The Shenoa Report Week 12 '22

The Shenoa Report
November 24, 2022
Regular Season Week 12

Greetings from Florida and Happy Thanksgiving! My partner and I are down in the sunshine state to be with my family for thanksgiving for the first time in 9 years. We’ve been traveling for the past 3 days to get here and I’ve learned that I can not type and ride without getting carsick. Therefore I’ve waited till the 11th hour to write this week’s edition. This report is hard enough to write when everything is going well in football land. It’s even harder to write when my fantasy team loses, if the Giants lose, or if I don’t do well on picks. Well, guess what? This is going to be a really hard one to write. I lost miserably again in fantasy, the Giants lost, and I went 8-6 on my picks. It was the trifecta of awful. I really try to take the time to recap each game and give a little, somewhat biased, opinion on the upcoming matchups. This week may be a little different.

We’ve got three games today on Thanksgiving, my Giants are playing the Cowboys, and I’m playing my mom in fantasy this week. What could go wrong?

Before we get to week 12 let’s recap the ridiculousness of week 11…

Titans @ Packers 27-17

OK, I’ve learned my lesson. I am finished picking the Packers to win a game. They are, indeed, horrible. The Packers defense made Ryan Tannehill look pretty good and Derrick Henry was back to his old awesome self, running for 87 yards, diving over defenders to complete first downs, and also scoring a rushing touchdown. Aaron Rodgers did have two passing touchdowns to his new favorite target, Christian Watson, but it wasn’t enough to win the game.

Bears @ Falcons 24-27

Justin Fields is a beast and played through a separated shoulder in the second half of the game. Fields had two total touchdowns and continues to be dominant in the fantasy world. The Falcons got lucky with this win when Younghoe Koo kicked a 53 yard field goal to end the game.

Browns @ Bills (in Detroit) 23-31

The Bills were able to get it done in Detroit when they took on the Browns. I tell you what, both teams' fans travel well to support their respective teams. The game wasn’t as high scoring as I thought it would be but I was glad to see that Buffalo got the win at “home.” Remember, the Bills couldn’t play in Buffalo because the stadium was under 6 feet of snow.

Eagles @ Colts 17-16

Man, it was looking like the Eagles were going to lose two in a row. But Jalen Hurts used his legs and ran for a touchdown to give Philadelphia the win after the two minute warning in the fourth quarter.

Jets @ Patriots 3-10

This game was tied at 3 with 26 seconds left in the game and Marcus Jones returned a punt for a touchdown to end the game. If you follow Inside the NFL you know that  Brandon Marshall actually got that tattoo of the Pats logo.  Tehehehe.

Rams @ Saints 20-27

The Saints finally got a home win but it wasn’t because of  Alvin Kamara… So frustrating!

Lions @ NY Giants 31-18

I really don’t want to talk about it. Stupid Giants. Stupid stupid stupid. AHHHHHHHH!

Panthers @ Ravens 3-13

Baker Mayfield is so terrible that I think they are going to activate Sam Darnold next week. The Ravens defense had a big play to give the ball back to the offense late in the game to set Lamar up for a 1 yard rushing touchdown to end the game.

Commanders @ Texans 23-10

Taylor Heinicke won the starting job and led the Commanders to another win. Sorry not sorry Carson Wentz.

Raiders @ Broncos 22-16 OT

It took overtime but the Raiders won on the road for the first time this season and it’s all thanks to Davante Adams. He caught a 35 yard bomb from Derek Carr to end the game.

Cowboys @ Vikings 40-3

Oh man. The Vikings had the most embarrassing loss of this week. And that’s saying something coming from a Giants fan. I mean, just look at that score. Minnesota can kiss their 7 game win streak goodbye.

Bengals @ Steelers 37-30

Joe Burrow is back to being cool Joe with 4 touchdown passes in this win over the Steelers. Pittsburgh put up a fight and is looking more like an actual NFL team this week but it wasn’t enough for the W.

Chiefs @ Chargers 30-27

Patrick Mahomes connected with Travis Kelce for all three of his touchdowns. Those guys are good. The Chargers hung in there but when you have Mahomes and Kelce, you’ve just gotta count it as a loss.

49ers @ Cardinals 38-10

The elevation didn’t seem to bother Jimmy Garoppolo or the rest of the 49ers as they routed the Kyler Murray-less Cards in Mexico City. Jimmy G hit Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle two times each for 4 passing touchdowns. Deebo Samuel had another touchdown on the ground.

WEEK 12

Thursday, November 24th Happy Thanksgiving!

Bills (6-3) @ Lions (3-6) (12:30pm CBS)

The Bills are back at Ford Field for the second time in 5 days, this time the away team. It’s tradition for the Lions to lose on Thanksgiving and I think the tradition is going to continue and their win streak ends. I’m picking the Bills to win this game.

NY Giants (7-2) @ Cowboys (6-3) (4:30pm FOX)

I’m calling it now. The team that wins this matchup is the team that OBJ will sign with. Of course I hope it’s the Giants. But because they lost to the Lions last week and the Cowboys stomped the Vikings I’m picking the Cowboys for the win. I am hoping and praying I’m wrong. Go G-Men, bring back OBJ!

Patriots (5-4) @ Vikings (8-1) (8:20pm NBC)

I think that the Vikings will bounce back and win this game.

