecast for the orginization. It’s kinda like Danny Jones and the Giants.

Chargers @ Broncos 23-16

I got this pick wrong and it was also the wrong week to start the Broncos defense. I think things would definitely have been different if Patrick Surtain, basically the Broncos entire defense, hadn’t gotten hurt on the first play of the game.  I really didn’t see this loss coming.

Steelers  @ Raiders 32-13

This was indeed the bounce back game the Steelers needed. Even without Justin Fields throwing a touchdown pass, Najee Harris ran all over the Raiders. He racked up over 100 yards rushing and had a touchdown to boot. The Raiders are in a downward spiral and will be without Davante Adams as he was traded to the Jets mid week.

Lions @ Cowboys 47-9

Happy Birthday Jerry Jones! I hope you liked the gift the Lions gave you! The Lions trounced the Cowboys at home, on Jerry Jones’ birthday. It was amazing to watch. I also learned that I should have started Sam LaPorta over Jake Ferguson. Oh well. The swap from bench to starter wouldn’t have gotten me the win in fantasy anyway.

Falcons @ Panthers 38-20

Kirk Cousins only had one touchdown pass this game. Lame. But the Falcons still won mostly because of Bijan Robinson, who ran all over the Panthers defense scoring two touchdowns. Not surprised I got this pick correct.

Bengals @ NY Giants 17-7

BENCH DANIEL JONES IMMEDIATELY! Also our defense, who is usually great, let Joe Burrow score a rushing touchdown. I got this pick wrong.  I’m done.  Frustration doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel.

Bills @ Jets 23-20

Thank God for my sidepiece team. Bills, it wasn’t pretty, but you beat Aaron Rodgers and that’s all I cared about. Thank you.

WEEK 7

Thursday, October 17th

Broncos (3-3) @ Saints (2-4) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

I’m not even sure who to pick. The Broncos will be completely different without Pat Surtain. The Saints are even more beat up though. I am picking the Broncos to win this game.

Sunday, October 20th

Patriots (1-5) @ Jaguars (1-5) (9:30am NFLN)

Note the time. This will be the third game in London this season, only this time it’ll be played at Wembley Stadium. I’m going to pick the Jags to win this game, but only because they’ve had a week and a half to acclimate.

Titans (1-4) @ Bills (4-2) (1pm CBS)

I’m so glad I held onto Amari Cooper in fantasy and I am soo soooo soooo glad he was traded to the Bills. Now maybe he’ll be a relevant player. I’m picking the Bills to win this game.

Texans (5-1) @ Packers (4-2) (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the home team to win this game. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if the Texans won.

Eagles (3-2) @ NY Giants (2-4) (1pm FOX)

Saquon Barkley doesn’t think he’s going to be BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOed when he returns to Metlife. Clearly he doesn’t know Giants fans at all. I know I’ll be BOOOOING him from my couch. I’m so mad at the Giants organization right now. The only thing I am looking forward to about this game is to hear the crowd booing Barkley every time he touches the ball, and, yes,  I am starting him in fantasy. I’ll take the L. The Giants will also take the L because WE SUCK! The only thing we were good at was our defense but then we lost Kavon Tibidoux to IR the week prior. More recently, left tackle Andrew Thomas was lost to a season ending injury. Thankfully we will have Malik Nabers back. Not that we have a good QB to throw to our number one receiver who wears #1. I’m picking the Giants to lose this game. As I said before, I’m done picking a Daniel Jones led team to win.

Lions (4-1) @ Vikings (5-0) (1pm FOX)

The Lions lost Aidan Hutchison to a season ending injury last week when they played the Cowboys. It definitely hurts their defense but I think they’ll recover and rebound. The Vikings are fresh off their bye, but I think they are going to lose at home. I’m picking the Lions to win this game.

Seahawks (3-3) @ Falcons (4-2) (1pm FOX)

I’m going with home field advantage and picking the Falcons to win this game.

Bengals (2-4) @ Browns (1-5) (1pm CBS)

All the Bengals needed to do is play the Giants to gain all of their confidence. The Browns on the other hand just traded away their best wide receiver in Amari Cooper. I’m picking the Bengals to get this win. The Browns continue to implode.

