Regular Season Week 9

Happy Halloween. Also, Monday of this week the N.F.L., N.B.A., M.L.B., N.H.L. and M.L.S. all competed at the same time. We call this the Sports Equinox. What a great time of year for sports!

Did you survive Bye-magedon? I did not. I lost in both fantasy leagues, one of which knocked me out of 1st place all the way to 3rd. And we won’t even talk about my other league. My Giants lost, and on National Tight End’s Day my TE Jake Ferguson racked up 0.0 points. Week 8 was NOT my week.  The Jets finally got their first win, so that tracks with my awful week.

I have changed my fantasy team name again; “Cursed.” It seems to fit. I started out the season with “Won’t you be my Nabers” then after he left with a season ending injury I changed the name to “The Fantastic 44!” Now Skattebo is out for the rest of the season. I’m just going with Cursed. CMC Ya Next Season 5-3, Cursed 3-5.

Also, I went 11-2 in picks.

Let’s jump into the recap!

Vikings @ Chargers 10-37

The Chargers crushed the Vikings with Justin Herbert throwing three touchdowns and rushing for 62 yards. Rookie running back Kimani Vidal added 117 yards and a score, helping  the Chargers rack up 207 rushing yards to Minnesota’s 34. Ouch. Carson Wentz struggled again for the Vikings and really couldn’t get anything going.

Fun fact: The Chargers debuted their all-navy "Super Chargers" uniforms for this primetime matchup, and promptly delivered their most lopsided win of the season.

NY Jets @ Bengals  39-38

The Jets stunned the Bengals, and the rest of the planet, rallying from a 15 point fourth quarter deficit behind Breece Hall’s 133 rushing yards and a surprise touchdown pass to tight end Mason Taylor. Justin Fields led the Jets to scores on seven of their final eight drives, snapping a 10 quarter touchdown drought and earning head coach Aaron Glenn his first career win. Joe Flacco threw two touchdowns for Cincinnati, but the Bengals defense collapsed late, allowing 23 fourth-quarter points.

Fun fact: Breece Hall became the first Jets running back since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2010 to throw a touchdown pass, delivering the game-winner with 1:54 left.

Bears @ Ravens 16-30

The Tyler Huntley led Ravens snapped a four game losing streak with this win. Derrick Henry was the hero for Baltimore with two rushing touchdowns on the day. Chicago led 6-0 early but was outscored 30-10 the rest of the way, with Caleb Williams throwing a costly fourth quarter interception that led to a Ravens touchdown. Baltimore’s defense held the Bears scoreless for two quarters and sealed the game with a late pick by Nate Wiggins.

Fun fact: Tyler Huntley completed his first nine passes and finished with a 77% completion rate, his best in any NFL start to date.

Dolphins @ Falcons 34-10

This was one of the picks I got wrong. The Dolphins dominated the Falcons, snapping a three game losing streak behind Tua Tagovailoa’s season best four touchdown passes. Miami outgained Atlanta 338-213 and never trailed, while the Falcons, missing QB Michael Penix Jr., struggled to convert third downs and failed to mount a comeback. Kirk Cousins, starting in Penix’s place, couldn’t find rhythm, and Atlanta’s defense allowed scores on five of Miami’s first six drives.

Fun fact: Tagovailoa wore a tinted visor for the first time in his NFL career—and promptly delivered his most efficient game of the season, leading Miami to its highest point total of 2025.

Bills @ Panthers 40-9

The Bills annihilated the Panthers, fueled by James Cook’s career high 219 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Josh Allen accounted for three scores and broke an NFL record by becoming the first player to run and throw for a touchdown in 46 different games. Carolina, missing Bryce Young, struggled offensively with Andy Dalton under center and gave up 411 total yards while turning the ball over three times.

Fun fact: Josh Allen improved to 8-0 in games following a bye week, continuing his streak as one of the NFL’s most dominant post-bye performers.

49ers @ Texans 15-26

The Texans defeated the 49ers powered by C.J. Stroud’s season high 318 passing yards and two touchdowns. Houston’s defense sacked Mac Jones multiple times and held San Francisco to just 65 first-half yards, while the Texans offense racked up 475 total yards and converted nine third downs. Despite a late push, the 49ers couldn’t overcome early struggles and dropped to 5-3 on the season.

Fun fact: This was the first matchup between Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans and his former team, the 49ers, where he spent six seasons as a defensive assistant before taking the Houston job in 2023.

NY Giants @ Eagles 20-38

I had no expectation of winning this game. Like zero. But I was still somehow, frustrated, shocked, surprised, and deeply gutted at the end of this game. I know we embarrassed the Eagles just two weeks ago, but they didn’t have to go and buy the refs to win this game. In the second quarter, the Eagles attempted the tush push on 4th and 1 near the Giants 10 yard line. As Jalen Hurts surged forward, Kayvon Thibodeaux stripped the ball, and the Giants recovered. But officials ruled Hurts down by contact before the fumble, despite replay showing the ball coming loose mid push. This call extended the Eagles drive, which ended in a touchdown and shifted momentum.  The Giants were flagged seven times for 54 yards, but the real issue was the timing and nature of the calls. Several false starts on Eagles linemen during the tush push attempts were missed, but called in OTHER GAMES THIS SUNDAY.  Giants defenders, including Brian Burns and Thibodeaux, were visibly frustrated by what they saw as unfair officiating that favored Philadelphia. The crazy thing was, even with the lopsided calls the Giants were still able to move the ball. Then tragedy struck. After Cam Skattebo scored his first touchdown the Giants were driving down the field again midway through the second quarter. Cam leapt for a reception across the middle when Eagles linebacker Zach Baun collided into the back of his legs. He landed awkwardly, and his right ankle dislocated with an open fracture, a severe injury where the bone breaks through the skin. As I write this I am holding back tears. I didn’t hold back the tears on Sunday. Cursed. The Giants are cursed. I’ve pretty much blocked the rest of the game so I can’t comment on it. Skattebo was carted off the field and rushed to the hospital where he had surgery that night. It was a successful surgery and he’s on the long road to recovery. I’m calling the Giants season, officially over.

Fun fact: In a rare show of sportsmanship Big Dom, Eagles Chief of Security Dom DiSandro, visited Skattebo in the hospital and brought him cheesesteaks and pizza from Angelo’s Pizzeria in South Philly, a gesture that drew praise across the league.

Browns @ Patriots 13-32

The Patriots pounded the Browns, erupting for 21 third quarter points behind QB Drake Maye’s three touchdown passes. Cleveland led 7-3 early but couldn’t keep pace, as Maye connected with Kayshon Boutte, Hunter Henry, and Stefon Diggs for scores while the Patriots defense forced two turnovers. Despite Myles Garrett setting a franchise record with five sacks, the Browns fell to 2-6 heading into their bye week.

Fun fact: Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel revived individual pregame introductions at Gillette Stadium for the first time since 2001—and the team responded with its highest-scoring home game of the season.

Buccaneers @ Saints 23-3

The Buccaneers crushed the Saints, powered by a dominant defensive performance that included four takeaways and a pick six from edge rusher Anthony Nelson. Tampa Bay’s Chase McLaughlin nailed three field goals from beyond 50 yards, while the Saints struggled offensively, rotating quarterbacks Spencer Rattler and rookie Tyler Shough to little effect. The win moved the Bucs to 6-2 and solidified their lead in the NFC South, while New Orleans fell to 1-7.

Fun fact: Anthony Nelson became the first Buccaneer since Ronde Barber in 2001 to record a sack, a forced fumble, and an interception return for a touchdown in the same game.

Titans  @ Colts 14-38

The Colts dominated the Titans, improving to 7-1 behind Jonathan Taylor’s three touchdown performance and Daniel Jones’ 272 passing yards. Taylor exploded for 153 rushing yards on just 12 carries, including an 80-yard touchdown run, while Jones tossed three TD passes to three different receivers. Tennessee’s Cam Ward threw for 259 yards and a touchdown, but the Titans fell to 1-7 as their defense surrendered 8.1 yards per play and couldn’t contain Indy’s balanced attack.

Fun fact: Jonathan Taylor became the first player in Colts history to record four games with three total touchdowns in a single season—and it’s only Week 8.

Cowboys @ Broncos 24-44

The Broncos routed the Cowboys, extending their home win streak to nine games behind Bo Nix’s four touchdown passes and RJ Harvey’s three-score explosion. Denver’s offense averaged 7.5 yards per play and scored on seven of ten drives, while their defense sacked Dak Prescott twice and forced a key interception.

Fun fact: The Broncos haven’t lost to the Cowboys since 1995, winning eight straight matchups, including three while wearing their throwback uniforms, which they debuted again for this game.

Packers @ Steelers 35-25

The Packers rallied from a 16-7 halftime deficit to defeat the Steelers on Sunday Night Football, powered by Jordan Love’s season high 360 passing yards and three touchdowns. Green Bay scored on five straight second-half possessions, while the defense held Pittsburgh to just three points until the final two minutes. Aaron Rodgers, facing his former team for the first time, threw two touchdowns but couldn’t match Love’s precision and pace.

Fun fact: Tight end Tucker Kraft had a career night on National Tight Ends Day, racking up 143 receiving yards and two touchdowns—the most by a Packers TE since Jermichael Finley in 2011.

Super Fun Fact: Aaron Rodgers came into this game with only one team left to beat out of all the 32 teams in the NFL. He couldn’t do it. Rodgers has defeated EVERY team in the NFL but the Packers. One of the announcers said Rodgers must have used to LOVE the “Go-Pack-Go” chant and now it haunts him!