Sunday, November 27th

Buccaneers (5-5) @ Browns (3-6) (1pm FOX)

The Bucs are fresh off their bye and should be ready to beat the Browns. But the Browns are playing some decent football as of late. I think I’m going to pick the Bucs to win.

Bengals (5-4) @ Titans (7-3)  (1pm CBS)

I think this is going to be a good game and a close game but I’m picking the Bengals to win.

Texans (1-7-1) @ Dolphins (7-3) (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Dolphins to win this game. The Texans have benched Davis Mills and I don’t know who the backup is and I’m not going to look it up.

Bears (3-7) @ NY Jets (6-3) (1pm FOX)

Speaking of benchings, the Jets have not only benched but also deactivated Zach Wilson. I think the Bears actually have a chance at winning this game, but only if Justin Fields plays. I think I’m picking the Jets to win though.

Falcons (4-6) @ Commanders (5-5) (1pm FOX)

I’m picking the Commanders to win this game.

Broncos (3-6) @ Panthers (3-7) (1pm FOX)

I’m picking the Broncos to win this game but only because I think that Sam Darnold is starting for the Panthers.

Ravens (6-3) @ Jaguars (3-7) (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Ravens to win this game even though the Jags are fresh off their bye.

Chargers (5-4) @ Cardinals (4-6) (4:05pm CBS)

If Kyler Murray is still out I’m picking the Chargers to win this game.

Raiders (2-7) @ Seahawks (6-4) (4:05pm CBS)

I’m picking the Seahawks to win this game, the Raiders got lucky last week.

Rams (3-6) @ Chiefs (7-2)  (4:25pm FOX)

I’m picking the Chiefs to win this game, especially with Matt Stafford out.

Saints (3-7) @ 49ers (5-4) (4:25pm FOX)

I’m picking the 49ers to win this game. The bigger question is will Kamara actually get me any fantasy points?

Packers (4-7) @ Eagles (8-1) (8:20pm NBC)

I’m picking the Eagles to win this game. Aaron Rodgers has been playing with a broken thumb and I’m pretty sure he aggravates it every time he throws.

Monday, November 21st

Steelers (3-6) @ Colts (4-5-1) (8:15pm ESPN/ABC)

With Jonathon Taylor back to full strength I’m picking the Colts to win this game but I wouldn’t be sad if they lost.

There are no byes this week. I hope you enjoy time with friends and family this week!

GO G-MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Week 11 '22 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
November 17, 2022
Regular Season Week 11

Instead of saying  Week 10 was another “any given Sunday'' week with some pretty major upsets I think it's just time we realize that this entire season is just wonky. I mean, first of all the NY Football Giants are 7-2 and tied for 3rd place in the NFL!!!! I’m not complaining at all about that stat, this time last year they were 2-8. I am so incredibly happy and proud of my G-Men. My fantasy team on the other hand, not so much. I am 4-6, dropping the last 4. 3 out of 4 of those losses, had I played 6 other teams, I would’ve won, this week included. It stings, it sucks, and I wish I could say it doesn’t mean anything. But it does. I hate losing, even when there is “nothing” riding on the game. I’m not playing for $ or anything. It’s just my pride. And I am broken. I won’t even make the playoffs. I feel like I should change my name to She-don’t-no-a-football. Also, my picks were bad, I went 6-8.

Week 11 byes include Buccaneers, Jaguars, Seahawks, and the Dolphins. Also, in Week 11 we’ll have another international game, this time in Mexico City. Before we get too much more into week 11 let’s recap week 10.

Falcons @ Panthers 15-25

Well I started week 10 strong (That’s sarcastic font). I got this pick wrong and D.J. Moore got me a whopping 6 points in fantasy.  The Panthers won a very rainy divisional matchup. It wasn’t a very good or entertaining game.

Seahawks @ Buccaneers 16-21

Tom Brady is the only quarterback to have wins in four different countries. He’s won in the USA (duh), England, Mexico, and now Germany. The German fans were incredible. At one point the whole arena was singing John Denver’s, “Country Roads”. I wonder how they picked that song to memorize? Anyway, Tom Brady had a mostly good day. I mean, they won the game and he threw a touchdown pass to Chris Godwin which made me happy. But the play of the game was when Leonard Fornette passed the ball to Brady and Tom slipped and fell instead of catching the pass.  The defender intercepted the pass so Brady kicked at him to make him trip. If you haven’t seen this play, do yourself a favor and google it. You won’t be disappointed. Also google the Germans singing Country Roads. Again, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Vikings  @ Bills 33-30 OT

This game was heartbreaking. Josh Allen was a game time decision and when the news came out that he was going to start you could feel the collective sigh of relief from every Bills fan in the world. Of course Allen made some pretty boneheaded mistakes but I don’t think that was due to his injury. The Bills were up 17 points in the third quarter with everything going their way.  And then, everything fell apart. Allen had 2 turnovers in the fourth quarter and another in overtime. The Bills thought they had the game won with less than a minute to go in the 4th with a goal line stand. But Allen fumbled the ball in the endzone on a bad snap and the Vikings recovered. The game went into overtime and the Vikings won the coin toss. The Bills defense held them to a field goal so the Bills got the ball and started to drive down the field. They got into the redzone and then Allen threw another interception to give the game to the Vikings. With this loss the Bills have dropped to 3rd in their division ahead of only the Patriots.

