Regular Season Week 12

I hope everyone had a safe, happy Thanksgiving. Of course I’ve waited till the last possible minute to write this report so, spoiler alert, it’s going to be much shorter.

Here’s the recap of week 11.

Patriots @ Falcons 25-0

Not only did Jakobi Myers not score a touchdown, my opponent had the Patriots defense and racked up 26 points. My fantasy week was over before it even started.

Colts @ Bills 41-15

I’m not sure what’s happening to the Bills but it’s killing me in fantasy. Emmanuel Sanders and Zach Moss did nothing to help my team turn around. In other news Jonathan Taylor had 5 touchdowns and 53 fantasy points. Disgusting.

Ravens @ Bears 16-13

Lamar Jackson was out for this game, but it still wasn’t enough to get the Bears the win. So close Chicago.

Lions @ Browns 10-13

The Browns are still struggling so, thankfully they were playing the Lions. Nick Chubb was back for this game, and although he didn’t get a touchdown he had over 100 rushing yards.

Texans @ Titans 22-13

The shocker of all shockers, the Texans beat the Titans in the rain. Obviously I got this pick wrong, like everyone else...

 Packers @ Vikings 31-34

I got this pick wrong too! I still can’t believe the Vikings beat the Packers.

Dolphins @ Jets 24-17

The Jets are just awful. The Dolphins, slightly less awful, so they got the win.

Saints @ Eagles 29-40

This was an ugly game for the Saints. Ugly, ugly, ugly. In other news, I don’t like it when the Eagles win. I got this pick wrong.

Washington @ Panthers 27-21

Cam Newton started, and played a really good game, but it wasn’t enough to get the win. The outcome shocked me as well.

49ers @ Jaguars  30-10

Hey, hey, the Jags are still horrible and the 49ers have found success in using Deebo Sammuel as a running back on top of a wide receiver. That’s good news for his fantasy owners, more touches for Sammuel.

Bengals @ Raiders 32-13

It’s so frustrating in fantasy football when you have starting players on a bad team. I’m looking at you Raiders. I started Derek Carr and Darren Waller in this game thinking it would be a good matchup against the Bengals. WRONG. The Raiders suck. I lost in fantasy, and I got this pick wrong.

Cowboys @ Chiefs 9-19

Yay! I got a pick correct and the Cowboys lost! The Chiefs are finally starting to look good, well, better.

Cardinals @ Seahawks 23-13

D-Hop and Murray did not play, but somehow the Cardinals still got the win. Meanwhile, the Seahawks and the Giants have the same record. What?!?!

Steelers @ Chargers 37-41

Holy, lots of points in this game, Batman! Najee Harris is the Steelers whole team, and he did all he could do, but it wasn’t enough to get the win. #sorrynotsorry.

NY Giants @ Buccaneers 10-30

Thank god for the Manning Cast, otherwise this game was unwatchable. Poor Eli, having to watch his team bomb on national television for the second time on a Monday night game. I really feel for him. Because this game was absolute garbage I’ll cover the Manning cast. Bill Parcells, Kevin Hart, Condoleezza Rice, and Julian Edelman were the guests and each of them had great things to say. Parcells handled his time well, bringing up the fact that if Peyton had declared to enter the draft just one year earlier, he would’ve still gone first, but to the Jets, who Parcells was the head coach. Parcells blames Peyton for not going early and ruining the lives of Jets fans for decades. Kevin Hart was next and he had a lot of not so nice things to say about the Giants as he is an Eagles fan. Eli didn’t let that slide, saying that Kevin was his good luck charm for the Giants. The Giants scored their only touchdown of the game while Hart was the guest, so I guess Eli was right with the whole good luck charm. Condoleezza Rice was the third quarter guest and she was very impressive with her football knowledge. I also learned that she was a person of interest in the Cleveland Browns head coach position in 2018. Julian Edelman was the saving grace of the cast, as the game had gotten so out of hand that there was a needed distraction from the game. Jules talked about Tom Brady and poked fun at him and Gronk doing a voice over like he was a part of  Mystery Science Theater 3000. We learned that Brady calls everyone “babe.”

WEEK 13

Thursday, November 25th

Bears (3-7) @ Lions (0-9-1) (12:30pm FOX)

Well, I picked the Lions so of course the Bears won in the last seconds of the game.

Raiders (5-5) @ Cowboys (7-3) (4:30pm CBS)

I picked the Cowboys to win so of course the Raiders won in overtime, without Darren Waller, who left the game in the first half with a knee injury.

Bills  (6-4) @ Saints (5-5) (8:20pm NBC)

I picked the Bills to win, and they pulled it out without the help of Emmanuel Sanders, and that killed me in fantasy.

Sunday, November 28th

Steelers (5-4-1) @ Bengals (6-4) (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Bengals to win this game.

Jets (2-8) @ Texans (2-8) (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Texans to win this game.

Buccaneers (7-3) @ Colts (5-5) (1pm FOX)

I’m picking the Bucs to win this game, all they have to do is stop Jonathon Taylor. Good luck Bucs. Go Fournette!

Falcons (4-6)  @ Jaguars (2-8) (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Falcons to win this game, but I won’t be surprised if the Jags win at home.

Panthers (5-6) @ Dolphins (4-7) (1pm FOX)

I’m picking the Panthers to win, though like I just said in the last pick, I won’t be surprised if I’m wrong.