Commanders @ Chiefs 7-28

The Chiefs manhandled the Commanders, pulling away in the second half behind Patrick Mahomes’ 299 passing yards and three touchdowns. Kareem Hunt scored twice and Travis Kelce added a touchdown as Kansas City’s offense rebounded from a sloppy first half that included two Mahomes turnovers. The Chiefs defense stifled Marcus Mariota, holding Washington scoreless over the final 30 minutes and improving to 5-3 on the season.

Fun fact: Travis Kelce’s touchdown was the 83rd of his regular-season career, tying Priest Holmes for the most in Chiefs franchise history.

WEEK 9

Thursday, October 30th

Ravens (2-5) @ Dolphins (2-6) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

Lamar Jackson is expected to start for the Ravens. He’s been out for 4 weeks with a hamstring injury. I’m picking the Ravens to win this game, but I would not be surprised if the Dolphins played spoilers.

Sunday, November 2nd

Falcons (3-4) @ Patriots (6-2) (1pm CBS )

I’ve got to go with the winning streak and the home field advantage. I am picking the Patriots to win this game.

Chargers (6-2) @ Titans (1-7) (1pm CBS)

The Chargers are heavy favorites to win this game, and I think they will. I am picking the Chargers for the win.

Bears (4-3) @ Bengals (3-5) (1pm CBS)

The Bears are slight favorites to win this game and that is in part due to Joe Flacco being questionable for the Bengals. With Jake Browning possibly getting the start for Cincy I’m going to pick the Bears to win this game.

Colts (7-1) @ Steelers (4-3)  (1pm CBS)

I’m all in on the Colts to beat the Steelers and that's who I’m picking!

49ers (5-3) @ NY Giants (2-6) (1pm CBS)

Ugh. I’ll be rooting for the Giants, but I have no expectation for them to win. I’m picking the 49ers to win this game. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised. Doubtful. Go G-Men!

Broncos (5-3)  @ Texans (3-4) (1pm FOX)

I was going to pick the Broncos to upset the Texans but then I remembered that Denver lost Pat Surtain to a pectoral injury. I’m going to go against better judgement and pick the Texans to win this game.

Vikings (3-4) @ Lions (5-2)  (1pm FOX)

The Lions are coming off their bye and should be well rested and ready to take on their division rival. I’m picking the Lions to win this game.

Panthers (4-4) @ Packers (5-1-1)  (1pm FOX)

Even though the Panthers have looked good recently, they did not look good last weekend. I’m picking the Packers to beat the Panthers.

Jaguars (4-3)  @ Raiders (2-5) (4:05pm FOX)

The Jags are also coming off their bye week while the Raiders continue to struggle. I am picking the Jags to win this game.

Saints (1-7) @ Rams (5-2) (4:05pm FOX)

The Rams too, are coming off their bye and that’s who I am picking to beat the Saints.

Chiefs (5-3) @ Bills (5-2) (4:25pm CBS)

The Bills are a rare underdog at Highmark Stadium as they host the Chiefs. Obviously I’ll be rooting for the Bills. I am also picking the Bills to win this game. This will depend on a lot of things, mainly the refs calling a fair game. We all know they favor the Chiefs. Sooooo…. The Bills are up against the Chiefs and the Refs. I’m still picking the Bills to win this game. GO BILLS!  You’re my only hope.

Seahawks (5-2) @ Commanders (3-5) (8:20pm NBC)

The Seahawks will be coming off their bye week with the Commanders coming in banged up after just 5 days of rest playing Monday night. That said, I’m picking the Seahawks to win this game.

Monday, November 3rd

Cardinals (2-5) @ Cowboys (3-4-1) (8:15pm ABC, ESPN)

The Cardinals are coming off their bye and the Cowboys are coming off a humiliating loss. I hope they lose again. I’ll be rooting for the Cardinals but picking the Cowboys to win this game.

BYE WEEK: Browns, Jets, Eagles, Buccaneers

GO G-MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Shenoa Report Week 8 '25 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 23, 2025
Regular Season Week 8

Week 8 brings the first Bye-magedon. With 6 teams on bye this week fantasy football is going to be the most fun. This week I get to play the love of my life in one league. If Garett Wilson can’t go for the Jets, I won’t be able to start a full team. So, I’m leaning heavily on the Jets to win in fantasy. Cool. Speaking of the Jets,  there is still one winless team in the NFL. Any guesses? You got it, it’s  the New York Jets!!!!!

I won in one league and lost in the other, CMC Ya Next Season 5-2, The Fantastic 44! 3-4.

Also, I went 12-2 in picks.

Let’s jump into the recap!

Steelers @ Bengals 31-33

With a combined Quarterback age of over 80, The Icy-Hot Bowl did not disappoint, especially if you had Ja’Marr Chase on your fantasy team. I did not, but my opponent did… I knew I had a loss on the week as soon as this game ended. Ja’Marr Chase torched Pittsburgh’s secondary and my fantasy hopes of beating my opponent. Joe Flacco avoided turnovers and outdueled Aaron Rodgers, who threw two critical interceptions. Haha. Evan McPherson’s 36-yard field goal with seven seconds left sealed the deal for Cincinnati, keeping their season hopes flickering.

Fun Fact: At 16 receptions, Ja’Marr Chase set a new Bengals single-game record, besting Carl Pickens’ longstanding mark from 1998.

Rams @ Jaguars  35-7

The Rams enjoyed their trip across the pond. They dismantled the Jaguars at a wet and rainy Wembley Stadium behind a vintage five touchdown outing from Matthew Stafford. Three of said touchdowns went to Davante Adams, who is on my fantasy team, thank you VERY much. The Jaguars offense sputtered from start to finish, undone by penalties and poor protection for Trevor Lawrence. Rookie Travis Hunter’s late touchdown was Jacksonville’s lone highlight, but by then, the game was well out of reach.

Fun Fact: Stafford’s five passing touchdowns marked the most ever thrown in an NFL international game, while Adams became the first receiver with three touchdowns in such a contest.

Raiders @ Chiefs 0-31

The return of receiver Rashee Rice electrified the Chiefs, who demolished the Raiders in KC’s first regular season shutout under Andy Reid. Patrick Mahomes, whom my opponent started, is having a season. Cool. He led two marathon touchdown drives of 16 and 17 plays. The Raiders, meanwhile, managed a puny three first downs and were not competitive throughout. I mean they only gave RB Ashton Jeanty six carries.

Fun Fact: The Raiders three first downs were the fewest by any NFL team since Oakland (also the Raiders) managed just three against Atlanta in 2008.

Dolphins @ Browns 6-31

Cleveland snapped an ugly losing streak by dismantling the Dolphins.  Quinshon Judkins had a three touchdown afternoon and the Browns defense was on point. The Dolphins imploded under pressure, as Tua Tagovailoa tossed three interceptions, all on his side of the field, and Miami managed just one score, falling to 1-6 on the year. Tyson Campbell put the icing on the Browns win with a 34 yard pick six, marking their best defensive showing yet this season.

Fun Fact: Judkins became the first Browns rookie since 2000 to score three touchdowns in a single game.

Patriots @ Titans 31-13

Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel returned to Nashville for the first time after being the Titans head coach. QB Drake Maye made sure his return would be a good one as he led the Patriots to their fourth straight win. Maye barely missed (21 of 23 passing), K’Lavon Chaisson had two sacks and a defensive score, and New England rattled off two TDs in just 11 seconds in the third quarter to put the game away. Rookie Cam Ward continued his struggles for Tennessee, turning the ball over twice and getting sacked five times by New England’s rejuvenated front.

Fun Fact: Drake Maye became just the third player under 24 in NFL history to post 200+ yards passing and a 100+ passer rating in six straight games—joining Patrick Mahomes and Dan Marino.

Panthers @ NY Jets  13-6

Defense was the star as Carolina stifled the still winless Jets. Cornerback Jaycee Horn snared two impressive interceptions, one a highlight reel one hander.  While defensive tackle Derrick Brown and rookie linebacker Nic Scourton anchored a six-sack effort for defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero’s resurgent defense. Bryce Young exited with an ankle injury, but the Panthers did enough offensively behind a split backfield to get the win.

Fun Fact: Carolina generated a season high six sacks in the game, having managed only five in the six games prior.

Saints @ Bears 14-26

Chicago’s defense feasted on Spencer Rattler and the Saints, forcing four turnovers and sacking the quarterback four times en route to another home win. The Bears jumped out to a 20-0 lead thanks to D’Andre Swift and rookie Kyle Monangai who surpassed 200 scrimmage yards together. Despite a brief Saints rally, Chicago’s defensive urgency (including three late picks) preserved their fourth consecutive victory, a streak not matched since 2018.

Fun Fact: In a fun twist, a fourth-down snap miscue in the red zone for Chicago prompted a false start, allowing the Bears to salvage a field goal rather than lose points on a busted play.

Eagles @ Vikings 28-22

Jalen Hurts remembered he could actually throw the ball down field and not just run. He threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns, including a 79 yard bomb to DeVonta Smith. The Vikings moved the ball well but Carson Wentz’s pick-six and two first-half turnovers proved too costly, and Minnesota settled for field goals on five of six red zone trips. A.J. Brown (121 yards, two TDs) and Smith (career-high 183 yards, TD) overwhelmed one of the NFL’s stingiest pass defenses.

Fun Fact: Hurts became just the third Eagles QB to post a perfect passer rating game, joining Nick Foles (2013) and Donovan McNabb (2007).

Colts @ Chargers 38-24

The Colts pressed every button on offense, scoring touchdowns on six of their first seven drives and capitalizing on Justin Herbert’s two early interceptions. Jonathan Taylor punched in three rushing TDs, while Daniel Jones ran Shane Steichen’s offense to near perfection, calmly distributing the ball all over the field. Despite big yardage late from rookie Oronde Gadsden II (164 receiving yards), the Chargers errors left them too steep a hill to climb as Indy’s defense bent but didn’t break.

