Regular Season Week 8

Week 7 was rough for me in the fantasy world, I lost by 76.62 points. It gets worse, if I had played 6 other teams in my league this past week I would’ve won. Oh well. I did better on my picks, going 9-5 which is way better than last week. Also THE NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS ARE 6-1!!!!!!!!!! Going into this season I was pretty sure they would only have 4 wins the entire season. I’m glad they have proved me wrong. Keep it up!

The trade deadline is quickly approaching and there have already been some big moves. Last week Christian McCaffrey was traded to the 49ers on Thursday night and James Robinson was traded from the Jags to the NY Jets Monday night. The Eagles picked up Robert Quinn from the Bears and the Cowboys picked up Johnathan Hankins from the Raiders. Just today Kadarius Toney was traded from the Giants to the Chiefs, because the one thing Kansas City doesn’t have enough of is wide receivers.

Before we get to week 7 let’s recap week 6 and all the craziness that ensued.

Saints @ Cardinals 34-42

The Cardinals showed up big and finally snapped that 8 game losing streak at home. For me and fantasy, Kamara and Hill put up 27 combined points which was a good start but the next game on my recap would end me.

Falcons @ Bengals 17-35

Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase killed me and my fantasy dreams. 73 points combined. Ouch. I don’t want to talk about it anymore.

Lions @ Cowboys 6-24

It looked like the Lions had so much potential during Hard Knocks. This just isn’t the case. Dak Prescott was back for the Cowboys and the Lions couldn’t handle it.

Colts @ Titans 10-19

The Titans won the game and led to Matt Ryan being benched by the Colts for the rest of the season. I didn’t realize that Ryan suffered an injury. I thought he was just benched for being bad.

Packers @ Commanders 21-23

Can the Packers lose three in a row?!?! YUP! I think it's now safe to say the Packers are not the Packers of yesteryear and Aaron Rodgers isn’t the magician people thought.

Buccaneers @ Panthers 3-21

This game was just plain embarrassing. The Bucs lost to the Panthers?!?! This should’ve been a week 6 game when all the games seemed to be major upsets. Though the Bucs have been struggling all year so this shouldn’t come as a shock.  In other news I’m benching Tom Brady next week. Awful. Just awful.

NY Giants @ Jaguars 23-17

The Giants win again!!!!!! Ooof this one was a nail biter. I mean, they’ve all been nail biters. But this was the most nail biting of them all so far this season. The play of the game was actually the last play of the game. The Jags were about to score a touchdown from a Trevor Lawrence pass to Christian Kirk at the one yard line and the Giants defenders stopped Kirk and pile-drove him away from the endzone as time expired. Too close for comfort but we still got the W! On top of that we did it short handed. Evan Neal, starting offensive linemen, and Daniel Bellinger, tight end, left the game in the first half due to injuries. We also lost left guard Ben Bredeson who had to be carted off. Bredeson and Neal both had knee injuries but it was Bellinger who had to be rushed to the hospital with a hand to the face and a finger to the eye socket. Wishing speedy recoveries for all!

Browns @ Ravens 20-23

The Ravens finally won a game after losing the last 3 and the Browns lost another close one.

NY Jets @ Broncos 16-9

With Russell Wilson out, the Jets had no challenge getting this win. The Jets are now 5-2 on the season. That was a weird sentence to type.

Texans @ Raiders 20-38

The Raiders, who aren’t very good to begin with,  made the already poor Texans look even worse…the end

Seahawks @ Chargers 37-23

Geno Smith is like a fine wine. He gets better with age. He’s been in the league for what seems to be an eternity and yet has only just started to know what it feels like to win. I mean, good for him. Initially he was so bad that even the Jets didn’t want him, he was a NY Giant for a hot minute only to end Eli Manning’s consecutive start streak, and now he’s winning in Seattle. Good for him.

Chiefs @ 49ers 44-23

Someone keeps telling me that the 49ers have the 3rd best defense in the league. Well not against the Chiefs, I lost 4 points starting this dumb defense. In other news, Mecole Hardman had 3 touchdowns in this rout over San Francisco.  Geez.

Steelers @  Dolphins 10-16

This game was much closer than I anticipated but I still got the pick correct so that makes me happy.

Bears @ Patriots 33-14

The Patriots did not look good. Thankfully we had Peyton and Eli to get us through the game. Peyton was so mad when the Bears had a chance to score a touchdown at the end of the game and instead kneeled. When asked why he was so upset, he said, “when you have a chance to score 40 points in Foxborough and beat the Pats, you score 40 points.”