Dolphins (2-2) @ Colts (3-3) (1pm FOX)

Anthony Richardson might be healthy enough to get the start for the Colts, otherwise we get another week of Joe Flacco. With Tua still on IR I think it’s safe to pick the Colts to win this game, and that’s what I am doing. I’m picking the Colts for the win.

Panthers (1-5) @ Commanders (4-2) (4:05pm CBS)

I am picking the Commanders to win this game.

Raiders (2-4)  @ Rams (1-4) (4:05pm CBS)

The Raiders traded Davante Adams away so it seems like they are giving up just like the Browns. The Rams are fresh off their bye so I am picking LA to win this game.

Chiefs (5-0) @ 49ers (3-3) (4:25pm FOX)

The last time these two teams met the Chiefs beat the 49ers 25-22 in overtime in Super Bowl 58. The Chiefs are fresh off their bye and the 49ers are fresh off a win over the Seahawks after losing two in a row previously. This is a trap game for the Chiefs. But the Chiefs always find a way to win. I’m picking the Chiefs to win this game, but won’t be surprised if they get their first loss of the season. Also, I will not be starting Patrick Mahomes in fantasy.

Jets (2-4) @ Steelers (4-2) (8:20pm NBC/Peacock)

Aaron Rodgers got his wish, Davante Adams is a Jet. The Steelers are leaning towards starting Russell Wilson instead of Justin Fields. I am picking the Steelers to win this game, mostly because I don’t want to pick the Jets.

Monday, October 21st

Ravens (4-2) @ Buccaneers (4-2) (8:15pm ESPN)

This should be a fun game. It’ll probably be a shootout. I am picking the Bucs for the win.

I don’t care if I am wrong.

Chargers (3-2) @ Cardinals (2-4) (9pm ESPN+)

The Chargers just had their bye and the Cardinals seem to be limping along. Marvin Harrison Jr. hasn’t cleared concussion protocol yet, not that he’s a difference maker. I guess I’ll go with home field advantage, even though the Cardinals have lost two at home already this year. I’m picking the Cardinals to win this game.

Regular Season Week 6

There are still only two undefeated teams left as we go into week 6 and every team has won at least one game this season. The Vikings and Chiefs are still perfect. I lost in both of my fantasy leagues but the Giants pulled out a win so that makes things better.    “CMC Ya Next Season” (2-3),  “Won’t You Be My Nabers” (2-3).  Also, I went 7-7 in my picks, so I’m still  batting .500.

Week 6 brings the second London game, and more byes. I get to play my partner again in our other fantasy league, maybe I’ll take this one? Probably not. You saw my records in both leagues. Also, all you T-Swift haters will not be subjected to seeing her for 3.7 seconds out of an entire game because the Chiefs have a bye this week.

Let’s jump into the recap!

Buccaneers @ Falcons 30-36 OT

Starting Baker Mayfield was definitely the right decision on my part in fantasy. I didn’t win but I didn’t lose as badly had I started Mahomes. This was a really fun game to watch. I was sad that I got the pick wrong but, holy moly, it was entertaining. Kirk Cousins threw for over 500 yards and had 4 touchdowns and one interception. That’s unbelievable! Mayfield only threw for 180 yards but had 3 passing touchdowns and no interceptions. I’ll take the 23.4 fantasy points he earned! I also learned I should have started Darnell Mooney as he had 9 receptions for 105 yards, two touchdowns, and 31.5 fantasy points on my bench. I still would have lost in fantasy but it would have been a much closer loss, not a 36 point loss.

NY Jets @ Vikings 17-23

Here’s a fun fact: Through the first 5 games of this season the Vikings have only trailed for 3 minutes and 26 seconds. Insane. I got this pick correct. It doesn’t matter what continent they are on, all the Vikings do is win, win, win, no matter what.  In other news, the Jets suck. As soon as they got back from London, head coach Robert Saleh was fired. Aaron Rodgers used a lot of big words on the Pat McAafee show to let the audience know he had nothing to do with it. He’s immunized so I believe him. That's a sarcastic font. I don’t believe anything that comes out of that man’s mouth. A-aron got the head coach fired in Green Bay and now he’s done it in New York.