Lions @ Bears 31-30

The Lions were down 14 points in the fourth quarter and it looked like they were going to lose yet another game. Justin Fields was dominating the field of play but all the momentum changed when he threw a pick 6 in the fourth which  tied the game. Fields was not done though. He  took off for a 67 yard run to score yet another touchdown but Cairo Santos’ extra point was no good. The Lions got the ball back late in the fourth and drove 91 yards, capping off a Jamaal Williams touchdown with a Badgley extra point to win the game.

Broncos @ Titans 10-17

The Broncos didn’t win the game but they held Derrick Henry to just 53 rushing yards so that’s kind of like a win right? Not really, it was the Titans defense that shut out the Broncos 3 out of the 4 quarters, allowing Denver only to score in the 2nd. Ryan Tannehill found a new target in Nick Westbrook-Ikhine who had 2 receiving touchdowns in this win over the Broncos.

Jaguars  @ Chiefs 17-27

Trevor Lawrence is now 6-21 through 27 games. This is still the worst record among all quarterbacks ever drafted number 1 overall. At least he didn’t throw an interception during this game. It’s tough, he did go up against the 4th ranked team in the league. On the other hand Patrick Mahomes had a good day. He had over 330 passing yards and 4 touchdowns; one of which went to former Giant, Kadarius Toney. That one stung a little bit.

Browns @ Dolphins 17-39

The Dolphins are currently at the top of their division. Yes, the same division as the Bills, Jets, and Patriots. This football season is weird. Not only did Miami win the game, Tua had 285 passing yards and three touchdowns on the day. The defense also held Nick Chub to just one score and 63 rushing yards. That’s pretty impressive.

Texans @ NY Giants 16-24

The New York Football Giants are now 7-2!!!!!!!! Saquon Barkley has more rushing yards (931) this season than the Texans, Bengals, Chargers, Buccaneers, and Rams. Danny Jones had 197 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, and a 153.3 passer rating in this game. This is also the first game this season that the Giants played with the LEAD the ENTIRE game. To say that I am beyond proud of my team is an understatement. I think that Saquon should get comeback player of the year and that Brian Daboll should get coach of the year. This team is special. We don’t have a star quarterback or star wide receivers but Daboll believes in his team and vice versa. For the first time in too many years it's fun to watch the Giants. Not once did I pick up my knitting needles during this game. Not once.

Saints @ Steelers 10-20

I am so flippin’ annoyed at the Saints. They have one of the best running backs in the league and they continuously forget to utilize him. Kamara had 0 touchdowns and only 26 rushing yards against a team that only had two wins going into this game. It’s not right. It’s just not right. I’m blaming his lackluster performance for my fourth consecutive fantasy loss…

Colts @ Raiders 25-20

A week or so before Jeff Saturday became the interim head coach for the Colts he tweeted out “The Raiders look horrible.” I’m going to have to agree with him. The Raiders do look horrible. What an absolutely embarrassing loss. Thanks to the Raiders loss we are going to have to endure another week of listening to Jim Ersay spout about what a genius he was to bring in Saturday at all. What a mess.

Cowboys @ Packers 28-31 OT

The Cowboys head coach, Mike McCarthy went back to his old stomping grounds as he used to be the head coach for the Packers. He was ready for a revenge game. Or was he? The Packers beat the Cowboys BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!  Just when you count Aaron Rodgers out he goes and knocks off the Cowboys. I’m pretty sure he did it for the Giants and we thank you. As much as I don’t like either team I like my Giants more and this really helped them. I think the Cowboys just looked past this week and it came back to bite them. Ultimately it bit me too as I started the Cowboys defense in fantasy. But I can’t be mad about this outcome.

Cardinals @ Rams 27-17

Both teams started back up quarterbacks and both teams struggled in doing so. The Rams just struggled much more. Not only did they lose the game they lost Cooper Kupp to a serious ankle injury that is going to require surgery. It was a pretty ugly game and because the Cardinals are the in season Hard Knocks team this year, we’ll get to see parts of the game again. I wonder what HBO takes from this game?

Chargers @ 49ers 16-22

Welp, the only chance I had of winning fantasy this week was for Christian McCaffrey to score less than 7 points. And it was coming true! Until about 8 minutes left in the game when Jimmy G handed the ball to Mcaffrey and he scored a touchdown which pretty much sealed the game and definitely sealed my loss. Fun fact: after the touchdown I painted my nails. The name of the color. JADED.

Commanders @ Eagles 32-21

THE EAGLES LOST!!!!! TO A DIVISIONAL OPPONENT!!!!! Now I thought the Cowboys loss was poetic, but this one was much, much better. I’m not going to lie, I didn’t watch the first half of this game because I was pretty bitter about losing in fantasy and I don’t really like either of these teams. But I’m so glad I tuned in for the second half. Ron Rivera became the second head coach in the Super Bowl era to defeat two 8-0 or better teams: the 2022 Eagles and the 2020 Steelers. Good job Riverboat Ron!

