The Shenoa Report Week 7 '25

The Shenoa Report

Regular Season Week 7

Hey Shenoa, how’d your week 6 go?

THE NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS BEAT THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES!!!!!!!!!

That’s how my week went, thanks for asking.

Guys. I’ve been walking around allllll week smiling, wearing my Giants gear. The last time the Giants won on a Thursday night, Jaxson Dart was 12. This was a huge win. More on that in just a few. :)

There are no more undefeated teams in the NFL this season but there is still one winless team. Give it up for the New York Jets!!!!!

I won in both leagues, CMC Ya Next Season 4-2, The Fantastic 44! 3-3.

Also, I went 10-5 in picks.

Let’s jump into the recap!

Eagles @ NY Giants 17-34

Sooooooooooo. I got this pick wrong. It’s ok. I’m ok. I’ve watched this game twice now. Once live and once the next day. Why did I watch this game twice? Well, Thursday night I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak, so I didn’t really enjoy the win fully. Seriously though the Giants are the definition of false hope. But not this night. This may get lengthy. I changed my fantasy team name after this game because of Cam Skattebo. Cam, who wears 44, had himself a historic night. Something Saquon never did, might I add. Skattebo had 98 rushing yards, THREE rushing touchdowns, 17 back flips, a lot of yelling, and one ripped shirt.  Ok, I may have elaborated on the back flips. I’m getting ahead of myself. We didn’t score first because Philly scored a field goal on their opening drive. But, Jaxson Dart has now scored on all three of his opening drives as a starter. Dart had one rushing touchdown on the opening drive and one passing touchdown to Wan’Dale Robinson later in the first quarter. Philly tried to make it interesting early with a Dallas Goedert touchdown to follow the Robinson touchdown to end the first quarter. The Eagles added another touchdown in the second quarter by cheating. I mean, they had to do the “tush push” FOUR  consecutive times with their  O line not being called for a false start EVERY TIME. That’s why they are so successful at this play. BECAUSE THE REFS AREN’T CALLING THE EARLY MOVEMENT!!!!!! Even Stephen A. Smith has changed his tune on this ridiculous play.  Initially he supported the tush push, but changed his mind after the Eagles used it four consecutive times and officials missed offsides penalties. He now argues that if offsides penalties can't be consistently called on the play, it should be banned to ensure fairness. I can’t believe I’m agreeing with Stephan A. Smith. But I do. Ok. So the Eagles had the lead after the cheating but then entered The Fantastic 44, Cam Skattebo. Skattebo had the rest of the scores for the night. He literally ran all over the Eagles. It was amazing. In other news, the Giants defense forced three turnovers and held Saquon Barkley to 41 rushing yards. One of the turnovers was a Cor'Dale Flott intercepted pass from Hurts to set up one of Cam’s rushing touchdowns. Hurts had only two other interceptions in his last 15 games, one in the Super Bowl and one back in November of 2024.

Fun Facts (because I couldn’t pick just one):

This was the Giants largest win over the Eagles since 2011.

Cam Skattebo had a hat trick, punching in three 1-yard touchdowns, becoming the first Giants back to do so since Brandon Jacobs in 2008.

The Eagles were shut out in the second half, a rare feat for a team averaging over 28 points per game entering Week 6.

The Giants scored in every quarter, something they hadn’t accomplished since Week 2 of 2022.

Lastly, karma is releasing your documentary on the day you think you are going to have a massive win and a warm homecoming only to have 41 rushing yards on the day and a humiliating loss.

Saquon who? We’ve got Skattebo!!!!

Broncos @ NY Jets 13-11

Denver escaped Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a two-point win thanks to their defense who had nine sacks on the day and a late Wil Lutz field goal. Bo Nix threw one touchdown, while the Jets managed -10 net passing yards.

Fun Fact: The Broncos nine sacks were their most in a game since 1996, which was also against the Jets, for those who believe in football symmetry.

Browns @ Steelers 9-23

Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdowns as the Steelers extended Cleveland’s losing streak in Pittsburgh to 22 games. Browns rookie Dillon Gabriel was sacked six times and never reached the end zone.

Fun Fact: The Browns haven’t won in Pittsburgh since 2003.

Chargers  @ Dolphins 29-27

Justin Herbert and Ladd McConkey connected late to thwart Miami’s rally, despite two TDs from De’Von Achane. Both teams combined for 56 rushing attempts and 252 ground yards.