Ravens @ Bengals 41-38 OT

The Ravens beat the Bengals in overtime with a Justin Tucker field goal. Derrick Henry ran all over the Bengals defense while Joe Burrow connected with Ja’Marr Chase for 10 receptions, 193 passing yards, 2 touchdowns and 41.3 fantasy points. I started Chase. How did I not win in fantasy this week?!

Colts @ Jaguars 34-37

The Colts still haven’t won a game in Jacksonville in 10 years. The curse is still active and the Jags got their first win of the season. Maybe their throwback jerseys really helped or maybe it was because it was Trevor Lawrence’s 25th birthday. Whatever it was, it got them the win even though it wasn’t pretty. The Colts really tried to make a comeback by  scoring 24 points in the fourth quarter despite not having quarterback Anthony Richardson, running back Jonathan Taylor, or center Ryan Kelly. Backup QB Joe Flacco did a good job of rallying the team but it wasn’t enough.  Cam Little's 49 yard field goal with 17 seconds left in the game gave the Jaguars their first victory of the season.

Dolphins @ Patriots 15-10

This game was down right ugly. There was a blocked punt, two missed field goals, botched snaps, interceptions, soooooo many penalties, and poor clock management. If they could, I think the refs would have called the game a loss for both teams. It was that bad. The Patriots only touchdown came from fumble fingers Rhamondre Stevenson who I had benched in fantasy because of all his fumbles. Oh well.

Browns @ Commanders 13-34

Jayden Daniels not only led the team in passing yards, duh, he was also the leader in rushing. Daniels went 14 for 25, with 238 passing yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception, 11 carries, and 82 rushing yards. The kid can do it all and made a mockery of the other team’s quarterback. Deshawn Watson continues to be the laughingstock of the NFL and Cleveland’s franchise. He did manage one passing touchdown but his performance was otherwise lackluster.

Bills @ Texans 20-23

I love my family. We attended a family reunion for my dad’s side of the family on Sunday. It was a nice time, good conversation, good food, and good weather. We all sat outside and I think half of us were streaming this game on our phones. Most of my dad’s side of the family are Bills fans. We were sad when the Texans kicked a last second field goal to win the game. Stefon Diggs had his revenge game but it wasn’t that incredible. He had 6 receptions for 82 yards and no touchdowns. It was Houston’s kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn who was the hero, having 3 field goals on the day.

Panthers @ Bears 10-36

Finally, I got a pick correct. You may have guessed I also didn’t start DJ Moore in this game, I should have. Moore had 5 receptions for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns and 31 fantasy points on my bench. How do you not start Moore you may ask? I thought Ja’Marr Chase, Chris Godwin, and Marvin Harrison Jr were solid choices. Oh well.

Raiders @ Broncos 18-34

The Broncos defense is legit. Pat Surtain picked off Gardner Minshew twice, one of which was a 100 yard interception return pick six. The Broncos dominated the game on both sides of the ball. Bo Nix had two passing touchdowns and over 200 passing yards. The Raiders, who started the season strong, are already falling apart.

Cardinals @ 49ers 24-23

Oh my gosh, Brock Purdy has got to stop throwing interceptions and Kylar Murray needs to throw to Marvin Harrison Jr much, much more. You’re both killing me Smalls. This loss was a gut punch to 49ers fans and my fantasy team as well.

Packers @ Rams 24-19

Green Bay scored first and the Rams answered back and took the lead in the second quarter. In the second half, Jordan Love connected with Tucker Kraft for two touchdowns and that was enough to win the game. The Rams did try to make a comeback late in the 4th but it was too little too late.

