The Shenoa Report Week 8 '18 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 25th, 2018
Regular Season Week 8

We are heading into week 8 and the Rams are still undefeated. I am 3-4 in my league; this week was an epic loss. The Giants lost and are officially rebuilding for next year. Just this week they have traded Eli Apple and Damon “Snacks” Harrison away for draft picks. I don’t like rebuilding years.  I went 10-4 on my picks, which is just as good or better than three of the four NFL Insiders on Showtime!!!

Let’s recap week seven.

Broncos @ Cardinals 45-10
This game wasn’t even close, especially when Emmanuel Sanders, Broncos wide receiver, was not only catching touchdown passes he was throwing them too. The Broncos defense also had a good night getting not one but two pick six’s to help run up the score on the pathetic Cards. I admittedly turned the game off for a while, partly because it wasn’t even close but mostly because Joe Buck and Troy Aikman were talking so much I just couldn’t watch anymore. Man, take a breath and sit in silence for a moment. So annoying.

Titans @ Chargers 19-20
I’m still mad at this game. Instead of tying the game and going into OT the Titans head coach decided to go for two at the end of the game. They didn’t convert and lost the game, in which they could have won had it gone into overtime… Also more frustrating I played the Titans defense and my opponent played the Chargers defense. PS I lost miserably in fantasy this week and this is just one of the reasons.
Patriots @ Bears 38-31
This was a very entertaining game to watch, especially with a Bears fan. I imagine it’s a lot like watching football with me. He yelled and cursed a lot; yeah it’s a lot like me. Had it not been for a couple of Trubinsky picks and a yard short Hail Mary at the end of the game the Bears might have beat the Pats.

Bills @ Colts 5-37
Luck remembered how to throw touchdowns instead of interceptions as the Colts clobbered the Bills.

Vikings @ Jets 37-17
The Vikings really developed their run game in their win over the Jets with Cousins only throwing two touchdowns. This also added to my miserable loss in fantasy.

Lions @ Dolphins 32-21
I really thought the Dolphins would beat the Lions but I guess they were very well rested and ready to play. The Lions looked shockingly good.

Panthers @ Eagles 21-17
I’m still a little surprised that the Panther beat the Eagles; happy but surprised. Cam must be happy to have Greg Olsen back as that duo sealed the win with a touchdown in the final minutes of the game.

Browns @ Buccaneers 23-26 OT
Even though week 7 just finished up the Browns have played 8 games in total after going to overtime for the fourth time this season. I can still see Baker’s face after the Bucs kicked the game winning, 59 yard, field goal. This came right after the Browns fumbled to give Tampa the ball. I urge you to google it. It’ll probably look like all of the rest of the Browns fans after that play too.

Texans @ Jaguars 20-7
The Texans have really turned their season around; the same cannot be said for the Jags. At least Eli Manning isn’t as bad as Blake Bortles… Bortles fumbled on the third play of each half, and that’s not the only mistakes he made. Ouch.

Saints @ Ravens 24-23
I knew the Ravens couldn’t play at that caliber two weeks in a row. I also knew that the Saints would beat them this week. It all came down to an extra point from a kicker, Justin Tucker, that hadn’t missed a point after in his entire NFL career! He missed and the Ravens lost.  I can’t wait to hear what Ray Lewis says about it. Did you know he used to play for Baltimore?

Rams @ 49ers 39-10
This was definitely not a trap game for the Rams. Their uniforms resembled bumblebees and it’s fitting because they absolutely stung the 49ers. I mean Todd Gurley had three touchdowns and Jared Goff had two.

Cowboys @ Redskins 17-20
It’s no wonder the Redskins are the leaders of their division… They have Alex Smith. And that's the only nice thing I can say about that team.

Bengals @ Chiefs 10-45
My opponent had the Chiefs QB, RB, and kicker… He wins. It wasn’t even close. I think my fantasy loss was just about as bad as the Bengals loss.

NY Giants @ Falcons 20-23
I really don’t want to talk about it.

WEEK 8

Thursday, October 25th

Dolphins [4-3] @ Texans [4-3] (8:20pm FOX/NFLN/Amazon Prime Video/Twitch)
I’m going to pick the Texans to win this game. I think the Dolphins are slipping. I really just hope we don’t have to listen to Joe Buck and Troy Aikman during the broadcast. They never SHUT UP.