Fun Fact: This was the Chargers first win in Miami since 2014

Patriots @ Saints 25-19

Drake Maye threw three touchdowns as New England held off a Saints comeback bid. I was definitely sweating after this game as my opponent had Maye in her starting lineup and it did not look good for me. Kayshon Boutte scored twice, while Alvin Kamara was limited to 31 rushing yards.

Fun Fact: Maye is the first Patriots rookie QB with three TD passes in a road game since 1983.

Rams @ Ravens 17-3

Matthew Stafford and Kyren Williams powered L.A. past a depleted Baltimore squad, which managed only 72 passing yards. The Rams defense forced two turnovers and allowed zero second-half points.

Fun Fact: Baltimore’s three points were their lowest home output since 2005

Cardinals @ Colts 27-31

Daniel Jones led Indy to a comeback win with two fourth-quarter touchdowns, overcoming Jacoby Brissett’s 320-yard day. Jonathan Taylor added 123 rushing yards and a score.

Fun Fact: The Colts are 5-1 for the first time since 2013.

Seahawks @ Jaguars 20-12

Just when I thought the Jags were good… I got this pick wrong. Sam Darnold threw two TDs and Jaxon Smith-Njigba exploded for 162 yards as Seattle’s defense sacked Trevor Lawrence seven times. Jacksonville managed just 27 rushing yards.

Fun Fact: Smith-Njigba’s 61-yard TD was Seattle’s longest play of the season.

Cowboys @ Panthers 27-30

Rico Dowdle had himself a revenge game, with 183 rushing yards and 239 scrimmage yards. Dak Prescott and George Pickens kept Dallas swinging, with Pickens hauling nine grabs for 168 and a touchdown, but the Panthers D stuffed the Cowboys in the red zone late and Bryce Young finally found his deep-ball groove. Carolina’s defense, led by Derrick Brown, locked up the Cowboys ground game (19 carries for 31 yards) and tackled its way out of the NFC South cellar… for now.

Fun Fact: Dowdle’s 239 scrimmage yards were the most ever by a player against his former team — and if you need a metaphor for sweet revenge, this is it.

Titans @ Raiders 10-20

The Raiders snapped a four game losing streak by dominating a disjointed Titans team  that promptly fired its head coach the next morning. Yup, Titans head coach Brian Callahan  was fired after a 1-5 start to the 2025 season. The team named senior offensive assistant Mike McCoy the interim head coach.

Fun Fact: The Raiders snapped a three-game losing streak with their first win over the Titans since 2019.

49ers @ Buccaneers 19-30

Baker Mayfield threw two TDs as Tampa Bay controlled the game, while San Francisco’s offense sputtered in the red zone.

Fun Fact: The Bucs are 5-1 for the first time since their 2002 Super Bowl season.

Bengals @ Packers 18-27

Jordan Love delivered 74 fourth quarter passing yards and a TD to seal the win, overcoming Joe Flacco’s late surge for Cincinnati. I was just happy that Josh Jacobs had a good game for me in fantasy.

Fun Fact: Flacco became the oldest QB to start for the Bengals at 40 years old.

Lions @ Chiefs 17-30

I got this pick wrong too. Patrick Mahomes shredded Detroit’s banged-up secondary for three TDs as Kansas City handed the Lions their first loss in five weeks.

Fun Fact: Mahomes now has 10 career games with 3+ TDs and zero picks in prime time.

Bills @ Falcons 14-24

The Bills still need to get their act together and I got this pick wrong too! Ugh! Michael Penix Jr. outdueled Josh Allen with 250 passing yards and a TD, while Bijan Robinson ran for 170 yards to continue the beating.

Fun Fact: Robinson’s 170 yards were the most by a Falcons RB since Michael Turner in 2008.

Bears @ Commanders 25-24

It was déjà vu meets revenge as Caleb Williams erased the ghosts of last year’s Walk Off Hail Mary with a last second Jake Moody field goal giving the Bears the win. The Bears now a three straight wins, and more importantly, the Commanders lost.

Fun Fact: The Bears Kicker Jake Moody hit the game-winner just a week after suffering his first field goal block as a pro—an NFL redemption arc baked into a dramatic Monday night finish.