NY Giants @ Seahawks 29-20

I was still at my family reunion when this game started on Sunday so I started streaming the game on my phone like a good Giants fan. The Giants actually looked surprisingly good marching down the field and eating up the game clock in the first quarter. I was shocked because we still have Danny at QB and we were without Nabers and Singletary. We were at the goal line ready to score when Eric Gray fumbled the ball and Rayshawn Jenkins returned it 102 yards for a touchdown. I turned off my phone. Family is more important than stupid football. The reunion was wrapping up, so we said our goodbyes and were home for the second half of the game. The Giants had actually put points on the board and I figured it was because I wasn’t watching. I decided to turn the game back on and change into my Dexter Lawrence II jersey for the second half. Danny actually had two passing touchdowns and zero interceptions in the game. One touchdown went to Wan’Dale Robinson and the other to Darious Slayton. Our defense and special teams were also on point. Sexy Dexy had 3 out of the 7 sacks on the day. As a NOT Geno Smith fan it was nice seeing him hit the ground so many times. #sorrynotsorry #HeRuinedEliManningsStartingStreak #BenMcadooAlsoSucks #notok #stillmad

Speaking of sacks, the Giants lead the league with 22 sacks this season.  As for special teams, the Giants stepped UP!  Seattle was on the verge of potentially forcing overtime (Giants fans thinking, ugh here we go again). The Seahawks were getting ready to kick a field goal with 55 seconds remaining and Isaiah Simmons cleanly jumped over the gap between the guard and long snapper in the offensive line and swatted the kick! The ball  bounced into the arms of Ford-Wheaton, who ran it back for a TOUCHDOWN!!!!!! That sealed the win for the Giants who were 7.5 point underdogs heading into the game! I was up off the couch jumping and yelling GO GO GO as soon as the ball was swatted! What a WIN! In other news, I’m going to learn the Sexy Dexy dance. WOOT WOOT G-MEN!

Cowboys @ Steelers 20-17

There was a significant (90 minute) weather delay for this game and as much as I wanted to stay up and watch it I totally fell asleep on the couch and woke up at 1am just as the game had concluded. The Steelers never really seemed to click after the delay and even though the Cowboys also made mistakes they unfortunately came out on top.

Saints  @ Chiefs 13-26

I’m still glad I benched Patrick Mahomes in fantasy. Once again Mahomes had zero touchdowns but had an interception. He did pass the ball a lot, having over 300 passing yards and he found Travis Kelce, who actually caught the ball a lot for a nice change.  But all of the Chiefs touchdowns were rushing. Of course I had Kareem Hunt on my bench who had over 100 rushing yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs defense really stepped up as well. They held Alvin Kamara to just 26 rushing yards on 11 carries. Kansas City is finally looking like the team that has their record. This was their first legit win of the season, not just getting lucky.

WEEK 6

Thursday, October 10th

49ers (2-3) @ Seahawks (3-2) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

Both teams lost last week and both really need a win this week to get back on track. The 49ers have a better team on paper, but will that translate to the field? I wouldn’t be surprised if the Seahawks won this game. I’ll be rooting for the 49ers but picking the home team to win this game.

Sunday, October 13th

Jaguars (1-4) @ Bears (3-2) (9:30am NFLN)

Note the time. This will be the second game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season. Historically the Jags do well in London but I don’t know if they will this time around. Yes, they did win their game last week but I don’t think they’ll win two in a row. I am picking the Bears to win this game.

Texans (4-1) @ Patriots (1-4) (1pm CBS)

I’m not sure if the Patriots will win another game this season. I am picking the Texans to win this one.

Commanders (4-1) @ Ravens (3-2) (1pm CBS)

This should be a good game and pretty evenly matched. I’m picking the home team to win, mostly because the Commanders have the best record in their division and that means something is wrong in this world.

Browns (1-4) @ Eagles (2-2) (1pm FOX)

The Eagles are fresh off their bye week and the Browns are still terrible. I’ll be rooting for the Browns, mostly Amari Cooper, but picking the Eagles to win this game. I’d say “Go Saquon” but even though he is on my fantasy team in one league my partner, and this week’s opponent, is also starting him and I’ve already lost to him once this season. I don’t want to lose to him again.

Cardinals (2-3) @ Packers (3-2) (1pm FOX)

Who even knows anymore. The Cardinals knocked off the 49ers last week so I am pretty sure they could do it again this week. I think I am still going to pick the home team to win this game.

Buccaneers (3-2) @ Saints (2-3) (1pm FOX)

With Derek Carr being doubtful I’m just going to go ahead and pick the Buccaneers to win this game. Go Baker Mayfield! Throw to Chris Godwin A LOT! Please and thank you.