Sunday, October 28th

Eagles [3-4] @ Jaguars [3-4] (9:30am NFLN)
This game will be played at Wembley Stadium in London. So make sure you remember to turn the game on Sunday morning. For those on the East Coast it’ll be like living on the West Coast and watching football with breakfast. The Jags have a perfect record at Wembley, but I don’t think they will win as long as they have Bortles as their QB. He’s basically the MVP of the opposing team.  I’m picking the Eagles.
Jets [3-4] @ Bears [3-3] (1pm CBS)
I’m going to pick the Bears to win, which puts me in a pickle because I am playing the Jets defense.

Buccaneers [3-3] @ Bengals [4-3] (1pm FOX)
Even though the Bengals have lost their last two games I think they will win at home against the Bucs this weekend.

Seahawks [3-3] @ Lions [3-3] (1pm FOX)
I was surprised the Lions won last week, so I’ll pick them at home this week. This should be a good close game.

Broncos [3-4] @ Chiefs [6-1] (1pm FOX)
Even though the Broncos defense has stepped up I don’t think they will beat the Chiefs. I’m picking Kansas City to win this one.

Redskins [4-2] @ NY Giants [1-6] (1pm FOX)
Now that the powers that be have started to trade decent players away and count this season as a loss it looks like I won’t be picking the Giants to win at all the rest of this season. I still can’t believe they got rid of Snacks. I’m picking the Redskins to win.

Browns  [2-4-1] @ Steelers [3-2-1] (1pm CBS)
As much as I’d like to see this rematch conclude with a Browns win I think that the Steelers will win at home. I’m picking the Steelers for the win.

Ravens [4-3] @ Panthers [4-2] (1pm CBS)
Even though the Panthers are coming off a shocking win and the Ravens are coming off a shocking loss I’m going to pick the Panthers to lose this game.  I know they are perfect at home but I think it all comes to an end after this game.

Colts [2-5] @ Raiders [1-5] (4:05pm CBS)
I’m picking the Colts to win, for no other reason than the Raiders are in fact the worst team in the NFL, and I’m a Giants fan…

Packers [3-2-1] @ Rams [7-0] (4:25pm FOX)
I’m picking the Rams to win this game, even though the Packers will definitely make a game of it.

49ers [1-6] @ Cardinals [1-6] (4:25pm FOX)
Both these teams are just about as bad as the Raiders and the Giants. It’s funny to think that after this game at least one of them will have two wins… Of course, if it doesn’t end in a tie.  What the heck, I’ll pick the Cardinals to win at home.

Saints [5-1] @ Vikings [4-2-1] (8:20pm NBC)
A lot has changed since the Saints played at the Vikings last year. The Vikings have a new QB but they still have the same wide receivers that spoiled the Saints win in the final seconds of the game. I think the Saints win this one; I just hope Cousins has a good game.

Monday, October 29th

Patriots [5-2] @ Bills [2-5] (8:15pm ESPN)
I’m sorry Bills fans, I’m picking the Patriots to win this game.

 BYES: Falcons, Cowboys, Titans, Chargers

The Shenoa Report Week 7 '18 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 18th, 2018
Regular Season Week 7

We are heading into week 7 and the Rams are the only team still undefeated in the NFL. I am 3-3 in my league, it was another close win. Thank you Tyreek Hill and your three touchdowns. The Giants played the Eagles last Thursday so even though they ruined my Thursday night they didn’t ruin my weekend, a stomach bug did that. Don’t worry, I’m feeling better, and yes, it was probably brought on by the Giants loss. I went 10-5 on my picks, which is better than other weeks and better than the NFL Insiders on Showtime!!! As I look outside the wind is whipping and it looks oh so cold. This morning when I woke up the four letter word was on the ground...  Winter is coming.

Let’s recap week six.

Eagles @ NY Giants 34-13
I am sick and tired of people saying that the Giants would be better without Manning. If Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers were in Manning’s place this season they would be getting clobbered just as much. Our offensive line is non existent and has been for many seasons. Yes, I know Manning can’t scramble, but he never could and he has not one but two Super Bowl rings. You know what was different then? An offensive line that actually protected the quarterback. Yes, Eli is old and he doesn’t have many more seasons with the Giants, one if we are lucky. I even agree that we need a new quarterback, but you can’t keep blaming JUST Eli. He has been the rock of the Giants for so long, and when he was protected he was clutch. The defense had their moments Thursday night and Saquan was the entire Giants offense for this game. It was a tough loss, especially to the Eagles, but for this loss I blame the Giants O line, and OBJ for running his mouth and then not being able to back it up on the field. And that’s all I have to stay about that.