WEEK 8

Thursday, October 27th

Ravens (4-3) @ Buccaneers (3-4) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

I’m benching Tom Terrific and I am picking the Ravens for the win.

Sunday, October 30th

Broncos (2-5) @ Jaguars (2-5) (9:30am ESPN+)

If I remember correctly the Jags are pretty good when they play in London and it just so happens they are playing in London! I’m picking the Jags to win this game.

Panthers (2-5) @ Falcons (3-4) (1pm FOX)

Who knows which team we’ll get this week? Most of the time these teams look atrocious. But, sometimes both teams surprise us. I guess I’ll pick the Panthers to win this game.

Bears (3-4) @ Cowboys (5-2) (1pm FOX)

Can the Bears win 2 games in a row? I don’t think so, therefore, I’m picking the Cowboys to win this game.

Dolphins (4-3) @ Lions (1-5)  (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Dolphins for the win. Sorry Lions fans.

Cardinals (3-4) @ Vikings (5-1) (1pm FOX)

The Vikings are coming off their bye while the Cards are coming off a huge win. I’m picking the Vikings to win this game, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the bye doesn’t help.

Raiders (2-4) @ Saints (2-5)  (1pm CBS)

When in doubt go with the home team. I said this same thing last time the Saints played at home and they lost. Well, I’m doing it again. I’m picking the Saints to win. Go Kamara!

Patriots (3-4) @ NY Jets (5-2)  (1pm CBS)

The year is 2022 and I am picking the NY Jets to beat the Patriots. This is a sentence I wouldn’t even type as a joke 5 years ago.

Steelers (2-5)  @ Eagles (6-1) (1pm CBS)

Speaking of 5 years ago, I would have picked the Steelers to beat the Eagles. Here in 2022, the Eagles are fresh off their bye week, and I’m picking the Eagles to win this game.

Titans (4-2) @ Texans (1-4-1) (4:05pm CBS)

I’m starting to feel bad for the Texans. I’m going to have to pick the Titans to win this game.

Commanders (3-4) @ Colts (3-3-1) (4:25pm FOX)

The Colts could and should win this game. But will they? They have a new quarterback so they can’t blame the loss on Matt Ryan. The Commanders are also going with a backup quarterback. I guess I’ll pick the Colts to win only because it helps the Giants more.

49ers (3-4) @ Rams (3-3) (4:25pm FOX)

I need my defense to do better this week. Therefore I am picking the 49ers to win as long as they let Matt Stafford throw to Tyler Higbee for a few touchdowns.

NY Giants (6-1) @ Seahawks (4-3) (4:25pm FOX)

The Giants are doing great this season. I just wish they didn’t have to come from behind to win games. I’d like to have the lead, maintain the lead, and then win the game. Can we try that? I’m picking the Giants to win this game. Fingers crossed.

Packers (3-4) @  Bills (5-1) (8:20pm NBC)

I’m more confident in this pick than my last pick. I’m picking the Bills to win this game. I’d like to see if the Bills can make Aaron Rodgers cry. That would be the best.

Monday, October 31st

Bengals (4-3) @ Browns (2-5) (8:15pm ESPN/ABC)

I’m picking the Bengals to win this game, but it would be nice to see the Browns win instead.

GO G-MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Week 7 '22 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October, 20 2022
Regular Season Week 7

Any. Given. Sunday. These three words echoed in my head all throughout this past Sunday afternoon. I pride myself on my picks. I’m usually well above .500. Week 6, not so much. I went 6 and 8. Ouch. I did win in fantasy though, I’m currently 4-2 in my league. Best of all the Giants are sitting pretty at 5-1. The Giants now have more wins this season that they did all last season.

Week 7 will be my “byemageddon” week in fantasy. With the Bills, Rams, Eagles, and Vikings out on bye I am scrambling, hoping, and praying for a win, or at least to not get annihilated.

Before we get to week 7 let’s recap week 6 and all the craziness that ensued.

Commanders @ Bears 12-7

It all started with Thursday night football, which this season has been a pure waste of time. Week 6 was no different in this respect. The game was horrible, sloppy and seemingly never ending. I picked the Bears to win, so of course the Commanders did. The win came with some consequences for Washington. Carson Wentz broke a finger on his throwing hand during the game and will be out the next few weeks.

49ers @ Falcons 14-28

You would think that the number 2 defense would be able to hold off the number 22 offense in the league. Nope! Not in week 6. It’s safe to say that the 49ers were embarrassed in this game and that I also got this pick wrong.