Fun Fact: Taylor has more three-plus rushing TD games this season (three in seven games) than the entire rest of the NFL combined.

NY Giants @ Broncos 32-33

FIRE SHANE BOWEN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m still so flippin mad about this game. Why hasn’t Shane Bowen been fired yet?!?!?! I mean, clean house. Daboll should go too. The play calling in the fourth quarter was absolute GARBAGE. The players didn’t lose this game, the coaches did. I place all the blame on leadership, not the players. All we had to do was run out the clock. With 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter we had a two possession lead, I’m not even going to mention that we SHUT OUT the Broncos the first three quarters… I’ll say it again. All we had to do was run out the clock. But no. Daboll calls for Dart to throw 3 bombs, therefore going 3 and out. Then fricken Shane Bowen decided to call soft defense and allow 3 F-ING TOUCHDOWNS IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!! FFFFFUUUUUUUKKKKKKKKDIODDIDIDFOIJADKJSLGRDGJRDLAGOF;NKDMOGIHGEOIRA

Big breath. Sigh.

AND ANOTHER THING. In allllllll of Daboll’s immense wisdom, he decided to go with a kicker who lost a kicking competition at Rutgers two years ago. He was cut in College, but he’s cool for the NFL?!?!?!?!??!?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The first 3 quarters were brilliant. I mean, absolutely amazing. I watched in disbelief at the level of competition my boys were playing at. The defense was rock solid. I mean we shut out the DENVER BRONCOS!!! Our offense was scoring. It was incredible.  The only bad thing was the missed extra point by the kicker in the second quarter and then, because of that, the failed two point conversion after the lack of trust from said kicker. Fast forward to the fourth quarter with 37 seconds to go. We took the lead again but kicker Jude McAtamney then missed another extra point, pretty much sealing the Giants fate.  You see, I’d lost all confidence in Bowen at that point. I just knew the Broncos were going to win by a field goal. McAtamney missed  2 extra points. We lost by one point. I’m still so mad.

Not so fun fact: The Broncos became the first team ever to score 33 or more points after being shut out through the first three quarters.

Packers @ Cardinals 27-23

The Packers survived another late-game scare, rallying past the Cardinals 27-23 with two clutch fourth-down conversions and a defensive masterclass from Micah Parsons, who logged a career-high three sacks and 10 pressures. Josh Jacobs, who was questionable with illness and truly a game time decision,  scored twice, including the go-ahead touchdown. Jacoby Brissett, filling in for an injured Kyler Murray,  kept the Cardinals competitive through the air, but it wasn’t enough to get the home win.

Fun Fact: Parsons became the first Packer to record a three-sack game since Za’Darius Smith in 2020, and he leads the NFL in pressures this year.

Commanders @ Cowboys 22-44

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb returned to action with a 74-yard score and 110 yards receiving, while TE Jake Ferguson caught two TDs and CB DaRon Bland iced the blowout with a 68-yard pick-six off Marcus Mariota. Washington, now missing QB Jayden Daniels to another injury, simply couldn’t keep up as Dallas found the end zone in all four quarters and set a new franchise mark for consecutive three-TD, zero-interception games by a quarterback.

Fun Fact: Ferguson became the first tight end in NFL history to record 50 catches and six touchdowns through seven games. (That’s my tight end in fantasy!)

Falcons @ 49ers 10-20

The 49ers rediscovered their ground game, riding Christian McCaffrey’s dual-threat brilliance (201 total yards, two TDs) to a 20-10 win on the road against Atlanta. Despite missing stars Fred Warner and Nick Bosa, the SF defense swarmed Falcons rookie Michael Penix Jr., who was 0-for-9 under pressure and managed only one touchdown drive. Key late stops, including a fourth-down denial, let the Niners remain at the top of the NFC West with their fifth victory.

Fun Fact: McCaffrey surpassed Marshall Faulk and Priest Holmes for the most games all time with 100+ rushing and 70+ receiving yards (seven). (That’s my running back in my winning league, I have Saquon in my losing league, go figure.)

Buccaneers @ Lions 9-24

The spotlight belonged to Jahmyr Gibbs, who electrified Ford Field with 218 total yards and two scores, as the Lions handled the Bucs. Even with a banged-up secondary, Detroit’s defense forced two first-half turnovers and limited Baker Mayfield’s offense to nine points, neutralizing the run and bottling up a depleted receiving corps. Mayfield lost Mike Evans (injury) and struggled to find rhythm behind poor pass protection, while Detroit’s running attack delivered highlight-reel moments including a 78-yard Gibbs touchdown run.

Fun Fact: Gibbs’ 78-yard TD run is tied for the fifth-longest against Tampa Bay in team history.

Texans @ Seahawks 19-27

Seattle’s defense dominated, sacking C.J. Stroud three times and stopping three fourth-down attempts. Sam Darnold struggled under pressure, committing two turnovers, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba shined on offense with 123 receiving yards and a touchdown. Houston’s only sign of life came in garbage time.

Fun Fact: Seattle held Houston to 2-of-15 on third downs—the worst conversion rate by any team this season.

WEEK 8

Thursday, October 23rd

Vikings (3-3) @ Chargers (4-3) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

The Chargers are favored in this game, which features a contest between two teams with similar records coming off Week 7 losses. This will be the first Thursday night game for the Vikings this season. I’m picking the Chargers to win this game.

Sunday, October 26th

NY Jets (0-7) @ Bengals  (3-4) (1pm CBS )

The Cincinnati Bengals are favored to win against the New York Jets. Most expert betting models project the Bengals with a high probability of winning, citing the Jets' winless record and the Bengals' offensive improvements since quarterback Joe Flacco's arrival. I’m going to have to agree with the experts, I’m picking the Bengals to win this game.

Bears (4-2) @ Ravens (1-5) (1pm CBS)

The Bears enter this game on a four-game winning streak, while the Ravens are coming off a bye week, which means their quarterback situation may still be uncertain. The Bears have a historical edge in the all-time series against the Ravens, having won four of seven matchups. I’ll be rooting for the Bears, but picking the Ravens to win this game.

Dolphins (1-6) @ Falcons (3-3) (1pm CBS)

The Falcons are favored, with the struggling Dolphins traveling to Atlanta for the matchup. In their last meeting, the Falcons defeated the Dolphins and I think that’s going to happen again. I’m picking the Falcons to win this game.

Bills (4-2) @ Panthers (4-3)  (1pm FOX)

The Buffalo Bills are favored to win against the Carolina Panthers, who are likely to be without starting quarterback Bryce Young due to injury.  The Carolina defense has improved this season, ranking in the top 10 against both the pass and the run. The Bills are coming off their bye and should be refreshed and ready to go. I’m picking the Bills to win this game. Go Bills!

49ers (5-2) @ Texans (2-4) (1pm FOX)

Most experts predict the 49ers will win their matchup against the Texans. Despite numerous key injuries, including starting quarterback Brock Purdy, the 49ers have consistently found ways to win this season behind a dominant ground game led by Christian McCaffrey and an opportunistic defense. The Texans offense has struggled recently, and their top-tier defense may not be enough to overcome San Francisco's overall roster strength and coaching prowess. I’m picking the 49ers to win this game.

NY Giants (2-5)  @ Eagles (5-2) (1pm FOX)

In a divisional rematch, the Eagles are seeking revenge for their Week 6 loss to the Giants and are playing at home, where they have a long-standing winning streak against their rivals. The Giants, meanwhile, are coming off a morale-crushing loss to the Broncos after blowing a 19-point fourth-quarter lead. Yeah, I’m pretty sure we aren’t going to sweep the Eagles this season. I’m picking the Giants to lose another heart breaking game. Go G-Men.

Browns (2-5) @ Patriots (5-2)  (1pm FOX)

The Patriots are favored to win this Sunday’s matchup against the Browns, with most analysts predicting a comfortable New England victory by 7–10 points. That doesn’t say much for the Browns. I’m picking the Pats to win this game.

Buccaneers (5-2) @ Saints (1-6)  (4:05pm FOX)

The Buccaneers are favored to beat the Saints this Sunday, but it could be closer than expected due to key injuries and short rest for Tampa Bay. I’ve got to pick the Bucs to win, mostly because the Saints only win this season was against the Giants and I’m still mad about it.

Titans  (1-6)  @ Colts (6-1) (4:25pm CBS)

I’m starting “Indiana  Jones”  this week in fantasy. Therefore I am picking the Colts to win. I hope this time they’ll keep DJ in the entire game, so I can get more fantasy points!

Cowboys (3-3-1) @ Broncos (5-2) (4:25pm CBS)

NOW I’m rooting for the Broncos and picking them to win.

Packers (4-1-1) @ Steelers (4-2)  (8:20pm NBC)

Oh man, A-aron is going up against his old team. This is going to be fun! I’ll be rooting for and picking the Packers to ruin Rodgers’ night.

Monday, October 27th

Commanders (3-4) @ Chiefs (4-3) (8:15pm ABC, ESPN)

The Commanders will be without their starting QB and it seems like the rest of their offense also has the injury bug. I’m going to have to pick the Chiefs to win this game. Darn.

BYE WEEK: Lions, Raiders, Rams, Cardinals, Seahawks, Jaguars

GO G-MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Shenoa Report
October 16 2025
Regular Season Week 7

Hey Shenoa, how’d your week 6 go?

THE NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS BEAT THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES!!!!!!!!!

That’s how my week went, thanks for asking.

Guys. I’ve been walking around allllll week smiling, wearing my Giants gear. The last time the Giants won on a Thursday night, Jaxson Dart was 12. This was a huge win. More on that in just a few. :)

There are no more undefeated teams in the NFL this season but there is still one winless team. Give it up for the New York Jets!!!!!

I won in both leagues, CMC Ya Next Season 4-2, The Fantastic 44! 3-3.