WEEK 7

Thursday, October 16th

Steelers (4-1) @ Bengals (2-4) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

The two oldest quarterbacks will face off in this Thursday night matchup. I don’t think the Bengals are going to win at home. I’m picking the Steelers to win this game but I hope it's low scoring, for fantasy purposes.

Sunday, October 19th

Rams (4-2) @ Jaguars  (4-2) (9:30am NFLN, NFL+)

Check the time again. We have another London game, this time at Wembley Stadium in London. The betting odds favor the Rams but I’m not so sure because Puka Nacua is injured and this game is in another country. The Jaguars are considered a good bet against the spread, especially with Nacua's potential absence. They are 4-2 against the spread this season. They also have a history of playing well in London games, having played 13 international games since 2013, compared to the Rams three during that same period. Therefore, I’m picking the Jags to win this game.

Raiders (2-4) @ Chiefs (3-3) (1pm CBS)

I think the Chiefs will win this game but I hope Maxx Crosby is a menace when it comes to Mahomes. My opponent is starting Patrick Mahomes as well as the KC defense so I’m hoping he has a less than impressive game.

Dolphins (1-5) @ Browns (1-5) (1pm CBS)

These teams aren’t good. I’m going with the home team for the win.

Patriots (4-2) @ Titans (1-5)  (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Patriots to win this game.

Panthers (3-3) @ NY Jets  (0-6) (1pm FOX)

The Panthers haven’t won on the road yet this season, but the Jets haven’t won at home yet either. The Panthers are on a 3 win streak though. I’m going to pick the Panthers to win this game because the Jets haven’t been able to get it done yet.

Saints (1-5) @ Bears (3-2)  (1pm FOX)

I’m going to pick the Bears to win this game. Home field advantage baby.

Eagles (4-2) @ Vikings (3-2)  (1pm FOX)

Even with home field advantage, I don’t think the Vikings will win this game. I mean, I hope I’m wrong, but I think the Eagles will tush push their way to another victory.

Colts (5-1) @ Chargers (4-2)  (4:05pm CBS)

Both teams have strengths and both have weaknesses. Therefore I’m going with the home team for the win.

NY Giants (2-4)  @ Broncos (4-2) (4:05pm CBS)

Ok. So you’re telling me there’s a chance. Spoken like a true Giants fan. First I am going to tell you all the reasons why the Giants could get this win. 1.) The Giants are coming off a dominant win against the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles, giving them newfound momentum and confidence. 2.) The rookie duo of Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo has injected new life into the Giants offense, showcasing explosiveness and a never-say-die attitude. 3.) The Giants played on Thursday night, giving them extra rest compared to the Broncos, who are traveling back home from London. With all that said I’ll be rooting for the Giants but I’d be even more delusional to think they’d win two in a row. I’m picking the Broncos to win this game. Go G-MEN!

Packers (3-1-1) @ Cardinals (2-4) (4:25pm FOX)

The Packers seem to be less banged up than the Cards therefore, I’m picking the Packers to win this game.

Commanders (3-3) @ Cowboys (2-3-1) (4:25pm FOX)

I mean, in this divisional NFC East game I’m hoping it ends in a tie. I’m going to pick the Cowboys to win at home because that would be better for the Giants.

Falcons (3-2) @ 49ers (4-2)   (8:20pm NBC)

The Falcons are flying high after their win in Buffalo last week and the 49ers are super beat up coming into this game. The 49ers are dealing with a multitude of injuries, particularly on the defensive side. They recently lost linebacker Fred Warner to a season-ending ankle injury. Quarterback Brock Purdy's status is uncertain due to a toe injury, and backup QB Mac Jones is battling knee and oblique issues. All that said, I’m still picking the 49ers to win this game.

Monday, October 20th

Buccaneers (5-1) @ Lions (4-2) (7pm ABC, ESPN)

The Bucs haven’t lost on the road and the Lions haven’t lost at home. I hope this game is high scoring. I like both teams so I just don’t want anyone to get hurt. I’m picking the Lions to win this game but I need Baker Mayfield to put up a ton of points.

Texans (2-3) @ Seahawks (4-2) (7:15pm ESPN)

I’m picking the Seahawks to win, but I need it to be a low scoring game because my opponent has JSN. Poop!

BYE WEEK: Bills, Ravens

GO G-MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the edit Eric!