Jaguars @ Colts 27-34

Last week I said, “The Colts were shut out the last time they played the Jags. I think things will be different this time. I think the Colts will actually score points this time around. I am still picking the Jags to win the game though.” I was half right. The Colts did score some points, they just scored more than the Jags. Another wrong pick.

Patriots @ Browns 38-15

That Zappe guy is pretty good, or the Browns are that bad. The Browns were also embarrassed this week against a second string quarterback with the name Bailey. I mean, the Patriots made that game look easy to win. Oh, and guess what? I got this pick wrong too.

NY Jets @ Packers 27-10

What I said last week, “Wouldn’t it be great if the Packers lost to NY teams in back to back weeks? I don’t think it's going to happen but it would be great if it did.” It happened! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I got the pick wrong but I’m ok with it this time. Is it too soon to say that the Jets are not bad this season? They handed Green Bay their third loss of the season while gaining their fourth win! Are the Jets for real? Fun fact: this is already the third time this season that all 3 NY teams have won on the same day. I’m pretty sure that hasn’t happened before.

Vikings @ Dolphins 24-16

Guys, this is the first pick I got correct week 6 and I really thought it could go either way. The Dolphins continue to struggle without Tua and the Vikings seem to be flying under the radar with a record of 5-1.

Bengals @ Saints 30-26

Ugh. Yup. Another incorrect pick. I should’ve known that Joe Burrow hasn’t lost in this stadium his entire football career, why would he start now? Burrow and Jamar Chase seem to be best friends on and off the field connecting multiple times for first downs and two of Burrow’s three touchdowns.

Ravens @ NY Giants 20-24

I GOT THIS PICK RIGHT!!!!!!!!!! G-MEN!!!!! Shenoa fun fact: I knit left handed and crochet right handed. Both knitting and crocheting are very calming and relaxing for me.  I was so amped, nervous, and anxious during this game that I finished crocheting a baby blanket and started knitting a scarf. The mood was tense on the couch for sure. Throughout the game the announcers were stating that the Giants were the only defense in the NFL this season without an interception. Then late in the fourth quarter Julian Love intercepted Lamar Jackson. It was glorious. This set up a Saquon Barkley touchdown where he launched himself into the endzone, giving the Giants the lead. When the Ravens got the ball back they knew they would need a touchdown as a field goal wouldn’t be enough to get back the lead.  The Giants first round pick Keyvon Thibodeaux had something else in mind. He sacked Jackson forcing a fumble that Leonard Williams recovered. With a couple of first downs the Giants were able to run out the clock and win the game. It was simply amazing. And did I mention I got this pick correct? ;)

Buccaneers @ Steelers 18-20

There were multiple times the Bucs drove down inside of Pittsburgh’s redzone. Three times the drive ended in a field goal, not a touchdown. Tom was not happy about this and he let his O-line know it. Tom Brady rained down the F-bombs on his offensive line on the side lines. The Bucs had a chance to tie the game but the two point conversion was unsuccessful, mostly because of the Bucs lackluster O-line… Yeah, I got this pick wrong too.

Panthers @ Rams 10-24

Hey, hey, I actually got this pick correct. This was another fun game for the sidelines. Robbie Anderson was kicked out of the game by his coach, not a ref. I’m not really sure what happened but soon after the game the Panthers traded Anderson to the Cardinals for a draft pick. The Rams shut out the Panthers in the second half and started to look like the Rams from last season.

Cardinals @ Seahawks 9-19

Damnit! Recapping these games is painful. I didn’t get this pick right either. I don’t know what is going on with Arizona but they are horrible this year. Maybe Robbie Anderson will be able to help them in the weeks to come. It’s crazy to think that Geno Smith has more wins than Kylar Murray, but it’s true.

Bills @ Chiefs 24-20

I really thought this game would have been much higher scoring but at least I got the pick correct. Von Miller was the difference maker for the Bills, getting so much pressure on Patrick Mahomes. Josh Allen practiced his hurdling over defenders and the Bills got the win for their revenge game.

Cowboys @ Eagles 17-26

Last year I did a lot of baking on Sundays because the knitting and crocheting during Giants games wasn’t cutting it. On Monday’s I’d always bring in my baked treats to my job for my coworkers to enjoy. My Giants' misery was my coworkers' gain. With the Giants doing so well this season my coworkers have missed my goodies. I didn’t want them to start hoping for Giant losses so I thought I’d make chocolate chip cookies during Sunday night football. It seemed like everytime I poked my head in to see how the game was going Cooper Rush was getting sacked or throwing an interception. He did not have a good game against the Eagles.  I had picked the Eagles to win and they did. The Cowboys tried to make a comeback but it was too little and too late. I’m glad I didn’t watch the game, and I think my coworkers were also glad. There weren't any crumbs left from the double batch of cookies By Wednesday morning.