Also, I went 10-5 in picks.

Let’s jump into the recap!

Eagles @ NY Giants 17-34

Sooooooooooo. I got this pick wrong. It’s ok. I’m ok. I’ve watched this game twice now. Once live and once the next day. Why did I watch this game twice? Well, Thursday night I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak, so I didn’t really enjoy the win fully. Seriously though the Giants are the definition of false hope. But not this night. This may get lengthy. I changed my fantasy team name after this game because of Cam Skattebo. Cam, who wears 44, had himself a historic night. Something Saquon never did, might I add. Skattebo had 98 rushing yards, THREE rushing touchdowns, 17 back flips, a lot of yelling, and one ripped shirt.  Ok, I may have elaborated on the back flips. I’m getting ahead of myself. We didn’t score first because Philly scored a field goal on their opening drive. But, Jaxson Dart has now scored on all three of his opening drives as a starter. Dart had one rushing touchdown on the opening drive and one passing touchdown to Wan’Dale Robinson later in the first quarter. Philly tried to make it interesting early with a Dallas Goedert touchdown to follow the Robinson touchdown to end the first quarter. The Eagles added another touchdown in the second quarter by cheating. I mean, they had to do the “tush push” FOUR  consecutive times with their  O line not being called for a false start EVERY TIME. That’s why they are so successful at this play. BECAUSE THE REFS AREN’T CALLING THE EARLY MOVEMENT!!!!!! Even Stephen A. Smith has changed his tune on this ridiculous play.  Initially he supported the tush push, but changed his mind after the Eagles used it four consecutive times and officials missed offsides penalties. He now argues that if offsides penalties can't be consistently called on the play, it should be banned to ensure fairness. I can’t believe I’m agreeing with Stephan A. Smith. But I do. Ok. So the Eagles had the lead after the cheating but then entered The Fantastic 44, Cam Skattebo. Skattebo had the rest of the scores for the night. He literally ran all over the Eagles. It was amazing. In other news, the Giants defense forced three turnovers and held Saquon Barkley to 41 rushing yards. One of the turnovers was a Cor'Dale Flott intercepted pass from Hurts to set up one of Cam’s rushing touchdowns. Hurts had only two other interceptions in his last 15 games, one in the Super Bowl and one back in November of 2024.

Fun Facts (because I couldn’t pick just one):

This was the Giants largest win over the Eagles since 2011.

Cam Skattebo had a hat trick, punching in three 1-yard touchdowns, becoming the first Giants back to do so since Brandon Jacobs in 2008.

The Eagles were shut out in the second half, a rare feat for a team averaging over 28 points per game entering Week 6.

The Giants scored in every quarter, something they hadn’t accomplished since Week 2 of 2022.

Lastly, karma is releasing your documentary on the day you think you are going to have a massive win and a warm homecoming only to have 41 rushing yards on the day and a humiliating loss.

Saquon who? We’ve got Skattebo!!!!

Broncos @ NY Jets 13-11

Denver escaped Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a two-point win thanks to their defense who had nine sacks on the day and a late Wil Lutz field goal. Bo Nix threw one touchdown, while the Jets managed -10 net passing yards.

Fun Fact: The Broncos nine sacks were their most in a game since 1996, which was also against the Jets, for those who believe in football symmetry.

Browns @ Steelers 9-23

Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdowns as the Steelers extended Cleveland’s losing streak in Pittsburgh to 22 games. Browns rookie Dillon Gabriel was sacked six times and never reached the end zone.

Fun Fact: The Browns haven’t won in Pittsburgh since 2003.

Chargers  @ Dolphins 29-27

Justin Herbert and Ladd McConkey connected late to thwart Miami’s rally, despite two TDs from De’Von Achane. Both teams combined for 56 rushing attempts and 252 ground yards.

Fun Fact: This was the Chargers first win in Miami since 2014

Patriots @ Saints 25-19

Drake Maye threw three touchdowns as New England held off a Saints comeback bid. I was definitely sweating after this game as my opponent had Maye in her starting lineup and it did not look good for me. Kayshon Boutte scored twice, while Alvin Kamara was limited to 31 rushing yards.

Fun Fact: Maye is the first Patriots rookie QB with three TD passes in a road game since 1983.

Rams @ Ravens 17-3

Matthew Stafford and Kyren Williams powered L.A. past a depleted Baltimore squad, which managed only 72 passing yards. The Rams defense forced two turnovers and allowed zero second-half points.

Fun Fact: Baltimore’s three points were their lowest home output since 2005

Cardinals @ Colts 27-31

Daniel Jones led Indy to a comeback win with two fourth-quarter touchdowns, overcoming Jacoby Brissett’s 320-yard day. Jonathan Taylor added 123 rushing yards and a score.

Fun Fact: The Colts are 5-1 for the first time since 2013.

Seahawks @ Jaguars 20-12

Just when I thought the Jags were good… I got this pick wrong. Sam Darnold threw two TDs and Jaxon Smith-Njigba exploded for 162 yards as Seattle’s defense sacked Trevor Lawrence seven times. Jacksonville managed just 27 rushing yards.

Fun Fact: Smith-Njigba’s 61-yard TD was Seattle’s longest play of the season.

Cowboys @ Panthers 27-30

Rico Dowdle had himself a revenge game, with 183 rushing yards and 239 scrimmage yards. Dak Prescott and George Pickens kept Dallas swinging, with Pickens hauling nine grabs for 168 and a touchdown, but the Panthers D stuffed the Cowboys in the red zone late and Bryce Young finally found his deep-ball groove. Carolina’s defense, led by Derrick Brown, locked up the Cowboys ground game (19 carries for 31 yards) and tackled its way out of the NFC South cellar… for now.

Fun Fact: Dowdle’s 239 scrimmage yards were the most ever by a player against his former team — and if you need a metaphor for sweet revenge, this is it.

Titans @ Raiders 10-20

The Raiders snapped a four game losing streak by dominating a disjointed Titans team  that promptly fired its head coach the next morning. Yup, Titans head coach Brian Callahan  was fired after a 1-5 start to the 2025 season. The team named senior offensive assistant Mike McCoy the interim head coach.

Fun Fact: The Raiders snapped a three-game losing streak with their first win over the Titans since 2019.

49ers @ Buccaneers 19-30

Baker Mayfield threw two TDs as Tampa Bay controlled the game, while San Francisco’s offense sputtered in the red zone.

Fun Fact: The Bucs are 5-1 for the first time since their 2002 Super Bowl season.

Bengals @ Packers 18-27

Jordan Love delivered 74 fourth quarter passing yards and a TD to seal the win, overcoming Joe Flacco’s late surge for Cincinnati. I was just happy that Josh Jacobs had a good game for me in fantasy.

Fun Fact: Flacco became the oldest QB to start for the Bengals at 40 years old.

Lions @ Chiefs 17-30

I got this pick wrong too. Patrick Mahomes shredded Detroit’s banged-up secondary for three TDs as Kansas City handed the Lions their first loss in five weeks.

Fun Fact: Mahomes now has 10 career games with 3+ TDs and zero picks in prime time.

Bills @ Falcons 14-24

The Bills still need to get their act together and I got this pick wrong too! Ugh! Michael Penix Jr. outdueled Josh Allen with 250 passing yards and a TD, while Bijan Robinson ran for 170 yards to continue the beating.

Fun Fact: Robinson’s 170 yards were the most by a Falcons RB since Michael Turner in 2008.

Bears @ Commanders 25-24

It was déjà vu meets revenge as Caleb Williams erased the ghosts of last year’s Walk Off Hail Mary with a last second Jake Moody field goal giving the Bears the win. The Bears now a three straight wins, and more importantly, the Commanders lost.

Fun Fact: The Bears Kicker Jake Moody hit the game-winner just a week after suffering his first field goal block as a pro—an NFL redemption arc baked into a dramatic Monday night finish.

WEEK 7

Thursday, October 16th

Steelers (4-1) @ Bengals (2-4) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

The two oldest quarterbacks will face off in this Thursday night matchup. I don’t think the Bengals are going to win at home. I’m picking the Steelers to win this game but I hope it's low scoring, for fantasy purposes.

Sunday, October 19th

Rams (4-2) @ Jaguars  (4-2) (9:30am NFLN, NFL+)

Check the time again. We have another London game, this time at Wembley Stadium in London. The betting odds favor the Rams but I’m not so sure because Puka Nacua is injured and this game is in another country. The Jaguars are considered a good bet against the spread, especially with Nacua's potential absence. They are 4-2 against the spread this season. They also have a history of playing well in London games, having played 13 international games since 2013, compared to the Rams three during that same period. Therefore, I’m picking the Jags to win this game.

Raiders (2-4) @ Chiefs (3-3) (1pm CBS)

I think the Chiefs will win this game but I hope Maxx Crosby is a menace when it comes to Mahomes. My opponent is starting Patrick Mahomes as well as the KC defense so I’m hoping he has a less than impressive game.

Dolphins (1-5) @ Browns (1-5) (1pm CBS)

These teams aren’t good. I’m going with the home team for the win.

Patriots (4-2) @ Titans (1-5)  (1pm CBS)

I’m picking the Patriots to win this game.

Panthers (3-3) @ NY Jets  (0-6) (1pm FOX)

The Panthers haven’t won on the road yet this season, but the Jets haven’t won at home yet either. The Panthers are on a 3 win streak though. I’m going to pick the Panthers to win this game because the Jets haven’t been able to get it done yet.

Saints (1-5) @ Bears (3-2)  (1pm FOX)

I’m going to pick the Bears to win this game. Home field advantage baby.

Eagles (4-2) @ Vikings (3-2)  (1pm FOX)

Even with home field advantage, I don’t think the Vikings will win this game. I mean, I hope I’m wrong, but I think the Eagles will tush push their way to another victory.