Titans (8-3) @ Patriots (7-4) (1pm CBS)

The Titans are struggling with a mediocre QB and no Derrick Henry. I’m picking the Pats to win this game.

Eagles (5-6) @ NY Giants (3-7) (1pm FOX)

This game is going to suck. NY Giants offensive coordinator, Jason Garrett, was fired last week so Freddie Kitchens will be taking his place. I don’t think it’s going to help the Giants win this game, but I can hope.  I hate the Eagles. I’m picking the Giants to lose this game, but I will be wearing my Michael Strahan jersey because they are retiring it today during halftime. GO GMEN!

Chargers (6-4) @ Broncos (5-5) (4:05pm CBS)

I’m going to pick the Chargers to win this game, I don’t have a good reason why though.

Rams (7-3) @ Packers (8-3) (4:25pm FOX)

Ugh, I need the Rams to have a really good game, I’m looking at you Cooper Kupp and OBJ. I’m going to pick the Packers to win, only because they rarely lose at home. But I do hope and think it’ll be a close game.

Vikings (5-5) @ 49ers (5-5) (4:25pm FOX)

My fantasy football quarterback role has been lacking since Kyler Murray hasn’t started. I’ve started Danny Jones and Derek Carr in his place. They’ve both sucked, so this week I’m going with Kirk Cousins. It hurts me to say this. I need the Vikings to have a very good game. With that said, I’m picking the 49ers to win.

Browns (6-5) @ Ravens (7-3) (8:20pm NBC)

I’d love to see the Browns beat the Ravens, but it’s not likely. I’m picking the Ravens to win this game but I’ll be rooting for Nick Chubb and the Browns.

Monday, November 29th

Seahawks (3-7) @ Washington (4-6) (8:15pm ESPN)

I still can’t believe that the Seahawks only have 3 wins. I think they’ll bounce back and beat the Football Team. Also, no Manning cast, so good luck getting through this game.

BYE WEEK: Chiefs, Cardinals

Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone reading this has a safe, happy, healthy Thanksgiving. I am thankful that last week is over. I lost in fantasy, got knocked out of first place, the Giants lost, and my picks weren’t great either, 8-6. But seriously, I’m thankful to be able to gather with family this year, without masks, as we are all fully vaccinated!!! For added fun, my fantasy league will all be together today, except for two.

I am only going to focus on the Thanksgiving Day games in this report and will do the recap and rest of my picks later in the week.

The NFL has had games on Thanksgiving Day since 1920. The Lions have hosted a game on Thanksgiving since 1934 and the Cowboys have hosted a game since 1966 with two exceptions, 1975 & 1977, (why I don’t know, I didn’t take the time to read the whole Wikipedia page). A third game was added in 2006, but there are no fixed teams hosting that game. The Lions all-time record on Thanksgiving Day is 37-42-2. The Cowboys all-time record is 31-21.

WEEK 13

Thursday, November 25th

Bears (3-7) @ Lions (0-9-1) (12:30pm FOX)

I almost always pick the Lions to win on Thanksgiving and I’m almost always wrong. But in the name of tradition, I am picking the Lions to win. Like I said last week, and will continue to say until they win, this is basically their Super Bowl.

The Bears are starting Andy Dalton over Justin Fields, so that’ll be fun to watch. The Lions are hoping that Jared Goff will be back under center but if he can’t go, backup Tim Boyle might have to play, which is very bad news for the winless Lions.

Raiders (5-5) @ Cowboys (7-3) (4:30pm CBS)

Man, I just hope this is a good game. I need Darren Waller to have a stellar game, because fantasy. The Cowboys will be without Amari Cooper for this game because he tested positive for COVID-19. With that said, I’m still picking the Cowboys to win but I wouldn’t be upset if I was wrong.

Bills (6-4) @ Saints (5-5) (8:20pm NBC)

The Bills have not looked good for the last few weeks. I’m kind of afraid to pick them. I really need Emmanual Sanders to be involved in the game, unlike last week. The Bills have a chance with Alvin Kamara out for the Saints for the third straight week. I’m picking the Bills to win.

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

The Shenoa Report Week 11 '21 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report

November, 18 2021

Regular Season Week 11

You guys, Week 10 was really weird. The saying, “On any given day, any given team can win” comes to mind. I couldn’t believe it: the Dolphins beat the Ravens, the Patriots beat the Browns, the Packers shut out the Seahawks, the Football Team had their way with the Buccaneers, the Steelers and Lions ended in an overtime tie, the Panthers beat the Cardinals,  and the 49ers beat the Rams. Let’s just say I did NOT do well on my picks. This was the first week I had a losing record going 6-7-1. I did win in fantasy, and I am solely in first place in my league, at 8-2.

With Thanksgiving around the corner and COVID-19 cases rising nationally,  regulations for the league are getting more strict. They include: mandatory testing for all players and staff the Monday and Wednesday after the holiday and mandatory mask-wearing for all players and staff while inside club facilities from Nov. 25 through Dec. 1. There are also new requirements for surveillance cameras in team facilities for the purpose of enforcing COVID-19 protocols. In other news, the NFL and NFLPA have launched a voluntary study of COVID-19 antibody levels among vaccinated players and staff to get a better idea of whether immunity is waning. The results could inform a booster shot protocol later in the season, but for now the league is telling clubs to follow state and local guidelines on booster shots.

Here’s the recap of week 10.