Broncos  @ Chargers 16-19 OT

I know I’ve mentioned that my mom is playing fantasy football this season. She had four players in this game so I wanted to stay up and cheer for her team. When the game went into overtime I was excited for her because she still needed more points but I was too tired to stay up. Justin Herbert was her quarterback and for the first time in 27 games he didn’t throw a touchdown pass. He did, however, throw an interception. Needless to say, she didn’t win and that made me sad. I hope she is still enjoying playing.

WEEK 7

Thursday, October 20th

Saints (2-4) @ Cardinals (2-4) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

I am taking some chances in week 7 in fantasy. I picked up Taysom Hill and I am starting him as my tight end this week. Yes, I am that desperate. He could get me 3 points or he could get me 30. I’m obviously hoping for the latter. I say this every week, but I also need Kamara to put up some big numbers too. With that all said the Cardinals are trying to snap an 8 home game losing streak. Will tonight be the night? Maybe? They did acquire Robbie Anderson. By the way Anderson changed the spelling from Robby to Robbie and he’s been bad ever since he went with the ie. Maybe he should change his name back to Robby, it’s a way cooler spelling if you ask me, or my brother, Robby.

I’m picking the Saints for the win, my fantasy week depends on it.

Sunday, October 23rd

Falcons (3-3) @ Bengals (3-3) (1pm FOX)

I really thought there was no chance the Falcons would win last week and then they did. It was perplexing. My opponent has Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase so, of course I want the Falcons to play like they did last week. Only, I don’t think that’s going to happen. I’m begrudgingly picking the Bengals to win this game.

Lions (1-4) @ Cowboys (4-2) (1pm CBS)

I’d love to see the Lions beat the Cowboys but I’m pretty sure Dak Prescott will be playing and so I’m going to have to pick the Cowboys to win this game.

Colts (3-2-1) @ Titans (3-2) (1pm CBS)

The Titans are coming off their bye so they should be refreshed and ready to take on the Colts. I’m picking Tennessee to win this game.

Packers (3-3) @ Commanders (2-4)  (1pm CBS)

Can the Packers lose three in a row?!?! Probably not. I’m picking the Packers to win this game. The Commanders will be without Carson Wentz so Taylor Heinicke will get the start.

Buccaneers (3-2) @ Panthers (1-5) (1pm FOX)

Man. I hope Tom Brady got through to his O-line last week. He’s my fantasy quarterback and I need him to do better, therefore I need his O-line to do better. I’d like him to throw to Godwin all afternoon. I’m picking the Bucs to finally bounce back and win the game.

NY Giants (5-1) @ Jaguars (2-4)  (1pm FOX)

Can you believe that the Giants are not favored going into this game?!?! According to ESPN analytics the Jags have a 73.1% chance of winning. Ugh. Well I like it when the Giants are underdogs. Bring it.  It’s no surprise, I’m picking the Giants to win this game. I’ve got my knitting needles and yarn all ready. GO G-MEN!

Browns (2-4) @ Ravens (3-3)  (1pm CBS)

I think that the Ravens will have a bounce back game while the Browns will not. I’m picking the Ravens for the win.

NY Jets (4-2)  @ Broncos (2-4) (4:05pm CBS)

Russell Wilson is day to day with an injury and the Jets are playing great football. I'm picking the J-E-T-S to win this game.

Texans (1-3-1) @ Raiders (1-4) (4:05pm CBS)

Both teams are terrible and both teams are coming off their bye week. I guess I’ll pick the Raiders.

Seahawks (3-3) @ Chargers (4-2) (4:25pm FOX)

I’m going to go ahead and pick the Chargers to win this game for no other reason than they are the home team. Because that works out so well for me…

Chiefs (4-2) @ 49ers (3-3) (4:25pm FOX)

I need the 49ers defense to do much better than they did last week. I know it’s a tall order. I know the Chiefs will win this game, and I’m picking them to do so. I'm just hoping that the 49ers D doesn’t get negative points.

Steelers (2-4) @  Dolphins (3-3) (8:20pm NBC)

Brian Flores, now with the Steelers, will face the Dolphins on Sunday night for the first time since he left the organization. It should be interesting to see if his coaching can help the Steelers and hinder the Dolphins. Tua should be starting for Miami so I’m picking the Dolphins to win this game.

