The Shenoa Report

Regular Season Week 12

Happy Thanksgiving! Hug your loved ones lots and be thankful. This past week there were 12 missed point after attempts, that’s the most in league history. Kickers matter. The Giants won, I went 11-3, and I won in fantasy, it was a great week 11! Let’s recap.

Saints @ Panthers 20-23
The Panthers may have won the game but they lost Luke Kuechly, who left the field on a cart with tears streaming down his face. It was scary. It turns out he had a concussion.

Steelers @ Browns 24-9
This shouldn’t be any surprise.

Ravens @ Cowboys 17-27
I’m really tired of hearing how good the Cowboys are doing this year. Has anyone stopped to think of who they’ve played? Not good teams. Maybe they’ll start losing when they start playing teams that are actually challenging. PS the Giants are the only team that have beaten them… Rant over.

Jaguars @ Lions 19-26
The Lions are still winning even without Stafford throwing TD passes. Strange, I know.

Titans @ Colts 17-24
I should’ve picked the Colts, being that they were playing at home. Oh well.

Bills @ Bengals 16-12
The Bills won the game and probably ended the Bengals’ A.J. Green’s season. That’s a big hit for Cincinnati.

Buccaneers @ Chiefs 19-17
I can’t believe that Bucs beat the Chiefs. Any given day…

Bears @ NY Giants 16-22
This game started out really UGLY.  The announcers were talking about a trap game. It was hard to watch, but then the Giants came out in the second half actually ready to play. Phew. You know it’s a stressful game when I pull out the knitting needles… I knit an entire scarf during this game.

Cardinals @ Vikings 24-30
It’s about time the Vikings finally won a game again, and they really beat up on Carson Palmer of Arizona.

Dolphins @ Rams 14-10
Jared Goff, the very first pick of the draft, finally made his first start in the NFL and the Dolphins ruined it.

Patriots @ 49ers 30-17
Shocking, I know… Wait.

Eagles @ Seahawks 15-26
I love watching the Seahawks; they always have some trickery up their sleeve. Like, one play where their QB handed it off to his wide receiver and then ran to the end zone, catching the ball that the wide receiver threw for a touchdown. The win was even better over the Eagles.

Packers @ Redskins 24-42
Man the Packers look terrible, I mean bad. I didn’t even stay up to watch the massacre.

Texans @ Raiders 20-27
The Texans really should have won this game. The refs were terrible and possibly even blind and some of the people in the crowd had laser pointers that pointed them at the Texans’ QB throughout the game.  Not cool.

The Shenoa Report Week 11 '16 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
November 17, 2016
Regular Season Week 11

I am just elated that the Giants won again Monday night! I haven’t had high expectations for them; so, each win is a pleasant surprise. It’s a good thing that they won because I lost by ONE POINT in fantasy football and I’m not gonna lie, that hurts a little bit. My picks were much better this week, 9-5 and in the Super Bowl 49 rematch the Seahawks won. Week 10 was pretty good. Let’s recap.

Browns @ Ravens 7-28
I knew that this would be a terrible game and not worth watching so I went out to a karaoke bar instead. Best. Decision. Ever.

Rams @ Jets 9-6
Well done, Rams.

Falcons  @ Eagles 15-24
Because of all the byes in fantasy, I picked up Wentz as my QB. I’m not going to say I was rooting for the Eagles but I did want Wentz to have a good game. The Eagles won, but Wentz was not good enough for me to get the fantasy win. I blame him. Thanks Wentz.

Broncos @ Saints 25-23
It’s a good thing the Broncos defense is so good because their offense stinks.
The defense definitely won this game. A blocked extra point run back for a two point conversion. Game over.

Texans @ Jaguars 24-21
The Texans finally get their first win on the road… This really isn’t a good thing; but, congrats Houston, I guess.

Bears @ Buccaneers 10-36
The Bears are just terrible, I hope they continue this streak through week 11… (They play the Giants on Sunday)

Chiefs @ Panthers 20-17
I’m sorry Panthers fans, so sorry.

Vikings @ Redskins 20-26
We did a lot of yard work on Sunday because the Giants weren’t playing until Monday night. Therefore, I was able to listen to the first half of this game as I was mowing over leaves on the riding lawnmower. I was super excited for the Vikings after they had 20 unanswered points in the 2nd quarter. Only, I stopped listening when the yard work was done, and apparently, the Vikings stopped playing at the same time.

Packers @ Titans 25-47
SMH. I just don’t know. I have no answers for the Packers fans. On the other hand, Titans fans are elated to finally have 5 wins in a season.

Dolphins @ Chargers 31-24
When did the Dolphins get “good” ?

49ers @ Cardinals 20-23
That was a close one Arizona…

Cowboys @ Steelers 35-30
You had 42 seconds left! And you BLEW IT! Thanks a lot Pittsburgh.

Seahawks @ Patriots 31-24
This was the 49th Super Bowl rematch. I liked this outcome much better.