Ravens @ Dolphins 10-22

This game was unbelievable. The Dolphins beat the Ravens? What?! What made it even worse for the Ravens was losing to the Dolphins backup quarterback, who had a fractured finger on his throwing hand. The Dolphins defense was the real star of the game. They picked off Lamar Jackson once and recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown. The Ravens clearly had an off night and the Dolphins had one of their best.

Falcons @ Cowboys 3-43

I sure am glad I started the Cowboys defense for this game. Holy moly did they do a great job! They had a touchdown, three interceptions, a blocked kick and only 3 points allowed. That’s really all I have to say about this game.

Saints  @ Titans 21-23

It amazes me that the Titans are still winning without Derrick Henry. I mean, I’m happy for them, but I still miss King Henry. Their defense has really stepped up recently and they capitalized on the Saints playing their backup QB Trevor Simmeons, and not having Alvin Kamara in the lineup. In other news, the Saints are really struggling without Kamara, and a star quarterback.

Jaguars @ Colts 17-23

Jonathan Taylor is the only reason the Colts are winning at all this year. He is a beast. This week he had 21 carries, 116 rushing yards, and a touchdown. To put it in comparison, the Jags top rusher only had 3 carries, 79 yards, and a touchdown.

Browns @ Patriots 7-45

Jakobi Meyers scored the last touchdown of the game (the first of his career in the NFL) and most of his team met him in the endzone to celebrate! It was pretty great to see. He was so frickin due! The Patriots annihilated the Browns, I mean, Mac Jones looked like Tom Brady, and had just as many throwing options. Jones had 3 passing touchdowns and rookie Rhamondre Stevenson had two rushing touchdowns. The Patriots had a glorious day. The Browns, not so much. Everyone on the Browns seems to have an injury, or illness.

Bills @ Jets 45-17

The Bills beat down the Jets and only let them get into the endzone in garbage time. The Bills defense picked off Mike White 4 times during the game, before he was benched and Joe Flacco came in as the backup. It was really ugly if you are a Jets fan, do they even exist? The Bills fans were happy after a humiliating loss the week before.

Lions @ Steelers 16-16 OT

No one wanted to win this game and it was evident after an overtime that was as sloppy as the rest of the regular time. Big Ben was out because he tested positive from COVID-19 and his backup Mason Rudolph was just awful. The Lions looked good, for the Lions, but the weather was not their friend. It was a sloppy mess of a game and even the announcers voiced that they wanted it to just be over.

Buccaneers @ Washington 19-29

The Bucs did not benefit from their bye week. This game was another shocker to me. Tom Brady was picked off twice in his first 6 passes and never really came back from it. Washington’s  kicker Joey Slye seemed to be the star of the day with 3 field goals made. The Football Team lost Chase Young in the first half of the game due to a knee injury, he'll be out for the rest of the season. It was an unlikely win for the Football Team and I don’t think they should get used to it.

Panthers @ Cardinals 34-10

Cam Newton is baaaaaaaack! Which is what he proclaimed after his first touchdown of the game. He was only in for a handful of plays and had two TDs on the day. Cam also took the spotlight and touchdowns away from CMC even though McCaffrey had 95 rushing yards and 66 receiving yards. He’s a beast. I didn’t think the Panthers would win this game after the Cardinals played so well last week without Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins. Arizona was still without their stars and James Conner was the only guy to score a TD for the Cards. I was glad for the Connor touchdown but not glad I got this pick wrong!

Vikings @ Chargers 27-20

No surprise, I got this pick wrong too. I refuse to believe that Kirk Cousins is anything better than mediocre. And it’s that type of thinking that kicked my butt, but I’m going to stick with it. The Vikings got lucky.

Eagles @ Broncos 30-13

I don’t like it when the Eagles win, it puts me in a bad mood. To make matters worse, all the teams in the NFC East won on the Giants bye week. It’s just not fair. Booooo.

Seahawks @ Packers 0-17

Russell Wilson was shut out for the first time in his NFL career. Ouch. I got this pick wrong as well. I really thought the Seahawks would win this game. I guess I’ve learned my lesson, never pick against an Aaron Rodgers led Packers team.

Chiefs @ Raiders 41-14

I had to start Derek Carr as my quarterback, and he didn’t even throw a touchdown pass  to Darren Waller. Well, he did, but it was called back because of a stupid penalty. Oh well, I still won in fantasy despite Carr and Waller, and I got this pick right. The Chiefs finally looked like the Chiefs of yesteryear. Thank god. I mean, it was nice to pick the Chiefs and actually get the pick correct. Yay!

Rams @ 49ers 10-31

You may have heard about the Madden Curse but apparently there is also a Manning Curse for active players who guest on MNF with the Mannings. Lebron James, Travis Kelce, Gronk, Russel Wilson, Tom Brady, Matt Stafford, and Josh Allen have either been injured or lost a game after being on the show. This week the Mannings had Al Michaels,  “Lefty” Phil Mickelson, Draymond Green, and Philip Rivers.  Lefty said he wouldn’t be playing golf this week because of the curse, just to make sure he didn’t lose. When my favorite Golden State Warrior was on he had started to swear but caught himself. Eli assured Green it’s ok to swear, so Green said something to the extent of kicking their ass.  Eli said, “You can curse or you can be cursed. He chose to curse and I think that’s going to work out just fine for you Draymond.'' Peyton even said to Draymond, “Please beat the Nets tomorrow so we can stop talking about this.” Spoiler, they did!  Draymond also seemed to be on Eli’s side as he dropped this bomb when asked how he could get under Peyton’s skin, "I'd tell Peyton, as great as you're supposed to be, the Colts cut you." Ruthless, and that’s why I love #23. Anyway, back to the actual game.  Ugh. I was 14 points down heading into this game and I had Cooper Kupp left to play. In any normal game I would’ve had those points in the first quarter. But, for some reason, the Rams decided not to play their pass game and stunk up the field! I didn’t get enough points to win in fantasy until the 4th quarter! It was excruciating. OBJ made his debut with the Rams but, like I said before the pass game was pretty much nonexistent till they were already down too much to come back. I got the pick wrong, but I won in fantasy and got to see the Mannings and Draymond, so I call Monday night a win.