Chargers @ Browns 38-14
Apparently Phillip Rivers can still throw the football and he, along with the rest of the Chargers, routed the Browns.

Steelers @ Bengals 28-21
Stupid Steelers came back and beat the Bengals late in the game. The Steelers are going to have to make a hard decision if Bell decides to return. James Conner, Bell’s replacement, ran for over 100 yards and had two touchdowns this game.

Buccaneers @ Falcons 29-34
The Falcons snapped a three game losing streak with this win over the Bucs. And now the Bucs are just, well, the Bucs we all remember.

Seahawks @ Raiders 27-3
Yikes, the Raiders are bad. Just bad. The Seahawks, who aren’t really good this season, looked stellar against the Raiders. Ouch.

Bears @ Dolphins 28-31 OT
The Dolphins starting QB Ryan Tannehill did not play in this game. All the critics said that the Dolphins would struggle without him especially with backup Brock Osweiler leading the team. Miami proved everyone wrong by beating the Bears in overtime.

Cardinals @ Vikings 17-27
The Cardinals aren’t as bad as once thought but still not good enough to beat the Vikings. Latavius Murray’s run game really saved the day for the Vikings having 155 yards rushing and a touchdown.

Colts  @ Jets 34-42
Man, I wish I had the Jets kicker who kicked a franchise record seven field goals in the win over the Colts. I just wish the Jets defense had done a little better as I started them in fantasy.

Panthers @ Redskins 17-23
Josh Norman loved his reunion on the field with the Panthers, instead of defending them he picked off Cams pass and helped the Redskins achieve victory.

Bills @ Texans 13-20
Oh the Bills. Obviously they still have a problem at QB and Peterman isn’t the answer Buffalo was looking for. He threw a pick 6 at the end of the game sealing their defeat.

Rams @ Broncos 23-20
This was an almost too close for comfort game for the Rams, but once again Todd Gurley was Todd Gurley and saved the day and the game. The Rams are the only undefeated team left this season.

Jaguars @ Cowboys 7-40
I think we both know what Cowboy team and what Jags team actually showed up to this game. I just got them reversed in my picks.

Ravens @ Titans 21-0
The Ravens shutout the Titans and had a team record of 11 sacks in the process. I’m glad I didn’t play the Titans defense, it just sucked because my opponent played the Ravens defense…

Chiefs @ Patriots 40-43
The Chiefs shouldn’t be too disappointed in this loss. They played a good game and it took a couple of drives for Mahomes to get comfortable in Foxborough. Tom Brady got his 200th regular season win because the defense was afraid to tackle him and draw a penalty. Tyreek Hill had 3 touchdowns which helped me win this week in fantasy. Speaking of Hill, a Pats fan threw his beer in Hill’s face after one of his touchdowns. Hill is pressing charges and that Pats fan is no longer welcome in Foxborough.

49ers @ Packers 30-33
Aaron (I pronounce it A-A-ron) Rodgers led yet another comeback in the fourth quarter but it was kicker Mason Crosby who secured the win for Green Bay by kicking a field goal as time expired to beat the 49ers.

WEEK 7

Thursday, October 18th

Broncos [2-4] @ Cardinals [1-5] (8:20pm FOX/NFLN/Amazon Prime Video/Twitch)
Even though the Broncos haven’t won on the road or the Cardinals at home I am picking the Broncos to win this game. I mean, they have Von Miller. He’s a beast.

Sunday, October 21st

Titans [3-3] @ Chargers [4-2] (9:30am CBS)
This game will be played at Wembley Stadium in London. So make sure you remember to turn the game on Sunday morning. For those on the East Coast it’ll be like living on the West Coast and watching football with breakfast. For those on the West Coast, unless you are a diehard Chargers fan, you should probably just sleep through this one. Even though this is a home game for the Chargers, London does wacky things to a team. I’m picking the Titans to win this game only because their time difference is slightly less extreme and they were quite embarrassed last week by being shut out and they should be pretty pissed about that. I also need Tennessee to win because I am playing their defense this week in fantasy…

Patriots [4-2] @ Bears [3-2] (1pm CBS)
As much as I’d like to see the Bears win this game I am going to pick the Pats. I hope Kahlil Mack has a tremendous game and actually knocks Brady around a bit. He’s not afraid to hit a QB like the Chiefs were.