Colts (5-1) @ Chargers (4-2)  (4:05pm CBS)

Both teams have strengths and both have weaknesses. Therefore I’m going with the home team for the win.

NY Giants (2-4)  @ Broncos (4-2) (4:05pm CBS)

Ok. So you’re telling me there’s a chance. Spoken like a true Giants fan. First I am going to tell you all the reasons why the Giants could get this win. 1.) The Giants are coming off a dominant win against the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles, giving them newfound momentum and confidence. 2.) The rookie duo of Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo has injected new life into the Giants offense, showcasing explosiveness and a never-say-die attitude. 3.) The Giants played on Thursday night, giving them extra rest compared to the Broncos, who are traveling back home from London. With all that said I’ll be rooting for the Giants but I’d be even more delusional to think they’d win two in a row. I’m picking the Broncos to win this game. Go G-MEN!

Packers (3-1-1) @ Cardinals (2-4) (4:25pm FOX)

The Packers seem to be less banged up than the Cards therefore, I’m picking the Packers to win this game.

Commanders (3-3) @ Cowboys (2-3-1) (4:25pm FOX)

I mean, in this divisional NFC East game I’m hoping it ends in a tie. I’m going to pick the Cowboys to win at home because that would be better for the Giants.

Falcons (3-2) @ 49ers (4-2)   (8:20pm NBC)

The Falcons are flying high after their win in Buffalo last week and the 49ers are super beat up coming into this game. The 49ers are dealing with a multitude of injuries, particularly on the defensive side. They recently lost linebacker Fred Warner to a season-ending ankle injury. Quarterback Brock Purdy's status is uncertain due to a toe injury, and backup QB Mac Jones is battling knee and oblique issues. All that said, I’m still picking the 49ers to win this game.

Monday, October 20th

Buccaneers (5-1) @ Lions (4-2) (7pm ABC, ESPN)

The Bucs haven’t lost on the road and the Lions haven’t lost at home. I hope this game is high scoring. I like both teams so I just don’t want anyone to get hurt. I’m picking the Lions to win this game but I need Baker Mayfield to put up a ton of points.

Texans (2-3) @ Seahawks (4-2) (7:15pm ESPN)

I’m picking the Seahawks to win, but I need it to be a low scoring game because my opponent has JSN. Poop!

The Shenoa Report Week 6 '25 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 9 2025
Regular Season Week 6

Cancer sucks. We have all been personally affected one way or another by that horrible word. In the month of October, while watching the NFL, you’ll see some rainbow colors on uniforms, as well as some rainbow prints on hats and hoodies. This is to show support, raise awareness, and bring attention to cancer, research, those lost, and the survivors. Since 2009, the first year of the NFL's Crucial Catch campaign, the NFL’s work has raised more than $35 million for the American Cancer Society and has supported over 840,000 cancer screenings. When you buy anything with the Crucial Catch logo on it from the NFL shop all proceeds go towards cancer research. The NFL does not retain any profits generated by royalties received due to the sale of Crucial Catch products. All dollars are donated to the American Cancer Society. Some cancers can be found early, before they have had a chance to grow and spread. The 5-year survival rate for many cancers is over 90% when detected early. Getting screened is crucial to catching cancer early when it may be easier to treat. Make your play and find your local cancer screening center. Please, get yourself checked, early detection saves lives. For the couple of minutes of being uncomfortable during the examination, the relief of knowing you’re ok outweighs the few minutes of discomfort.

There are no more undefeated teams in the NFL this season but there is still one winless team. Give it up for the New York Jets!!!!!

I lost in one league and won in the other, CMC Ya Next Season 3-2, Won’t You Be My Nabers 2-3.  Maybe my Nabers team needs another name. Suggestions welcome.

Also, I went 5-9 in my picks, because “Any given Sunday.” Teams that were supposed to win, I’m looking at you Bills, Giants, Eagles, Jets….. Didn’t. Jerks.

Let’s jump into the recap!

49ers @ Rams 26-23 OT

The Rams were heavy favorites to win this game at home. I guess that means the odds don’t really matter. I got this pick wrong and that’s frustrating. But I got a LOT of picks wrong in week 5.  The 49ers, led by a banana eating QB Mac Jones, stunned the Rams in overtime. Jones clarified that he ate three bananas during the game, despite a report during the broadcast suggesting he had eaten 11. He was eating the bananas to help with severe cramping and fatigue he was experiencing late in the game, which was a major factor in his ability to continue playing through the overtime victory. The original mention of "11 bananas" by the broadcast team was believed by some to be a joke or an exaggeration.

Vikings @ Browns 21-17

The Vikings win came on a last minute drive to end the game. Despite a solid first time performance for Browns rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel, the Vikings pulled ahead late in the fourth quarter. The game winning score came with just 25 seconds left on a 12-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Carson Wentz to wide receiver Jordan Addison. Fun fact: This was the 40th ever regular-season NFL game played in London.

Texans @ Ravens 44-10

The Texans dominated the injury depleted Ravens in an embarrassing home loss for Baltimore. Texans QB C.J. Stroud led the charge, throwing for 244 yards and four touchdowns. This was the most lopsided home loss in Ravens history and the Texans first-ever win in Baltimore. Not so fun fact: My opponent benched Lamar for Stroud this week in fantasy. Yeah. I lost.

NY Giants @ Saints 14-26

No words. Just frustrations. And anger. With more frustrations. The game started out GREAT. I thought to myself, we’ve finally arrived. How dumb was I to think that. It was a tale of two halves.  Our first two possessions resulted in Theo Johnson touchdowns from Jaxson Dart. Then it all went to hell. The Saints offense, led by quarterback Spencer Rattler, finally broke through with a massive 87-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Rashid Shaheed to narrow the deficit. The Saints then took their first lead at halftime following a field goal set up by a Giants fumble, making the score 16-14. The entire second half was trash. We had 5 consecutive turnovers, our defense also gave up, and the Saints scored 23 unanswered points to get their first home win of the season. Fun Fact: The victory for the Saints was a significant one for quarterback Spencer Rattler, as he became the first quarterback drafted by the Saints to win a game for the franchise since 1998.

Broncos @ Eagles 21-17

The Broncos stunned the Eagles, completing a spectacular comeback from a 17-3 deficit to win 21-17. QB Bo Nix led three consecutive scoring drives in the fourth quarter, capped by a go ahead touchdown pass and a successful two point conversion to end the Eagles unbeaten start to the season. HAH!!! Fun fact: Broncos head coach Sean Payton's decision to go for a two-point conversion midway through the fourth quarter was his FIRST go ahead two-point attempt in his 298 regular season and playoff games as a head coach.

Cowboys @ NY Jets 37-22

I got this pick wrong too. Dak Prescott threw for four touchdowns, and the Cowboys scored twice in the final minute of the second quarter to break the game open after a Breece Hall fumble. That pretty much sums up the game. Fun Fact: This loss dropped the Jets to 0-5 and made them the first team in NFL history to start a season 0-5 with zero defensive takeaways.

Raiders @ Colts 6-40

Son of a B! I am not starting Daniel Jones again in fantasy! This time he had a GREAT game and they pulled him in the 3rd quarter. He gave me 16 points in fantasy. Had he played the entire game he probably would have got me at least 21 points and I would have won this week. I am so mad at DJ (but more mad at myself)! The Colts offense scored touchdowns on six consecutive possessions, with running back Jonathan Taylor accounting for three rushing touchdowns. Raiders quarterback Geno Smith struggled, throwing two interceptions as Las Vegas managed only two field goals in the blowout loss. Fun fact: The last time the Colts offense scored a touchdown on six consecutive possessions was in 2001.

Dolphins  @ Panthers 24-27

The Dolphins jumped out to an early 17-0 lead, but the Panthers ground game, led by Rico Dowdle's 206 rushing yards, allowed them to erase the deficit and eventually take the lead. Bryce Young threw a game-winning touchdown pass to Mitchell Evans with under two minutes remaining to seal the thrilling comeback victory for Carolina. Fun fact: Dowdle reportedly drank five cups of pickle juice and hydration mix to fight off leg cramps that briefly sidelined him in the fourth quarter, allowing him to return to the game.

Buccaneers @ Seahawks 38-35

Man! I got this pick wrong too. I feel like I’m saying that a lot this week.  To make matters worse had I started Baker in fantasy over DJ I absolutely would have won this week! I’m happy for the Bucs and I am happy for Baker Mayfield but I am sad for me. The game was a back and forth shoot out of sorts. Fun fact: Baker Mayfield became the first quarterback in NFL history to compile 375 or more passing yards with fewer than five incompletions in a regular-season game (he was 29-of-33 for 379 yards).

Titans  @ Cardinals 22-21

The Titans completed an improbable comeback win over the Cardinals, overcoming an 18-point deficit that stood at 21-6 entering the fourth quarter. The Titans rally was fueled by two crucial Cardinals fumbles in the final quarter, including one by Emari Demercado that resulted in a touchback instead of a game-sealing touchdown. Demercado dropped the ball before he crossed the end zone line!  Titans QB Cam Ward led a last-minute drive, setting up Joey Slye for a game-winning 29-yard field goal as time expired to secure the Titans first win of the season and snap a 10-game losing streak. Fun fact, or not so fun fact if you are a Cards fan: The Arizona Cardinals became the first team in NFL history to lose three consecutive games on a score (in all three cases, a field goal) on the final play of the fourth quarter.

Commanders @ Chargers 27-10

The Commanders rallied from an early 10-0 deficit to defeat the Chargers. A Quentin Johnston fumble led to 27 unanswered points for the Commanders, sparked by a strong performance from rookie running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns. The Chargers' sloppy play, marked by 10 penalties and three turnovers, contributed significantly to their second consecutive loss. Even though the Chargers lost, WR Keenan Allen made history. Fun fact: Allen became the fastest player in NFL history to reach 1,000 career receptions, doing so in his 159th game. He surpassed the previous record of 167 games, held by Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison.

