Regular Season Week 10

I can’t believe that we are already over half way through the season. Is it just me, or is the drama in the NFL becoming more frequent and Jersey Shore like? It’s starting to sound like an episode of Glee! I mean we’ve heard about murders, arrests, drug abuse, bullying….. It’s getting a little ridiculous. At this point I’d rather hear that Bret Favre is coming back to play football in the NFL than another grown ass man acting like a fool… wait, isn’t that the same thing? Bad example. Anyway, to the guys in the NFL, how about you grow up and not just act like men, but BE men, AND be good role models for those who look up to you. (Stepping off my soap box now)
With training this past weekend I didn’t get to watch much football. But, I learned a lot and my classroom will benefit from it! I didn’t do well on my picks at 8-5 but really, who thought that the Jets would beat the Saints and that the Eagles back-up QB would throw 7 touchdowns against the Raiders?

Let’s recap week 9.

Bengals (6-2) @ Dolphins (3-4) 20-22 OT
Driving out to training I had the game on the XM radio and I was super surprised that the Dolphins dominated the game, and that it went into over time AND that it was a safety in the end zone that ended it in over time. Poor Ginger.

Falcons (2-5) @ Panthers (4-3) 10-34
It pains me that the Panthers are better than the Giants, but for Panthers fans I suppose it’s about time.

Vikings (1-6) @ Cowboys (4-4) 23-27
It was another heart breaking loss for the Vikings.

Saints (6-1) @ Jets (4-4) 20-26
I’ve gotta hand it to the Jets, after coming off of that embarrassing loss they really bounced back. I must admit I’m still in shock over their win.

Titans (3-4) @ Rams (3-5) 28-21
The Rams seem to be one of those team who are actually fairly good but just seem to lose close games… kinda like the Panthers.  With the Titans win I know at least my cousin is happy!

Chiefs (8-0) @ Bills (3-5) 23-13
This ending didn’t surprise me at all. I’m just so happy for Alex Smith, after all he went through in San Francisco last season it’s nice to know he’s appreciated and flourishing in KC

Chargers (4-3) @ Redskins (2-5) 24-30 OT
I was able to watch the opening drive of this game on my lunch break during training. Even though the Redskins had a long opening drive they didn’t come away with any points so I was confident in the Chargers… thanks for letting me down San Diego.

Eagles (3-5) @ Raiders (3-4) 49-20
Wow, Nick Foles, the backup QB for the Eagles threw 7 TDs and no interceptions. I did NOT see that coming.

Buccaneers (0-7) @ Seahawks (7-1) 24-27 OT
Amazed that it took overtime for the Seahawks to take the win. I thought this game would’ve been a blowout…

Ravens (3-4) @ Browns (3-5) 18-24
Yeah Brownies!!!!!

Steelers (2-5) @ Patriots (6-2) 31-55
This was the only game that I could have listened to on the drive home from Raleigh… I love, love, LOVE football but even I couldn’t listen to that mess.

Colts (5-2) @ Texans (2-5) 27-24
Another close game… poor Texans.

Bears (4-3) @ Packers (5-2) 27-20
I have to apologize to all the Packers fans for Aaron Rodgers. My roommate and I started watching this game and I saw the caterpillar growing on Aarons lip again and I yelled at the tv to get that nonsense off the field. I didn’t intend for Aaron to get hurt and be out the rest of the game, and for the next 3-5 weeks, I just wanted him to shave his face!

WEEK 10
Thursday November 7th

Redskins (3-5) @ Vikings (1-7) [8:25pm NFLN]
Hoping, praying, and picking the Vikings for the win tonight, though I’m not sure why.

Sunday November 10th

Eagles (4-5) @ Packers (5-3) [1pm FOX]
With Rodgers out and Foles on point this should be a tight game. I’m going to pick the Packers for the win though, only because it goes against everything I know and love to pick the Eagles.

Rams (3-6) @ Colts (6-2) [1pm FOX]
I’d love to see the Rams upset the Colts… that’d be the best. But I’m picking the Colts for the win.

Seahawks (8-1) @ Falcons (2-6) [1pm FOX]
Picking the Seahawks for the win.

Jaguars (0-8) @ Titans (4-4) [1pm CBS]
Abby, I’m going with your team for the win! Picking the Titans.

Bills (3-6) @ Steelers (2-6) [1pm CBS]
I’d love to see the Bills win, and I think they could if they can get pressure to Big Ben. Picking the Bills, but mostly because I can’t stand the Steelers.

Raiders (3-5) @ NY Giants (2-6) [1pm CBS]
Can we win 3 in a row?! Let’s hope so! I’m picking the Giants for the win.

Bengals (6-3) @ Ravens (3-5) [1pm CBS]
Picking the Bengals over the Ravens.

Lions (5-3) @ Bears (5-3) [1pm FOX]
This should be a good game.  I’m taking the Lions, even though they’ve let me down in the past.

Panthers (5-3) @ 49ers (6-2) [4:05pm FOX]
I’d love to see the Panthers pound the 9ers but I’m going to have to pick San Francisco for the win.

Texans (2-6) @ Cardinals (4-4) [4:25pm CBS]
I’m taking the Cardinals.

Broncos (7-1) @ Chargers (4-4) [4:25pm CBS]
Picking the Broncos for the win. Even though they won’t have their head coach.

Cowboys (5-4) @ Saints (6-2) [8:30pm NBC]
Saints, don’t let me down! I’m picking you… play tough!!!!

Monday November 11th

Dolphins (4-4) @ Buccaneers (0-8) [8:40pm ESPN]
I’m picking the Bucs to get their first win…  Crazy I know.

If you are a Patriots, Jets, Browns, or Chiefs fan you’re in luck…. Your team won’t lose this week!

BYE: Patriots, Jets, Browns, Chiefs

GO GMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the edit Mom!!!!!!!