Monday, October 24th

Bears (2-4) @ Patriots (3-3) (8:15pm ESPN/ABC)

The Manningcast is back for this game so even if the game is awful, and it might just be awful just because the Bears are playing, at least we’ll be entertained. Regardless, I’m picking the Patriots to win this game.

GO G-MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Week 6 '22 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October, 13 2022
Regular Season Week 6

Week 5 was a great week for me. I went 12-4 in my picks, I won in fantasy, and the NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS are 4-1. Byes start this week. The Lions, Titans, Texans, and Raiders all have the week off. Before we get to week 6 let’s recap week 5.

Colts @ Broncos 12-9 OT

This was the worst game ever. It was terrible to watch. It was a combination of turnovers, sloppiness, and three and outs.  I’m not going to lie, I went to bed in the fourth quarter and was surprised that it had gone into overtime. I have nothing more to report on this.

NY Giants @ Packers 27-22

I set my alarm so that I wouldn’t miss any of this game and I’m glad I did. You guys, the Giants beat the Packers! We are still undefeated in London! The G-Men were major underdogs, coming into the game with a quarterback with a sprained ankle, basically no wide receivers, playing against the highest paid quarterback in the NFL. No worries though. The defense held Green Bay to just 2 points in the second half while NY scored 17 unanswered points. The Packers had a chance to comeback after the Giants' sacrificial safety but the defense sacked Rodgers, who fumbled as the clock ran out to give the Giants the win. The Giants now have as many wins this season as they did the entire season last year.

Steelers @ Bills 3-38

I’d like to thank Gabe Davis for his incredible performance for my fantasy team. His 3 catches, 171 yards, and his 2 touchdowns gave me 32 points! The Bills made a spectacle out of the Steelers. Josh Allen was unstoppable for the Bills offense. He had 4 passing touchdowns and led the team in rushing as well.

Chargers @ Browns 30-28

Well the Chargers didn’t stop Nick Chubb, who had 2 rushing touchdowns and over 130 rushing yards but they did stop the rest of the Browns enough to win the game, just barely.

Texans @ Jaguars 13-6

The Jags have been playing so well that I thought this would be a sure win for them. Obviously I was wrong. It was a game of field goals until late in the 4th when the Texans finally got a touchdown and the W, their first win of the season.

Bears @ Vikings 22-29

Dalvin Cook had a brilliant game! Finally!  Cook had 18 carries, for 94 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. I guess I won’t drop him from my fantasy team. Woot!

Lions @ Patriots 0-29

The Patriots wore their throwback uniforms and it must have been really good luck for them as they shut out the Lions at home. Bailey Zappe started again for the Patriots and led the team to victory.

Seahawks @ Saints 32-39

You know who I don’t like? Taysom Hill. You know why? Because he took away all of Alvin Kamara’s touchdowns. Kamara is supposed to be the face of the Saints not Hill. That’s really all I have to say about that.

Dolphins @ NY Jets 17-40

Teddy Bridgewater was knocked out of the game on the Dolphins first offensive play of the game ending in a safety and 2 points for the Jets.  NY’s defense took advantage of going up against third string quarterback Skylar Thomson, while their offense ran all over the Dolphins defense. All of the Jets 5 touchdowns were rushing.

Falcons @ Buccaneers 15-21

Tom Brady hasn’t lost 3 consecutive games in 20 years and he wasn’t about to go down 3 again. Brady had over 350 passing yards and a touchdown in this win over the Falcons. Leonard Fournette accounted for the receiving touchdown and also had a rushing touchdown.

Titans @ Commanders 21-17

It was a Carson Wentz interception at the end of the game that gave the Titans the win, and I’m not mad about it.

49ers @ Panthers 37-15

The Panthers fired their head coach, Matt Rhule, after this loss. They’ve also lost Baker Mayfield for a couple of weeks as he was seen in a walking boot after the game. It was an ugly game but I am glad that I picked up the 49ers defense in fantasy!

Eagles @ Cardinals 20-17

The Eagles are still the only undefeated team in the NFL. That’s all I have to say about that.

Cowboys @ Rams 22-10

Sometimes I don’t like when I get the pick right. I picked the Cowboys to win, even though I don’t like them, but it was somewhat selfish. As you know my opponent had Cooper Kupp and the Cowboys defense held him to just one touchdown, which is pretty good, for the Cowboys.

 Bengals @ Ravens 17-19

Ravens kicker Justin Tucker was the MVP of this game, with 4 field goals he sealed the win for Baltimore. Even Bengals kicker Evan McPherson was impressed with Tucker's foot.