WEEK 12

Thursday, November 18th

Patriots (6-4) @ Falcons (4-5) (8:20pm FOX/NFL)

The Patriots have won four in a row and I think they will have their 5th tonight. I am picking the Pats to win this game and I’m really hoping that Jakobi Myers has his second touchdown of the season, but I need the Falcons to contain Hunter Henry because, fantasy.

Sunday, November 21st

Colts (5-5) @ Bills (6-3) (1pm CBS)

Ugh, my opponent this week in fantasy has Josh Allen and Deven Singletary. I hope that the Colts can pick off Allen a few times but still let him throw to Emmanual Sanders as well as Zach Moss. Regardless of fantasy, I’m picking the Bills to win this game.

Ravens  (6-3) @ Bears (3-6) (1pm CBS)

There are also fantasy implications for this game. My opponent has Mark Andrews and Justin Tucker, so I need the Bears defense to shut down the tight end game and not let the Ravens settle for field goals either. I know it’s a tall order. I think it would be amazing if the Bears beat the Ravens but I don’t think that Baltimore will drop two in a row. I’m picking the Ravens to win this game.

Lions (0-8-1) @ Browns (5-5) (1pm FOX)

I dropped the Browns defense last week but picked them back up and am starting them this week. Hopefully Nick Chubb will be back in the Browns and my lineup as well. I am picking the Browns to win this game and to bounce back from that incredibly ugly loss.

Texans (1-8) @ Titans (8-2) (1pm CBS)

I just read an article that the Titans could have Derrick Henry back as soon as January. They just need to keep winning to get into the postseason. I’m picking the Titans to win this game.

Packers (8-2) @ Vikings (4-5) (1pm FOX)

The Packers rarely lose to the Vikings so I don’t think they’ll start now. I am picking the Packers to win this game, as long as AJ Dillon doesn’t have a great game, because, you guessed it, my opponent has him on his team.

Dolphins (3-7)  @ Jets (2-7) (1pm CBS)

I mean, at this point, who knows who will win this game. I do know that the Jets are starting Joe Flacco for their quarterback. I’m not sure who will start for the Dolphins. Either way, I think I’m going to have to pick the Dolphins for the win.

Saints (5-4) @ Eagles (4-6) (1pm FOX)

Kamara is supposed to be back for the Saints, therefore I am picking them to beat the Eagles! Go Saints.

Washington (3-6) @ Panthers (5-5) (1pm FOX)

The Panthers are going to start Cam Newton at quarterback and CMC is no longer on the injury report. Therefore, I am picking the Panthers to beat the Football Team.

49ers (3-5) @ Jaguars  (2-7) (1pm FOX)

I wouldn’t be surprised if this game ended in a tie, but if I have to pick a winner, I’m picking the 49ers to win.

Bengals (5-4) @ Raiders (5-4) (4:05pm CBS)

The Bengals are coming back off their bye, and in this season, I don’t know if that’s a good thing. It seems that more teams that have come off their bye have lost than won. I’m picking the Raiders to win this game, but won’t be surprised when I’m wrong.

Cowboys (7-2) @ Chiefs (6-4) (4:25pm FOX)

Both teams are going into this game with a whole lot of momentum. I am going to pick the Chiefs to win this game, only because they are the home team.

Cardinals (8-2) @ Seahawks (3-6) (4:25pm FOX)

It doesn’t look like D-Hop is going to play and Murray is still questionable. With that said, if they don’t suit up, I’m going to pick the Seahawks to win this game.

Steelers (5-3-1) @ Chargers (5-4) (8:20pm NBC)

I’m going to pick the Chargers to win this game but like I’ve said before, I wouldn’t be surprised if I was wrong.

Monday, November 22nd

NY Giants (3-6) @ Buccaneers (6-3) (8:15pm ESPN)

Thank god for the Manning Cast. The Bucs lost one of their key defensive players, which is bad news for the Bucs but good news for the Giants. Saquon Barkley is also slated to be back on the field. Which is good news for the Giants but bad news for me, because my opponent has him on his fantasy team. Regardless, I’m rooting for the Giants, especially Kenny Golladay, and picking the Bucs for the win.

BYE WEEK: Broncos, Rams

The Shenoa Report Week 10 '21 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
November, 11 2021
Regular Season Week 10

Week 9 was WAY better than week 8 for me, at least. The Giants won, I won in fantasy, and I am back in first place in my league. I didn’t do so well on my picks though going 7-7  and am now 7-2 in fantasy.

The big news this week is Cam Newton is back in the league, he joined the Carolina Panthers now that Sam Darnold is on IR. The other big news is that OBJ is an LA Ram. The deal was also finalized on Thursday. Cool.