WEEK 11

Thursday, November 17th

Titans (6-3) @ Packers (4-6) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

The Packers need this game more but I think that the Titans play harder. The Titans are also riddled with injuries and it looks like A-Aron has found a new favorite wide receiver. I am going to pick the Packers to win this game.

Sunday, November 20th

Bears (3-7) @ Falcons (4-6) (1pm FOX)

Justin Fields is the only QB in the Super Bowl era with multiple rushing touchdowns of 60+ yards in the same season. I hope he adds to this stat during this game. I’m thinking that this is going to be a high scoring game. I’m also hoping it’ll be a high scoring game too. I’m picking the Falcons to win but I’ll be rooting for Justin Fields and the rest of DA BEARS.

Browns (3-6) @ Bills (6-3) (1pm CBS)

The Bills lost a heartbreaker last week and I don’t think they’ll lose two in a row. I am picking the Bills to win this game. The NFL is officially is moving the Browns-Bills game out of Buffalo and to Ford Field in Detroit, where it will be played Sunday at 1 pm.

Buffalo as well as the rest of the Great Lakes is predicted to get multiple FEET of snow, up to 6’ on Sunday.  Fun fact: Devin Singletary is only 5’7”. Oh man, what great football weather. It’s a good thing they moved the game otherwise Josh Allen might not be able to find Singletary!

Eagles (8-1) @ Colts (4-5-1) (1pm CBS)

Man, it was so nice to see the Eagles lose last week, but I don’t think it’ll be the case this week. Even though the Colts interim coach has the best record of any active coach in the NFL I think Jeff Saturday will get his first loss as a head coach. I’m picking the Eagles to win.

Jets (6-3) @ Patriots (5-4)  (1pm CBS)

Both teams are coming off their bye so they should be bright eyed and bushy tailed. The last time these two played each other the Patriots won. I picked the Jets last time and I’m picking them to win again this time. Brandon Marshall and Julian Edelman have made a bet that the loser has to get a tattoo of the team that loses. Marshall played for the Jets and Edelman played for the Pats. This makes the game much more interesting.

Rams (3-6) @ Saints (3-7) (1pm FOX)

Matt Stafford is still in concussion protocol and may not play again this week for the Rams. The Saints still don’t have a quarterback, and haven’t most of the season. Oh wait. Do you count Andy Dalton as a qb? I think he’s pretty much a lukewarm body on the field. I say lukewarm because I hear that gingers don’t actually have souls. I think they should just direct snap the ball to Alvin Kamara, the only good player on the Saints, who sometimes but rarely ever gets the ball. Is it because he’s on my fantasy team? Does New Orleans hate me? It feels like it pretty much every week. The Saints have lost 4 of their 6 home games this season. OK, if Matt Stafford starts for the Rams I’m picking them to win the game. If he doesn’t start I’m picking the Saints for the win.

 Lions (3-6) @ NY Giants (7-2)  (1pm FOX)

The Lions record does not reflect the team they are. They’ve lost multiple close games this season but have won their past two games. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still picking the Giants to win this game. I'm just giving the Lions the credit they deserve. I just hope the Giants haven’t looked past this game, because they’ll be in for a rude awakening if they do. GO G-MEN!

Panthers (3-7) @ Ravens (6-3)  (1pm FOX)

Baker Mayfield is starting for the Panthers, so I think this is a sure win for Baltimore. The Ravens are fresh off their bye and I’m picking them for the win. Now the question is, do I start D.J. Moore or Devin Duvernay? I wish Baker would make nice with Moore so I could get more points in fantasy.

Commanders (5-5)  @ Texans (1-7-1) (1pm FOX)

The Commanders are coming off a HUGE win over the Eagles. I think they’ll keep this momentum going and beat the Texans this week. I’m picking Washington for the win.

Raiders (2-7) @ Broncos (3-6) (4:05pm FOX)

The Raiders haven’t won on the road all season. I’m picking the Broncos to win this game.

Cowboys (6-3) @ Vikings (8-1) (4:25pm CBS)

I hope you are sitting down for this. Now that the Vikings have beaten the Bills I do believe that they are the real deal. I’m picking them to also beat the Cowboys and I hope they do. I also hope that Dalvin Cook has another monster game. That would be great.

Bengals (5-4) @ Steelers (3-6) (4:25pm CBS)

Welp I picked up the Bengals defense in fantasy this week so I am picking the Bengals to win this game. They will be sporting their white and black uniforms against the Steelers so they’ll look super sharp and they are coming off their bye so they’ll be super fresh too.

Chiefs (7-2) @ Chargers (5-4)  (8:20pm NBC)

Half of Patrick Mahomes’ wide receivers are hurt so that means he still has at least 4 left. I joke. Sort of. I’m picking the Chiefs to win this game.

Monday, November 21st

49ers (5-4) @ Cardinals (4-6) (8:15pm ESPN/ABC)

This game will be played in Mexico City where the elevation laughs at Denver’s mile high stadium. It’ll be good for the kickers but expect a lot of dudes on the side lines with oxygen masks. I think this will be a low scoring game and I’m picking the 49ers for the win.