Colts (2-3) @ Titans (1-3) (1pm CBS)

The Colts were embarrassed last week losing to the winless Jags and the Titans are fresh off their bye. The Colts are also super banged up so I am going to go ahead and pick the Titans to win this game. It would not surprise me if I got this pick incorrect.

Chargers (2-2) @ Broncos (3-2) (4:05pm CBS)

I think that the Broncos defense is pretty good. The Chargers are also fresh off their bye week so they should be a little bit more healthy. I’m still picking the Broncos to win this game though.

Steelers (3-2) @ Raiders (2-3) (4:05pm CBS)

This is the bounce back game the Steelers need. I am picking them to beat the Raiders. The Raiders have some problems.

Lions (3-1)  @ Cowboys (3-2) (4:25pm FOX)

Ok Detroit, let’s go! Beat those boys! The Lions are fresh off their bye week and I am picking them to beat the Cowboys. It's so much nicer when the Cowboys lose at home.

Falcons (3-2) @ Panthers (1-4) (4:25pm FOX)

Will Kirk Cousins throw another 500 yards during this game? Probably not. But I do think that Atlanta will get the win and that’s who I’m picking.

Bengals (1-4) @ NY Giants (2-3) (8:20pm NBC/Peacock)

I’ve been able to wear my Giants gear all week and not feel sad about it. I’m currently wearing my newest Giants hat, which is pretty amazing, as well as a thoughtful gift from a friend. It’s white and I am always afraid to get it dirty, but the occasion was warranted. I digress. The Giants looked good last week and if we can fix dumb fumbling mistakes we should win this game too. Watch this bite me in the ass. I’m picking the Giants to win their first home game of the season. Go G-MEN!!!

Monday, October 14th

Bills (3-2) @ Jets (2-3) (8:15pm ESPN)

The Jets have given the Bills this game on a silver platter. The Bills should and can win. I mean, they need to get back on track. They can’t lose three in a row. The Jets are probably a little jet lagged just getting back from London Sunday night. They have a new interim head coach. They’re playing like crap. Buffalo, DO NOT PLAY DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL. Beat your division rival soundly! I’m picking the Bills to bounce back and win this game! Go Bills!

The Shenoa Report Week 5 '24 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report

October 3rd, 2024

Regular Season Week 5

There are only two undefeated teams left as we go into week 5 and only one team that hasn't won a game yet this season. The Vikings and Chiefs are still perfect. Only the Jaguars have yet to win a game.  I won in one league and lost in the other. PS, it’s not fun losing to my partner.   “CMC Ya Next Season” (2-2),  “Won’t You Be My Nabers” (2-2).  Also, I went 8-8 in my picks, so I guess I could say I’m batting .500.

Week 5 will bring the first London game, the first bye week, and Crucial Catch month. Cancer sucks. We have all been personally affected one way or another by that horrible word. In the month of October, while watching the NFL, you’ll see some rainbow colors on uniforms, as well as some rainbow plaid prints on hats and hoodies. This is to show support, raise awareness, and bring attention to cancer, research, those lost, and the survivors. Since 2009, the first year of the NFL's Crucial Catch campaign, the NFL’s work has raised more than $30 million for the American Cancer Society and has supported over 762,000 cancer screenings. When you buy anything with the Crucial Catch logo on it from the NFL shop all proceeds go towards cancer research. The NFL does not retain any profits generated by royalties received due to the sale of Crucial Catch products. All dollars are donated to the American Cancer Society. Some cancers can be found early, before they have had a chance to grow and spread. The 5-year survival rate for many cancers is over 90% when detected early. Getting screened is crucial to catching cancer early when it may be easier to treat. Make your play and find your local cancer screening center. Please, get yourself checked, early detection saves lives. I had my mammogram last week, and for the couple of minutes of being uncomfortable during the examination, the relief of knowing I’m ok outweighs the few minutes of discomfort.

Let’s jump into the recap!