Raiders @ Chiefs 29-30

The Raiders had a chance to send the game into overtime but instead of kicking the extra point, head coach Josh McDaniels had his team go for the 2 point conversion and Josh Jacobs got stuffed right before the goal line.  I was just happy that Darren Waller, my opponent’s tight end, who was my tight end last year, left the game early without scoring any fantasy points. He was projected to get 10 points. I won by 10 points. So thank you Waller for being the same tight end as you were last year.

WEEK 6

Thursday, October 12th

Commanders (1-4) @ Bears (2-3) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

When in doubt go with the home team. I’m picking the Bears to win.

Sunday, October 16th

49ers (3-2) @ Falcons (2-3) (1pm FOX)

I’m sticking with the 49ers defense in fantasy therefore I’m expecting them to play well. I’m picking the 49ers to win this game.

Jaguars (2-3) @ Colts (2-2-1) (1pm CBS)

The Colts were shut out the last time they played the Jags. I think things will be different this time. I think the Colts will actually score points this time around. I am still picking the Jags to win the game though.

Patriots (2-3) @ Browns (2-3) (1pm CBS)

The Browns have only won one home game this season and the Patriots have only won one away game this season. I’m picking the Browns to win this game.

NY Jets (3-2) @ Packers (3-2)  (1pm CBS)

Wouldn’t it be great if the Packers lost to NY teams in back to back weeks? I don’t think it's going to happen but it would be great if it did. I’m picking the Packers to win this game. Aaron Rodgers is said to have a thumb injury but I don’t think it’ll keep him out of the game.

Vikings (4-1) @ Dolphins (3-2) (1pm FOX)

The Dolphins are so banged up right now I don’t think they’d win the battle of getting out of a wet paper bag. I’m picking the Vikings to win this game.

Bengals (2-3) @ Saints (2-3)  (1pm CBS)

Oh, I don’t know. Both teams are better than they are actually playing. Two seasons ago I would have totally picked the Saints and not blinked an eye. This season, I hesitate to pick either team to actually win a game. I guess, for old times sake, I’m going to pick the Saints and hope and pray that it’s Kamara not Hill that sees the end zone multiple times.

Ravens (3-2) @ NY Giants (4-1)  (1pm CBS)

Call me crazy, but I’m picking the Giants to win this game. Hear me out. Our defensive coordinator, Wink Martindale, was with the Ravens from 2012-20. He knows the system. Also, Daboll is pretty gutsy and will come up with some off the wall plays. Our players are getting healthy and ready for this week’s challenge. GO G-MEN!!!!

Buccaneers (3-2)  @ Steelers (1-4) (1pm FOX)

I’m picking the Bucs to win this game. The Steelers are definitely not the contender they were in years past.

Panthers (1-4) @ Rams (2-3) (4:05pm FOX)

The Panthers really have no hope. I’m picking the Rams to win this game.

 Cardinals (2-3) @ Seahawks (2-3) (4:05pm FOX)

I really think that the Seahawks have gotten tremendously lucky in their wins this season while the Cardinals have lost some close ones. I’m picking the Cardinals to win this matchup.

Bills (4-1) @ Chiefs (4-1) (4:25pm CBS)

The Chiefs are the underdogs at home for the first time in years. And rightfully so in my opinion. I’m picking the Bills to win this game and I’d like another stellar Gabe Davis performance please and thank you.

Cowboys (4-1) @  Eagles (5-0) (8:20pm NBC)

Really, I’d just like this game to end in a tie. If not a tie then a Cowboys win. But I’m picking the Eagles to win this game and hoping for a tie…

Monday, October 17th

Broncos (2-3) @ Chargers (3-2) (8:15pm ESPN/ABC)

Oh. Yay. Another Broncos game in primetime. Wait. Russell Wilson was supposed to make the Broncos better, he hasn’t even made them watchable. I’m picking the Chargers to win this game.

GO G-MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Week 5 '22 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October, 6 2022
Regular Season Week 5

I lost to my partner in fantasy this week, ouch. I went 9-7 on my picks, ehhh. The NY Football Giants are 3-1 on the season, woot!

Dolphins @ Bengals 15-27

The Dolphins are in a bit of hot water. You see, they started Tua Tagovailoa again after the “leg/back” injury that everyone knew was a head injury last week. Tua got hit HARD in the first half and was carted off the field all strapped down. So serious that not even his teammates were allowed around him after the hit. He was rushed to the hospital with apparent head and neck injuries. Thankfully, he had full movement of his extremities and was later released even though he had sustained another concussion. The Dolphins fell apart without Tua in the second half and the Bengals were able to win the game without any problems.