GO G-MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Wk 10 '22 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
November 10, 2022
Regular Season Week 10

I know that I don’t have a lot of followers on this little blog and I’d be quite flabbergasted if anyone actually affiliated with the NFL reads this but, I’ve got to say something to the commentators. Commentators of the game, STOP USING THE PHRASE “NOTHING DOING”! Stop. Just stop. It makes  you sound uneducated and it doesn’t make a damn bit of sense. You all get paid a lot of money to be on national television calling the game. Stop sounding like a damn fool. Phew! I’ve been wanting to say that for years.

Stepping down from my soap box.

If you like sports, this is the best time of the year. Up until this weekend you could’ve watched the MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL and college football. I mean I guess there are other sports going on too, but these are the big ones. The World Series concluded on Saturday night when the Houston Astros took the series at home against the Phillies. Basketball is also underway and the World Champion Golden State Warriors have gone on a 6 game road losing streak. It’s crazy to me to think that my NY Giants have a far better record than my GSW.

We are now more than half way through the season. I don’t like how fast time goes by. Week 9 was another “any given Sunday'' week with some pretty major upsets. I went 9-4 in my picks, the Giants couldn’t lose because they had their bye, and for the first time in years I’m below .500 in fantasy. 4-5. I didn’t break 100 points and I lost by over 100…Ouch.

Week 10 byes include Bengals, Jets, Patriots, and Ravens. Also, in Week 10 we’ll have our first Germany game. I heard that tickets sold out in less than 5 minutes. Before we get too much more into week 10 let’s recap week 9.

Eagles @ Texans 29-17

At first it looked like the Eagles just looked past the Texans. Philly was playing sloppy and making a lot of mistakes they normally do not make. The score was tied going into the half. But it seems that the Eagles halftime adjustments worked and they held the Texans to just a field goal for the rest of the game.

Chargers @ Falcons 20-17

I thought I’d made the right choice in starting Marcus Mariota, as the Falcons were up 10-0 in the first quarter. I was wrong. It was only the first quarter that the Falcons actually looked good. Mariota finished with only 7.5 points in fantasy. On the other side of the ball the Chargers seemed to have a much better game, well much better than my fantasy team. Austin Ekler had two total touchdowns as the Chargers squeaked out a win with a field goal as time expired.

Dolphins @ Bears 35-32

Speaking of squeaking out a win, the Dolphins barely beat Da Bears. This was probably not the best day to start the Dolphins defense. Justin Fields broke the record for the most rushing yards by a quarterback in a regular season game. Fields had 178 rushing yards, previously Michael Vick had the record with 173 yards. He also had a 61 yard rushing touchdown, longest run by a Bears quarterback, and he threw for 3 scores. All of those records came without a win.

Panthers @ Bengals 21-42

Joe Mixon had 5 touchdowns. While P.J Walker had just 9 passing yards and two interceptions in the first half for the Panthers. It’s no wonder Baker Mayfield started the second half, it’s also no wonder the Bengals won this game.

Packers @ Lions 9-15

Aaron Rodgers had 3 redzone interceptions in this LOSS to the LIONS. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I think that’s all that needs to be said. Oh wait. Congratulations on an amazing win Detroit!

Colts @ Patriots 3-26

The Patriots defense had a monster day. They had 1 touchdown, 1 interception, 9 sacks, 1 blocked punt and only allowed 3 points. They were the star of this game, and ultimately cost Colts head coach Frank Reich his job.  Reich was relieved of his duties on Monday morning.

Bills @ Jets 17-20

Ok. The Jets are officially good. The mentality that the Jets suck is over. They beat the Bills in this stunner and hurt Josh Allen in the process. Allen is being evaluated for an elbow injury to his ulnar collateral ligament as well as related nerves. It sounds ouchy and not at all good for the Bills.

Vikings @ Commanders 20-17

The Vikings are now 7-1. I did not see this coming. I’m happy that the Commanders lost because that helps the Giants. I just wish that Dalvin Cook had more touches, yards, and touchdowns in this win. In other news, my fantasy team absolutely sucks.

Raiders @ Jaguars 20-27

Speaking of sucking, let me introduce you to the Raiders. They were up 17-0 and then completely collapsed.  I liked it better when they were shutting out the Jags because my opponent had Travis Etienne who went off for 109 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Well, at least I got the pick right.

Seahawks @ Cardinals 31-21

I’m so sick of hearing about how amazing Geno Smith is. I’m also sick of getting picks wrong and losing in fantasy. My opponent had Kenneth Walker who had 2 touchdowns and put up 27.9 points in fantasy as well as DeAndre Hopkins who also had a touchdown and 13.6 points. For comparison, one of my starting wide receivers put up 4.4 points.

Rams @ Buccaneers 13-16

I should’ve started Tom Brady. He only put up 15 points in fantasy but that was way more than my starting QB did. Brady had a fantastic night. He became the first quarterback to put up over 100,000 passing yards in his career. Insane. He also looked more like himself as he orchestrated an amazing drive at the end of the 4th quarter to finally get a much needed win.

Titans  @ Chiefs 17-20 OT

I’m not going to lie, I went to bed at the start of the fourth quarter. Time travel (daylight savings) kills me. From what I saw, it was a decent game that went back and forth. Derrick Henry continues to be a monster in the rushing game and the Titans didn’t seem to miss starting QB Tannehill. Rookie Malik Willis really held his own for his first start in the NFL. He was pretty composed throughout the entire game. Harrison Butker was the hero of the game though as he kicked the winning field goal to end the game in overtime.