Lions @ Bengals 37-24

Lions RB David Montgomery, playing in his hometown, was the star of the Lions offense with a rushing touchdown and a trick-play touchdown pass, helping Detroit improve to 4-1. The Lions defense was pivotal, recording three interceptions on Bengals quarterback Jake Browning, with a late safety by Derrick Barnes sealing the victory. Fun fact: David Montgomery got to see his older sister Kiki at the game. This was a very special moment for the both of them. In February 2024 Kiki was paralyzed after being involved in a car crash and this was the first time she had seen her brother play in person since her accident. Montgomery mentioned that he appreciated the Cincinnati Bengals help in making sure she got on the field.

Patriots @ Bills 23-20

Ugh! What in the world! Stop it! Bills! You are better than that! I already have a losing team, you’re not supposed to lose too!!!! Damnit! Any given Sunday. Am I right? And with that, there are no more undefeated teams in the NFL this season. The Bills committed three costly turnovers, which the Patriots, led by quarterback Drake Maye and a stellar performance from receiver Stefon Diggs in his return to Buffalo, capitalized on. The game was sealed by a 52-yard field goal from kicker Andy Borregales with only 15 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Not so fun fact:  This loss snapped the Bills impressive 14-game regular season home winning streak.

Chiefs @ Jaguars 28-31

I GOT THIS PICK RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In a week in which I went 5-9 in picks, this one feels good. The Chiefs jumped out to an early lead but the Jags clawed right back. Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence led a dramatic, game-winning drive in the final minutes. The drive culminated in a bizarre, yet heroic, 1-yard rushing touchdown by Lawrence with 23 seconds left on the clock, securing the win. Fun facts: The win ended the Jaguars eight-game losing streak against the Chiefs, marking their first win over Kansas City since 2009.

Even more remarkably, the Chiefs had won 23 consecutive games (including playoffs) when leading by 14 or more points, making the Jaguars 14-point comeback to win a rare feat against the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs.

WEEK 6

Thursday, October 9th

Eagles (4-1) @ NY Giants (1-4) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

:(

I’m not ready for this game. Also, I am so sick of hearing about Saquon Barkley. I don’t like him. I don't think he is a stand up guy. I think his words mean little. I’m glad he is no longer a Giant. I think he’s a two faced SOB. He said earlier this week that he would’ve signed for $11 million per year if the Giants operated a different way.

STOP. Just stop.

Reddit user NJImperator and I agree completely. They said, “I’d be so much less annoyed by Saquon if he just admit he wanted out. Holy fuck, dude. We know what the team offered you. It was more than 11M. Just say you wanted to play for a better team. Blame your daughter and say it was so she could be closer to gam-gam. But holy fuck, you can’t have it both ways when we KNOW the team offered you more than what you’re saying would’ve been enough to keep you. Dude, you literally won. You escaped and got a ring and have the entire NFL landscape on your side. You don’t need to keep making shit up.”

Barkley, who can’t seem to shut up about his time with NY,  is returning to MetLife for the second time after leaving the Giants for the Eagles. He’s coming into this game with some knee soreness but says he’s “excited to go play.” I’m not looking forward to this game. I may not even watch. But I’ve got so many fantasy implications I might. I don’t know. Ugh. I’m picking the away team to win.

Let’s see how the Giants can screw up this game! G-MEN! At least there shouldn’t be a sense of hope, or rather, false hope in this game.

Sunday, October 12th

Broncos (3-2) @ NY Jets (0-5) (9:30am NFLN, NFL+)

Check the time again. We have another game at  Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The Broncos are heavy favorites in this game and that is who I am going to pick for the win.

Browns (1-4) @ Steelers (3-1) (1pm CBS)

The Browns ALWAYS play the Steelers hard. It is a fun divisional game that I look forward to watching. The Steelers are coming off their bye week, meaning they are well-rested and have had extra time to prepare. The Browns, on the other hand, are returning from a long trip back from playing in London last week, which is considered a difficult travel spot for a third consecutive road game. That said, I’ll be rooting for the Browns but picking the Steelers to win this game.

Chargers  (3-2) @ Dolphins (1-4) (1pm CBS)

The Chargers have now lost two in a row. I don’t think they’ll  make it three. I’m picking the Chargers to beat the Dolphins.

Patriots (3-2) @ Saints (1-4)  (1pm CBS)

The Patriots beat the Bills Sunday night and now they head to the Saints. I’m mad at the Saints for beating up on my Giants. Therefore, I am picking the Patriots to beat the Saints.

Rams (3-2) @ Ravens (1-4) (1pm FOX)

How about this, if Lamar Jackson plays, the Ravens have a chance at winning. I don’t think he’ll play and therefore, I am picking the Rams to win this game.

Cardinals (2-3) @ Colts (4-1)  (1pm FOX)

I am not starting Daniel Jones so he’ll probably have a great game. I’m picking the Colts for the win.

Seahawks (3-2) @ Jaguars (4-1)  (1pm FOX)

What world are we living in where the Jags are 4-1 and the Ravens are 1-4? I’m picking the Jags to win this game, only because of their record.

Cowboys (2-2-1) @ Panthers (2-3)  (1pm FOX)

Dear Panthers, I’m sorry I’ve been mean to you in the past. I believe in you. Please beat the Cowboys. Love, Shenoa. The Panthers are undefeated at home and the Cowboys have already lost two away games. I’m going out on a limb and picking the Panthers to win this game.

Titans (1-4)  @ Raiders (1-4) (4:05pm FOX)

Both teams have the same record so I am picking the home team to win this game. We’ll see if the Raiders can do it!

49ers (4-1) @ Buccaneers (4-1) (4:25pm CBS)

I’ve got fantasy implications on both teams so I just want this to be a high scoring game with no injuries. I’m picking the Bucs to win, only because they are the home team.

Bengals (2-3) @ Packers (2-1-1) (4:25pm FOX)

I picked up the Packers defense for this game. We’ll see how it goes. The Packers are coming off their bye week and should be very refreshed. The Bengals are making their 3rd quarterback change of the season. Jake Browning was not the answer. Joe Flacco is now QB one for the Bengals.  I’m picking the Packers to win this game.

Lions (4-1) @ Chiefs (2-3)  (8:20pm NBC)

The Lions have more road wins than the Chiefs have home wins this season. I’d like that to continue. I’m going against the odds and picking the Lions to win this game.

Monday, October 13th

Bills (4-1) @ Falcons (2-2) (7:15pm ESPN)

The Bills need to get their act together. I know the Giants are going to lose so I need my AFC team to win! You let me down last week, don’t do it again this week! I’m picking the Bills to win this game.

Bears (2-2) @ Commanders (3-2) (7:15pm ESPN)

I’ll be rooting for the Bears but picking the Commanders to win this game.

BYE WEEK: Vikings, Texans

The Shenoa Report Week 5 '25 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 2 2025
Regular Season Week 5

Week four was the week of lost wide receivers. My fantasy team lost two to season ending injuries just this week. Cool.  Malik Nabers tore his ACL at MetLife on Sunday. Tyreek Hill tore everything in his left knee Monday night at Hard Rock in Miami.

Now, let's talk about the best turf for football stadiums.  The best rated surface for player safety in NFL stadiums is overwhelmingly considered to be natural grass. The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) has consistently advocated for all fields to be converted to natural grass, citing data that shows a significantly lower rate of non-contact lower-extremity injuries on natural grass fields compared to artificial turf.  After the Nabers injury, former NFL WR Odell Beckham Jr. took to the socials. OBJ, who sustained a season ending injury on the same damn field in 2017 tweeted,  "Dear [NFL], I mean this with the upmost love and respect, We (The NFL) take all The precautions in the world with EVERYthing else when it comes to players 'health' and 'safety'. PLZ. PLZ. PLZ. GET RID OF THE TURF. Thank You in advance. LUV" Odell Beckham Jr. played for the Giants from 2014 through 2018. He suffered a torn ACL in 2020 with the Browns, and another in the February 2022 Super Bowl with the Rams. Both injuries happened on artificial turf.

MetLife is at the center of the artificial turf conversation. Due to the stadium being shared by the Jets and Giants, it has twice as many home games and more opportunity for injuries to occur, and they have.

Not So Fun Fact: Since 2020 there have been over 19 players who suffered season ending injuries like ACL or Achilles tears at MetLife. NINETEEN!!!!! Notable season-ending injuries include but are not limited to: In 2020 Nick Bosa (49ers, Torn ACL), Solomon Thomas (49ers, Torn ACL). In 2021 Blake Martinez (Giants, Torn ACL), Jabrill Peppers (Giants, Torn ACL), Rodarius Williams (Giants, Torn ACL), Matt Peart (Giants, Torn ACL), T.J. Brunson (Giants, Torn ACL), Levine Toilolo (Giants, Torn Achilles). Jonnothan Harrison (Giants, Achilles) Shane Lemieux (Giants Partial Patellar Tendon Tear). In 2022 Kyle Fuller (Ravens, Torn ACL), Sterling Shepard (Giants, Torn ACL), Wan'Dale Robinson (Giants, Torn ACL), Aaron Robinson (Giants, Torn ACL), Darrian Beavers (Giants, Torn ACL), Marcus McKethan (Giants, Torn ACL). In 2023 Aaron Rodgers (Jets, Torn Achilles), Jaelan Phillips (Dolphins, Torn Achilles). And so far this year, Malik Nabers (Giants, Torn ACL). Hey Metlife! It’s time to go to natural grass!!!