Vikings @ Saints 28-25

I have learned that when you have fantasy players in the London game it's a good idea to set an alarm to make sure your players are active ahead of kick off. I learned this the hard way. Kickoff for this game was at 9:30am Sunday morning. I woke up at 9:32am. I had Kamara in my starting lineup. Kamara didn’t play in this game. The Saints lost the game without him and I lost in fantasy because of him. I also started Dalvin Cook, who was mediocre at best. RBs are garbage this season (except for Saquon, he’s absolutely amazing). The Saints had a chance to win the game with a Wil Lutz 60-yard field goal but the ball hit the upright and bounced out as time expired giving the Vikings the win.

Browns @ Falcons 20-23

I am pretty shocked that the Browns lost this game. Unfortunately they just got out played by the Falcons, which is a sentence I never thought I’d type. Like I said, I didn’t do well on my picks this week. This is one of the many I got wrong.

Bills  @ Ravens 23-20

The Bills pulled off one of their biggest comebacks in over a decade. Coming back to be down by 10 points heading into half time the Bills defense really stepped up in the second half, shutting out Baltimore completely. Bills kicker Tyler Bass made a 21-yard field goal as time expired to bring the Bills to 3-1 on the season.

Commanders @ Cowboys 10-25

Backup quarterback Cooper Rush is the first Dallas quarterback in Cowboys history to start  4-0. That’s really all I have to say about this game.

Seahawks @ Lions 48-45

I feel like this game is the first true shootout of the season. Geno Smith and Rashaad Penny were so good for the Seahawks that Seattle never needed to punt, so their punter got the night off. The Lions’ comeback hopes ended when Seattle recovered the onside kick and the ball stayed with the Seahawks for the rest of the game.

Chargers @ Texans 34-24

Austin Ekeler accounted for 3 of the 4 Chargers touchdowns in their win over the Texans. OK, so not all running backs are crap.

Titans @ Colts 24-17

Speaking of running backs, Derrick Henry seemed to have gotten his groove back. Henry rushed for over 100 yards and had a touchdown as well in this win over the Colts. The Titans also held Jonathon Taylor to just 42 yards. The Titans looked good for the first time this season as the Colts continue to struggle.

Bears  @ NY Giants 12-20

Never, would I have ever believed you if you’d told me last season that the Giants would start this season at 3-1. But here we are. This wasn’t a pretty game. And when Danny went out with an ankle injury and then Tyrod Taylor went out with a concussion I thought to myself, welp it was good while it lasted. Danny was on fire, not so much passing, but rushed for not one but two touchdowns in this win over the Bears. Saquon Barkley had over 140 yards rushing, because he’s a beast, duh. And the Giants defense stepped up when it mattered and kept the Bears out of the endzone the entire game. It was a fun, yet stressful game to watch. GO G-MEN!

Jaguars @ Eagles 21-29

I was so excited when the Jags started this game up two touchdowns heading into the second quarter. I knew it wouldn’t last but it was really fun to watch until the Eagles came back. I knew it was a long shot that the Jags could beat the Eagles but they did put up a good fight.

NY Jets @ Steelers 24-20

This is another game that was shocking to me. The Steelers started their rookie quarterback, Kenny Pickett, probably thinking it was a sure win against the Jets… Pickett was picked off three times and had no passing touchdowns in his starting debut. Zach Wilson is back for the Jets and even though he also threw a couple of picks he had a touchdown and helped his team to another W.

Cardinals @ Panthers 26-16

Baker Mayfield has gone from bad to worse and so has the entire Panthers team. I feel sorry for the guy, really I do. I rooted for him while he was on the Browns but it’s hard to root for him now, he’s so bad. But at least I got this pick correct.

Patriots @ Packers 24-27 OT

This game shouldn’t have been that close to begin with to even go into overtime. How embarrassing for the Packers. I mean the Packers were up against a third string quarterback who’s name is Bailey Zappe… And only won the game in overtime.

Broncos  @ Raiders 23-32

The Raiders finally won a game this season. It wasn’t pretty but they finally got it done. I feel bad for Russell Wilson. He accounted for all the Denver touchdowns in this loss to Las Vegas while Carr didn’t have any and still won.

Chiefs @ Buccaneers 41-31

Oh man the Bucs couldn’t get the win for their state but Tom Brady did put up some points for me in fantasy. Maybe if I’d started Godwin over Gabe Davis I might have won this week. Oh well. But seriously, if you have some extra cash, a donation to those affected by hurricane Ian would be solid.

