Super Bowl 49
HAPPY
SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!!!!!! I feel like the season flew by faster than any other.
Obviously this Super Bowl isn’t as exciting to me as say, Super Bowl 42 or 46
but, nonetheless it’s still THE SUPER BOWL!!!!
So
much has happened since my last report. Once again the Patriots have been
accused of cheating (cough, cough, shocker). Everyone is calling it Deflategate
because New England is being accused of deflating footballs before the AFC
Championship game against the Colts. The
Pro Bowl came and went and wasn’t really worth talking about. Marshawn Lynch
has had some amazing responses to questions during his press conferences
(insert sarcasm here). Peyton Manning is pondering retiring after not making it
back to the Super Bowl. I hope he doesn’t, I’m not ready for that, nor do I
even want to think about it.
Before
we talk about Super Bowl 49 let’s recap Championship Sunday. PS I went 2-0 on my picks just like Football
Baby.
Anyway…
Packers @ Seahawks 22-28
OT
I think that my
roommate and I were the only ones on the East Coast that actually believed that
the Seahawks were going to win this game.
You’ve gotta hand it to the Packers, they swayed a lot of people to
believe that they had that game in the bag. Aaron Rodgers almost made a
believer out of me too, Sorry Packer fans. I’m not going to gloat. It was a
good run.
Colts @ Patriots
7-45
Unfortunately, I had
a touch of the flu and wasn’t able to stay up and watch this game. Or, should I say, fortunately I had a touch
of the flu so I wasn’t able to stay up and watch this game. Either way, I’m glad I didn’t watch. It wasn’t a thrilling game, but a tragic
game. The Monday after this game the Patriots were accused of deflating
footballs and cheating. Apparently, if the football is slightly deflated one
can grip it better, giving an advantage to the thrower and the ball handler.
There is an ongoing investigation in which the NFL is seeking answers. You can
keep up with Deflategate on NFL.com
If anything positive
has come out of this, it is that instead of talking about the Packers and Colts
losses, attention has turned to deflated balls; as absurd as that is.
Super Bowl Sunday

Patriots VS Seahawks 6:30pm NBC
Super Bowl 49 will kick off in Glendale Arizona in the
Cardinals stadium, which is coincidently the same place the Patriots played
Super Bowl 42. Do you remember that
game? The Patriots went in with a perfect record playing a team that squeaked
into the post season. They were on the
verge of making history. Having an undefeated, perfect season, surely they
would beat the NY Football Giants. I mean the Giants went into that game with a
regular season record of 10-6, finishing not first but second in their division..
.. Oh yeah, that’s right, then the helmet catch happened on a third and long
and Eli Manning connected with David Tyree to keep the 2 minute drill alive
ending with a Plaxico Burress touch down to win the game. Oh memories. Anyway,
the Patriots are back, as well as the Seattle Seahawks. I’m hoping for a repeat
on both accounts. I hope that the Pats lose again in Glendale and that the
Seahawks win back to back Super Bowls. We shall just wait and see.
Football Baby has picked the Seahawks to win and I am as
well. I’ll be watching the game with
some of my lovely friends.
Katy Perry is the headliner for the halftime show, it’s ok
if you don’t recognize that name Dad, just know that she’s got a great sense of
humor and I’m pretty sure she’s rooting for the Seahawks as well.
GOOOOOOOOOO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the edit Mom!