Bills [2-4] @ Colts [1-5] (1pm CBS)
The Bills will be starting Anderson, their third string QB, this week… Do I really have to report anything else? I’m picking the Colts for the win.

Vikings [3-2-1] @ Jets [3-3] (1pm FOX)
I am purposefully not playing the Jets defense because I need Cousins to have a big game. I am not projected to win in fantasy this week… I’m picking the Vikings to win and hopefully have a big game against the Jets.

Lions [2-3] @ Dolphins [4-2] (1pm FOX)
Nobody thought the Dolphins would win last week and they did, so I am going to pick them to win this week at home. I mean, they are undefeated at home so far this season. The Lions are coming off their bye and might not take the Dolphins seriously.

Panthers [3-2] @ Eagles [3-2] (1pm FOX)
As much as I hate to I’m going to pick the Eagles to win this game. Boooooo. The Panthers haven’t won a game on the road yet this season and I don’t think that this game will be any different.

Browns  [2-3-1] @ Buccaneers [2-3] (1pm FOX)
Well, the Bucs fired their defensive coordinator Mike Smith on Monday after their third straight loss of the season. We’ll see if they do any better this Sunday with the linebackers coach Mark Duffner taking over for Smith. The Browns and the Bucs have the same wins and losses on the season but the Browns don’t seem to do well on the road so I am going to have to pick the Bucs to win this game.

Texans [3-3] @ Jaguars [3-3] (1pm CBS)
I’m picking the Jags to bounce back and beat the Texans after their embarrassing loss last week.

Saints [4-1] @ Ravens [4-2] (4:05pm FOX)
Everyone is picking the Ravens to win this game because of their defense’s amazing win last week. I am going to pick the Saints to win because I don’t think the Ravens can play at that caliber two weeks in a row.

Rams [6-0] @ 49ers [1-5] (4:25pm CBS)
I’m picking the Rams to win this game, though this could be a trap game for the Rams as they are undefeated and the 49ers have only won one game.

Cowboys [3-3] @ Redskins [3-2] (4:25pm CBS)
I’m picking the Redskins to win this game but hoping for a tie. This should be a good game to watch especially for a divisional game.

Bengals [4-2] @ Chiefs [5-1] (8:20pm NBC)
For the second week in a row the Chiefs will play the Sunday night game. This time I think they will win. I imagine this will be a high scoring game, and a fun game to watch.

Monday, October 22nd

NY Giants [1-5] @ Falcons [2-4] (8:15pm ESPN)
I think the Giants can win this game if they can actually protect Eli. I’m not going to pick them to win because, like I said before, they have to win two in a row before I pick them to win again. Sigh.

The Shenoa Report Week 6 '18 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 11th, 2018
Regular Season Week 6

We are heading into week 6 and the Rams and Chiefs are still undefeated. I am 2-3 in my league; it was a tough loss this past week. The Giants play the Eagles tonight so at least if the Giants lose tonight it won’t ruin my weekend.  I went 8-7 on my picks, ouch. It’s been such a strange season so far. I hope my picks, my fantasy team, and the Giants get much better and quickly!

Let’s recap week five.

Colts @ Patriots 24-38
The Pats clobbered the Colts, just like we knew they would and Tom Brady reached 500 touchdown passes which was also inevitable.

Titans @ Bills 12-13
I know Bills fans are happy, but, come on! Whenever I need the Bills to lose a game they figure out how to play… It’s happened twice this year… Yeah, both of their wins were my fantasy losses, and, of course, it came on a game winning field goal as time expired.

Dolphins @ Bengals 17-27
The Bengals win again. They are one of those teams that seem to have it together until just before the playoffs. Then they crumble under the pressure.

Ravens @ Browns 9-12 OT
This was the third time this season that the Browns played in overtime. They’ve almost played an entire game in just OTs. They came out on top with their second win of the season. It had been over 1,000 days since the Browns had won on a Sunday. Rookie Greg Joseph’s field goal made the win in overtime.

Packers @ Lions 23-31
Aaron Rodgers did not have a good first half but then figured out how to throw the ball in the second half. The damage had already been done and the unlikely Lions came out with the win.

Jaguars @ Chiefs 14-30
Mahomes finally threw not one but two interceptions but still came out victorious over the Jags. As it turns out the Chiefs actually have a defense too, picking off Bortles 4 times and recovering a fumble.