Ravens @ Saints 27-13

The Saints are garbage. Thank god for the Manningcast. This week’s guests were nothing to write home about and I think that the show would’ve been better without them. I didn’t need to hear Luke Bryan talk about being drunk, nor Kirk Cousins about anything, and Sean Payton didn’t really do anything for me either.  In order for me to win in fantasy Kamara had to have 10 touchdowns without Lamar Jackson getting any points. Like I said, I lost. Horribly. As did the Saints.

WEEK 10

Thursday, November 10th

Falcons (4-5) @ Panthers (2-7) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

Panther fun fact: Even though they have only won 2 games this season every team that has faced the Panthers this year has lost their following game. Every. Single. One. So, the Falcons may win this week but will probably lose next week. This week, I’m picking the Falcons to win, though the Panthers came to play the last time the two teams met up. And I bet you anything that if D.J. Moore scores a touchdown he’ll keep his helmet on this time around.

Sunday, November 13th

Seahawks (6-3) @ Buccaneers (4-5) (9:30am NFLN)

This will be the NFL’s first game in Germany. It’ll be played at Allianz Arena in Munich. It’s another morning game so make sure your lineups are set if you’ve got anyone playing! I’m picking the Bucs to win, and I’m hoping I’m right!

Vikings (7-1) @ Bills (6-2) (1pm FOX)

I think it really all depends on how healthy Josh Allen is. Right now he is day to day, but the Fantasy Focus guys are telling fans to not plan on him playing.  If he plays I’m picking the Bills to win. If he doesn’t then I’m not so sure about my pick. I think I’m still going to pick the Bills to win.

Lions (2-6) @ Bears (3-6) (1pm FOX)

I think the Lions lose another close one, unless they can stop Justin Fields. Which means, I am picking the Bears to win this game.

Broncos (3-5) @ Titans (5-3)  (1pm CBS)

The Titans have definitely turned a corner and are dominating. They lost a close one last week and I don’t think they’ll do it again this week. I’m picking the Titans for the win.

Jaguars (3-6) @ Chiefs (6-2) (1pm CBS)

Trevor Lawrence is 6-20 through 26 games, this is the worst record among all quarterbacks ever drafted number 1 overall. I predict that Lawrence is going to be 6-21 after this game. I’m picking the Chiefs to win.

Browns (3-5) @ Dolphins (6-3)  (1pm CBS)

Tyreek Hill currently has more receiving yards than the Falcons, Giants, Texans, Ravens, Bears and Titans whole WR core. I’m picking the Dolphins to win this game.

Texans (1-6-1) @ NY Giants (6-2)  (1pm CBS)

Danny Jones has 5 game winning drives this season. No other quarterback has more than 3. Danny, let’s make it 6! The Giants are fresh off their bye. Well some of them are fresh, unfortunately some of the rookies spent their bye week in Cabo and Xaiver McKinny decided to break his hand while driving an ATV. Not cool. It’s a good thing we picked up Landon Collins who was our previous starting safety.  I’m going all in on the Giants this week in fantasy, so hopefully it doesn’t come back to bite me. I’m picking the Giants to win. GO G-MEN!

Saints (3-5)  @ Steelers (2-6) (1pm FOX)

Kenny Pickett is living up to his name. He’s tied for the 2nd most interceptions this season and he’s only started 4 games. I think that the Saints might actually be able to win this game. GO KAMARA. Please.

Colts (3-5-1) @ Raiders (2-6) (4:05pm CBS)

I think it’s safe to say that the Colts are going to tank the rest of the season. I mean, their interim head coach is former center Jeff Saturday. No offense Jeff, but you have zero college or NFL coaching experience and have no schooling for it. I’m picking the abysmal Raiders to win this game.

Cowboys (6-2) @ Packers (3-6) (4:25pm FOX)

The Packers are done. Even Lil Wayne has weighed in and said that #12 is washed up and should be benched. I’m picking the Cowboys to win this game. Also, I picked up the Dallas defense so I hope A-aron throws another 3 interceptions.

Cardinals (3-6) @ Rams (3-5) (4:25pm FOX)

Both of these teams are TERRIBLE! And both teams starting QBs are questionable going into this game. Kyler Murrary hurt his hamstring and Matt Stafford is in concussion protocol. I guess I’ll just pick the Rams for the win.

Chargers (5-3) @ 49ers (4-4)  (8:20pm NBC)

I dropped the 49ers defense so I totally expect them to win. Also Debo Samuel is supposed to be back in the line up. I’m picking the 49ers to win this game.

Monday, November 7th

Commanders (4-5) @ Eagles (8-0) (8:15pm ESPN/ABC)

A little bit about the Eagles undefeated season: They beat the 1-6 Lions by 3. They played the Vikings in primetime, Kirk Cousins is 2-10 in primetime. They beat the Commanders. They beat the Jags, who for the past 2 seasons have gotten the first pick in the draft. They beat the Cardinals without D-Hop. They beat the backup quarterback in Dallas. They beat the Steelers, who have 2 wins this season. And last week they struggled against the 1-6 Texans. I’m just saying their road to success hasn’t been difficult by any means. I’d like to see the Commanders win this game. That would be fabulous. I’m still picking the Eagles to win but I doubt they go undefeated this season.