Bengals @ NY Giants 20-21
GMEN!!!! Seriously, McAdoo is a gutsy mofo. Tom Coughlin would never have gone for the TD on a 4th and change, he would’ve settled for a field goal. But, as it turns out, the field goal wouldn’t have been enough. We’re not clicking on every aspect of the game, but when we do, we’ll be dangerous. Anyway, I’m proud of the GMEN!

WEEK 11

Thursday, November 17th

Saints (4-5) @ Panthers (3-6) [8:25pm NBC, NFLN]
I’m going to Pick the Panthers, mainly because I feel sorry for them, and it’s a must win.

Sunday, November 20th

Steelers (4-5) @ Browns (0-10) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Steelers.

Ravens (5-4) @ Cowboys (8-1) [1pm CBS]
Tony Romo pretty much cried when he realized that he wouldn’t be the face of the franchise anymore. I’m still going to pick Dallas to win this game, but I’m not happy about it and I’m hoping I’m wrong.

Jaguars (2-7) @ Lions (5-4)  [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Lions.

Titans (5-5) @ Colts (4-5) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Titans.  Abby, you’re welcome.

Bills (4-5) @ Bengals (3-5-1) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Bills, they are coming off their bye and the Bengals have trouble with NY teams.

Buccaneers (4-5) @ Chiefs (7-2) [1pm FOX]
I’ll take the Chiefs.

Bears (2-7) @ NY Giants (6-3) [1pm FOX]
I’m taking the Giants. Go GMEN!!!!!!!!

Cardinals (4-4-1) @ Vikings (5-4) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Vikings. Not sure why.

Dolphins (5-4) @ Rams (4-5) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m picking the Rams.

Patriots (7-2) @ 49ers (1-8) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m taking the Pats over the 9ers.

Eagles (5-4) @ Seahawks (6-2-1) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m picking the Seahawks.

Packers (4-5) @ Redskins (5-3-1) [8:30pm NBC]
I’m picking the Redskins but will be rooting for the Packers. Please let me be wrong about my pick.

Monday, November 21st

Texans (6-3) @ Raiders (7-2) [8:30pm ESPN]
This will be the first Monday Night Football game played in Mexico City! It is already sold out. I’m picking the Raiders to win. Don’t drink the water.

BYE: Jets, Broncos, Chargers, Falcons

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Shenoa Report
November 10, 2016
Regular Season Week 10

Well, I’d like to just get this out of the way. The election was like a Patriots-Browns game. Looking at this particular game everyone would’ve picked the Patriots to win, no contest right? Only the Browns won this game but the win doesn’t last a week… it lasts 4 years. And that sums up the election.
Let’s get back to football. Week 9 was great, the Giants beat the Eagles, I won in fantasy, BUT my picks were terrible. 6-7
Anyway, let’s recap week nine.

Falcons @ Buccaneers 43-28
Can we all agree that Thursday Night Football is a waste of time?

Lions @ Vikings 22-16 OT
I bet the Vikings are really missing Norv Turner; they haven’t won since he left. In other news, way to go Lions.

Eagles @ NY Giants 23-28
I didn’t hate this game!!!!! I was skeptical and I had my doubts, but somehow the Giants pulled off the win!!!!!!! Thank God for that defense and Eli throwing 4 touchdown passes helped too. Woot woot Gmen!

Jets @ Dolphins 23-27
Brandon Marshall isn’t supporting his QB anymore and that’s bad. Dolphins win!

Jaguars @ Chiefs 14-19
I mean the Chiefs should have won this game so there really isn’t anything to talk about.

Cowboys @ Browns 35-10
At least the Browns are consistent!

Steelers @ Ravens 14-21
Sloppy football Steelers; good for the Ravens though.

Saints @ 49ers 41-23
You know it’s bad when the Saints look good.

Panthers @ Rams 13-10
Hey, hey! The Panthers get their third win of the season!

Colts @ Packers 31-26
What happened to the Packers?!?!!? I blame it on the squirrel.

Titans @ Chargers 35-43
Sorry Abby,  I thought the Titans would’ve won this game.

Broncos @ Raiders 20-30
The Broncos are officially in trouble.

Bill @ Seahawks 25-31
Kicking myself for falling asleep right before half time. I was told to YouTube the highlights, because “hilarity ensues”.

WEEK 10

Thursday, November 10th

Browns (0-9) @ Ravens (4-4) [8:25pm NFLN]
I’m picking the Ravens in the Thursday night game where no one could care less.

Sunday, November 13th

Rams (3-5) @ Jets (3-6) [1pm FOX]
I’ll take the Rams.

Falcons (6-3) @ Eagles (4-4) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Eagles but rooting for the Falcons.

Broncos (6-3) @ Saints (4-4)  [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Broncos.

Texans (5-3) @ Jaguars (2-6) [1pm CBS]
 I’m going with the Texans.

Bears (2-6) @ Buccaneers (3-5) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Bucs.

Chiefs (6-2) @ Panthers (3-5) [1pm CBS]
I’ll take the Panthers.

Vikings (5-3) @ Redskins (4-3-1) [1pm FOX]
I’m picking the Redskins, but hoping the Vikings can turn all this losing to winning.

Packers (4-4) @ Titans (4-5) [1pm FOX]
I’ll pick the Packers but I’m definitely unsure.