Broncos @ Jets 16-34
I did not do well on my picks this week. But really, who thought the Jets would win this game? I sure didn’t and they clobbered the Broncos. To make matters worse I left Robby Anderson on the bench with 123 yards and two touchdowns.

Falcons @ Steelers 17-41
Speaking of wrong picks, I sure did get this one wrong too. The Steelers finally showed up to play a game of football.

NY Giants @ Panthers 31-33
I feel like the Giants are the only team who actually have a good chance to win the game until their opponent makes a career long field goal as time expires... Way to go Gano. In other news OBJ is talking smack about Manning and the Giants released Ereck Flowers.

Raiders @ Chargers 10-26
The Raiders are arguably the worst team in the NFL and they’ve got Jon Gruden for 9 more years. Yikes. This is the second time for Marshawn Lynch that it was 1st and goal on the one yard line and the QB threw an interception instead of handing it off to beast mode…

Vikings @ Eagles 23-21
I’m glad the Vikings won, I just wish that Cousins wouldn’t have thrown to Theilen as much, maybe I could have won in fantasy too.

Cardinals @ 49ers 28-18
Now that the Cardinals have changed QBs they look like they are on the up and up. Rookie Josh Rosen isn’t too shabby.

Rams @ Seahawks 33-31
The Rams lost a couple of wide receivers to concussions during the first half of this game, but because they have Todd Gurley of course they came out on top.

Cowboys @ Texans 16-19 OT
My opponent in fantasy had the Texans defense and a big lead and I had DeAndre Hopkins. I knew at the conclusion of this game that I had lost for the week though it was nice to see the Cowboys lose too.

Redskins @ Saints 19-43
Drew Brees broke Peyton Manning’s all-time record of passing yards during this annihilation of the Redskins. It was almost like the Redskins played passively for Brees to get the record. Of course the record was broken on a 62-yard touchdown pass. There was a short celebration and then back to work. Mark Ingram, back from suspension, also had a stellar game, rushing for a couple of touchdowns.

WEEK 6

Thursday, October 11th

Eagles [2-3] @ NY Giants [1-4] (8:20pm FOX/NFLN/Amazon Prime Video/Twitch)
Long sigh. With a short week and what seems to be schism in the Giants locker room between OBJ and Manning this is sure to be a GREAT game… That’s my sarcastic font.  The Giants are hosting division rival Philadelphia on Thursday night and both teams really could use a win. I am really really hoping that the Giants win this game. I am going to pick them to lose only so I won’t be even more disappointed by getting the pick wrong… Come on GMEN!!!

Sunday, October 14th

Chargers [3-2] @ Browns [2-2-1] (1pm CBS)
I totally expect this game to go into overtime in true Browns fashion. I’m going to pick the Chargers to win.

Steelers [2-2-1] @ Bengals [4-1] (1pm CBS)
I’m going to pick the Bengals to win this game, though this could be the weekend that the old Bengals and old Steelers show up. The Steelers usually have the NFC North owned but now the Bengals are sitting at that top spot.

Buccaneers [2-2] @ Falcons [1-4] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking the Falcons to win, because they have to have more than one win in a season.

Seahawks [2-3] @ Raiders [1-4] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking the Seahawks to win, though it wouldn’t surprise me if the Raiders won. Actually, it would surprise me if the Raiders won.

Bears [3-1] @ Dolphins [3-2] (1pm FOX)
The Bears are coming off their bye so they should be refreshed and ready to play. I’m picking the Bears to win.

Cardinals [1-4] @ Vikings [2-2-1] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking the Vikings to win. I need Kirk Cousins to have a really big game. Both teams are coming off big wins but the Vikings are playing at home and could really use the home field advantage.

Colts  [1-4] @ Jets [2-3] (1pm CBS)
I’m picking the Jets to win. They snapped their 3 game losing streak last week and I hope they can continue this week. The Colts need more than just Luck to get a win this week.

Panthers  [3-1] @ Redskins [2-2] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking the Panthers to win. The Panthers have yet to win on the road this season, maybe this will be the week in which they do

Bills [2-3] @ Texans [2-3] (1pm CBS)
Both teams are pretty evenly matched, maybe it’ll end in a tie. I’m picking the Texans to win, so now the Bills will probably win.