Rams @ SF 49ers 9-24

The real reason I lost fantasy football this week, against my partner, was because of Deebo Samuel. If he wasn’t a dominant part of this game I probably would’ve won. After Deebo scored a touchdown I knew it was over for me and, quite honestly, over for the Rams as well. The best part of this game, and every Monday Night Football game, was the Manningcast. It’s not everyday that you get to see a former roommate just having a casual conversation with the Mannings. I was a little bummed that my name didn’t come up as I remember telling Stephen that if he ever meets a Manning he has to tell them I said hello and I’m a fan.

WEEK 5

Thursday, October 6th

Colts (1-2-1) @ Broncos (2-2) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

Call me crazy, but I think that the Broncos might just win this game. Hear me out, Jonathan Taylor isn’t playing and that’s basically the whole Colts team. Also Russell Wilson is way better than Matt Ryan. I’m picking the Broncos to win.

Sunday, October 9th

NY Giants (3-1) @ Packers (3-1) (9:30am NFLN)

We’ve got another London game. Fun facts: The Giants are undefeated across the pond, this will be their third game while this will be the Packers first appearance. The Packers are favored, of course, but things can go sideways on another continent. The Giants are going to try to go with Danny Jones who seems to be making progress after getting injured last week.  I’m just hoping  Saquon will have a really good game. In other Giants news they just signed safety Landon Collins back to the roster and he’ll make the trip to London. I think the Giants can win, in fact I know they can win, but will they? I’ll be rooting for them, but I’m going to pick the Packers to win and hope that I’m wrong.

Steelers (1-3) @ Bills (3-1) (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Bills to win this game. The real fun will be to see how many picks Pickett throws this week.

Chargers (2-2) @ Browns (2-2) (1pm CBS)

I really need the Chargers to stop Nick Chubb. The Chargers don’t need to win, they just need to contain the aforementioned running back. What the heck, I’m picking the Chargers to win.

Texans (0-3-1) @ Jaguars (2-2)  (1pm CBS)

I'm picking the Jags to win this game. I don’t think that the Texans have what it takes.

Bears (2-2) @ Vikings (3-1) (1pm FOX)

Dalvin Cook needs to have a brilliant game. I’m picking the Vikings to win.

 Lions (1-3) @ Patriots (1-3)  (1pm FOX)

The Lions have played a lot of close games this season. They are pretty banged up but so are the Patriots. It looks like Bailey Zappe is going to get the start again for the Patriots and he almost beat the Packers last week… I think I’m going to pick the Lions to lose another really close game.

Seahawks (2-2) @ Saints (1-3)  (1pm FOX)

The Saints need to bounce back in the worst way. And when I say the Saints I mostly mean Alvin Kamara. I’m picking the Saints to win this game.

Dolphins (3-1)  @ NY Jets (2-2) (1pm CBS)

The Dolphins will be without Tua this week so Teddy Bridgewater will get the start. I’d like to see the Jets win this game but I’m going to pick the Dolphins for the W.

Falcons (2-2) @ Buccaneers (2-2) (1pm FOX)

I’m tired of picking the Bucs and having them lose. I’m going to do it again with hopes of a different outcome this time. I’m picking the Bucs to win this game.

Titans (2-2) @ Commanders (1-3) (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Titans to win the game. My opponent has McLaurin on his team so I hope he doesn’t catch a pass in this loss. I’m not bitter, my opponent has 3 of my players from last season, I have zero. I loved my team last year. This year, not so much. Anyway…

49ers (2-2) @ Panthers (1-3) (4:05pm CBS)

The Panthers look rough. I’m picking the 49ers to win this game.

Eagles (4-0) @ Cardinals (2-2) (4:25pm FOX)

Another angry birds game. I’ll be rooting for and hoping for a Cards win, but I’m picking the Eagles to actually win because I don’t like it when I don’t do well on picks.

Cowboys (3-1) @ Rams (2-2) (4:25pm FOX)

My opponent has Cooper Kupp so I hope the Cowboys defense plays double coverage on #10 the entire game. That will free up my tight end Tyler Higbee to catch all the passes. Also, I’m picking the Cowboys to win this game, though I’d be quite happy if they lost.

Bengals (2-2) @ Ravens (2-2) (8:20pm NBC)

I’m picking the Ravens to win this game. I think it’ll be a shoot out but I think that the Ravens will come out on top.

Monday, October 10th

Raiders (1-3) @ Chiefs (3-1) (8:15pm ESPN/ABC)

My opponent has Patrick Mahomes. Somehow I think this week is going to end badly again for me in fantasy … I’m picking the Chiefs to win.

GO G-MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the edit Eric!
