The Shenoa Report Week 8 '18 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report

Regular Season Week 8

We are heading into week 8 and the Rams are still undefeated. I am 3-4 in my league; this week was an epic loss. The Giants lost and are officially rebuilding for next year. Just this week they have traded Eli Apple and Damon “Snacks” Harrison away for draft picks. I don’t like rebuilding years.  I went 10-4 on my picks, which is just as good or better than three of the four NFL Insiders on Showtime!!!

Let’s recap week seven.

Broncos @ Cardinals 45-10
This game wasn’t even close, especially when Emmanuel Sanders, Broncos wide receiver, was not only catching touchdown passes he was throwing them too. The Broncos defense also had a good night getting not one but two pick six’s to help run up the score on the pathetic Cards. I admittedly turned the game off for a while, partly because it wasn’t even close but mostly because Joe Buck and Troy Aikman were talking so much I just couldn’t watch anymore. Man, take a breath and sit in silence for a moment. So annoying.

Titans @ Chargers 19-20
I’m still mad at this game. Instead of tying the game and going into OT the Titans head coach decided to go for two at the end of the game. They didn’t convert and lost the game, in which they could have won had it gone into overtime… Also more frustrating I played the Titans defense and my opponent played the Chargers defense. PS I lost miserably in fantasy this week and this is just one of the reasons.
Patriots @ Bears 38-31
This was a very entertaining game to watch, especially with a Bears fan. I imagine it’s a lot like watching football with me. He yelled and cursed a lot; yeah it’s a lot like me. Had it not been for a couple of Trubinsky picks and a yard short Hail Mary at the end of the game the Bears might have beat the Pats.

Bills @ Colts 5-37
Luck remembered how to throw touchdowns instead of interceptions as the Colts clobbered the Bills.

Vikings @ Jets 37-17
The Vikings really developed their run game in their win over the Jets with Cousins only throwing two touchdowns. This also added to my miserable loss in fantasy.

Lions @ Dolphins 32-21
I really thought the Dolphins would beat the Lions but I guess they were very well rested and ready to play. The Lions looked shockingly good.

Panthers @ Eagles 21-17
I’m still a little surprised that the Panther beat the Eagles; happy but surprised. Cam must be happy to have Greg Olsen back as that duo sealed the win with a touchdown in the final minutes of the game.

Browns @ Buccaneers 23-26 OT
Even though week 7 just finished up the Browns have played 8 games in total after going to overtime for the fourth time this season. I can still see Baker’s face after the Bucs kicked the game winning, 59 yard, field goal. This came right after the Browns fumbled to give Tampa the ball. I urge you to google it. It’ll probably look like all of the rest of the Browns fans after that play too.

Texans @ Jaguars 20-7
The Texans have really turned their season around; the same cannot be said for the Jags. At least Eli Manning isn’t as bad as Blake Bortles… Bortles fumbled on the third play of each half, and that’s not the only mistakes he made. Ouch.

Saints @ Ravens 24-23
I knew the Ravens couldn’t play at that caliber two weeks in a row. I also knew that the Saints would beat them this week. It all came down to an extra point from a kicker, Justin Tucker, that hadn’t missed a point after in his entire NFL career! He missed and the Ravens lost.  I can’t wait to hear what Ray Lewis says about it. Did you know he used to play for Baltimore?

Rams @ 49ers 39-10
This was definitely not a trap game for the Rams. Their uniforms resembled bumblebees and it’s fitting because they absolutely stung the 49ers. I mean Todd Gurley had three touchdowns and Jared Goff had two.

Cowboys @ Redskins 17-20
It’s no wonder the Redskins are the leaders of their division… They have Alex Smith. And that's the only nice thing I can say about that team.

Bengals @ Chiefs 10-45
My opponent had the Chiefs QB, RB, and kicker… He wins. It wasn’t even close. I think my fantasy loss was just about as bad as the Bengals loss.

NY Giants @ Falcons 20-23
I really don’t want to talk about it.

WEEK 8

Thursday, October 25th

Dolphins [4-3] @ Texans [4-3] (8:20pm FOX/NFLN/Amazon Prime Video/Twitch)
I’m going to pick the Texans to win this game. I think the Dolphins are slipping. I really just hope we don’t have to listen to Joe Buck and Troy Aikman during the broadcast. They never SHUT UP.

Sunday, October 28th

Eagles [3-4] @ Jaguars [3-4] (9:30am NFLN)
This game will be played at Wembley Stadium in London. So make sure you remember to turn the game on Sunday morning. For those on the East Coast it’ll be like living on the West Coast and watching football with breakfast. The Jags have a perfect record at Wembley, but I don’t think they will win as long as they have Bortles as their QB. He’s basically the MVP of the opposing team.  I’m picking the Eagles.
Jets [3-4] @ Bears [3-3] (1pm CBS)
I’m going to pick the Bears to win, which puts me in a pickle because I am playing the Jets defense.

Buccaneers [3-3] @ Bengals [4-3] (1pm FOX)
Even though the Bengals have lost their last two games I think they will win at home against the Bucs this weekend.

Seahawks [3-3] @ Lions [3-3] (1pm FOX)
I was surprised the Lions won last week, so I’ll pick them at home this week. This should be a good close game.

Broncos [3-4] @ Chiefs [6-1] (1pm FOX)
Even though the Broncos defense has stepped up I don’t think they will beat the Chiefs. I’m picking Kansas City to win this one.

Redskins [4-2] @ NY Giants [1-6] (1pm FOX)
Now that the powers that be have started to trade decent players away and count this season as a loss it looks like I won’t be picking the Giants to win at all the rest of this season. I still can’t believe they got rid of Snacks. I’m picking the Redskins to win.

Browns  [2-4-1] @ Steelers [3-2-1] (1pm CBS)
As much as I’d like to see this rematch conclude with a Browns win I think that the Steelers will win at home. I’m picking the Steelers for the win.

Ravens [4-3] @ Panthers [4-2] (1pm CBS)
Even though the Panthers are coming off a shocking win and the Ravens are coming off a shocking loss I’m going to pick the Panthers to lose this game.  I know they are perfect at home but I think it all comes to an end after this game.

Colts [2-5] @ Raiders [1-5] (4:05pm CBS)
I’m picking the Colts to win, for no other reason than the Raiders are in fact the worst team in the NFL, and I’m a Giants fan…

Packers [3-2-1] @ Rams [7-0] (4:25pm FOX)
I’m picking the Rams to win this game, even though the Packers will definitely make a game of it.

49ers [1-6] @ Cardinals [1-6] (4:25pm FOX)
Both these teams are just about as bad as the Raiders and the Giants. It’s funny to think that after this game at least one of them will have two wins… Of course, if it doesn’t end in a tie.  What the heck, I’ll pick the Cardinals to win at home.

Saints [5-1] @ Vikings [4-2-1] (8:20pm NBC)
A lot has changed since the Saints played at the Vikings last year. The Vikings have a new QB but they still have the same wide receivers that spoiled the Saints win in the final seconds of the game. I think the Saints win this one; I just hope Cousins has a good game.

Monday, October 29th

Patriots [5-2] @ Bills [2-5] (8:15pm ESPN)
I’m sorry Bills fans, I’m picking the Patriots to win this game.

 BYES: Falcons, Cowboys, Titans, Chargers

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Eric!