Here’s another “fun fact” MetLife is going to host the World Cup in 2026. FIFA mandates that all World Cup matches must be played on natural grass. This is a non-negotiable rule for the tournament. Since MetLife Stadium is hosting several matches, including the World Cup Final, it must convert its surface. The natural grass will be a temporary, specialized surface installed directly over the stadium's permanent FieldTurf artificial surface. After the World Cup concludes, the natural grass will be removed, and the stadium will revert to its permanent artificial turf surface (FieldTurf Core HD) for the NFL season. This is because the stadium owners and operators find it more practical and cost-effective to maintain the durable turf for year-round use by two NFL teams (the Giants and Jets) and other major events like concerts. OR, if you ask me, the owners are cheap and don’t actually care for their players. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk about turf.

The Bills and Eagles are the only teams still undefeated heading into week 5. On the other side of the coin, the Titans, Jets, and Saints have yet to win a game this season. I hope at the end of week 5 the Saints will still be on this list. No hate for the Saints, they just play the Giants in week 5.

I lost in both leagues, I lost two of my starting wide receivers to season ending injuries, and insult to injury, my partner, who I played this past week, won in both leagues handily. The Giants did get their first win of the season but we lost Nabers so I count it as more of a loss than a win. CMC Ya Next Season 2-2, Won’t You Be My Nabers 2-2.  Also, I went 9-6-1 in my picks, because the Cowboys had to tie the Packers!

Let’s jump into the recap!

Seahawks @ Cardinals 23-20

The Cardinals could have won this game had they actually started being competitive in the first half rather than the fourth quarter. The Seahawks had a 20-6 lead midway through the fourth quarter when the Cardinals scored two touchdowns tying the game with 33 seconds left. That was just enough time for Sam Darnold to get his team into field goal range. Jason Myers kicked the 52 yard field goal as time expired giving the Seahawks the win. Fun fact: The Seahawks have won 8 straight games against the Cardinals.

Vikings @ Steelers 21-24

The Vikings were pretty much the same as the Cardinals from Thursday. They didn’t decide to show up until midway through the 4th quarter.  Vikings QB Carson Wentz, despite being under heavy pressure and sacked six times, threw two fourth-quarter touchdowns and a two-point conversion to narrow the deficit to 24-21 with just over two minutes left in the game. Unfortunately for the Vikings, their final drive was derailed by an intentional grounding penalty that resulted in a 10 second run-off and a loss of downs, snuffing their chance of a last second field goal to send the game into overtime. The good news for the Vikings is that even though they lost this game they’ll get another chance to win a game in Europe as they are playing in London in week 5.

Fun fact: his matchup was historic as it was the first ever regular season NFL game played in Ireland. For the Minnesota Vikings, it also marked their first ever loss on international soil, falling to 4-1 all-time in regular season games played abroad.

Chargers @ NY Giants  18-21

Ok. Full disclosure, I didn’t watch this entire game. We had to do some errands and we had a family reunion of sorts so I missed most of the game. (Thank god for cell phones, YouTubeTV and RedZone.) I’m still in disbelief. We won?

I live in NY. I should get the Giants game on local tv. But, no. I got the Bills game and the Eagles game. Getting the Eagles game is a big F you to all Giants fans. It’s not cool and it always seems to happen.

Anyway, back to being in disbelief. We weren’t supposed to win this game. I’m super glad we did. BUT. I’m super sad we lost Malik Nabers to a torn ACL. I listened to most of the first half on the radio as we were doing errands. I was glad I had lane assist in my car when Dexter Lawrence intercepted Justin Herbert and returned the ball to about the 3 yard line. I was screaming “Let’s go sexyyyyyyyy!!!!!” As I drove down the road trying to keep my excitement contained. I was then the passenger in the vehicle when the Nabers injury happened. Ugh. We got to the reunion around half time and a lot of family had the games on their phones too. I like my family. We love football. So, through good conversation we kept up with the Giants game as well as all the others. Rookie QB Jaxson Dart got his first NFL start. He managed the game efficiently, contributing a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown. He definitely helped change the tone of the game. He just needs so much more protection moving forward. He was sacked 5 times during the game and even had to come out and go into the blue tent after injuring his hamstring. Dart had zero interceptions and went 13 out of 20 completions. Chargers QB Justin Herbert did not have a good day (nor did I as I started him in fantasy), with 23 out of 41 completions, just one touchdown, and two interceptions. Another Giant I am excited about, Cam Skattebo, I just love watching him play. We refer to him lovingly as a feral child in pads. Fun Fact: Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo not only led the team in rushing yards in the game, but he also punctuated a successful two-point conversion with a backflip into the end zone!

Titans @ Texans 0-26

The Texans defense dominated the entire game, holding the Titans struggling offense to zero points and only 175 total yards. The score was a tight 6-0 at halftime, but the Texans broke the game open in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Titans 20-0. The Titans offense, led by rookie QB Cam Ward, struggled immensely, managing only 10 first downs and going 2-for-11 on third down conversions. Kicker Joey Slye also missed two field goals in the first half. The loss dropped the Titans to 0-4 for the season. Fun fact: This was Houston’s first shutout win since 2010, a feat that even the defenses led by J.J. Watt during his tenure with the team was unable to accomplish. It was only the third shutout in the franchise's history.

Commanders @ Falcons 27-34

I got this pick wrong and I’m pretty sure everyone else did too. The Falcons, who were shut out last week, stunned the Commanders in their first home win of the season! The Falcons took an early lead and, despite a late comeback attempt by the Commanders, secured the victory. A long, time-consuming drive by the Falcons in the fourth quarter, ending in a field goal, gave them the win. Fun fact: Falcons wide receiver Drake London and running back Bijan Robinson both eclipsed 100 receiving yards in the game (110 and 106, respectively). This made them the first wide receiver and running back duo in Falcons franchise history to each have at least 100 receiving yards in the same game since 1981!

Saints @ Bills 19-31

I think the Bills looked past this game as an easy win. They did win, but it wasn’t pretty. Also I need the Saints to continue playing horribly for at least one more week after this game. They play the Giants in week 5. But back to this game. Josh Allen combined for three touchdowns, two passing and one rushing. James Cook had 117 rushing yards and a touchdown. The Saints running game wasn’t terrible. Kendre Miller had 65 rushing yards and a touchdown and Alvin Kamara had 70 rushing yards. Even QB Spencer Rattler had 49 rushing yards on the day. The Bills let their guards down and allowed the Saints back into the game. Thankfully the Bills got their act together and stopped the Saints late, when it mattered most. Fun Fact: Bills RB James Cook extended his impressive streak to 8 consecutive games with a rushing touchdown, breaking the Bills' franchise record previously held by legends like O.J. Simpson and Cookie Gilchrist.

Eagles @ Buccaneers 31-25

Welp. Both teams came into this game undefeated and now the Bucs have their first loss of the season. Bummer. The Bucs were so extremely beat up it’s amazing they made it a competitive game at all! The Eagles jumped out to a comfortable 24-3 lead with the Bucs making it 24-6 as they went into half time. Baker Mayfield led an amazing comeback in the second half making it a one score game but then he threw an interception in the endzone and that was that. Fun Fact: Buccaneers kicker Chase McLaughlin kicked a 65-yard field goal at the end of the first half, which tied the record for the longest field goal ever made in an outdoor NFL stadium (not in a dome or with a retractable roof closed).

Browns @ Lions 10-34

The Browns actually scored first. They had a 13 play, 88 yard touchdown drive. Unfortunately for Cleveland that’s when the Lions took over. Detroit's defense was the star of the game, forcing three turnovers (two interceptions and a forced fumble), which the offense converted into 17 points. Quarterback Jared Goff threw two touchdown passes to wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. Fun Fact: Amon-Ra St. Brown is having an incredibly fast start to the season. His two touchdown receptions against the Browns gave him six touchdown catches through the first four games, making him just the second player in Lions franchise history to achieve that mark (joining Calvin Johnson in 2011).

Panthers @ Patriots 13-42

The Panthers scored first but it was basically all Patriots after the opening drive. The Pats had 28 points in the first half alone. QB Drake Maye was highly efficient, throwing two touchdown passes and running for another score, while the defense and special teams shut down the Panthers for most of the contest. Fun Fact: Patriots return specialist Marcus Jones had a historic day, setting a franchise single-game record with 167 punt return yards against the Panthers. This incredible yardage total came on just three returns and included an electrifying 87-yard punt return touchdown.

Jaguars @ 49ers 26-21

Yeah, I got this pick wrong too. The Jaguars handed the 49ers their first loss of the season by winning the turnover and special teams battle. The Jacksonville defense forced four total turnovers and the special teams unit scored a pivotal touchdown. While the 49ers offense managed to move the ball thanks to RB Christian McCaffrey who had a big day with over 140 scrimmage yards (Woot!), their turnovers proved too costly, with two interceptions and a game-sealing strip-sack in the final minutes. The Jaguars offense was boosted by a 124-yard rushing performance from Travis Etienne Jr. including a touchdown run following one of San Fran's turnovers. Fun Fact: The Jaguars victory was a rare feat for the franchise. It was their first ever road win against the 49ers in franchise history. Jacksonville improved to 1-2 on the road against the 49ers all-time.

Colts @ Rams 20-27

So, last week I said, “I know the Colts have been playing well this season. I mean the team has only punted once. I even picked up Danny Jones in fantasy for the injured Joe Burrow, and I think I am going to start him this weekend. That said, I’m picking the Rams to win this game because I feel like I’m jinxing the entire Colts org by starting DJ. Sorry Colts fans, and you’re welcome Rams fans.”

Do I know Danny Jones, or do I know Danny Jones? I’m sorry Colts fans. I truly am. It’s my fault. I started DJ in fantasy. I lost in fantasy too.