Cowboys @ NY Giants 20-15

Why did we have to beat Cleveland? All the false hope going into this game. What was most frustrating about this game? The ref's bad calls? The inability of our quarterback to make completions over 20 yards? To have zero touchdowns? To not be able to beat a division rival for the umpteenth time (7 consecutive)? It’s all frustrating. The refs are bad this year, across all games. In this particular game they called a facemask on the Giants and it was CLEARLY Dallas who was holding onto the Giants facemask. Was the call reversed? No. Did Daboll challenge it after the replay? No. Did New York, who is supposed to review every play, step in and change the call? No. It should have been an automatic first down that should have led to a touchdown but instead brought up a 3rd and long and our not talented quarterback couldn’t throw it far enough to make another first down.  Why do we have New York if they don’t right the ref’s wrongs?  Danny Jones didn’t have a single touchdown pass but had an interception. And our star WR Malik Nabers suffered a concussion in the 4th quarter because he was trying to win the game.  Silver linings: We found a kicker who can actually make field goals most of the time. He had 5. At least this game was Thursday night so it didn’t ruin my weekend.

Broncos  @ NY Jets 10-9

As much as I don’t like the Broncos I like Aaron Rodgers even less. It was nice to see the Broncos defense ruin his day.

Vikings @ Packers 31-29

I am still in disbelief that the Vikings are 4-0. I can’t accept it. Sam Darnold isn’t good.  Why is this happening? Sorry Packers fans, it’s even worse to lose to a division rival. I know.

Saints @ Falcons 24-26

Atlanta finally wins their first home game of the season. Neither quarterback had a passing touchdown but both had an interception. It was kind of a messy game in which the defense of each team seemed to be better than the offense. For instance the first touchdown was a fumble recovery by Atlanta to put them up 7-0. The Saints answered back with a Taysom Hill rushing touchdown later in the first. The game went back and forth until the last few seconds of the game when a Saints penalty put the Falcons into field goal range. Younghoe Koo kicked the winning 58 yard field goal as time expired.

Eagles @ Buccaneers 16-33

Yeah Bucs! Get it Baker Mayfield! This game was fantastic. Mayfield threw for 347 yards and had two passing and one rushing touchdowns! Yes! Bucs win!

Bengals @ Panthers 34-24

The Bengals got their first win of the season! Joe Burrow has turned it around. It takes him a few games to get into the groove. Burrow had two passing touchdowns, one of which went to Ja’Marr Chase! Woot! He did have one interception. Andy Dalton also had two touchdowns and one interception for the Panthers.

Jaguars @ Texans 20-24

The Jags really aren’t good and the Texans seemed to be playing down to their level. Houston had punted on 5 straight possessions in the second half and it looked like the Jags were going to win this game until C.J. Stroud connected with Dare Ogunbowale on a one yard touchdown pass with 18 seconds left to win the game.

Steelers @ Colts 24-27

Anthony Richardson was injured early in this game and Joe Flacco took over. Flacco is special. He led the Browns to the playoffs last year and is now helping the Colts this season.  Pittsburgh might have been prepared for Richardson but they weren’t ready for Flacco, note the final score.

Rams @ Bears 18-24

Caleb Williams is figuring it out. He led four scoring drives and the Bears beat the Rams because of it. Williams had one passing touchdown to DJ Moore, who of course was on my bench in fantasy. I’m glad things are finally clicking for the rookie quarterback. Maybe it’s time to start Moore again in fantasy.

Commanders @ Cardinals 42-14

Jayden Daniels embarrassed the Cardinals defense. Also, I don’t like that the Commanders are relevant.

Patriots @ 49ers 13-30

The 49ers bounced back even though they are injury ridden. It was their defense that really stepped up. Fred Warner had a pick six in the second quarter and then the offense started to click. It also helped that the Patriots are pretty bad this year.

Browns @ Raiders 16-20

Speaking of bad, the Browns are terrible. Cleveland had the Raiders shutout in the first quarter after an unlikely Deshaun Watson passing touchdown and a Dustin Hopkins field goal. After that it was all Raiders, who scored a combined 20 points in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, shutting out the Browns. The Browns tried to make a comeback in the fourth but it was too little too late.

Chiefs @ Chargers 17-10

It wasn’t pretty but the Chiefs got it done. Patrick Mahomes is killing me in fantasy. I actually don’t care if he’s winning games for his team because he is costing me games in fantasy. Son of a B!