GO G-MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Shenoa Report
November 3, 2022
Regular Season Week 9

Week 8 has been, by far, the most frustrating. I lost in fantasy, the Giants lost, though my picks were ok, 9-6. I scored over 150 points in fantasy and still lost by 23. Ugh. Let’s just say Sunday ended up being a baking day because knitting wasn’t cutting it.

Week 9 isn’t looking much better for me in the fantasy world. There are 6 teams on bye. Thankfully one of the teams is the Giants so they can’t break my heart this week. The other teams on bye for week 9 are the: Browns, Steelers, Broncos, Cowboys, and 49ers

The trade deadline came and went but I feel like I reported the biggest trades last week. The only big trade this week in my opinion, was Bradley Chubb once a Bronco and now a Dolphin. Fun fact, I picked up the Miami defense this week. I hope Chubb can help them!

Ravens @ Buccaneers 27-22

It probably comes as no surprise that the Bucs lost this game. It’s time to come to grips with the situation and just know that the Bucs are not good this year, they’re bad, real bad. It must suck to be Tom Brady right now. I mean, yes he has millions of dollars, but he’s really terrible for the first time in his career. The last time he lost 3 games in a row was 20 years ago. On top of this loss the next day his marriage was officially over and divorce final. Maybe now he can get back to playing football?

Broncos @ Jaguars 21-17

Well, I got this pick wrong because the Broncos actually found a way to win. It took a trip across the pond but they finally got it done. It was Latavius Murray who scored the last touchdown late in the fourth quarter to give the Broncos the lead and win. Fun fact: This game was not the first game this season where Murray scored a touchdown in London. He also had a touchdown earlier this month when he played for the Saints.

Panthers  @ Falcons 34-37

The winner of this game would also be number one in their division. D.J. Moore had cause for celebration after he caught a touchdown pass that would seal the win with an extra point. But Moore chose to celebrate by taking  off his helmet on the field after his touchdown and drew a penalty. This penalty made the extra point 15 yards further away and Carolina’s kicker, Eddy Pineiro, missed the extra point, sending the game into overtime. Both Moore and Pineiro were visibly upset that they now needed overtime to potentially secure a win. That win never came as Pineiro had another chance to win the game in overtime only to miss again. Atlanta’s kicker Younghoe Koo was able to get it done with a 41-yard field goal to end overtime and the game.

Bears @ Cowboys 29-49

Holy high scoring batman! The one day I actually wanted to see Ezekiel Elliott play, he was sidelined and his back up Tony Pollard became the starter. Of course my opponent started Pollard who had 131 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns. I should’ve known right then and there that I was going to lose in fantasy. Stupid Cowboys. Stupid fantasy football.

Dolphins @ Lions 31-27

I really thought that the Lions were going to come through and actually win the game. But instead, the fantasy football gods decided my opponent needed more points and Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle went off for 8 receptions, 106 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Son of a bee sting!

Cardinals @ Vikings 26-34

The Vikings made a statement coming off their bye week.  Kirk Cousins had one of his best games with the Vikings with 3 total touchdowns. Kylar Murray also had 3 touchdowns for the Cards but also was picked off twice. I was happy that Dalvin Cook had over 110 yards and a touchdown on the day but I was hoping for more.

 Raiders @ Saints 0-24

Kamara finally got his first touchdown of the season! And then he got another, and then he got another! Like Pollard, Kamara had 3 total touchdowns and 42.8 fantasy points. Things were finally looking good for me in the fantasy world. Also, it was nice to see the Raiders get shut out.

Patriots @ NY Jets 22-17

I think this was the first time this season that I picked the Jets to win.  What was I thinking? It seems that Bill Belicheck really does know what he’s doing and his coaching days are not over. Fantasy implications for this game? Oh yes, my opponent had the Pats defense and they had 3 interceptions. Cool.

Steelers @ Eagles 13-35

I’m sick of the Eagles winning but I am even more sick of starting Devonta Smith in fantasy and him not doing ANYTHING to get me any points. I’m pretty sure that if my opponent had Devonta Smith, Smith would’ve put up A.J. Brown points. Speaking of Brown, he had 6 receptions for 156 yards, 3 touchdowns and 39.6 points in fantasy on this rout of the Steelers. Also, after his stellar performance he was selected for a “random” drug test Monday morning. Isn’t it ironic? Don’t you think?

Titans @ Texans 17-10

This is starting to get old… You guessed it, my opponent had Derrick Henry too. And that guy went off! Henry ran for 219 yards, had two touchdowns, and 35.8 points in fantasy. Ridiculous. Full disclosure, my opponent this week previously proposed a trade for Henry and Courtland Sutton for Devonta Smith and Saquon Barkley. I’m almost kicking myself for declining the trade. I just couldn’t give up Saquon. But I really miss King Henry this season.

Commanders @ Colts 17-16

This was actually a pretty evenly matched game and if Indy could’ve actually gotten into the endzone more than once they would’ve won this game. Also, what happened to Jonathan Taylor? Did you know that he hasn’t rushed for over 100 yards or scored a touchdown since Week 1. Crazy.