Rams [5-0] @ Broncos [2-3] (4:05pm FOX)
I’m picking the Rams to win. Even though two of their wide receivers are questionable they still have Todd Gurley.

Jaguars [3-2] @ Cowboys [2-3] (4:25pm CBS)
I’m rooting for and picking the Jags to win. It’s like Dallas plays with two completely different teams; a decent one and a high school team. I wonder which Dallas will show up to this game.

Ravens [3-2]  @ Titans [3-2] (4:25pm CBS)
I really need to Titans to play stellar defense. I am picking Tennessee to win this game. The Titans seem to do much better at home and the Ravens have already lost twice on the road. Fingers crossed.

Chiefs [5-0] @ Patriots [3-2] (8:20pm NBC)
I am picking the Pats and rooting for the Chiefs of course.  Tom Brady could be the only quarterback to have 200 regular season wins if the Pats win this game. I hope the Chiefs delay his record.

Monday, October 15th

49ers [1-4] @ Packers [2-2-1] (8:15pm ESPN)
I’m picking the Packers to win this game; they haven’t lost yet this year at home.

BYES: Lions, Saints

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Shenoa Report Week 5 '18 #theshenoareport

The Shenoa Report
October 4, 2018
Regular Season Week 5

We are heading into week 5 and the Rams and Chiefs are still undefeated. I am 2-2 in my league, which seems like par for the course as far as records go this season. The Giants let me down again this week, shocking right?  If I was a Bills fan maybe it wouldn’t phase me as much?  I went 10-5 on my picks, better than last week I suppose.

Let’s recap week four.

Vikings @ Rams 31-38
This was a good game to watch. The defense for both teams was pretty non-existent until the end of the game. Kirk Cousins had a far better game and for that I am thankful. I didn’t need the Vikings to win, just to play better. Jared Goff had a REALLY good game and threw for 5 touchdowns and passed for a career high of 465 yards.

Bills @ Packers 0-22
Aaron Rodgers complained after this game that their offense wasn’t good enough and had a long way to go. Sounds kind of funny after your team shuts out their opponent. Poor Bills.

Bengals @ Falcons 37-36
Andy Dalton found A.J. Green for a game winning touchdown in the final 7 seconds. Bengals fans are just waiting for the bottom to fall out and are riding this high for as long as it lasts.

Buccaneers @ Bears 10-48
This is the one week I should’ve started Mitch. He had 6, SIX!, touchdowns for the Bears in the trouncing of the Bucs. In other news, Fitzpatrick was benched and Winston was named the starting QB for week 5. Also, Kahlil Mack is still amazing.

Eagles @ Titans 23-26 OT
The Titans won!!!!!! This was one of my gutsy picks and I was right! I like being right. Overtime was nuts. The Eagles made a field goal and then the Titans had to get a touchdown to win the game. So that’s what they did. Mariota found Corey Davis for the touchdown at the end of overtime.

Lions @ Cowboys 24-26
Damnit Lions! You lead the ENTIRE game until the Cowboys kick a LAST SECOND field goal to win. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Jets @ Jaguars 12-31
We are now seeing that the Jets first win of the season was just a fluke and they are really the Jets we are accustomed to. Oh well. Blake Bortles isn’t even good and the Jags still won.

Texans @ Colts 37-34 OT
There was a lot of discussion after this game concerning the Colts head coach ultimately deciding it was better to lose than tie. Houston was happy the Colts decided to go for it on fourth down at their own 43 yard line.  Andrew Luck threw an incomplete pass and the Texans took over on downs and kicked the game winning field goal. Easy peasy.

Dolphins @ Patriots 7-38
You might say the Patriots had something to prove going into this game after losing the previous two… They took all their rage out on the Dolphins, who now have their first loss of the season. It was fun while it lasted Miami.

Browns @ Raiders 42-45 OT
The Browns, I mean, the refs were so nice to help the Raiders get their first win of the season.

Seahawks @ Cardinals 20-17
Josh Rosin finally got the start in Arizona and it was looking promising until the Seahawks kicker made a field goal at the end of the game to put them ahead. Even though the Seahawks won, it came at a great cost. They lost TE Will Dissley (so did I) and safety Earl Thomas. Thomas was carted off the field and as he left he flipped his sideline the bird. Instead of holding out like LeVeon Bell he decided to play and his biggest fear came true; out for the rest of the season with an injury and no new contract.