In other news,  Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has been fined nearly $50,000 this season for uniform violations and a wave after his walk-off winning touchdown against the New England Patriots, while Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was fined only $14,650 for violating the NFL's COVID-19 protocols… I’m just going to leave this here for you to stew over along with me…

Here’s the recap of week 9.

Jets  @ Colts 30-45

It’s funny, Mike White has one good week under his belt and suddenly almost everyone picked the 2-6 Jets to win this game. I’m glad I picked the Colts, at least I got one pick correct this week. This game wasn’t even fun to watch as the Colts manhandled the Jets. Most of the Jets points came in garbage time after the Colts were finished dominating the clock and ball. Speaking of dominating, Jonathan Taylor destroyed the Jets defense racking up 172 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns, one of which was a 78 yard run. Yikes, I’m glad he wasn’t on my opponent's team this week.

Browns @ Bengals 41-16

This game had a lot of fantasy implications and my dumbass benched Cleveland’s defense. Whoops. I wasn’t happy about my choice but I was thrilled at their performance. They shut down my opponent’s QB, Joe Burrow, intercepting him twice, one for a pick six. They also took away the pass game so even though my opponent had Joe Mixon, who did have 2 touchdowns on the day, at least they weren’t passing touchdowns. On the other side of the ball Nick Chubb finally had a great game! He had two touchdowns, one of which was a 70 yard run. He ended up with 137 rushing yards on the day. I got this pick wrong but my opponent started the Bengals defense, so I count this game as a win.

Broncos  @ Cowboys 30-16

Speaking of starting bad defenses this week, I started the Cowboys defense, and netted 0.0 points.  Who would’ve thought the Broncos, without Von Miller, would be able to stop the Cowboys?! Not me! I got this pick wrong too. The Broncos didn’t even allow the Cowboys to score until the 4th quarter. It was an ugly, ugly game if you’re a Cowboys fan, otherwise it was fun to watch.

Texans @ Dolphins 9-17

Tua was out again for the Dolphins so it was backup quarterback Jakobi Brissett that led the Dolphins to victory over the Tyrod Taylor led Texans. Taylor’s return was less than impressive with no touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Brissett didn’t fare much better with just one touchdown and 2 interceptions. Houston shut out the Dolphins in the second half but the damage had already been done. So, the Dolphins got their second win of the season.

Falcons @ Saints 27-25

The outcome of this game was very surprising to me. I didn’t think it would be a close game at all and I thought that it would be the Saints doing the hurting.  Instead it was the Falcons defense that would shut out the Saints at home in the first half. The Saints finally figured out how to score in the fourth quarter and even tied the game to send it to overtime, but Younghoe Koo kicked a 64 yard game winning field goal as time expired to give the Falcons the win.

Raiders @ NY Giants 16-23

This game!!!! Well, I had to start Danny Jones in fantasy because my starting QB Kyler Murray was out, added stress, I know.  The Giants started the game strong marching down the field and scoring on their opening drive, a touchdown pass from Danny Jones to Evan Engram. I breathed a sigh of relief. The Giants were actually the first team to score on Sunday according to Scott Hanson, host of the Redzone. Of course the Raiders answered right back on their first drive tying the game. Unfortunately for me, it wasn’t a Darren Waller touchdown.  The Giants defense played their best game of the season, picking off Derek Carr twice, one for a pick six. It was a great, unexpected win! GMEN!

Patriots @ Panthers 24-6

Christian McCaffrey was back for the Panthers but it didn’t seem to help Carolina one bit because Sam Darnold played like he was a NY Jet again. Darnold had no touchdowns, and 3 interceptions, one of them being a pick six. The Patriots dominated the field and the game and took the W.

Bills @ Jaguars 6-9

This game was awful. The Bills should have won 57-3. That was the reason I started Emmanual Sanders and Zach Moss over James Conner. Big mistake, big, huge mistake. Moss went out injured and did not return and the Bills were just plain horrible. We all know that the Bills QB is Josh Allen, but not many people know that there is a Josh Allen on the Jags defense. Fun fact: Josh Allen sacked, intercepted, and had a forced fumble recovery on Josh Allen. Those were the only “highlights” of the game.

Vikings @ Ravens 31-34 OT

This game was back and forth and back and forth the entire game. Minnesota actually led for most of the game but it was the Ravens that came back to tie the game sending it to overtime. Justin Tucker takes his job seriously and kicked the game winning field goal in overtime.

Chargers @ Eagles 27-24

The Eagles have yet to win at home and the streak continues. Justin Herbert and the Chargers bounced back and simply outplayed Philadelphia. It was nice to see the Eagles lose, again.

Packers @ Chiefs  7-13

This game showed that the Packers can not win without Aaron Rodgers. It wasn’t pretty but the Chiefs got the W and miraculously the Packers shut down Tyreek Hill and the Chiefs shut down Aaron Jones which was my fantasy football wish for my opponent. Thank you fantasy football gods.

Cardinals @ 49ers 31-17

My biggest fantasy football mistake was benching James Conner. He had 40 POINTS. On. My. Bench. Clearly the Cards didn’t need Murray or DeHop. Who knew? What a game. Every time I heard the announcers call out Conner's name I’m pretty sure I swore. Let’s just say that if we had a swear jar at the house it would’ve been filled before half time of this game.

Titans @ Rams 28-16

This was such a backwards game. I still can’t believe that Cooper Kupp didn’t have a touchdown. It was like Matt Stafford was back with the Lions, throwing interceptions, and just plain sucking. Of course the one touchdown pass he did throw went to my opponent’s TE, Tyler Higbee. Thankfully the Titans defense was able to contain, for the most part, my opponent’s RB Darrell Henderson. I stayed up till the end of this game just to make sure my fantasy win was secure. The game ended, I won!