49ers @ Rams 31-14

Guys! Did you know that Christian McCaffrey is now a 49er?!? I mean, I did report on it last week but he really made a statement during this game. McCaffrey had a passing, receiving, and rushing touchdown in this ridiculous win over the Rams.

 NY Giants  @ Seahawks 13-27

I have so much I want to say about this game. But it makes me so angry and frustrated I don’t know if I can articulate all of it. First of all, I never expected the Giants to be good this season. I thought they would only have 4 wins the entire year. Well, then they just kept winning and I got used to it. So I saw this game and I thought, we can totally win again. I wasn’t even concerned that we were down in the fourth quarter because we’ve always come back to win in the end. Then it all fell apart. I’m not going to lie, I didn’t watch the last 5 minutes. I knew it was over. I don’t like losing, I don’t like when my team loses. Some time passed and I got an alert on my phone, “Geno Smith dedicated victory over former team to ex-Giants coach Ben McAdoo and GM Jerry Reese: ‘They believed in me.’” My jaw dropped. Is this a joke? I lost it. Expletives flew out of my mouth. Geno, if they really, actually, believed in you, you would’ve started more than just ONE game for the Giants. They didn’t believe in you, you were a pawn in McA-don’t-s scheme to upset Eli Manning's consecutive start streak. I feel sorry for you, they didn’t believe in you, but Seattle does.

Packers @ Bills 17-27

I didn’t get to see Aaron Rodgers cry but it was nice to see him lose and see the Bills win. Josh Allen used to struggle in prime time but he’s definitely taken that hurdle in stride and is now killing it, every game.

Bengals @ Browns 13-32

This was a statement game for the Browns. Both teams started slow with no points scored in the first quarter but then it was Nick Chubb time. Chubb had 2 touchdowns in this win and the Browns defense didn’t let anyone score until the fourth quarter and by then it was too late for the Bengals. The Manningcast was back and because it was Halloween, Peyton and Eli had costumes. Peyton was a ref and Eli was Chad Powers. Eli’s mask was alarmingly scary and he only wore it briefly because he was hot and uncomfortable in it. Their guests were Boomer Esiason, Travis and Jason Kelce, and Brad Paisley. Boomer wasn’t entertaining, but the Kelce brothers dressed up in quarter zips to look like the Manning brothers and Brad Paisley was actually decently funny. Good entertainment for the second half of the game.

WEEK 9

Thursday, November 3rd

Eagles (6-0) @ Texans (1-4-1) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

I’m picking the Eagles and I’m not happy about it.

Sunday, November 6th

Chargers (4-3) @ Falcons (3-4) (1pm FOX)

Well, I picked up Marcus Mariota, so I don’t have to start Tom Brady, which I guess means I’m going to have to pick the Falcons to win this game.

Dolphins (4-3) @ Bears (3-4) (1pm CBS)

I also picked up the Dolphins defense this week so I’m going to have to pick the Dolphins to win this game too.

Panthers (2-5) @ Bengals (4-3) (1pm FOX)

I don’t think that the Bengals will lose two in a row. I am picking the Bengals to win but I need it to be a high scoring game because I’m starting D.J. Moore. I’m going to lose again in fantasy but I’m still going to cheer for my guys.

Packers (3-4) @ Lions (1-5)  (1pm FOX)

The Packers have lost their last 4 games. I think they’ll get their groove back in Detroit.  But if they don’t, that would be amazing. Detroit did fire one of their defensive coaches because the Lions can put up a lot of points but can’t win games. So it really wouldn’t surprise me if Green Bay did lose, though that being said, I’m picking the Packers to win.

Colts (3-3-1) @ Patriots (3-4) (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Patriots to win. I’m not sure why, but I am.

Bills (5-1) @ Jets (5-2)  (1pm CBS)

I think that the Jets are going to give the Bills a hard time and make a game out of it. But I am picking the Bills to win.

Vikings (5-1) @ Commanders (3-4)  (1pm FOX)

On paper and on the field the Vikings are the better team. Therefore, I’m picking the Vikings to win.

Raiders (2-4)  @ Jaguars (2-5) (1pm CBS)

The Raiders got shut out last week but the Jags didn’t win a single game in October. I think the Jags need it more. I’m picking the Jags to win.

Seahawks (4-3) @ Cardinals (3-4) (4:05pm FOX)

It’s time for Seattle to get knocked down a rung or two. I’m still not over last week’s game. I’m picking the Cardinals to win.

Rams (3-4) @ Buccaneers (3-5) (4:25pm CBS)

I’m picking the Bucs to win but I don’t think it’s worth me starting Tom Brady. Though I haven’t really decided yet. The Rams are super beat up, Cooper Kupp isn’t 100%, but the Bucs are just terrible. Ugh.

Titans (4-2) @ Chiefs (5-2)  (8:20pm NBC)

I’m picking the Chiefs to win. I just hope it’s a good game and that JuJu gets at least 3 touchdowns.

Monday, November 7th

Ravens (5-3) @ Saints (2-5) (8:15pm ESPN/ABC)

I’d love to see the Saints win this game but I don’t think it’s likely. I’m picking the Ravens for the win. Peyton Manning is really hoping that Justin Tucker will be a guest on the Manningcast during the game. I think that’s enough reason to watch the Manningcast.