49ers @ Chargers 27-29
The 49ers looked decent without Jimmy G and for a moment I thought they were going to pull off a win. The Chargers wouldn’t let that happen as they rallied to overcome the 49ers.

Saints @ NY Giants 33-18
This game was depressing... The Giants defense was no match for Kamara, who is a beast, and ran for three second half touchdowns. It was hard to watch. I don’t want to talk about it anymore.

Ravens @ Steelers 26-14
Instead of the Ravens falling apart it was the Steelers that continue to implode. The Ravens got out to an early lead and the Steelers never fully recovered. Too bad, so sad. Insert sarcasm here.

Chiefs @ Broncos 27-23
This game was so stressful to watch. I came into this game 11.37 points behind with only one player left to play. It was all up to Tyreek Hill for me to win this week in fantasy. He was only projected to have 10.41 points. I was a mess. I really just needed one touchdown to seal the deal. That touchdown never came. I stopped looking at my fantasy app. Mind you, I don’t get points for kickoff returns. I know my league is a little messed up in the points department. I thought the Broncos were going to hand the Chiefs their first loss of the season. I was happy that the Chiefs prevailed but pissed that Hill didn’t get more touches or a touchdown. When the Chiefs final drive was over, I felt defeated. I opened my fantasy football app to sulk at my third loss of the season… Hill had given me 12.12 points. I had won by .75 points. I went to bed that night happy and relieved.

WEEK 5

Thursday, October 4th

Colts [1-3-1] @ Patriots [2-2] (8:20pm FOX/NFLN/Amazon Prime Video/Twitch)
Josh McDaniels has to face the Colts again. You remember, he accepted the Colts head coaching job in the off season and then decided, no I’m going to stick with the Pats. I’m sure the Colts will welcome him back with open arms. Insert sarcasm again. I’d like to see the Colts win this game just to throw the bird back to McDaniels but I don’t think that’s going to happen. I’m going to pick the Pats to win this game.

Sunday, October 7th

Titans [3-1] @ Bills [1-3] (1pm CBS)
I’ve got the Titans defense so I am picking them to win this game. Sorry Bills fans, it isn’t personal.

Dolphins [3-1] @ Bengals [3-1] (1pm CBS)
I feel like if I pick the Dolphins to win then the Bengals will win and visa versa. What the heck, I’m going to pick the Ginger and Green to bring the Bengals another win.

Ravens [3-1] @ Browns [1-2-1] (1pm CBS)
I’m picking the Ravens to win. The Browns just need to play smarter and Baker Mayfield needs to stop throwing interceptions.

Packers [2-1-1] @ Lions [1-3] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking the Packers to win. I have a hard time picking against Aaron Rodgers.

Jaguars [3-1] @ Chiefs [4-0] (1pm CBS)
The Jags still have a lot of injuries and the Chiefs are playing at home. I’m going to pick the Chiefs to stay undefeated.

Broncos [2-2] @ Jets [1-3] (1pm CBS)
I’m picking the Broncos to win, they have the better defense.

Falcons [1-3] @ Steelers [1-2-1] (1pm FOX)
I’m picking the Falcons to win. Someone will have 2 wins after the conclusion of this game. Wait! Maybe it’ll end in a tie! BAHAHAHAHA

NY Giants  [1-3] @ Panthers [2-1] (1pm FOX)
I’m done picking the Giants, until they can win two in a row… so maybe next year. I’m picking the Panthers for the win.

Raiders [1-3] @ Chargers [2-2] (4:05pm CBS)
I’m picking the Chargers for the win. Sorry Raiders fans, I think last week was a fluke.

Vikings [1-2-1] @ Eagles [2-2] (4:25pm FOX)
I really need the Vikings to have an outstanding game without any touchdowns to Adam Thielen.  I’m picking the Eagles to win but hoping the Vikings do.

Cardinals [0-4] @ 49ers [1-3] (4:25pm FOX)
I’m picking the 49ers to win, though this should be a good game.

Rams [4-0]  @ Seahawks [2-2] (4:25pm FOX)
I’m picking the Rams to win, Seattle has begun a downward spiral.

Cowboys [2-2] @ Texans [1-3] (8:20pm NBC)
I’d love to see the Texans win this game and I think they can as long as they can contain Zeek. I’m picking the Texans for the win.

Monday, October 8th

Redskins [2-1] @ Saints [3-1] (8:15pm ESPN)
Mark Ingram is back from suspension, I’m picking the Saints for the win.