Bears @ Steelers 27-29

The Manning’s had the night off so this game was missable. The officiating was terrible. The taunting calls are ridiculous and are very unnecessary. You don’t want to be taunted? Play better! Anyway, I guess it was a competitive game, and the Bears played well, but it wasn’t enough to get the win.

WEEK 11

Thursday, November 11th

Ravens (6-2) @ Dolphins (2-7) (8:20pm FOX/NFL)

This game doesn’t look like it’s going to be a good one, in fact, I would be surprised if it was. I’m picking the Ravens to beat the Dolphins.

Sunday, November 14th

Falcons (4-4) @ Cowboys (6-2) (1pm FOX)

The Cowboys were embarrassed last week and I think they are going to bounce back and beat the Falcons. I’m starting the Cowboys defense so they better play well. I’m picking the Cowboys to win this game.

Saints  (5-3) @ Titans (7-2) (1pm CBS)

This should be a good, close game. Alvin Kamara has a knee injury and might not play, which would definitely hurt the Saints chances of winning. I haven’t decided if I should start Jeremy McNichols yet, I have to see if my RB Nick Chubb is cleared from the covid list and if my RB Zach Moss is cleared from concussion protocols. I don’t want to start McNichols, but if I have to I want him to have a good game. Regardless, I am going to pick the Titans to win this game. I miss Derrick Henry.

Jaguars (2-6) @ Colts (4-5) (1pm CBS)

I think the Jags' win last week was a fluke. I’m picking the Colts to win this game.

Browns (5-4) @ Patriots (5-4) (1pm CBS)

If Chubb is back I’ll pick the Browns, but if he isn’t I don’t see how Cleveland wins. I think I’m going to have to pick the Patriots to win this game. Will Jakobi Meyers actually get a touchdown? He’s so frickin due!

Bills (5-3) @ Jets (2-6) (1pm CBS)

The Bills were so embarrassed last week, and I think this is another trap game. I say this because the Bills are playing down to their opponent’s level. They’ve done it the past two matchups. Hopefully they’ll learn their lesson and annihilate the Jets. I’m picking the Bills for the win.

Lions (0-8)  @ Steelers (5-3) (1pm FOX)

Every game for the Lions going forward is going to be like their Super Bowl. Will they win their first game of the season against the Steelers? Probably not. I’m picking the Steelers to win.

Buccaneers (6-2) @ Washington (2-6) (1pm FOX)

The Bucs are back, fresh from their bye but they are still pretty beat up (Godwin, AB, Gronk, Evans). I still think they beat the Football Team. In other news, I’m glad to have Uncle Lenny (Fournette) back in my lineup.

Panthers (4-5) @ Cardinals (8-1) (4:05pm FOX)

Cam Newton just signed with the Panthers as Sam Darnold is on IR. Cam probably won’t play against the Cardinals, but CMC is back so he IS the Panthers offense anyway. Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins might miss a second consecutive game due to injury. Last week James Conner took the whole team on his back, I hope he does it again this week. He'll be in my starting lineup this time. I’m picking the Cardinals to win!

Vikings (3-5) @ Chargers (5-3) (4:05pm FOX)

The Vikings only have one road win this season. I’m picking the Chargers to win this game, but only if Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler don’t have great games, because, fantasy.

Eagles (3-6) @ Broncos (5-4) (4:25pm CBS)

My opponent has Tim Patrick on the Broncos, hopefully he’s not a difference maker because I’m picking the Broncos for the win. The Giants have their bye this week so it would be nice if all the other teams in the NFC East lost.

Seahawks (3-5) @ Packers (7-2) (4:25pm FOX)

Russell Wilson should be back for the Seahawks and Aaron Rodgers might not be off the covid list for the game. The earliest he could be off the list would be Saturday. With that said, I’m picking the Seahawks to win this game.

Chiefs (5-4) @ Raiders (5-3) (8:20pm NBC)

If Kylar Murray can’t play I’m going to start Derek Carr as my quarterback. I’m hoping he throws lots of passes to Darren Waller. I also hope the Raiders defense shuts down Travis Kelce. But I’m still picking the Chiefs to win this game.

Monday, November 15th

Rams (7-2) @ 49ers (3-5) (8:15pm ESPN)

OBJ is the newest WR for the Rams. I hope it doesn’t hurt Cooper Kupp’s numbers. Kupp is my best player on my team! I’m picking the Rams to bounce back and beat the 49ers. I just can’t have Bobby Trees involved in the game much since, you guessed it, my opponent has Robert Woods on her team.

BYE WEEK: Bears, Bengals, NY Giants, Texans

The Giants have their bye this week so I get to ride the win for one more week!!!!

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the edit Eric!

The Shenoa Report Week 9 '21 #theshenoareport

 The Shenoa Report

November, 4 2021

Regular Season Week 9

Ugh. Week 8 was NOT my week. The Giants lost, I lost in fantasy, and I lost Derrick Henry for at least 6-10 weeks. It was a bad, bad, bad week for me. I guess I can kiss the whole winning thing goodbye. Week 9 isn’t looking any better for my fantasy team, as well as some teams in the NFL. The Raiders, for instance, are having a really trying season. Earlier this week they released WR Henry Ruggs after he was arrested for drunk driving, causing an accident, and killing a woman and her dog. Ruggs had his corvette up to 156mph before hitting a Rav4 at 121mph. His blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit.  The Raiders organization has gone above and beyond with having a shuttle service for their people so that they don’t have any reason to get behind the wheel while intoxicated. The NFL also has a service that does virtually the same thing for a fee but, when someone uses that service, they get a credit for doing so, which wipes out the initial fee. This is such a sad, preventable, inexcusable, situation.