After a scoreless third quarter, the Colts took a 20-13 lead in the fourth. However, Rams QB Matthew Stafford, tied the game with a touchdown pass to wide receiver Puka Nacua with just over three minutes left. Then the Rams defense forced a key punt, and on the very next play, Stafford connected with WR Tutu Atwell for a stunning 88-yard game-winning touchdown with under two minutes to play. The Rams defense sealed the victory with a late interception—their third takeaway of the day. The Colts were hurt by costly penalties and turnovers throughout the game. Fun Fact: Tutu Atwell's 88-yard game-winning touchdown in the final two minutes was the longest go-ahead scrimmage touchdown in the final two minutes of a game in the NFL since at least the start of the 21st century (2000). The play was a remarkable, one-play drive to steal the victory. It’s too bad he’s not on my fantasy team.

 Ravens @ Chiefs 20-37

Yup, got this pick wrong. I really don’t know what to think about some teams this season. I mean, the Giants made the Chiefs look good, but then so did the Ravens? What in the world? Are the Ravens bad? I don’t even know anymore. The Ravens scored a touchdown on their opening drive and the Chiefs answered with a field goal. Lamar Jackson then threw an interception to linebacker Leo Chenal, giving the ball back to KC. After that the Chiefs scored 20 unanswered points in the first half and never gave up the lead. The Chiefs scored on 7 of their 8 first possessions. The game was further complicated for the Ravens by a rash of injuries, including one to quarterback Lamar Jackson, who left the game in the third quarter with a hamstring issue. Sorry Baltimore, I really thought you’d win this one. Fun Fact: Patrick Mahomes became the youngest player in NFL history to reach the career milestone of 250 passing touchdowns. He accomplished the feat at 30 years and 11 days old.

Bears @ Raiders 25-24

This game was back and forth. This game was sloppy. The Raiders had 4 turnovers. QB Geno Smith threw 3 interceptions and RB Ashton Jeanty lost a fumble. The Bears only had one turnover, an interception thrown by Caleb Williams. Though Jeanty had a fumble, he also had the best day of his NFL career, with 138 rushing yards, a rushing touchdown and two receiving touchdowns. Even though the Raiders lost, Jeanty had a good day. Fun Fact: With their 25-24 victory, the Chicago Bears officially became the second franchise in NFL history to reach 800 regular-season wins, joining the Green Bay Packers.

Packers @ Cowboys 40-40 OT

This game was all offense and no defense. Had either team tried to play defense the game wouldn't have ended in a tie. Both teams' quarterbacks,  Packers Jordan Love (337 passing yards, 3 TDs) and Cowboys Dak Prescott (319 passing yards, 3 TDs), threw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns each with no interceptions. See, no defense.  The second half was a relentless exchange of touchdowns and field goals, with the lead changing hands repeatedly. I didn’t stay up for overtime. I went to bed. Glad I did. The Cowboys took a 40-37 lead with a field goal on their first drive in overtime. The Packers then marched down the field, and after a scramble and a pass to the 1-yard line as time nearly expired, Brandon McManus kicked a 34-yard field goal on the final play of overtime to end the game in a tie. Fun Fact: This 40-40 final score marks the highest-scoring tie in Green Bay Packers franchise history, and the first game where both teams scored 40 points since 2011. For the Cowboys, it was their first tie since the 1969 season.

NY Jets @ Dolphins 21-27

The game was largely defined by New York's mistakes. The Jets committed three costly fumbles, including one at the Dolphins 1-yard line which immediately led to a 96-yard Tua to Darren Waller touchdown drive for Miami, giving the Dolphins a 10-0 lead.

Then Tyreek Hill went out of the game. It was bad. Like watching it in real time my brain couldn’t calculate that his leg was in the wrong direction from the knee. Hill suffered a dislocated knee with multiple torn ligaments, including a torn ACL. He underwent successful surgery on Tuesday to repair the damage. The good news is that his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, reported that all damage was repaired in one procedure, and there were no issues with blood flow or nerve damage. The bad news is he’ll be out for the rest of the season and may never play football again.

So, the Dolphins got their first win of the season but, like the Giants who also got their first win, they lost their star wide receiver for the year. Big Fat Bummer.

Even though the Jets lost I’ve got a fun fact for you. Jets quarterback Justin Fields' 43-yard rushing touchdown in the game tied him with Lamar Jackson and Kordell Stewart for the most 40-plus-yard touchdown runs by any quarterback in NFL history.

Bengals @ Broncos 3-28

Denver QB Bo Nix had one of his best games yet, throwing for 326 yards and two touchdowns (to Courtland Sutton and RJ Harvey) and also adding a rushing touchdown. The Broncos offense racked up over 500 total yards. The Bengals, without Joe Burrow, struggled mightily on offense. Backup QB Jake Browning was held to only 125 passing yards, and the entire offense was limited to just 159 total yards and only nine first downs for the entire game. Their only points came from a field goal on their opening drive. Guess who played the Denver defense against me in fantasy… Fun Fact: The Denver Broncos defense held the Cincinnati Bengals to zero offensive touchdowns and just 159 total yards while the Broncos offense posted 512 total yards. This marked the first time the Broncos had a yardage advantage of over 350 yards in a victory since 2011.

WEEK 5

Thursday, October 2nd

49ers (3-1) @ Rams (3-1) (8:15pm PRIME VIDEO)

The Rams are heavy favorites to win this game at home. Honestly, I don’t care who wins as long as my fantasy players score all the points and my opponents players have a lousy day. I’m picking the Rams to win this one but I need CMC to continue to be excellent as well as Davante Adams for the Rams.

Sunday, October 5th

Vikings (2-2) @ Browns (1-3) (9:30am NFLN, NFL+)

Check the time folks. We’ve got our first London game of the season. The Vikings, who played in Dublin last Sunday, stayed across the pond so they are totally going to be ready for this game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Which makes me question the “fairness” that the NFL imposed last week when the Steelers wanted to get to Dublin a few days before the Vikings to acclimate to the time change. They were NOT allowed, but the Vikings have a HUGE advantage now. They are all sorts of acclimated. The game is expected to be low-scoring, given both teams have strong defenses but are dealing with offensive struggles and quarterback situations (Carson Wentz is expected to start for the Vikings, while Dillon Gabriel starts for the Browns). Do you know who Gabriel is? He was the QB drafted by the Browns in the 3rd round before Shedeur Sanders in the 5th round in this year's draft class. All that said, I’m picking the Vikings to win this game.

Texans (1-3) @ Ravens (1-3) (1pm CBS)

Lamar Jackson is doubtful going into this game with a hamstring injury. If Jackson does not play, veteran quarterback Cooper Rush will get the start. Contrary to their record, the Texans have a good defense. The Ravens defense is also banged up. The odds are saying the Texans are favored. My opponent is starting CJ Stroud in one league. Ugh. I’m picking the Ravens to prove people wrong and get the win at home.

NY Giants (1-3) @ Saints (0-4) (1pm CBS)

The Saints are currently 2-point home favorites over the Giants. Cool. That’s fine. We are better at being the underdog. My rule has come into play. The Giants have actually, surprisingly, won a game so I can pick them to win if I feel like they could. Looking at the schedule before the season started I picked this game and maybe one other as a W. Therefore, I’m sticking to this pick. I am picking the Giants to upset the Saints at home. LET’S GO BIG BLUE!!!!!! G-MEN!!!!!!!!

Broncos (2-2) @ Eagles (4-0)  (1pm CBS)

None of the Eagles wins have been pretty this season. Actually they are down right ugly if you ask me. I would love, love, LOVE the Eagles to be upset at home. The Broncos could totally do it. The only problem is I am still starting both Hurts and Barkley in fantasy so I need points too. I’m picking the Eagles to win, hoping I’m wrong, as long as I get enough points to win in fantasy!

Cowboys (1-2-1) @ NY Jets (0-4) (1pm FOX)

Alright Jets, it’s time to win a game. You can do it! You are due! Let’s go! F it. I’m picking the Jets to win this game.

Raiders (1-3) @ Colts (3-1)  (1pm FOX)

I think that the Colts will bounce back and get this win at home. I also hope that Daniel Jones has a much better game than last week, cause guess what, I’m starting him again in fantasy.

Dolphins (1-3) @ Panthers (1-3)  (1pm FOX)

Both teams are abysmal. I guess I’m picking the Panthers to win another home game. It seems to be the only place they can win this season. Also the Dolphins have not won on the road this year.

Buccaneers (3-1) @ Seahawks (3-1) (4:05pm CBS)

I’ll be rooting for the Bucs but I have to pick the Seahawks to win at home.

Titans (0-4)  @ Cardinals (2-2) (4:05pm CBS)

Sorry Abby. I think the Titans are going to be 0-5 after this game. I am picking the Cardinals to win this one.

Commanders (2-2) @ Chargers (3-1) (4:25pm FOX)

I will be rooting for and picking the Chargers to bounce back and win this game at home!

Lions (3-1) @ Bengals (2-2) (4:25pm FOX)

Sorry Bengals fans. Buckle up for a long season. I’m picking the Lions to win this game.

Patriots (2-2) @ Bills (4-0)   (8:20pm NBC)

This will be a divisional game. Hopefully the Bills don’t look past this matchup and take it seriously. Obviously I’ll be rooting for and picking the Bills to win this game. GO BILLS!

Monday, October 6th

Chiefs (2-2) @ Jaguars (3-1) (8:15pm ABC,ESPN)

Patrick Mahomes has never lost to the Jags. I think it’s time. The Chiefs are favored in this game. Which is no surprise. I’m really tired of picking the Chiefs to win so I am going to pick the Jags to win. I’ll probably be wrong but, I said what I said!

BYE WEEK: Falcons, Bears, Packers, Steelers

GO G-MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the edit Eric!