Bills @ Ravens 10-35

The Bills got a reality check. It wasn’t fun to watch. What we learned: Derrick Henry is still relevant and Lamar Jackson has started to throw accurate passes. Henry had two total touchdowns and Jackson had two passing and one rushing touchdowns. Josh Allen had zero. It was ugly if you’re a Bills fan. Really ugly.

Titans @ Dolphins 31-12

The Dolphins made the Titans look good and that’s saying something. Thankfully there were two games on Monday night so you didn’t actually have to watch this one. It was also bad, like Bills - Ravens bad.

Seahawks @ Lions 29-42

Jared Goff  threw a perfect game, setting an NFL record by completing all 18 of his passes. He did throw an incomplete pass, but it was negated by a penalty. Goff also had a touchdown reception for the first time in his career, catching a pass from Amon-Ra St. Brown. Jared threw one of his two touchdown passes to St. Brown as well. Goff and St. Brown are the eighth duo in league history to throw and catch a touchdown from each other. Honestly it was just nice to see the Lions win and the Seahawks lose.

WEEK 5

Thursday, October 3rd

Buccaneers (3-1) @ Falcons (2-2) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

News alert. I am starting Baker Mayfield and benching Patrick Mahomes. Baker, please, please, please, have a game like you did last week. Please. I’d love 3 touchdowns and a lot of passing yards. I'd have said 5 touchdowns but I don’t want to sound greedy. Anyway, I’m picking the Bucs to win this game.

Sunday, October 6th

 NY Jets (2-2) @ Vikings (4-0) (9:30am NFLN)

Note the time. This is the first London game of the season. The game will be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. I’m picking the Vikings to win this game. Aaron Rodgers injured his knee in the loss last week and because he’s old he’s not going to bounce back quickly. He IS old! He’s the oldest active player this season.

Ravens (2-2) @ Bengals (1-3) (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Ravens to win this game but I’ll be rooting for the Bengals. One of my opponents is starting Lamar Jackson so I need him to have a dud of a game.

Colts (2-2) @ Jaguars (0-4) (1pm CBS)

The Jags haven’t won a game this season but the Colts haven’t won a game in Jacksonville in 10 years. The Colts last win in Jacksonville was in 2014. The Jags will be wearing their throwback jerseys in hopes to channel their past wins against this division rival. The Colts may be without Anthony Richards and Jonathan Taylor who are both questionable heading into this game. All that said, I am picking the Colts to break this curse and win this game.

Dolphins (1-3) @ Patriots (1-3) (1pm FOX)

This is another divisional game in which both teams are really bad. I think that the Patriots are going to bounce back and win a game at home and that's who I’m picking.

Browns (1-3) @ Commanders (3-1) (1pm FOX)

Ugh. I’m picking the Commanders to win this game.

Bills (3-1) @ Texans (3-1) (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Bills to bounce back and win this game.

Panthers (1-3) @ Bears (2-2) (1pm FOX)

I’m picking the home team to win this week.

Raiders (2-2) @ Broncos (2-2) (4:05pm FOX)

Davante Adams may have already played his last game as a Raider. He wants a trade and will not suit up this weekend. I picked up the Broncos defense so I'm also going to pick them to win this game.

Cardinals (1-3) @ 49ers (2-2) (4:05pm FOX)

Even though the 49ers are pretty banged up I am still picking them to win this game. I just need them to allow a few Marvin Harrison Jr touchdowns. Please and thank you.

Packers (2-2)  @ Rams (1-3) (4:25pm CBS)

The Rams are another team that is already banged up this season. I am picking the Packers to win this game.

NY Giants (1-3) @ Seahawks (3-0) (4:25pm CBS)

Thankfully I have a family reunion Sunday so I won’t have to watch this game. With Nabers most likely out, because he’s still in concussion protocol, there is no way for the Giants to win. I’m picking the Seahawks to win this game. Go Giants.

Cowboys (2-2) @ Steelers (3-1) (8:20pm NBC/Peacock)

I am picking the Steelers to improve to 4-1. Boo Cowboys.

Monday, October 7th

Saints (2-2) @ Chiefs (4-0) (8:15pm ESPN)

This game will be ugly but the Chiefs will still squeak out another win. Watch, now that I’ve benched Mahomes he’ll have 5 touchdowns.