In other news, COVID-19 is making a comeback in the NFL too. Most notably Aaron Rodger (unvaccinated), Noah Fant (vaccinated), and Saquon Barkley (vaccinated) all tested positive earlier this week. Fant and Barkley could potentially fall off the list if they have two negative tests back to back 24 hrs apart. Rodgers will be out for at least one game, and there is a possibility of fines or suspension because he wasn’t honest about his vaccination status nor did he follow the protocols for being unvaccinated, by not wearing a mask in public or on the sidelines in practices or games.  I have lost all respect for Rodgers, not for being unvaccinated, but because he thought he was above the rules and regulations, putting so many others in jeopardy of getting sick.

OBJ is also in some hot water because of a video his father put up on social media of Baker Mayfield not targeting his son while he was open and would have caught the ball. OBJ was not on the injury report this week but has been held out of practice the last two days, and sent home. It’s very likely OBJ will be cut from the team and become a free agent.

Lastly, I went 8-7 on my picks and am now 6-2 in fantasy.

Here’s the recap of week 8. In all honesty I didn’t watch most of these games because I was so frustrated with my fantasy team, therefore I was in the kitchen baking all day Sunday.

Packers @ Cardinals 24-21

The Packers, who were without their 3 top WRs because of being on the COVID-19 list, beat the undefeated Cardinals. Kyler Murray had his worst game of the season, injuring his foot in the game and DeAndre Hopkins also re-injured his quad but put himself back in the game, injuring himself more. So I got this pick wrong and now my starting quarterback is injured. Cool.

Panthers @ Falcons 19-13

I don’t think I’ve gotten a Carolina pick correct yet this season. When I think they’re good, they’re bad, and vice versa.  Fun fact: It was Panther’s kicker Zane Gonzalez who scored the most points in this game.

Dolphins @ Bills 11-26

I had started both Emmanual Sanders and Zack Moss from the Bills because I thought, easy points, they’re playing the Dolphins. Sanders got me a total of 0 points. Awesome. I’m glad the Bills got the win because I atleast got the pick correct, but this game was basically a gut punch to me.

49ers @ Bears 33-22

I got this pick correct too. I can almost always count on the Bears to lose. Even though he lost, Justin Fields had a better day with only one interception and one touchdown, while Jimmy G didn’t have any touchdowns or interceptions.

Steelers @ Browns 15-10

Ugh. Salt. Open wound. The first game back for Nick Chubb and he only had 7 points! Son of a monkey’s uncle. Annnnd the stupid Steelers won, and I started the Browns defense. UGH!  No wonder I lost in fantasy.

Eagles @ Lions 44-6

It gets worse. I picked the Lions to win too. I really hope no one read this report last week and picked the same picks I did. If you did, I’m so SORRY! I’m also sorry for Lions fans everywhere.

Titans @ Colts 34-31 OT

Welp, the Titans did win this game even though they lost Derrick Henry (maybe for the rest of the season) due to a broken bone in his foot. Henry only had 6 points for my fantasy team. Somehow I can reason it away better knowing he was playing with a broken foot. Carson Wentz was the most valuable player for the Titans because he threw a pick six in the fourth quarter, which helped to send the game to overtime where the Titans kicked a field goal to win the game.

Bengals @ Jets 31-34

No one got this pick correct. I still really can’t believe the Jets won. I have no idea what happened to the Bengals. The Jets had to start their back up quarterback, Mike White because of the injured Zach Wilson. The Jets had nothing going for them. It’s like the Bengals played down to the Jets level and that’s why they lost the game.

Rams @ Texans 38-22

Cooper Kupp is my fantasy team right now. Kupp had more points than all of my running backs combined. Not a good stat for my RBs. Rams coach Sean McVay decided to take out Matt Stafford in the 4th quarter because they were winning 38-0. Then the Texans scored 22 points in the 4th. Ooofffff. Talk about garbage time scores.

Patriots @ Chargers 27-24

Justin Herbert’s kryptonite is the New England Patriots. Herbert had two interceptions, one was a pick six. The Patriots have finally started to click even though wide receiver Jakobi Meyers still hasn't caught a touchdown pass yet. Damnit!

Jaguars @ Seahawks 7-31

Geno Smith has defied expectation as a backup QB and has brought the Seahawks to a win, finally. It helps that they played the Jags.  The Seahawks fans are happy, but still can’t wait to get Russel Wilson back.

Washington @ Broncos 10-17

This game wasn’t very exciting and I don’t have much to say about it, except I’m glad that the Football Team lost.

Buccaneers @ Saints 27-36

The Saints may have won this game but it was at the expense of losing their starting quarterback Jameis Winston. I was actually pretty surprised the Saints pulled off the win regardless of who was under center. I was also frustrated that the Bucs, mainly Fournette, didn’t do as well as I expected and needed.

Cowboys @ Vikings 20-16

Dalton Schultz did not perform well in fantasy for me, but by this point I knew that a win wasn’t possible so I didn’t really care. I went to bed early after a long day of baking.