Dolphins (4-4) @ Chargers (4-5) [4:05pm CBS]
I’m picking the Chargers.

49ers (1-7) @ Cardinals (3-4-1) [4:25pm FOX]
I’ll take the Cardinals.

Cowboys (7-1) @ Steelers (4-4) [4:25pm FOX]
I’m picking the Steelers.

Seahawks (5-2-1) @ Patriots (7-1) [8:30pm NBC]
I’ll take the Patriots.

Monday, November 14th

Bengals (3-4-1) @ NY Giants (5-3) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m going with the Giants. GO GMEN!!!!

The Shenoa Report Week 9 '16

The Shenoa Report
November 3, 2016
Regular Season Week 9

We had a great trip to DC so there wasn’t a lot of football watching last weekend. I was able to catch the Thursday night game, most of the Sunday morning game, and the Monday night game. Needless to say, I watched more baseball than football #worldseries. I stayed up to watch game seven of the series last night and man oh man am I tired, and glad baseball is over. Congrats to the Cubbies, the curse of the Billy goat has been broken. Now, back to football. There were three games this past week that went into overtime and one ended in a tie. This really messed up my picks and I went 8-5. I did win in fantasy and am currently in 4th place in my league, not bad for a 4-4 record. Anyway, let’s recap week eight.

Jaguars @ Titans 22-36
This score is deceiving because the game was much more lopsided.  The Titans looked like they were playing a college team (and not a good one)

Redskins @ Bengals 27-27 OT
This was the only game on Sunday I actually got to watch and I’m so glad we did. We went out to brunch in DC and were surrounded by a sea of Redskins fans. (I was kicking myself for not wearing my Giants t-shirt out) When the game went into overtime emotions were running high all around and then it seemed like there were a million turnovers. Dustin Hopkins had kicked the game winning field goal only to find out that the Bengals had called a timeout in attempt to ice the kicker. It worked, I called a wide left from my seat and was probably the only one in the building that was happy about it. All the air seemed to go out of the restaurant, we finished our meal and left.

Cardinals @ Panthers 20-30
It only took 8 weeks but the Panthers finally looked like the Panthers.

Chiefs @ Colts 30-14
The Chiefs routed the Colts with their second string QB. The Colts are horrible.

Seahawks @ Saints 20-25
The Seahawks are killing me. I can’t believe they lost to the Saints!!! SMH

Raiders @ Buccaneers 30-24 OT
Raiders are still rolling.

Lions @ Texans 13-20
Brock had a good day; therefore the Texans had a good day and beat the Lions.

Patriots @ Bills 41-25
This shouldn’t shock anyone.

Jets @ Browns 31-28
Maybe some of the Browns players were able to go the World Series so they can know what it’s like to make it to the post season…

Chargers @ Broncos 19-27
The Broncos defense is amazing. The end.

Packers @ Falcons 32-33
Ouch.

Eagles @ Cowboys 23-29 OT
I almost got my tie…

Vikings @ Bears 10-20
Stupid Vikings, messing up my picks.

WEEK 9

Thursday, November 3rd

Falcons (5-3) @ Buccaneers (3-4) [8:25pm NFLN]
Even though the Falcons have the better record they have lost their last three games. I’m still going to pick them to win, though I wouldn’t be surprised if they lost to the Bucs. Thursday Night Football seems to be a waste of time.

Sunday, November 6th

Lions (4-4) @ Vikings (5-2) [1pm FOX]
Vikings OC, Norv Turner, has resigned after losing two games. I’m still picking the Vikings to win this game.

Eagles (4-3) @ NY Giants (4-3) [1pm FOX]
I hate Eagles/Giants games; too many painful memories. The Giants are coming off their bye and theoretically could win this game, I hope they do, but I’m picking the Eagles and hoping (and praying) I’m wrong.

Jets (3-5) @ Dolphins (3-4)  [1pm CBS]
I’m going with the Dolphins at home.

Jaguars (2-5) @ Chiefs (5-2) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Chiefs to win this game.

Cowboys (6-1) @ Browns (0-8) [1pm FOX]
Watch, this will be the only game the Browns win this season. They’ll do it for Cleveland after the loss of the World Series. But, I’m picking the Cowboys.

Steelers (4-3) @ Ravens (3-4) [1pm CBS]
I’m picking the Steelers, there’s a good possibility that Big Ben will be back.

Saints (3-4) @ 49ers (1-6) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m going with the Saints.

Panthers (2-5) @ Rams (3-4) [4:05pm FOX]
I’m picking the Panthers. I think they finally figured out what to do to win.

Colts (3-5) @ Packers (4-3) [4:25pm CBS]
 I’m picking the Packers.

Titans (4-4) @ Chargers (3-5) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m taking the Titans.

Broncos (6-2) @ Raiders (6-2) [8:30pm NBC]
Both teams are 6-2 going into this game but I think it’ll be the Broncos that come out on top.

Monday, November 7th

Bill (4-4) @ Seahawks (4-2-1) [8:30pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Bills…  I’m not sure why.

BYE: Patriots, Bengals, Texans, Redskins, Bears, Cardinals

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the edit Eric!!