NY Giants @ Chiefs 17-20

The game wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, and the Giants gave me hopes of a win, only to have it crash down at the end, in true Giants fashion. The Mannings were once again the saving grace for Monday Night Football.  The guests this week were Jon Stewart, Micheal Strahan, Josh Allen, and Micheal Irvin. I learned that Stewart is a lifelong Giants fan and we share the same views; like, “why would we score a touchdown when Danny Jones can just throw it out of the back of the endzone.” Strahan has similar feelings and it was nice to commiserate with these famous people. In the end, the Giants had another heartbreaking loss, and I went to bed sad because I actually thought they could win.

WEEK 9

Thursday, November 4th

Jets (2-5) @ Colts (3-5) (8:20pm FOX/NFL)

Neither team is doing well this season and this game has no fantasy football implications for me so, is there really any reason to even watch it? Mike White is starting for the Jets again this week and he took the Jets to their second win of the season last week. Can he do it again? I don’t think so. I’m picking the Colts to win this game.

Sunday, November 7th DON’T FORGET DAYLIGHT SAVINGS!!!!

Browns (4-4) @ Bengals (5-3) (1pm CBS)

I’ve all but given up on the Browns this season. I benched OBJ weeks ago and now it looks like he’s already played his last game with Cleveland. I’ve also benched Cleveland’s defense even though I really need them to shut down both my opponent’s QB and WR, Joe Burrow and Joe Mixon. I also really need Nick Chubb to play like the Chubb of the beginning of the season and pick apart the Bengals defense, yup my opponent is starting them too. One can hope right?  I’m picking the Bengals to win this game, and I really hope I’m wrong

Broncos  (4-4) @ Cowboys (6-1) (1pm FOX)

The Broncos traded Von Miller to the Rams and I am starting the Cowboys defense, therefore I am picking the Cowboys to win this game.

Texans (1-7) @ Dolphins (1-7) (1pm FOX)

The Texans are getting Tyrod Taylor back at quarterback for this game. But I think I’m still going to have to pick the Dolphins for the win. Of course my opponent is starting Jaylon Waddle, WR for the Dolphins. Why is it that my opponent has such favorable matchups this week?!

Falcons (3-4) @ Saints (5-2) (1pm FOX)

The Saints will quite possibly have a quarterback by committee in Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian now that their starter is out for the rest of the season. Star WR Michael Thomas is also out for the rest of the season for the Saints. On the other team, WR Calvin Ridley has taken a leave of absence and may not return to the Falcons. With all that said, I am picking the Saints to win this game.

Raiders (5-2) @ NY Giants (2-6) (1pm CBS)

The Raiders will be without Ruggs so hopefully Derek Carr targets Darren Waller a whole lot more. I have no expectation for the Giants to win this game. I will be rooting for them, of course, but I need Waller to have a stellar game with lots of points. I am picking the Raiders to win this game but I hope I’m wrong. Go GMEN!

Patriots (4-4)  @ Panthers (4-4) (1pm CBS)

I know I’ve said this before but the Panthers are supposed to get CMC back. I really don’t care who wins as long as Jakobi Meyers actually gets a touchdown, or 3. He’s due! I’m picking the Panthers to win this game and I hope CMC does start and Panthers take their focus off my opponent’s WR DJ Moore. That’d be helpful.

Bills (5-2) @ Jaguars (1-6) (1pm CBS)

This should be a pretty easy game for the Bills to win. I mean they are playing the Jags. Dear Josh Allen, please pass the ball to Emanual Sanders at least 10 times as much as you did last week…  and feed Zack Moss the ball! I. NEED. FANTASY. POINTS!!! Love, Shenoa. I’m picking the Bills for the win.

Vikings (3-4) @ Ravens (5-2) (1pm FOX)

I’m picking the Ravens to win this game and I don’t have much else to say about it.

Chargers (4-3) @ Eagles (3-5) (4:05pm CBS)

The Eagles have yet to win at home and the Chargers have won two away games. LA, let’s make it 3 away game wins. I’m picking the Chargers to bounce back and win this game.

Packers (7-1) @ Chiefs  (4-4) (4:25pm FOX)

I don’t think the Packers can win without Aaron Rodgers. I’m picking the Chiefs to win this game as long as the Chiefs shut down the Packers run game and the Packers shut down Tyreek Hill. (My opponent has Hill and Aaron Jones. Ugh.)

Cardinals (7-1) @ 49ers (3-4) (4:25pm FOX)

There is a chance that my starting quarterback doesn’t play as he has been out of practice all week with a sprained left ankle. If Murray can’t go it’ll be back up Colt McCoy under center. Regardless I am still picking the Cards to win this game.

Titans (6-2) @ Rams (7-1) (8:20pm NBC)

I don’t think the Titans have any chance to beat the Rams without Derrick Henry. I’m picking the Rams to win this game and I need Cooper Kupp to continue doing what he does best, catch passes and score touchdowns. Kupp and Matt Stafford need to be best friends in this game, no passes to Tyler Higbee or handoffs to Darrell Henderson, because, fantasy.

Monday, November 8th

Bears (3-5) @ Steelers (4-3) (8:15pm ESPN)

The Manning’s have the night off so this game will be even more painful to watch without them. I’d like to see the Bears beat the Steelers but I know that isn’t likely. Begrudgingly, I’m picking the Steelers to win.

BYE WEEK: Lions, Seahawks, Buccaneers, The Football Team

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
